Face hugging in Tornvagn is really good if you end up in a face to face situation with someone (hull down is the best for it do that if possible)

They can’t do anything do you in a face hug

Also the carbon black camo in realistic mode makes you look like you’ve been taken out if you’re not moving (ik there’s no smoke but it does look burnt)

A weird feature of realistic mode is no damage rng rolls you do the same amount every time (I think it’s the middle of what youre able to do)

The LT-432 is a lot of fun. You have kind of a wack armor profile with lots of autobounce angles everywhere, the mobility is very nice, the camo is really good (it’s worth it to run camo net instead of optics), and the gun is pretty punchy

I've got a question about tank designs. Has anyone ever seen a mantlet that has a multi-part design with a tongue and groove sliding system for a gun that only has partial rotation? You know for a tank like the HTC. To protect around the base of the gun

That way it's free to move left and right with a mantlet that covers that entire vulnerable area around the gun, without the mantlet hitting against the left or right side of the tank and preventing the gun from rotating all the way left or all the way right.

I was thinking if someone designed a higher tier version of the HTC, It could use a mantlet design like that so it could have higher level armor.

I think a tier 10 HTC would be freaking awesome but it would have to be a fictional design. It would however need a big armor buff to compete against other tanks in that tier like the Badger and JgPz E100. I think if it was designed right, it could really give the Type 71 a serious challenge and take it on head to head.

Now keep in mind I'm talking about partial gun rotation, NOT 🚫 The partial rotation of a turret like the T110E4

On the HTC, there is no turret, the gun just has more rotation.

Technically it's not really a traditional turret in the sense that other tanks have. It's a completely different design. But that actually leaves it open to attack on that rotating part. When it's rotated to the left, it exposes an area on the right. And when it's rotated to the right, it exposes an area to the left. If you shoot that area that's exposed, it does damage.

It's way too easy of a target to shoot and prevents the tank from being useful as a front line heavy. So it has to use corners constantly and not expose itself too long.

If someone could make a better higher tier version of it that fixes that problem, it could be a really useful frontline heavy destroyer. Like the Badger. I would love to see something like that.

Sometimes I look at block messages once in a great while, and that tank is available as a clan reward on the PC game. That uses a turret, I'm not talking about a turreted tank.

The only reason why I know that is because I follow a social media creator who happened to do a video on that tank.

5 minutes 34 seconds in, and you can see this tank has the same problems as the T28 HTC around the rotational part of the gun. This is why a tank like this needs to have some kind of tongue and groove multi-layered mantlet that slides over itself divided into multiple parts so the gun can freely move while also having some protection around that vulnerable area.

The trade-off for all that armor would be of course the fact that it does not have a turret and has to rely on other team members to make sure it doesn't get surrounded.

It would probably have to be rebalanced a few times to make a tank like what I'm talking about fit right into the game. Just like they did with the T28 HTC. They must have rebalanced that tank a dozen times.

I don‘t quite understand what you aim to do. The parts that get exposed when the T28 HTC looks to the left or right are all part of the gun shield/ mantle. I am unsure if I get you correctly but you seem to propose mounting a mantle with horizontal rotation onto a gun shield with horizontal rotation?

13 75s are a menace in realistic. The janky spotting means they can get pretty close before even rendering and you are already fighting it's small enough to sneak around and start unloading. And by the time you can respond it's probably too late and you would just be opening yourself up to whoever you are already fighting.

Chieftain is not bad or amazing but kind of in the middle. I'd say it's worth the purchase if it's a reasonable price. Just a solid tank.
It just feels good to play the tank. Solid mobility, 10 degrees of gun depression and a very accurate gun.
Drawbacks of the Chieftain come with it's penetration and lack of armour. Just like the FV215b, you treat it as a big medium. Do not rely on the armour at all. The hull is mostly worthless and whilst the turret has some armour, it's not totally reliable. Parts of the turret can be penetrated and the hatch on top of the turret is not a difficult shot to take

Again, this is a non issue on PC, I don't need advice lol. I know the gist. The issue is the control scheme on mobile and Switch doesn't lend itself to that for me. Like I'll attempt to do the same things I do fine on PC (hit and run, circling, etc) and it's just much harder on those controls. And thus since I play on those controls mostly, I'm less inclined to play mobility focused tanks these days.

I mainly play on Switch because I have a higher comfort level with controller for basically everything. So for me to say something works better on PC for me is kinda a huge statement. Can I get better at it than I currently am? Yes certainly, I don't claim to be as good as possible at it. But I do think it's never going to work as well for me on Switch, and it's definitely never going to come as naturally. But you are right in that I shouldn't give up on it just because it's a struggle, that would be lazy and accomplish nothing.

SMV has less mobility and limited traverse, but it can get an alpha of 400 on one of its top guns. It also has a smaller profile and thicker front armor, but not as much on the sides/rear

Ju To is where it begins to play somewhat like a Tiger I, but much heavier. Even if you get the stabilizer equipment instead of suspension, it still has decent mobility and hull traverse to rotate your frontal armor. The ~300 alpha max might not be favorable, but that’s standard for most heavies except for Soviet/Chinese ones

Idk I get bounces still. I tend to wiggle and move back and forth a lot which, let's face it, the average premium ammo spammer probably isn't good at accounting for.

Plus in a 1v1 if they spam premium and I don't I can get an edge in the dps race even before bounces are accounted for. Mind you I use premium if necessary, I just don't default to it, particularly on heavies (sometimes on mediums like the pershing it's tempting to just spam premium I admit)

Fv4005 is not rly good in sniping, intra clip is without consumable too long to get the whole clip out when people cross, without a detrack, you dont have any camo, armor, are bigger then some bushes even, in reality you probably burn your consumables on the first guy that crosses, miss the trackshot or just dont track because of rng and end up with maybe 410 or 820 damage, getting spotted and without consumables

the FV4005 is much better as 2nd line, which requires map knowledge and is always a risk and offers counterplay for the enemy, I think the FV4005 is veeery good when played correctly but its definitly not easy to make it work, unlike his HESH counterpart which offers 0 chance of reacting to anything, you even said it yourself "its up to you to find cover" well if you just got heshed by 1300+ then its far too late to find cover

First off, the chimera has weakspots, second off, vents do improve gun handling IF you have smooth ride and snapshot since it improves CREW SKILLS by 3%

Ok first off, you should read the minimap and see where the chimera would go to (a really good hulldown position.) 2nd off, it has really bad camo so you want ur lights to spot it. If it is hulldown. Ask a high caliber gun to load HE and splash it. If you do get punished, I would argue u have the ability to load all 4 shells into him and have an ally to push him out

The obj 274a is a relative decent alround medium, I think of it as a T44 2023 version. I bought it myself because the price was pretty good for a pretty new tank and I enjoyed the tank, nothing super special tho, its a alround good medium. Amx m4 mle for 4500 is illegal cheap tho

Rly hard question tbh since most TDs lack the turret or the gunhandling to be played like a med, since Im not rly a Camper myself either I can recommend either the britsh td FV4005 Line or frontline tanks such as Ho Ri E4 or e3, ho ri and e4 are more like second line tanks but defintly no Camper tanks

Just joking around my damage record is legit a game where i frontlined with a grille and dealt 8,5k lol,

The line itself its pretty hit and run if spotted, always being behind 2-3 teammates and run once one flank dies, etc

That checks out, it has the mobility to keep up with medium side and having a turret is preferable for that too imo. The 4005 and E4 lines are two of the only TD lines I find interesting enough to maybe play through eventually personally specifically because they seem suited to supporting medium and heavy flanks respectively while also having turrets which is a big deal for me personally.

Come to think of it they really should update some of the older tanks that were designed with preferential MM in mind to be +0/-1 MM only since everything is +1/-1 default now. Otherwise stuff like the M4A2E4, T14, etc are just kinda unusable. Or buff them like I think they did some of the higher tier ones (my memory could be wrong but I think the Superpershing used to have worse pen and I don't think the IS-6 originally had a second gun option)

yeah... I think... in settings in graphics it should have an option called Camouflage and with it disabled you get the stat benefit of the camo but without having to see them.... however it doesn't have a just for you option... it's disabled for all tanks you see
