How about increasing SU-122-54 upper plate to ~140mm and giving it say 7 degrees gun depression? That might make it more loved. For SU-101 and SU-100M1 give them more depression too.

183 tips, idk but i mostly play it like flanker i mean go find spot that can hit enemies from they side and I've never play it as sniper right now, but back than it's my 1st tier 10 back 3 years ago, and i play it as sniper, rn i found kinda read map and flank is better gameplay for me

I usually wouldn’t advise going on a flank in it.
It’s very much team dependent due to the long reload/big tank profile/poor camo/unreliable armour.
You always want to be near your team as you will usually get focused in it, especially after you shot people will try to take advantage

For the FV215b 183, I would recommend taking more AP instead of Gold HE because it doesn't do the maximum damage if you hit the desired target incorrectly

it's not trash frontline, you have a big gun, tons of HP, and small weakspots that are predictable and easy to hide.

Basically out alpha your opponents. Peek take a shot, hide, repeat. In the reload downtime, make yourself impenetrable. Even if you take a hit, you will be winning the slugfest because of the alpha and hp pool it has.

you shouldn't be using HE that much honestly. just stay hulldown and snap out AP/APCR, if you have trouble penning HE then just don't risk it.

first, search up WoT blitz ammunition mechanics. they never promised that HE would guarantee pen. If HE had standard shell pen wouldn’t AP be obsolete? get into a hulldown position or use your gun depression on a ridge. if the place you’re shooting with HE is orange, it will never pen. i suggest staying away from HE and firing standard or prammo

Hmmm yeah sounds like typical hulldown gameplay. I guess i can get used to being slow(compared to what i usually drive like stb and fatton).

Didn't consider sidescraping at first either. Since the other two British heavies are very poor at sidescraping. Still can't angle more than 72 tho which is autoricochet angle. But sidescraping is quite literally the last ditch effort to bounce anyways.

I only have the leopard and I can say you have to be very careful and mistakes will punish you but your gun is beautiful+great mobility.

E50M has decent armor and (don't quote me on this) I'm pretty sure you can sidescrape. Also has similar gun to leopard 1 but less accurate I think. Decent mobility and also great for ramming and bullying other meds and lights

Your best bet is to probably watch vids on both and see what you like better

@gentle comet The tank belongs with mediums and on ridges using the gun depression. You generally don’t want to go with the rest of your heavies to the front line because you lack penetration and your armour isn’t reliable enough to go toe to toe with enemy heavies (especially super heavies)
Don’t be hesitant to go on the medium flank and help your mediums. It has the mobility to do that. Just because it is labelled as a heavy does not automatically mean you cannot go with your mediums.
Also, be on the ridges where you can. Armour is more reliable when you hide your hull and use your gun depression, but do not rely on turret too much because of cheeks and the cupola. Always keep the turret moving to make it difficult to hit.

They are both good tanks but people prefer the German bulldog because of the higher alpha and better terrain resistances. Accelerates faster than the ru, but has a lower top speed.
I have played both extensively and I think it’s a bit of a personal preference as to which tank you choose

It’s not 251 slides far too much when it’s at max speed and loses it very easily the bulldog family is known for their consistent speeds and traction plus bulldog is a more compact and flexible tank with 8 gun depression all around where RU cannot defend itself if it it’s forced to run or being chased by an enemy light

From my experience I have taken shots better in the ru.
Bulldog is a bit taller because of the hull, and it is easier to penetrate HE in the side of the hull. But the better acceleration does make the bulldog better for enemy lights. It can be pretty frustrating in the ru with how slow it can be to accelerate for a light tank

I somehow still couldn't like Ho-RI, i tried taking out most vital targets but still won't cut myself to like the tank, the size makes me want to cry couldn't adapt unlike when using other TD, i prob got used to the T2 version for it's smaller size and better gun dep but the T3 Ho-RI seems like not a match up for me, is there anything i should improve at? don't 1v1 it head on. count shells if you can, bait it out of a hulldown position, or relocate. Emil/Kran isn't good when facing multiple targets, because of the turret profile and the relatively low damage output.

  1. great hull turning rate and great engine power
  2. an amazing turret that it better than the emil 1
  3. great gun with 4 shell autolaoder for 190 a pop and a 2 sec inter
  4. decent top speed but not a speed demon
  5. its a big target so watch where your being shot from and try to hide
  6. no hull armor what so ever

it is pretty good but damage output is bit low for 16s reload and then you need 6s exposure time to unload magazine.
Tank has good pick up and speed is decent 45 kmph, turret is the only armor it has got, hull is paper to even such degree that quite a few tanks can go through with HE if you let them aim at your sides

gun is very nice, aim time is very quick and dispersion is good, coefficients on dispersion of turret rotation, movement and hull traverse are all quite low, so the gun stays stable even on the move. Penetration is very good on standard shells, has got gun depression at front and sides.
I will say never push in this tank unless it is end game situation and you got hp advantage or there is only one target that you are confident in taking out with your clip, otherwise this tank is quite easy to torn apart.

and you got very gut view range if I remember it right 306m fully topped tank

my equipment: vents (can be swapped out for calibrated shells (doesn't really matter)), optics, gun laying drive, armor buff, engine accelerator and refined gun.

if you are planning to buy this tank and you already happen to have progetto 46 or Lorraine then don't bother buying it, playstyle is similar but your tank feels much slower than other two and damage output is lower, just to have decent turret. Don’t hesitate to reload the clip when you only have one shell remaining and no opportunity to shoot. Don’t expect any or many bounces and don’t try to be the guy who holds the frontline, but instead be a second line supporter who picks his target

In short, yes.
It’s an all-round good medium, good armour, good mobility, good gun (save for the dpm but that’s good enough). It also has a very high skill ceiling so you can learn forever with this thing which is quite beautiful. The entire line is either very strong or bearable, so it won’t be a horrible grind either. It’s a nice mix of a German heavy and a 105mm medium tank, and even if you can’t combine the two playstyles at first it’s still forgiving enough that you won’t go home with nothing. I recommend it

@solid gate Put generally, TDs put emphasis on their gun. Its usually all about the gun. High DPM/High Penetration/High alpha are common characteristics for tank destroyer guns. You want to position yourself to be able to use your gun effectively.
How you want to position depends on what kind of td you are playing.
For example, if I was driving a glass cannon tank destroyer like the Grille 15, I would be in the backline, finding sniping positions etc

Yes sidescraping is quite effective in the maus especially since the turret is towards the rear.
When you aren’t sidescraping, you want to always be angling the hull and turret. Wiggling also helps as the frontal weakspots are quite small. You can troll quite a few shots into your tracks if you wiggle the lower plate

Just got Eagle 7 and had a bad first impression because my team got butchered, then after a while I started to see it's potential the tank is just like what Pershing should've been, overall profile is Chonk the gun isn't the problem, the pen is kinda meh but still workable. DPM I'd say average at its best, overall the tank is just really a solid medium that can do well in many situation just kinda sad it lacks on the top speed, like im forced to use the super speed boost to unlock the speed limiter.

The tank has everything for being a medium, so i guess they don't want it to be so speedy for example The dingo needs time to accelerate to its top speed so it won't get into a really strong position that fast so the enemy can have some poke shots to prevent it.

CS, you might want to have some boost on your pen, since you're not so flexible with 40km/h top speed, to actually flank quick enough and get a suprise shot from other angle unless of course you use the super speed boost but it's temporary meaning, can only be done once in a while. And the DPM will also just become average.

In case you are wondering, it's the tech tree one which no one remembers.

The front currently is at 63 so buff it to 80 or 90mm.

If you already have good or average pen, you don't really need a CS tbh, since you're already fine penning people so rammer is more important, having slightly better reload is very important.

The VK 36 H has mostly good pen, increasing it would only make a difference penetrating the front of the ARL 44 and Churchill VII. The rest of the tanks will be penetrated anyways, a bigger alpha is a good option.

Tiger 2 is far more scary if you don't have pen than the T-2020 since the Tiger II has a very good gun. Fun fact, by the way..the RHM has b o n k e r s premium ammo pen on the 15 cm gun, higher premium ammo pen than the ISU-152's BL-10
