Hi friends!
Very soon we’ll all get our hands on Ultra Test 4!

As early as tomorrowtoday, a closed pre-test will begin, where we’ll check stability across a wide range of devices. After that, we’ll open access for everyone.
Today I’ll walk you through the most visible changes and show how it looks. Closer to UT4, we’ll dive into all the details and nuances.

Let’s start with our home—the Garage. As you can see, it has moved indoors, becoming more spacious and atmospheric. I especially love how the light reflections play across the surfaces, it looks really beautiful 😍

But it’s not just the environment that has changed, the UI has too. This was one of your main requests: to simplify interactions so elements are faster and easier to reach.

You can now click on equipment in the Garage and go straight to the loadout menu. This screen has also changed significantly.

The next change you mentioned quite often is module progression. In this version, we’ve separated equipment and introduced progression for credits (there are plenty of economy changes overall, we’ll discuss those separately).

We’ve added a new feature—tank Test Drive. You can find it on the screen of vehicles you don’t own yet.

We’ve also given the main profile and cosmetics screens some love.

As you may notice across many screens, we’ve started a systematic visual overhaul of the game. This affects the interface, but also the battles themselves. In this ultra test, you can see updated maps: Rockfield, Yamato Harbor, Molendijk, Dead Rail, and Alpenstadt.

Of course, we’ve also done a lot of work on the combat itself, but that’s something you really need to feel in action. For now, let's take a look at the updated screens.

Vintage tanks!
These little guys from Tiers I–III used to just sit idle. We’ve rebalanced them, placed them into a single Vintage Tier, and now you can take them out for a ride again. We tried to make them more interesting gameplay-wise and are really looking forward to your feedback!

And of course, this is far from all the changes — just the most visible ones. Under the hood, there’s a lot of work on tank balance and the economy, and we’ve put a huge effort into combat feel, controls, and all the little details that make Blitz what it is.

We will speak about all the changes very soon, and test them together.

The WoT Blitz Reforged Ultra Test 4 is finally @here!

Join the test to see how the build has evolved, try out the updated Blitz, and of course, earn rewards.

I see that you’re actively testing and have already started leaving feedback. Thank you so much! I’m carefully collecting everything and passing it on to the developers.

Today, I’d like to show you a few changes that are not only planned but are already being implemented right now. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to include them in UT4 in time.
However, we know these things are important to you (along with many others), so we want to share them now to let you know they are definitely on our radar.

Battle results Screen

As you’ve probably noticed, many screens were updated for this test. The next one in line is the Battle Results screen. We’ll update it to display your key battle stats (damage dealt, damage blocked, etc.) immediately after the battle.

Module Upgrade System Changes

We know that the ability to choose your own tank upgrade path is an important part of the game — and it was lost in previous test iterations. We plan to switch progression to a non-linear system, allowing you to decide which modules to unlock first. We will also bring back realistic names for tank modules.

Battle Feel Changes

Shots are at the heart of the gameplay, so we will continue refining them. We’re updating the visual effects of shell flight, impacts, and muzzle flashes to make damage feedback feel more precise. We’ll also further adjust ramming and movement behavior.

Vintage Tanks Experience

In this version, we’ve brought back all Vintage tanks. We want playing them to be engaging and collecting them to be convenient.

These are no longer “beginner tanks” that you level up and forget — they’re closer to a separate mode, as they are played and balanced only against each other.

So don’t forget to try Vintage tanks during this Ultra Test 4 and share your thoughts. Your feedback will help us continue refining them to ensure the gameplay feels truly great.

I’m here to remind you that the official part of UT4 ends on February 26. What does this mean?
We will take into account all battles played before that date in the tank giveaway. Rewards will be credited at the beginning of next week.

What’s next?

reforged_shield_blitz After the 26th, you can continue playing for a few more days if you’d like. However, there will be no rewards for that period.
reforged_shield_blitz You can also keep discussing and sharing feedback in the open channels.
reforged_shield_blitz After the servers are fully closed, we will gather all the information (automatically collected data, your bug reports, and feedback) and process it.

We’ll share more details about our future Reforged plans separately (of course, I’ll tag everyone 😊).

🇦 The name shown to other players in the game. Players can change their display name whenever they like for free.

❓ How do you keep players from impersonating others via the display name?

🇦 Thanks for bringing this up. We will explore possibilities how to improve display name feature.

❓ Why and what are sets for?

🇦 Sets is a new system which has gone through numerous iterations to become better. Core values of it in its current version are:

  1. Sets allow players to progress in any tank, including premium and collectable ones. Regardless of which tank they choose, they will continue to progress.
  2. A distinct visual and sometimes narrative presentation for a group of tanks
  3. Sets, as objects containing tanks, are a good foundation for us to further develop quests, events and seasonal systems, medals, achievements, and game modes more easily. An example of this is the token collector, which can be earned through progression within a set and exchanged for exciting rewards. Now, even if you've maxed out a set's levels but continue playing tanks from it, you'll still earn some progress.
  4. Progression in sets allows the player to gain access to premium and collectable tanks, regardless of whether they are currently available in the game store or not.

❓ What’s the logic behind combining tanks into sets right now?

🇦 Initially, the sets were designed to group tanks by similar playstyles, regardless of nation or tier. This helped ensure a more consistent progression without drastic changes to tank gameplay. However, we realized that grouping tanks solely based on their gameplay, without regard for the current tech trees, was flawed. We changed our approach; the sets are based primarily on tech trees. While some sets feature a mix of game-play, such as the French heavy tanks, the majority maintain game-play continuity.

❓ Will there be a option of selecting supremacy/encounter in random mode?

🇦 We have heard your feedback regarding it and that you want this feature back. We are currently discussing how we can implement this feature, we will keep you posted, stay tuned!

❓ Are there any reasons/logic behind why you can test drive some tanks but not others?

🇦 Some tanks are super rare in the game in general and we want to keep their status as tanks you rarely see in the game. Like the Phase 1, for example 😉

❓ Will all-chat come back?

🇦 We have definitely heard your calls to bring back global chat to the game. It is something that is under our consideration.

❓ Is removal of provisions a final decision? Combining it with equipment has taken away customization of play styles.

🇦 There are no plans to bring back provisions for the time being.

However, we are thinking about how we can change the equipment composition to make it more in line with the previous tank presets.

❓ Is there a reason to move sidebar to the top? It is much easier to reach the UI on the side in WoTB than on top in Reforged, especially on mobile.

🇦 We believe that moving the main interfaces to the top of the game from the sidebar will be a more convenient solution than storing all the important and less important items in a single hidden scrolling list. We don't currently plan to redesign this element of the game, but as you know, the game interface has changed several times over the years. Perhaps if we decide that the sidebar or another presentation is more suitable, we can change it.

❓ Is the profile screen final? Everything is so small and without color (winrate).

🇦 We will consider how to improve the user experience of this screen based on UT4 feedback. We have ideas for improving this screen, including allowing players to customize the settings they want to display, but these changes won't be included in the nearest updates. We'd like to focus on more critical issues.

❓ Where is my missing tank?

🇦 Not everything has been transferred to Reforged yet, but rest assured that all your items and tanks are saved and will be in your account on release.

❓ Will the tank birthday feature make a comeback in Reforged?

🇦 Maybe some time in the future.

❓ Why can I no longer use left click to drag?

🇦 At the moment, the left-click drag functionality is not supported due to technical limitations related to Unreal Engine 5. We understand that this change may feel unusual, especially if you’re used to the previous controls, and we truly appreciate your feedback.
