Alright since it seems I've been placed on slowmode permanently, and daring to express my opinion to a Mod will likely get me banned and this post deleted, I'll just say everything I've been wanting to right now:

I'll start with the important stuff first. I am very sorry for posting a video in the meme channel. I did not do it in negligence of the rules. Rather, I did so because I simply did not know such a rule existed. I did read the main list of rules for when you first join the server, but didn't think much about the pinned messages. On every other discord server, the rules usually state things such as "no gore" and "nothing too offensive". Never in a million years would I, nor anyone else, guessed that video based memes would be banned.
Secondly, I feel that being permanently being placed on slowmode is far in excess of a reasonable punishment for such a crime, especially for a first time offense. I had been on the server for only a few minutes, and really hadn't had time to understand the way of things around here. In my honest opinion, a better response would have been to warn me verbally, like some of the other server members kindly did. Moderators, in my experience, are supposed to be helpful members of the server community who's job is to uphold the rules in a respectable manner. The way you go about insulting, belittling, and excessively punishing people for breaking the rule you made seems far from this necessary. I will reiterate, I didn't post that video meme because I was trying to stick it to you or break the rules, I was simply trying to share one of my favorite blitz memes with the community, and that is what I suspect many people are doing.
Thirdly, If you want your rules to be followed, make them more easily accessible. Most people don't read the rules when they join a new server because for the most part they are usually the same. Since the rule of not posting video memes is such an abstract one, I feel it should be more readily available for people to see. Maybe put it in the description of the room
Fourthly and lastly, I am curious as to why exactly video memes are banned. Could you maybe provide me with some insight?
