🤝 Tbf, Wargaming does have "advanced" cold war vehicles in WoT PC. Take a look at the Leo 1 battlepass skin. It's literally a Leo 1A1A1 or 1A3 (I can't tell the difference between both of them). However it's just a skin and doesn't affect in game performance.

Ok so question mark conference was mainly for presenting new unique ideas since normal tank development can get stale of just doing what they knew works
So the main thing with the Yohs was to just get a bunch of really wacky ideas down and see if they could possibly work

Random stuff like the emergency track,7’s engine in the turret,the stupid shape of 5 and 6’s turret and other stuff like that

And even if the Yohs themselves would never be built they thought maybe their features could be incorporated into future designs like the emergency track idea (never was)

Going through the lights is pretty forgiving. LTTB has lots of angles that make it pretty troll, 54 ltwt is a solid tank all round with some turret armor to work with, then you get to the T-54 which is where the line starts to become mediums with heavy tank turrets. With armor and Cali on the T-62A you can essentially add an extra heavy tank to your team

Another important issue. As it is possible for a heavy tank, no matter the tank, to fire at a more fragile tank such as the Bourrasque or the Lorraine, and the tank deflects the bullet impact or the shot does no damage.

Heat will never bounce in blitz. For AP shells, if the effective armor of the tank is still above the pen of the shell after 2cr and 3cr are applied, then the shell will fail to pen

A good example of this is a KV-2 shooting the side of an A-20. At high angles, despite the KV-2 overmatching the side of the A-20, its shell doesn’t have enough pen to get through

Your tank has a “vision circle” that is denoted by its view range. If a tank is outside of this view range, you will not be able to spot it. A tank’s camo also comes into play by making it so you have to get closer to spot them.

Selling premium and collectors tanks are generally not advised as for premiums Turning a “paid currency” into a free one isn’t a good trade and because you can just grind the credits anyway. Similar principles apply with selling collectors. To “save money” you’re getting gold at the cost of putting your account in debt. It’ll just start a cycle of sell tank then buy or grind gold back to repurchase or just dig yourself in to a pit of I have X amount of tanks I have to rebuy. Selling these tanks are just short cuts that hurt in the long run. Also selling a higher tier tank to buy more high tier tanks is rather contradictory Yeah I know this is a text wall sorry

Yeah yeah, 2 things. It's a support HT, not a frontline one. So it doesn't need armor/mobility/HP/DPM. And it's a HT, which find in close ranges and thus high shell velocity isn't needed. Secondly, it's not supposed to be competetive, it's meant to be fun and to mess around, and that's exactly what it does. I've played a few battles in it and it really is enjoyable

It's not fun when your 4.8k cred HESH shell somehow misses the side of a Charioteer at point-blank range at full aim and no motion. And muzzle velocities matter, especially because of how slow this thing is, both traverse and reload, how do you expect to pin a much more mobile tank that's gotten up close?

The KV-2 is fun, but you can be competitive in it. The SU-152 is fun and you still can be competitive in it. And of course, the T49 is fun AND you can still be competitive in it.

The T49 literally outclasses the Caliban in every single way and it's literally a tech tree light tank that everyone can get. What's the point of a premium heavy tank that can't do what it's supposed to do?

I've played somewhere around 100-200 battles in it, not including event game modes and I find it lacking in every possible aspect, apart from having HESH with 183 levels of potency. But that's just about it.
