The IS-3 doesn’t have good armor for high penners and same for KV-4, the KV-4 has a worse turret but both can sidescrape. The ST-I has armor and the IS-8 is fast. The IS-7 and IS-4 are basically as reliable to each other

after the buff HTC is useable but it's not amazing great, if you've used the T28, T28 Prot, and the AT 15 you'll do fine, it combines 105 dmg with the gun arch of an AT 15, all while being more mobile than the afore mentioned tanks

if you dont have any premiums whatsoever, HTC is an ok start, but if you've already got some, then wait, or even better, grind out this event for the EXP

@ebon cloak don't use gold on the arl. It's easy enough to grind the turret first, then everything else. At that tier, you should be able to elite that tank in about 60 decent battles if you're an average player not using premium time. Save your gold for maxing a crew at tier 10

the trick with the IS-7, is to make sure to point that pike nose straight on your enemy

same for any pike nose really, but when you try to angle is when people usually get you. I mean you can add some skill and twerk a bit when you think they will shoot to bounce, but I wouldn't worry about that up front

@red grotto The STB-1 is pretty close to a Leo 1. You are fast, a great gun, 350 alpha is great for a medium. Also a very quick aiming time. Besides that you have some armor unlike the Leo, but not the crazy speed levels the Leo has. You are low on the ground as well which give you a good camo rating to outspot your opponents. Oh and the 10 degrees of gun depression makes it a great hull down tank too. (The best gun depression in class)

@valid lodge in reference to your earlier question about how the SP 1C compares to the French lights, like the 12t, I think the big difference is alpha damage and penetration. The SP 1C does significantly more single shot damage, and has much better AP penetration. This makes it more versatile, as it does not have to spend as much time exposed as it aims and unloads damage. This translates to a higher effective dpm in battle.

The one caveat I would add to my commentary is that I have not actually driven the French light tank line in battle. However, I do drive the SP 1C quite a bit, and have generally found it to be quite an underrated tank.

@short flame Wrong. Standard ammunition Fv has 259mm pen WZ has 255, and I was talking about standard ammo I guess it's better pen if using prammo on both tanks. Mobility is kinda dependent on which aspect, was talking about forward acceleration and too speed where the wz has better p/w ratio and top speed. Unsure how much ground resistance affects who is faster in battle tho, but yeah I didn't take into account traverse 😬

The tiger 2 isn't really good due to the weak turret/side armour and a 105mm gun doesn't really pack much alpha damage. As for the VK 100.01 P it has a 128mm gun with 460 alpha and the armour protection, while having 2 weakspots, is still much better and will do very well when sidescraping

Should I sell the AC IV sentinel? It’s probably the worst prem I have in my garage and I never use it. The only reason I keep it because you can’t just buy it from the store and i have the Ozzie camouflage for it.

Jumbo’s really strong if you manage to find a position to expose only your turret. In an all out brawl, if you manage to dig it out of its position, it tends to die pretty easily against other same tier mediums due to its low DPM and poor mobility
