Yeah I tried it, its pretty good, but your turret and lower plate are still massive weak spots, and you have to expose yourself more, so its not really that much of an advantage vs the boomstick

Wargaming probably thinks the tank doesn't really have much of a selling point like the CDC or T95E2 and that's probably why it will not be making an appearance any time soon. I wish they had a perma crate for bad tanks or tanks that are considered underutilized (with higher pull rates) so people an still get them even though they are out of the shop.

yeah, it works incredibly well in that role. Also another interesting thing is that when you use your gun depression, the turret is almost impossible to hit since the gun is placed high up on the turret compared to more conventional designs

As so long as you stay on the move and use the gun depression, the tank is a complete monster against almost everything it faces

If you travel quite a bit, you could get a decent laptop. I got a laptop when I was in high school because it was convenient for moving around or setting up quickly at a friend’s place

The only main inconvenience is that it isn’t something you can use as easily when you are on the move and it is heavier than a tablet

Looking into the lore of Char Futur I didn’t know this but it could potentially be the most modern tank in the game

Currently i considered Tornvagn the most modern because the source I found says 1976-78 so if Futur started in 77 then that makes it the most modern

TLDR, no tanks were supposed to be designed just yet, but a few engineers came up with a few drawings to kind of see what they could come up with to meet those expectations. The resulting drawings looked like this:

Of course nothing came of those drawings because they were conceptual and more so plans to implement innovations into future French tanks. But the Autoloading system conceived in the drawing is the main system that has been adapted for use in the Leclerc tank

I actually prefer the way the Char Futur 4 is implemented in the PC version compared to Blitz. On PC it has an autoloader that has a long interclip of 4 seconds, has low DPM but great accuracy and decent handling. It's unique and doesn't play like any other tank that is currently in the game. But in Blitz, it's just a more fancier and cooler Leopard PTA. Same gun depression and similar gun stats with nothing interesting or unusual distinguishing them from each other.

It really could have been either the 105 or the 120mm. What's interesting about the drawings provided is that the ammunition modelled are HEAT-FS rounds and not the more rounded HEAT warhead used in the 105 mm F1 gun.... That could indicate that the French Army at the time was looking to transition over to the 120 mm smoothbore cannon??

Yeah most likely it is. Apparently Arsenal de Bourges was the one that designed the cannon but it's produced by GIAT (previously AMX). The earlier iteration of the French 120 mm was designed exclusively for the export market (indexed as CN120-25) the 120 mm gun in French service is different (index CN120-26). I actually have no idea what the differences are, but the export model for the 120 mm was designed around the same time the requirements for the Char Futur 4 program was being planned. But I assume that if the Char Futur 4 was built, they might have created multiple prototypes with both guns.
