Well of course gaming companies need to make money, they also need to feed their families. And I definitely prefer microtransactions over annoying ads. But there is a huge difference between a gaming company making a good game and adding some monetization features to it to make money, while not harming the quality of the game or their playerbase with them and when a gaming company is actively slowly killing their game to extract as much money as possible from the playerbase without zero care how the players feel about it. If the game is good and I see the devs care about it and about me, the player, I will gladly support them by occasionally buying something. If it is obvious that the devs clearly see the players just as dumb walking wallets and their game as just a funnel to their own wallet and nothing more, Im not paying them a cent. I used to spend like 10€ on average in the game before. The last 2 years I have spent maybe 20€ total. They chose greed over players

@bleak halo Well once reforged comes out classic blitz will die anyways. I very doubt they would keep the servers alive for more than like a few weeks before all the players can transition. Also if you look at steamcharts, the player counts have been steadily declining since 2022 and nowadays the game is on about the same level of active players as it was shortly before launch over 11 years ago

Yes, like 2-3 times a year a portion of players return temporarily. But that is usually because wg runs ad campaings and sends emails to them and hands out bonuses for logging in etc. These are not players passionate about the game, these are players coming back because of fomo and leaving as fast as they came

Man the most positive comment about reforged I have seen when they released the trailer was "its not as bad as I expected". The ratio of likes to dislikes was like 1:20 at one point. They turned off the comments pretty fast and pulled the trailer from youtube completely after a few days, because they were getting so much hate. Of course they changed something, they would be giga dumb if they didnt. But really the changes are pretty minor and most of what was revealed still stands. Backing off from stupid decisions because you get a backlash from basically everyone is not the same as actively listening to what the community wants

Whether there is truth behind it or not I’m not sure, but when UT1 dropped they restricted the ratings season to 2 months instead of 3, and then there were like 6 months of just 1-month-off-season slop. Something tells me they either thought 1.) we were just going to accept it with open arms, or 2.) they knew they screwed up big time and had to put all hands on deck to fix reforged… even if it means making a popular mode unplayable (at least for people who grind ratings for esport coin in gold rank+)

The performance is not stable with blitz anyways. I have 40-50 fps in the garage since they added the crappy market background with fireworks etc. Mind you this is a device that can easily run modern games on 1080p high settings over 60 fps... and a MOBILE GAME is lagging as hell IN THE LOBBY... Same issue iphone 13 and 14, it runs at like 40 fps in the garage

The one thing about reforged that was nice was moving to 64 bit instead of 32 bit, but still, crazy how a mobile game that had been optimized for windows devices for years is faulting regularly

It is harder to get the exact fps on an iphone, but what I get in the garage is definitely not 60 and for still a fairly modern and very capable phone, this is just laughable. In battle I get frequent fps drops or momentary freezes when I enter the sniper mode through a bush/tree, look at a burning tank or drive into water. I tried lowering the graphics settings, but it didnt work. I tried several devices, pc and mobile, asked a few friends and these issues are consistent in almost all cases. The only one who didnt have an issue was one of my friends on a macbook, which is pretty funny considering mac is probably the worst optimized system for gaming out there

That is a bit different. Reticle lag is when you turn your turret, immediately shoot and the shell goes in the direction where your turret was like a second before. That happens as well. Also a thing that happens to me literally almost every single battle, Im not even exaggerating, is that I shoot a low hp enemy roughly at the same time my teammate does, I can see my shell hitting the enemy first, the game even says "we got him" or something, but still the kill goes to my teammate, not to me. These are server desync issues. They can be mostly mitigated to a point where they almost dont happen like almost all big studio online games have it (even small indie studios tho), but same pattern, fixing this doesnt make money. But yeah, the reticle lag issue is similar to the click/shoot issue I was describing

The shooting issue is because the shell loading animation is executed client side, but the client checks with the server if your gun is loaded before you can shoot. So the client shell loading animation already finished, I click immediately as I see it, but the server still thinks the shell is not yet loaded for another fraction of a second, so even though I clicked, it doesnt shoot. Sometimes I click even before i see the shell is loaded in my client, but it still shoots with like 200-300 millisecond delay

I hope they fix these at least in reforged. If not it is basically a confirmation that reforged is just a worthless cash grab

True, that's why it's much better for beginners. The armor profile is better, you don't have to angle the turret like on the e100, nor the hull.

Unfortunately both games cannot exist at the same time and since wg already invested a lot into reforged, it is just a matter of time. Maybe blitz servers will be active for like a month or two after reforged comes out to give players time to transition, but then they will shut down forever and unless wg makes the code open source, which they will 10000% not do, because it wouldnt make them any money, it is the end of blitz

I’m biased. I HATED the HWK12 the whole time I grinded it, but when I finally researched the RHM I actually ended up loving that hwk12. It takes a vastly different playstyle. Like a SP1C but everyone can HE you for 500-1300 and you don’t have spall so you have to be smart. DPM goes crazy

But not a beginner focused tank if you haven’t played with the unarmored light tanks (non Russian lights, or British for their turrets)

2 things

1.) Reddit for WoTB or WoTPC? Because it is quite good on PC and blitz it’s only people who are dedicated enough to grind for it so good players playing it (I don’t have it here tho)
2.) it’s an irregular tank. Not so much your skill as in you aren’t good, but you aren’t used to this kind of tank. The tracks can absorb a lot of shots, and the upper/lower plates are big weak spots. Just have to take some time learning how to angle and use rubble/mounds to your advantage!
