It has the higher alpha and the capability to derp tanks at tier 6, 7, and sometimes even 8, but the 122mm has more penetrating power. It’s your call on whether you want to go for damage per shot, or if you want to trade that off for more penetration. If you want to mount the 122mm, use the top gun since that has more penetration than the second gun
