tier 10's (and t9 TDs as well) are mean. they'll cut right through your turret if you let them, i would try to maximize my gun depression and not aim for too long. but yeah, play it like a hull-down heavy.

refined gun is straight up better for most tanks as well, even more so since the vert stab nerf and refined buff. (usually clippers benefit more from vert stab)

The reason I say crates are bad rewards for events is more from a game design perspective. You want every player to think they are a winner, even if they lose. You'll always have a dedicated group that will complete events no matter what (and I don't talk about them). With crates you have much less control over the outcome and these cheaper crates that show up usually have bad outcomes if the main reward isn't received (like sandbox crates that only give boosters if you don't get a tank). And since events only give a crate or two, most players walk away with basically nothing for their time invested.
