Nah let's say that your low hp, like 21, and you get shot in the turret by a medium with HE cos they wanted a quick kill. Congrats they did 0 and you lived and in a 1v1 scenario where both tanks are one shot. That's a pretty good thing to have.

It's actually more useful when a tank is stock, the 10% is a bigger comparative bonus than when maxed. You have no choice in whether you play a tank stock or not and you aim to max it out as fast as possible, but you have plenty of choice about whether you play with consumables. Playing without them is a huge disadvantage and nobody wants to try and win a 6v7 every game which is what you are purposefully putting your teammates into

Get the engine and tracks first, then the guns,then the ISU. The guns on the SU152 are useless (they aren't useless just not worth playing compared to the 152), but they unlock them for the ISU and you will really really want them for the stock grind.

Grinds get a lot longer at higher tiers so you don't want to be grinding 300k xp with a stock tier 9. It's not super common for tanks to have shared modules like the SU and the ISU but they are scattered around the tech tree

The IS3 is a brilliant tank for learning positioning but it's pretty punishing if you get it wrong so that's one to watch out for, otherwise russian tech tree is pretty straightforward. Mostly trying to use your alpha when people aren't looking and finding ways to make up for horrible gun handling

It's sort of individual to the player about what lines to play, you'll find things you like and things you don't from experience and then you can choose other lines that are similar. The best thing I remember doing when I was a noob was trying to grind like 5 different lines at once and playing them all evenly so I got a load of experience although I didn't get to tier 10 quickly at all I got lots and lots of learning done. I'd advise going for a couple of lines mainly and then when you get bored or tired going for a few secondary lines for fun

also it is an accepted fact that in higher tiers you are not supposed to make credits. you can, but on rare occasions.

Take a sniping position that supports either meds/lights and be sure to keep your distance, you do not want to get flanked in that tank obviously @soft tiger

Your armor isn’t even semi-reliable against heavies, so backing them up wouldn’t be too great, especially if it’s a side-scraping brawl

British lights play like mediums, british mediums have hesh later on but otherwise their armor is subpar
4005 line is 0 armor TDs
British heavies start off with low damage fast firing guns with decent armor before having terrible armor but still having fast firing guns

Imo go for the lights

4005 line does provide guns for the entire tree though
