Learn the tanks and how to play them. Each tank has strengths and weaknesses. Some side scrape and more suited to fiat /town etc, some you play ridges and hulldown with strong turrets. Wg should make tutorials about all kinds of gameplay, but sadly it won't happen.

Tanks with combat stability perk might run double aim time (e6. Etc)

High pen tanks like tds run rammer over cali. And Vents is a viable option after the buffs now. But you can't really go wrong with cali on all tanks as a standard

A bit late to the party, but I assume Wargaming is going full strange alternate history lore from the look of things

You are forgetting this game isn’t realistic at all and that all tanks are subject to Wargaming’s wrath or mercy. If the WZ-122TM was placed at tier 6, it’s because Wargaming wanted it there. When a tank was made or designed doesn’t affect how Wargaming decides to balance a tank.

There are few tanks in this game that have things like LRFs and advanced FCS and that doesn’t affect how those tanks performs in game.

Technically this whole game is historically incorrect. You gonna complain about that too? 105 L7 Ordinance HEAT rounds have 400 mm of pen. The M103’s AP round has over 300 mm of penetration. The Maus happens to fit a particular niche and plays a particular role in battle. It just happens to be very heavy and heavily armoured and I don’t think there is anything special about it.

Ok, my question is how do you erase those "massive" flaws? In my eyes, there really isn't a problem with people having an opinion of a tank considering this game doesn't make any effort to stay historical. Why does Wargaming need to conform to historicity when this game has already established its identity and roots in being a fictional game with some historical elements?

I absolutely hold WG responsible for mudying the history of armoured vehicles development. They've basically fabricated a lot of tank and tried to pass them as real while surfing on the popularity of nazi warmachines, in a depoliticised way that imo isn't the most appropriate. Wether WG respects history or not in their game isn't relevant but the meta-game handling of history by wg whacky at best, despite them sponsoring museums

Some historical games like CK3 have a lot of inlaid tooltips to explain historical concepts within the game and contextualize them. Most wg players would be interested

E50M is much easier to play. Leo is great but very squishy so high skill ceiling

Plus I think E50 got a slight buff last update? only WG knows why….. certainly didn’t need it

Leo has around 200 more dpm, a bit more speed…. but surprisingly only 7 degrees of gun depression v E50’s 8. To me that’s important. I love that hull down peek play style
