Well, if we think about correct pvp, means that there is no relief and nothing disturbs the player and other conditions are fine, like the usual playing, armor is always useless. You always can penetrate any tank from any reflection and direction, of course if you play on the same level that this tank does. So, in fact, armor doesn't give you any damn thing if it's not like blocking thing, like mask of e5 or minotauro turret. Accuracy also doesn't mean anything because the circle is random, there are half of the tanks in the game with better accuracy and it still doesn't change IS-4 position in my opinion. DPM is always key parameter when we look at how good is the certain tank

It's not meta because I am not the only one player who finds this tank average, not the worst one and not the best. If you ll go to rb 6k, where I am exactly right now, you will never meet more than 1 is4 per team, except platoons. Instead, people take Sheridans, Vickerses, TVP-s, STBs and anything else except this crap.

In usual battles with random players with average 50% with your good hands this tank can do a lot. While you are going to the position. And then you find out that the battle is finished, cause double middle tanks platoon pushed everyone on the other direction. And the only think remaining for you is just wait for your death with your <3k dpm, by not being able to hit 60% player average damage.

I ve played IS-4 more than you think. And it's dumb to compare medium TVP with twice 1240 rounds, when IS-4 has 2544 HP. And IS-4 also has DPM booster as consumable. So it will win on the straight surface without any modules damage anyways.

but then we remember that is-4 is heavy tank, so if movement is allowed, any damn pro is-4 will lose to pro TVP player, cause you just can't rotate faster, and on tvp you can control your position better and rule the world 😄

There aren't lots of lines they can add unless they make fakes to fill in the gaps (some of the fakes do have some basis in reality) and some tank lines have been ruined by turning them into premiums

The M46 has a different engine compared to the M26 and has a muzzle break on the gun, the M47 had a lot of radical changes made to it which would make a better candidate at tier 8 than the M46

Yes and logically that would make more sense since the M47 was designed to improve the M46 on all levels. Mobility remained the same, but the tank got an improved FCS w/ rangefinder, got a new gun that can fire ammo with higher pressure, and the upper plate is cast and 200 mm effective when you look at it from flat ground. There isn't much of a difference between an M46 and M26 other than driver controls and a better transmission and engine

The jump from tier 7 to 8 is funny because WG treats tier 8 as their mini tier 10 they can just randomly decide to make some tier 10’s 8’s so you get stuff like tier 7-8 heavies going from the tiger an early WW2 tank to Tornvagn a 1978 MBT concept

Heavium, used to be able to fight other heavies directly but now with premium hesh you can’t anymore.

So go with mediums, now that the hesh can actually hit stuff (buffed shell velocity), use hesh to put fear into mediums and chase down fast tanks turning their rear on you trying to escape.

Hesh is just high explosive shells with higher penetration power in this game (irl it’s a very different thing), aim for the usual weakspots in tanks and you should be able to pen them with hesh. Hitting orange areas on a tank will only do reduced damage, try to hit area without any color highlight

It's a support hev. You can Frontline but it's armor isn't the best for players with semi-decent aim. Let your other hevs take the shots and use your hesh and tungsten to nuke people with dpm

Oh I forgot to mention this, you may already know that some tanks have spaced armor (for example in tier 10 sheridan’s entire hull, t22 medium side armor)

Since spaced armor is just empty spaces, they can massively reduce he or hesh dmg

Take this tank as example, the side armor near the tracks are gray, no red highlight, but they are spaced armor so they reduces he or hesh damage. They will also completely absorbs heat shells, therefore use AP or APCR shells to pen these spaced armor areas.

If you have played centurion 7/1 in the british tech tree, you will find that the Chieftain mk6 now has a very similar play style as centurion

E50 is tough to play in these days as there are many very strong tanks in tier 9 and 10, there are also a lot of veteran players who takes the game very seriously in these tiers, so it’s ok

Things will get a lot better when you get e50m, it’s a very strong tank now but of course that means you will face even tougher enemies.

Right now only tier 8 to 10 is playable for me, too many op tanks in tier 7

It’s a common problem for all of us so you need to get used to it lol,

The only way to make use of this situation is to ensure these bad teammates are the ones taking the hits instead of you. There’s no other way around

You can thank WarGaming for reducing exp required to play high tiers years ago, allowing all the newbies to ruin high tier games

As for sealclubbers, there’s this system called newbie matchmaking, but I don’t think it’s working well

You shouldn’t have sold 252u since it’s a solid tank that can teach you high tier game tactics. Never sell premium and collector tanks

Right now the best way to play the game is to unlock some good tier 8 - 10 tanks, or save up gold to buy good premium tanks im tier 8-10.

I personally recommend the T30 tank destroyer in usa tier 9, it’s a simple but strong tank, capable of sniping and holding frontlines depending on the situation.

Enrichment is a scam in this game, you will be better off saving gold to buy premium tanks and use them to grind credits (yes even in tier 6 or 7). I highly recommend you to keep any premium tanks you have to be honest.

T8/10 is for competitive players. T6/7 is more casual but it’s not balanced so its not fun either, thats the state of this game right now

For premium/collector tanks, keep an eye out for:

Czech Skoda 45
Chinese M41D
American Super hellcat
Soviet IS-2 or IS-2 shielded (not to be mistaken with the chinese tier 8 heavy)

I can only recommend CS 52 lis for medium tanks, it’s one of the few (if not only) tier 7 medium tanks that are good. It’s a premium but it was given for free to all players in a event in the past

For tier 6 M4a3e8 is a good all-rounder, tho you may have enjoyed the sherman jumbo more, which is now impossible to get.

In this meta usually heavies and tds are the way to go in tier 6/7, and that’s mostly what I recommended in my list

The Finnish Vickers in game was made by Finland ordering empty vickers “shells” and Finland adding all the internal equipment themselves and even the gun was a Bofors gun they added themselves BT-42 is the only original tank we’ve made tho that counts as its one unique tank

It used the hull of captured BT-7’s but the turret was Finnish built and that’s enough to count it as a new unique tank

During WW2 they didn’t care at all about preservation for museums so the only way they convinced the US to keep the tiger 1 was to cross section cut it to use as a “training tool” but after the war tank museums became a thing and as time went on started to care a little more about preserving tanks

I’m certain T54E1 would’ve been scrapped with them if it wasn’t in a field somewhere
