I don't agree. I think both are very great and the clipper gun is very useful in teams, platoons, etc. I tested both single and clipper and I think they're both fine, but personally I'd prefer the clipper one.

If you're talking about the other maps, it's called a map rotation. They'll come back at one point, and some other maps will be disabled.

mirage is fine, but the medium side is utterly useless, which is something a lot of people can't understand, making the game often a steamroll if one team spreads into two and the other just yolo rushes the "heavy side" and kills the half.
It has the same symptom as Dynasty's Pearl, the map most often considered the worst current map. (Although to a lesser extent, because the heavy side can at least kinda support the dunes)

Because nostalgia bait. Too many people were begging for them to return, and they chose to bring them back temporarily.
Being old maps, they knew it had a risk of these maps looking worse than usual, being badly designed (malinovka ) and/or simply not having the popularity it intended, so instead of looking like they were indecisive by adding then removing them, they clarified that it was temporary from the get go.

To me this is a very valid choice.

Another way to keep the game fresh is the tier rebalances, changing up what's considered good and less good

This has nothing to do with ‘defending’ them. it’s quite common that queues are going to be long because everyone is playing the new tanks. Tier 5 is quite literally full of tds — the new tier 5 polish td. In every match there are almost 14 tds. You’re playing a heavy so it’ll be harder to match
