On the other hand, basically all of Germany's top tier tanks have some merit as to why you'd wanna play them.
E-100 line is probably the easiest line in the game to play, E-50M line is good until the tier 9, E-50 is just flat out a bad tank, and then the E-50M is one of the strongest medium tanks

Well it kind of is. Artillery is indirect fire, tanks like the SU-152 are assault guns, and tank destroyers are more so defensive weapons

Its why the isu 152 has incredible gun elevation in the game

It's main role was assault gun. It wasn't really used effectively as anything but an assault gun or an impromptu td when necessary

It was built as an SPG assault gun with like 100 meters of range which is pretty much field howitzer. It was succesful used as a td because of how fragile and tigers and panthers were. The gun inside the SU was used as a long-range artillery piece too, its quite comparable to say an M7 priest's gun

Generally the SU-152s weren't used as artillery pieces due to poor accuracy at range. While they could technically work, there were better vehicles for the job.

The Idea of the SU/ISU was to use the gun part of the Gun/Howitzer ML-20, using it more for direct fire opposed to indirect fire

unfortunately, incorrect. A 168 has much more use for the team than the yoh. 168 has a better armor profile, and can brawl better, and has a high hp pool. The low dpm balances it, but the 168 is well suited as a bulwark, unlike the lowe, which is an independent tank. The 168’s punchy gun also excels in holding the line. Indeed, the 168 has its flaws, but its really good at what its meant for, and so is the lowe, both tanks are great, but in different aspects

The contender must know where 168's weakspots are in a facehug, and will likely resort to prammo anyways, so some DPM is almost a requirement. It also depends on the contender's ability to time and snap the weakspots themselves

But brawling 1v1s is not how you make the most of it

There are only two weak spots on a 168 frontally during a facehug, one being the mg port and the other being the cupola, which is virtually inaccessible in a facehug. Prammo will help the contender pen the cheeks, which might be negated through angling, depending on the penetration.

EA makes no difference on the vast majority of tanks. Strong pieces of armor will still be strong (mantlets, upper plates) and weak pieces of armor will still be weak (lower plates, cupolas, sides/rear)

well unlike the 30 i have played the 50 quite a lot, it was my first t10, even. i do think it's not as bad as what it's made to be, but still

People just miss the old version because it was more brain dead to play. The current one feels like a more flexible fv4005 that isn't reliant on dumb super consumables, so I like it a lot

in tourns, focus fire and effective DPM are the meta, a T77 dumps, but then is useless for the next few seconds, more than enough time for it to get wiped

which means that technically, a well coordinated team of 7 tech tree Cearns will beat everyone since they have reactive armour (reduces damage) speed boost (now its like a medium) and it has good DPM already
