T62A upper plate sucks ofc and e50m is so big that its not versatile enough(not even telling that it cant f*in sidescrape)
121b gets superspeed boost and gets easily into position with a realiable gun. Also gets reactive although i dont use it. Also the armour is FAR better than a t62a.
E5 is a good choice but its not comparable to an m4 54. An M4 54 packs 2800 HP and a very reliable gun with good alpha and reload + tungsten shells. Kranvagn has no dpm, the driver is always dead if it gets counter pushed therefore its a horrible choice these days especially with TPs and M4 54s rolling around around with theur stupid module damage and HP

I'm enjoying the Czech heavy grind so far, granted only at tier 7 for the moment. But the tier 6 and 7 have been pleasant. Just generally solid. The gun depression just barely hits what I consider comfortable which is huge. The high tiers look cool too which is always a nice selling point.

For what it's worth, the US single shot heavy line was an incredibly enjoyable grind for me though I struggled in the E5 at 10 because of me issues (I like to be aggressive, T10 gameplay is more of a patience game than lower tiers imo), the Japanese heavy line was honestly quite enjoyable other than the tier 5 (which is so bad I sort of enjoyed it in a weird ironic way).

Mino seems to be divisive but my impression is it's distinctly okay. The line to it has some strong stuff though with the notable exception, I think, of the tier 9.

your gun is pretty much the best part about your tank, dont trust your armor too much, the turret cheeks can get penned by tier 9 and 10 tanks pretty easily, against tier 8 armor works pretty good tho

I wouldn't reccomend to grind Type 71 in the first place though. It's a pretty subpar tank that to top it all of is probably the most boring T10 tank in the entire game. I'd just leave it alone

Boring is ultimately pretty subjective

Like I'd say most TDs range from boring (fragile sniper TDs) to clunky (limited traverse assault guns) and that's fine as my opinion for myself but a lot of people enjoy those tanks in part because of the very things I find unpleasant. So, imo, calling something boring is kinda... not helpful. Particularly when a person didn't ask if a tank was a fun/good, they just asked for advice on playing a tank.

Boring in indeed subjective most of the time, but there are certain tanks that you can describe by calling them boring. These are tanks that don't exceed in anything. If a tank is slow, has long reload and average accuracy with armor that can't be relied on, it is just boring. It relies on some troll gimmicks in order to work instead of actual stats. That make is especially unpleasant to play for majority of players. Type 71 is a perfect example of that. It is very slow with subpar gun and armor that relies on enemy not knowing how to pen you/having less than 330 pen in order to work.

Ofc some people will still enjoy it, but it can still be described as boring.

T28 prototype I mostly skipped but T30 is one of my favorite tanks to play in the game it’s so fun and it’s only really bad trait low HP was just buffed

Also this applies to all tanks but use free XP wisely use it to instantly get upgrades so you’re not stock rather than get to the next tank sooner
Get upgrades then use the tank to grind while it’s good if you don’t have a lot of free XP

You can go to a hulldown pusition, shoot 2 shots dealing 900-1000 dmg in about 2 seconds, the gun is accurate, and it has a good amount of gun depression, while you can also use 2 active consumables, ( adrenaline and vertical stablizer) people will try to shoot your cupola but, what you do after u shoot is aim your gun up and boom, your cupola is gone they can’t shoot it

ahhh i see, my usual heavy playstyle is being in the thick of the action and sidescraping/hulldown, so my usual go-to heavies are e100, super bonkeror and 60tp so this tank's playstyle will be different for me
