For the most part, yes, Kryos is flat out OP, it has mor armor, more HP, and even more gun depression to make its armor that much stronger, while also having better traverse speed and reverse speed.

It’s objectively bad for winning, but it’s good for damage, and I do like the tank. It’s got a little bit of a learning curve to it though, since the rear mounted turret and weak armor make positioning a little awkward.

The accuracy, DPM, and excellent HESH do make it fairly popular with unicums. When put in a good position, it will absolutely melt through enemies

Hello all, I see in the shop Tier 7 M4/FL10 for 3,500 gold. I have exactly that amount saved up, no premium tanks at the moment. Is it worth it, or should I hoard more gold for Tier 8? Do stats earned in Hybrid nation tank progress all country specific missions - for example I have USA medium mission, will this tank progress it?

What do you mean "counter it" lmao, it's still a medium that has troll armor that's actually just outright immune to other mediums at times aside from premium ammo, reasonable mobility, and a 440 alpha gun with really good handling.

Oh and it has access to sandbag armor so it can have more HP than any other medium, 10 degrees of gun depression and access to reactivate armor and ret cal.

But oh yeah "people know how to counter it" even though its still the most statistically bloated tank in the game lol

Also there hasn't been a single tank that's been released at tier 8 aside from the 53TP that has even come close to power creeping the Chimera. Nothing.

I'm not saying she's bad. And it's actually a mistake to think of her as a medium tank. If you imagine her as a heavy, it all adds up. Without both slots for additional fuel she is slower than most heavs. Has armor and alpha the same as heavy. Good angles, but as I said, just don't shoot at mask. As for me, the gun is balanced enough. The sides are not as thick, I almost always send a HE into the side of the turret, even at a slight angle. 50tp and chimera just a bit better than most other tanks, but it's not something like you can't do anything when you meet them. If after all this time you have a problem with them, I don't even know

It's not about whether or not I have a problem with them. Trust me, at this point there isn't any tier 8 tank that's "problematic" for me.

And treating the Chimera like a heavy tank is how you troll your team by not annihilating the medium flank lmao.
The Chimera has the best effective DPM out of all tier 8 mediums because all it has to do is peek a single time and slap someone for 440 alpha while most other mediums have to fire two shells to get close to that damage while being exposed for longer.

I have 91 battles in the Chimera and a 79% winrate in it.
There is nothing "balanced" about that.

some t8s cant even pen chimera's turret, and not to mention when it is fighting t7's, even if they eat shells from the enemy team, those shells are just probably when they are flanking the chimera or either the chimera was looking at another direction instead of being aware of the situation, which basically is a bad player, a platoon of chimera has almost 0 threats to worry about and if its a -1 mm they have literally nothing to worry about,

if we consider that it has weakpoints on the turret, yeah it does but how many times do you fail a shot because either the chimera is kinda far away, it bounces because yes or either you have no time to aim because they're constantly moving to make their turret almost impossible to pen

Because getting in hull down is incredibly easy, the front of the chimeras turret is sitting at 203mm flat. Which means the only tier 8 medium that has a chance to pen the front of your turret are things like the Centurion's, other Chimeras, FCM 50T, the CDC (CDC gets HE'd to death lul) Raum Panzer, Titan 54d, Indien Panzer and Mutz, and finally the STA-1.

The Indien Panzer and STA are the only two tech tree tanks that are guaranteed to pen the cheeks of the Chimeras turret, everything else has to fire APCR.

Because most mediums aren't going gain enough pen to do anything different in most situations, the only times calibrated will do anything is if you're a medium that already sitting around 200mm of pen and you want to prepare for the odd chance of seeing a Chimera.

Like the Pershing for instance gains basically nothing from running calibrated, especially whenever it has such good APCR

But I mean hey, sacrifice 200+ DPM, the Tiger 2 and Chi-Se you're fighting will absolutely love having the same DPM as you, more armor, more pen, more alpha, and more HP.
