Best u can do is staying hull down position if in frontline behind heavys or stay in back like a usual TD playstlye

Go hulldown, play a little passive (2nd line for either light-med side or ht side depending on teams line up), never fire that last shell unless it is to kill the last tank or it's a loss anyway, be patient but never camp and always move with the team.

Gun depression is what you need. Just going hull down doesn't make any difference. Your turret can be penned by even medium tanks running cali on flatground. You need to use as much gun depression you can muster if you want to reliably bounce heavies or tds.

there is no other games like WoTB, all the other alternative games use a different armor system and just feel way too different

MWT for example uses a damage modifier system along with armor, some parts take more damage, some take less, War Thunder Mobile uses module and crew system, knock all the crews out or destroy the ammorack and you're done

though ngl if WG adds an in-game armor/module viewer to the game, it would be very handy
