In this case, no. Because crates still have a minimum reward and a quite reliable expected outcome, making players able to actually gauge whether spending x amount of gold is worth or not and measure the risks they're taking. For the draw I mentionned, credit rewards wasn't a thing, the lowest reward of the first draws were still almost enough to completely refund the price of the draw which i guess is why it quickly disappeared after only 2 iterations

For almost every recent draw, there really isn't many rewards that are worth anything at all. Typically here, 3 tier 9 containers, the 3 HT containers and the CF4 are the only real rewards, maybe the camo at most. And the odds of getting them are so insulting, you pretty much have to max out the draw

You get 50 from the shop, then at least 25 from the two free crates, that means 175 spotlights left to get somewhere.
Each spotlight is 30 gold, and that comes to precisely 5250 gold
