Yes, the playstyle is different, u should hide more while u are in the yoh, but trading hp is really good, like u shoot 2 shoots boom 950 and 60tp only does 650 to you, definitely 2 shot, believe me its better

170mm is too weak! Gravedigger needs some rebalancing and would be great if it would be aimed towards the gun performance

T77 is IMO is an outright better pick than Shark. I find it performs better, and the 2 shell autoloader is more fun to play than Shark’s bog-standard “hulldown with some flexibility” playstyle

Already bought it and oh boy do i love the t77. Its just a t57 heavy but t8 and i already love the "take half of hp and roll away" with heavies and meds.

I got it while planing in leaving the shark just for tournys as a plan b tank.

In tier 8 tourneys, the only tank you need is tech tree Caernarvon. 3k DPM with HP provisions, adrenaline, and reactive just flattens literally anything in front of it.

Suffice to say it pays for it with alpha that's lower than most lights/mediums in the tier. Personally while I don't deny it's good, I do think it's slightly overhyped just because there are going to be times when you can't consistently apply that dpm and the low alpha will hurt then. But then there will be the times where someone just opts to engage in a dps race with it and dies horribly so it balances out. It just isn't a magical I win button in all circumstances but few things are.

Assuming you fire an average of 1 second later after being already reloaded (for whatever reason), the AX drops down to a paltry 2188 DPM, which is lower than the likes of the Tiger II, Lowe, Shark, and AMX 50 100. On the other hand, if the Caernarvon does the same, it still ends up with 2472 DPM, which is still higher than any heavy with higher alpha damage, barring the T26E5

Really? It's a heavy tank that doesn't sit there hulldown. It plays like a buff medium (which is because it is, unfortunately) that can take medium duels and farm damage from distracted enemies. It's a major thorn in the enemies' side if it gets to a well-vantaged position

To answer your question, yes, the Russian mediums are good. So are the German, japanese, and European mediums

You have reactive armour on the tank so yeah stay hulldown but if you need to rush something don’t be scared. Also practice using the Hesh cos it becomes a monster if you’re penning all your Hesh shells
