If Survivalist-turned-Undead is counted as Undead, then every Survivalist should quickly get destroyed to become Undead to win?
If destroyed Survivalist is still counted as Survivalist, then every Survivalist destroyed should be AFK or even block the Undeads to help the remaining Survivalists, right?

just like Big Boss, i strongly recommend only using tanks with high ammo capacity
at Tier 10, the T-22, AMX M4 54, Chieftain Mk 6, XM66F, FV4005, and VK 90.01 P all have a super high ammo capacity. VK 90 in particular has the most shells at Tier X (tied with a few others) and the longest reload of the ones with 90 shells

Game mode sucks in nearly every tank because you immediately run out of ammo if you're having a good survivor game

The win/loose system dosent really make sense... Practically everyone wins most of the time, Unless ofc the survivors capture the base. But most of the time the infected win which is practicaly everyone.
Maybe would make more sense if the 4 infected at the beginning manage to infect everyone, only those four win the game while all survivors loose. But if the survivors manage to cap the base, all survivors win and the four infected loose.

i'd like to see gradual health regeneration from the Survivalists somehow. whether it was constant throughout the match and accelerated as more and more Survivalists went down, or if it was vampire based and you healed based on the amount of damage you deal to the Undead
different classes for Survivalists could be really awesome. i'm a little concerned that that would go down the Big Boss approach and you'd end up getting players not fulfilling their role effectively. but it's not a bad idea at all. could be nice to see

Yeh nah this mode isn't balanced, most battles are very quick. it's fun though
The abilities do not need to be exactly like big boss. It could be like random buffs each survivor spawns with randomly. A few may spawn with the ability to heal other survivors, A few may get a boost to their mobility and maybe another ability gives extra hp but reduces mobility.
Some maps r ridiculous, should change base cap area for some of the maps such that it is not extreme for both side

Noticed a pattern in this mode. A lot of survivalists players that use fast tanks, leave the base and get infected, won most of mine this way.

Survivalist as Sheridan in LMS (Last Man Standing) and with just HE deals like.. a lotta damage, practically oneshotting everyone. I remember dealing 27k (being runner + being camper) with each shot dealing 1k+ damage yet had lost but rewarded me 400k+ creds lol

Yeah but in late game, when you can practically one shot the infected, wont that be kinda unbalanced. You would instantly regain all your health coz you deal 1k+ damage every shot.
At the same time though It wouldnt make a big difference coz you could still get rammed and killed instantly from max health to zero.
Then like... don't heal the damage you deal. Heal only a percetange of that. Or make it dynamic
Also noticed you dont have quick commands like "Attack" "Affirmative" "Negative" and also the markers.
Not necessarily, been in some situations where I got rammed for half my hp or less, since then didn't have enough momentum

Number of shells somehow. As a survivor if you run out of shell, you become useless.
Maybe add classes, each survivor spawns with a random class.
Change base locations on some maps.
If see the clip it almost happened to me at the worse moment

if you can find some cover it helps, then your DPM goes up as the game progresses. Smaller, lighter, faster shooting tanks FTW. The big tanks I've taken in are just plain painful to me on both sides

I've rammed a few survivors from spawning right in base

2: instantly being mauled
SOOO coaching team to constantly keep moving and not just camp base seems to help. Reminding them Zombies go too fast and cant turn. I just survived 2 in a row in Leo 1. Now that I'm suriving it's more fun...
the chat in the mode is still broken on my end so I and many people still can't chat
not even quick commands work so it's 80% of the time dead silence in chat
interesting, my chat works fine but it's only Global chat. I'm on PC though and have to press G
I think the issue is affecting other people still aswell from what I'm seeing in the server
i really like the infected mode but the problem is that we cannot play in PLATOON and its really sad because i wanted to play with my brother.
only issue I got with infected is simply just, not enough ammo. if the ammo cap was raised even alittle it'd help especially during last man standing where you NEED to spam fire
Hmm had a few games so far, if we had some commands to attack a tank, attack or chat anything just to spice up the mode a bit, it gets a tad boring after a few games tbh, I've won all of mine too all infected. No challenge. I suppose if you're in a strong heavy you could create a personal challenge for yourself as a survival, to stand right till the end, but you'd end up just losing, if you have gold boosters or missions to complete then it's no good. Thanks for the new mode though

Honestly the spawn in cap nonsense does need to be removed very unenjoyable when someone can literally get a free kill with 0 effort as your helpless

The first 5-10 games in this mode are fun. After it's boring as you always win except if you're the last "not infected". I played 20-30 games, all won. Just be infected in the beginning of the game and it's 100 % win. So too simple and boring. Mode designed just for kids and yolo players.
"Survivors" team has no chance to win as it's too disproportionate between survivors and undeads.

It seems that survivalists have a better chance in a place with not a lot of open space. Just lost a game as an undead in Ghost Factory because the base was in the factory and the survivalists managed to hold us off. Not a lot of space to maneuver at high speed.
That is Myan Ruins a easier map to win as survivalist plus got 3 great dps tanks to use the damage buff otherwise maps like Canal, Lagoon en probably a few others are bias to infected since can spam jump and you cant do much as they get a free kill most of the time
For Lagoon either the beach or heavy side ruins be a better cap point easier to defend Canal kinda unbalanced as a map in general for this mode
Lagoon is so insanely unbalanced towards the Undead, its not even funny
look, as unbalanced as the mode is, i do appreciate that its basically the easiest way to farm wins that there ever has been in this game
because the Undead win 90% of the time and 13 out of 14 players win as Undead, most people should be averaging at least a 80% winrate
i've played 11 games so far and i've won all of them, including 2 back to back matches as Survivalist (Ghost Factory and Castilla accordingly)
i definitely think WG should rebalance the mode to give the Survivalists a greater chance at winning, but overall I'm pleased with the technical aspects of the match and that it's by far the easiest way to farm wins that this game has ever seen
on Ghost Factory, there's only 6 entrances. most people only use 2 of them, and they're the two that you can shoot tanks while inside the cap as they are approaching. there's also some cover around the edges of the cap, so i was using that

anybody else got this? when in aiming mode on the undead hertbreaker iand it is killed if get stuck in the aimmode and you see a black plate in your aimside. Only zoomin/out can get you out of this.

Cool way to play this if you're a survivor, want some damage and a win, defend base as long as you can if the game starts to swing heavily towards infected towards the end, say 3 of you left, leave base and yolo.

Castilla is unfair for the infected. Survivors have a big advantage as there are only two main entrances to the base area.
Also feel like copper field is unfair for survivors. Undead can just jump onto the base from the cliff and survivors can do almost nothing to stop them from jumping down.
Winter Malinovka also has so many different sides from which you can get rammed. Base is quite open.
Zoom out / leave sniper mode
Yeah fr, Castilla is literally impossible because survivors are camping on the edges of the wall or in the top of some cliffs, Ancient Land is almost impossible with wall protecting from everywhere. I agree for Copper field being painful for survivors. I never played with this mode on Malinovka yet (even after 30 games)

Is it possible for some kind of building mechanic to be added into this game mode? Like prop placement with set amount of hp: cars, crates, etc that would disappear after being destroyed

Thats a temporary fix though. The game mode is quite glitchy. When the infected respawn, their icon shows on the map before they spawn. Also sometimes when you spawn, your tank randomly rotates.
That's just the characteristic of being undead. You go underground, rise up and then continue like nothing happened

Not a glitch, some time the undead will get special effects at random in battle one extra health, other is in spawning the camp circle.

bring back Team Chat in Infected Front, having nothing but Global Chat removes the Survivalists ability to communicate effectively
for example, the 183 is the most important tank as a survivalist, due to it being able to one shot the Undead lights and mediums, but if i try to tell my team to protect the Survivalist 183 the Undead will see that as well, which makes talking to my team useless. The problem is, Infected Front is COMPLETELY team oriented
Electrofiy, on EU we can't even chat at all in the infected front game mode. I can't even use quick commands
AFAIK, global chat is just flat out disabled on EU. I don't really understand why, because WG have the ability to chat ban people who are abusing the chat system
Currently, my feedback on the infected front game mode is that it needs work. Some maps are very unbalanced, and the game mode overall feels very frustrating for anyone spawning as an infected.
The survivalists can sit in corners, some of which are virtually impossible for the infected to reach without being instantly killed. The only way to reach them is to A: use blinding speed, or B: attack as one group. The current physics engine just makes you slide if you try to turn when driving at a high speed, so that strategy out the window. Still to this day, I don't understand why the tanks in blitz slide on soft and medium terrain. Irl, tracks would be more likely to dig in and possibly flip the tank over than slide on soft and medium terrain. With hard terrain, depending on track type, it is reasonable for tanks to slide.
That leaves option B, which isn't really possible on EU at all, as we have no way of communicating with our allies to attack as one group. No quick commands, no chat at all. This really should have been thought through before pushing out the game mode. It feels half baked in my opinion.
There are also bugs such as dead tanks ram killing survivalists if they have remaining momentum and contact the survivalist after their tank is destroyed. This has happened to me twice now. I suspect this is likely to be a limitation with the servers, and as such is likely not possible to fix. But it's still something I thought should be brought up.
I also feel that there should be the ability for survivalists to heal under certain conditions, and that infected should have some sort of ability to aid them whilst there are a lower number of infected.
For the infected, an ability that diminishes as the number of infected increases could be worth looking into. For example, slow down from survivalist shots could be reduced whilst there is a low number of infected and slowly increase as more infected are created
I should add here, this is obviously my opinion. People may agree, and people may disagree. This is purely my views from my time playing the new game mode.

Sliding is a problem for some tanks, i had to remove fuel and speed boosts so i can control turns. And some slide even then.
Sliding is a problem with the DAVA engine in general. I severely hope that the switch to unreal engine fixes this issue. It's extremely frustrating. On gravitizing, I can understand the sliding. Tracks won't be biting into the ground, they can feasibly slide. But in a mode such as infected front, uprising, mad games, etc. Tanks should not slide on soft or medium terrain. They should only slide on hard terrain such as paved roads, cobblestones, etc. Tracked vehicles bite into soft ground. If they are going sideways, those tracks are going to dig in. They aren't going to slide over the top. They might slide a little bit whilst they're going over the top layer, but it will act like a shovel and dig itself further in until either the track breaks or the tank stops / flips up
this is why I say ammunition needs to be increased for survivalists
I ran out of ammo and could not continue fighting as a result. If I had more ammo, I could have continued fighting. There is a possibility that I could have won. If the infected have infinite respawns, how are we supposed to counter that with limited ammo? There is no way you can say "Select your targets carefully". The enemy respawns indefinitely.

I had a dumb idea and use double speed boost on the Soviet pancake.
Middleberg and oasis is where I just yoloed full speed and killed someone under 15 sec. In the Soviet pancake.

The chat is kinda bugged. If I type something, It sometimes appears in red. The chat colours are messed up (green/red).
Also why are quick commands removed, thats just dumb.
I did that once, some tried to get me but I was at the top and spotted them and shot them down and went back to hitting them from above.

yeah, and since the only chat available on NA is global chat, it's completely impossible to communicate with your team effectively as a Survivalist, cause the Undead will see what you say and prevent it from happening
to add onto my post from yesterday, I really do not think that heavy tanks should be able to spawn on the 4 initial infected. If they die as a survivalist, sure. Make them infected. But 2 heavy tanks spawning as the starting infected? It makes it 100% impossible to win for the infected team, beacause the heavy tanks are too slow to get any survivalists before they are killed
I have never seen a more lame and useless "fun" mode like this in ANY game i have played over the 40 years i am playing pc games.

You need absolute zero skill or brains to play this mode. You only have to be able to press W and sometimes click the button.

Homie. The mode is a bit of fun. It's not meant to be competitive. There are issues, it's unbalanced, and it's a bit repetitive. But these things can be improved over time. Criticism is supposed to be constructive. Throwing insults around and saying people "should be fired" is not constructive criticism.

In WOTB. There is a 4 notice in store indicator, Has remained for 3 days. In containers this 4 remains for the 3 days.
Love the mode for Halloween. Not sure what I’d suggest to make it better except to make it a little more balanced. Should still be about 50/50 to keep it competitive. Some are using mode to use up stored up gold boosters to get 20 gold per battle by throwing the battle to the Infected side.

This game mode gonna inadvertently produce some of the most situationally aware players by the end of it. It's amazing how quickly players have adapted, its no longer steamrolls of one side over the other (except on castilla and copperfield)

Facts, I have been playing a few games and are noticing how the last players left and me are able to watch one side and holed the undead to win the games.
Cant tell ya how many times tell people to literally watch 1 side yet they all act like the seagulls in Finding Nemo when a enemy shows up and says I'm getting a shot and leaving the rear open for a easy kill on someone

Carro is a hidden gem in this mode, has lots of ammo
You need to fix low credits and experience we get when we die and win as zombie. 12000 credits and 400 exp with premium in carro for 2-3k dmg is terrible. Doesnt even cover consumable cost...

allow a special ability for undead to become invisible for maybe 5s. some maps are simply too easy for survivalist to win as long as they find a corner that has 2 sides blocked and the corner is too tight for sharp turns due to the speed of the undead.

allow healing for survivalists. the amt healed can be a percentage of the tank's alpha dmg, and this percentage can be dynamic to account for the increase in their alpha and reload speed as more survivalists die
At least with healing some people can be more useful besides lookin down only 1 side of the map mostly helps heavies survive a sudden cap spawn ram or a ally already low en could survived a botched ram

To me feels more like the internet for that moment of time is down for the moment so wouldn't do it again when is cleared up

SOmetimes when I spawn as an infected I"ll just get spun in a random direction, forcing me to turn around and waste the increased acceleration time to get going the right way
oh yeah sometimes it spawns you in the ground n stuff

Another thing I've noticed: In some tanks, mostly heavies it seems, once the acceleration bonus wears off you lose almost all of your speed as if the game thinks you're still in a normal mode and your tank isn't supposed ot have increased speed
Heavies are just harder to play in this mode. Pick a light tank or medium, maybe switch equipment to double speed boost 😅

I haven't seen anyone talking about tanks having more hp instead of less and it's never happened to me, and it's also really annoying...

also I do like this mode, the only problems are:
- it's very buggy
- rewards per battle are bad, you get positive credits only if u do really well or use boosters (and even then u often lose credits)
- it's fun but unbalanced, based on ur map and tank u might be doomed from the start of the battle
- people often throw just to use gold boosters (I do use gold boosters in this mode but I don't just throw to get a few gold)
Most of these problems could probably be solved through fixing bugs and tweaking where the base is and tank spawn points.
And ofc also tweaking battle rewards, they are somehow worse than regular battle rewards in most cases.
(smth can probably be done with players throwing to get gold, but idk)

Undead's tracks should be unbreakable against terrain impacts
the slow survivors inflict on the undead should have a very short duration early game, and as survivors die it's duration scales. (early game it should basically be a momentum breaker, and then the undead can speed up again)
drifting in a tank is fun... to an extent. undead need something to help reduce the sliding and give more control.
as a bonus, tanks with less than 60 ammo should get their ammo count set to at least 60 for this gamemode. (this includes multi shot tanks like the FVE, 400/10 is only 40.)
Imma have to go with the "trust me bro" on this one because I don't have too many hellcat games/moments recorded from back then. I've shared this one often but we unfortunately can't see my speed in it.
Is this something that only happened with Hellcat or could other super fast tanks (like the AMX 13 family, Dracula, and Ru 251) go that fast

pretty sure only hellcat since the others didn't have a speed boost. Hellcat was the only thing light enough to go so fast. 263 was probably a close second

If you keep spawning in base (dying alot) your HP seems to double. Ive seen a Vickers Light with more HP than maus

The NA servers were glitching outrageously last night. Weird stuff kept happening over and over.
If you spawn as undead on castilla, might as well go afk. Most maps do favor undead , but when you get 2 slow heavies or td as your starting 4 tanks, it will be hard to infect anyonee on maps where you need to climb hills.
AFK is big problem in blitz in general, every fun mode match has 2-4 afk players recently.

Infected mode should have a shrunken cap circle, to force survivors into the open rather than hog a corner that the circle covers, at least on maps like ghost factory, castilla and mayan ruins
Also, the boss infected that spawns in the cap circle to force some infections, needs to have increased damage resistance and not be affected by the slowed on shot effect, only because of how toxic it is on Castilla

I've been undead more than survivor the last couple days now and every game is a loss of credits or like less than 10k. regardless of how much I do.

I know first hand that gaining credits as an undead is not going to be very profitable ... but I have yet to lose credits.

I’m finding battles a bit more balanced, in general, now that players are getting the hang of it. The map is the major factor now in who wins. I suggest only using maps that are shown to be reasonably balanced. That will reduce frustration levels and AFKs since many players just give up when it’s a map they know they will lose on.
Really Canal and Lagoon worse in bein unbalanced since people can just jump off of ledges to take 1 at a time
Infected Front is the absolute worst game mode. Completely unbalanced maps, XP is a total joke where you can make more XP in a win in Rating with only one shot of damage than thousands of damage and kills in IF, beginning as Infected game after game after game and barely being survivor once to the point of total saturation. Barely any strategy, just camping on one spot all game or die thirty times without making anything significant and the list goes on. Really wish this mode is scraped after this total failure. How can this be compared to Big Boss. Uprising, Gravitizing, Realistic, Burning Games and the rest?
Yeh had a few more and it gets boring, starting as infected is the worst, find I'm losing a lot of games now.
I lost a match on Castilla as a survivor cuz 5 out the 10 survivors on our team made a beeline for the church hill. Then a boss zombie spawned in the middle of the base and killed me. It's a testament to how bad Campstilla is that even in a fun mode it SUCKS.
And I lost a match on Yukon as an infected cuz 2 out of the 4 infected were afk

I must admit, when I'm on castilla and similar maps, as infected I play a bit and when you see it's an obvious loss, I just go afk, I know it's wrong but no one cares it just seems pointless a lot of the time.
There's also no comradey amongst players as you're always switching sides and no commands etc. Very few people give reactions at the end of battle.
I appreciate the mode it has potential, they need to work on balancing maps add some special commands or something.

It's because by default, global chat isn't bound to any key
Since only global chat works in this mode, you can't use the other chat keybinds then switch to global
If you bind a key to general chat, you're able to use global chat in Infected

Not at the start I try, but you just yolo most the time with minimal results, like 5 or 6 infected at 80 percent, happens a lot and more 90 percent loss. Ye know, the only time you win at those op maps is if survilists are poor players.
Castilla is terrible, but Molendijk is the worst. If we can convert even one survivor into a zombie at Molendijk, I consider that a win.

WG needs to remove Castilla from the Infected Front rotation. Period. I am seriously considering closing the game when I spawn as zombie at Castilla. That's not me by any means, but it is ridiculous. That map has many gates to ram the center, u have to think outside the box and u can ram pretty good there. Well, u still need a decent team to help u pushing so I say it's 50/50. A good challenge for both teams. I like it n.n

I really enjoyed the "Infected" mode — I love ramming, and I had a great time being able to ram continuously and often one after the other.
Please don’t blame me for saying this 😄 — it's just my personal opinion that I liked it (though it's true there were one or two maps where it was a bit tough).

- Some maps were a challenge for one side or the other, but Castilla needs to not be in the Infected Front rotation
- We need to be able to platoon - my buddy and I counted in every battle. A mix of both zombie, both survivor, or opposite teams. It doesn't matter if we're on the same side or not, we just want to play together. Playing by yourself just isn't as fun as playing with a friend.

Give infected stronger tracks, and higher terrain resistance so people don't drift out as easily or get tracked from minor falls
Change it so that bounces/no pens don't do a 100% speed loss, it should do a little bit but of a speed loss but not the amount that a penetrating shot does

It was fun playing as survivor later into the match, when you could blow away zombie after zombie without aiming. Most of the team's gone and your reload is near instant. Satisfaction, especially when your tank has an awful reload speed. You just have to make sure you aren't the last to die as by that point, survivors have no chance to win.
Or they could change the capture point on castilla more towards heavy side maybe.

Overall, it is a pretty unbalanced game mode, the only way to get xp from it was winning and doing a lot of damage as your role, and if you changed roles you immediately lose over half the xp you would normally get. Some maps were so unfun as infected, and some were boring as survivors. We need more maps like Lagoon, which was fun for multiple sides. Some maps like Castilla and new bay could have the survivors camping for minutes on end until they run out of ammo or get shot, and some maps like middleburg could literally end in 54 seconds. Sure, this game mode was fun, but it had a lot of downsides that need to be fixed. One of the best things about the mode was that you could get a bunch of gold with gold boosters, winning most of the time, but if you become infected on one of the maps I mentioned, you might as we’ll cry. I did like the fact that infected bosses could spawn in the base (unpopular opinion I know) but sometimes they just didn’t lose speed even when they were shot which is just stupid. What was even more annoying was the bug where you just got spun around off of spawn.

I know I had a really really good Survivor Win on Oasis Palms lastnight, but I didn't favorite it and played legit over 150 I.F. Matches yesterday so I don't have the Replay or any Screenshots.
And yea, I do like the Spooky Versions of the Maps. Tho Horrorstadt is insanely dark&thus more difficult to navigate

Oooohhhh here's a thought:
A mode where the survivors are basically doing Uprising and the Zombies BigBoss, both sides with unlimited lives. No Bases to capture, no "get X amount of kills/damage to win". Just a raw 9 minute contest.
Events where it's like one Team is playing one Mode and the other Team a different mode, or each player gets the benefits&downsides of a random Special Mode.
That'd be so gloriously chaotic

Bouncing shells shouldn’t slow down an undead. Damaging or critical hit can slow down the undead but also while bouncing shells sounds a little unfair and could add more challenge for the undead to angle and the survivors to have better aim than just shoot randomly
A Mad Games/Big Boss vs Uprising could be fun
It should depend on the caliber of the Shells. Shots that hit at a 90° angle should slow more than ones that hit the tank at a different angle. Penetrations should slow more than nonpens. Infected Tanks should have crew that are easier to damage/kill but will automatically heal like 10-20s after the damage was dealt.
A mechanic that could be interesting would be something like the survivors having a finite amount of consumable uses and being able to use them whenever they want, to reflect that they're a bunch of people pooling their resources to survive better. Having the Survivors each get 1 or 2 random abilities from othsr Modes, like Heal Pulse&Poison Shot from BigBoss, Armor Regenerator&Damage Reflector&Irradiator from Madgames would be super neat, obviously some abilities would be way way too strong like the Gravity Wells and Blast Waves from BigBoss
Ofc, stuff like this would probably be ridiculously hard to get functional without causing tons of super disruptive glitches&bugs&other errors

We don't have a petition function here, but Wargaming does do surveys #surveys message and monitors player's reactions in these channels.
Some of the surveys are by regions, so visit the Channels and Roles channel (top of the list) to give yourself a region role (NA, EU, APAC). Once you do that an additional channel wil be available to you.

Step 1, spawn, step 2 become infected… step 3 wait for the gold. Its a gamemode the playerbase can easily get their head around because the tactic is drive and ram, or camp and sit.
But something better would be an excellent idea.

for me, i like this approach because the fun modes are supposed to be pretty unserious. all sorts of goofy mechanics or abilities to make gameplay very crazy compared to the grounded, regular 7v7
on one hand, i like that Undead win 95% or more of the matches, because it means I can finally start using my gold boosters efficiently. on the other hand, it really makes me avoid playing anything but light tanks. playing tanks with slow turret and track traverse is the #1 reason you can't survive as a Survivalist. the reload becomes shorter as you survive so that you can put down Undead faster, but your traverse speed doesn't increase. so you can't turn to shoot all of the enemies despite you having the reaction speed to handle it
because of that, even when you play a light tank, trying to play as a Survivalist is a lost cause most of the time. you may as well yolo suicide into an Undead right off the bat unless you get Castilla, New Bay, Ghost Factory, or Mayan Ruins. Those are the only maps you can consistently win on as Undead, especially Castilla. Sometimes Canal as well.
My thoughts on balancing the mode would be to grant Survivalists a temporary traverse boost whenever they deal damage to an enemy. This means as long as you can shoot the first target, the next targets will be easier to keep up with. Another idea would be to grant a slow HP regen to tanks that are capping the base instead of hiding in a corner. Survivalists in the corner are actually helpful to protect someone in cap, but being in cap is generally more dangerous. HP regen wouldn't help against a well placed, 1 shot ram attack, but would mitigate the chip damage that's accumulated and also make shooting out the capper a worse tactic for Undead
I think survivalists outside the circle might benefit from a speed boost, but inside reload and regen so they could chase done the infected, and the infected would be better with better traction. The modes not popular as it is though, not full. Of players like gravity or boss
its definitely not a good idea for Survivalists to roam the map
there's no need to chase the Undead, their goal is to take out the Survivalists that are capping. they're always going to come to the cap
the only good use for Survivalists that aren't on cap is placing themselves in corners that are hard to reach for Undead, but are close enough to the cap that they can shoot Undead that are trying to enter the cap
I’ve been trying this mode for the last 8 hours and I’m not sure how I feel about it
On one hand it’s kind of fun you get decent damage if on the survivor team but on the other hand it kind of infuriating when your on the zombie team because all you can do is ram people in tanks that are incredibly difficult to control
Plus when I lose I always lose credits
And not to mention that when you’re on the survivor team and you get destroyed and put on the zombie team if the zombie team wins technically you don’t win just based off the rewards and xp from what I can tell plus you won’t get those acorn things that you receive from winning matches
There are a few minor issues with the mode that still haven’t been sorted, which I find quite frustrating.
Number 1, when respawning as an undead with certain tanks, O-47 being a main culprit, a lot of the time you end up spinning 180 degrees when you respawn, which costs you a bunch of your increased engine power time just turning back towards the survivalists.
Number 2 is the fact that, as a survivor, you can be absolutely nuked by an undead sometimes, simply because the slowdown effect doesn’t apply to them after being shot. This actually made me rage quit the game after the match ended last night.
I shot a leopard 1 and dealt 344 damage, was at a 90 degree angle to him so I could easily dodge him with the slowdown. Except he didn’t get the slowdown. He continued at top speed for at least 4 seconds, so I had no way to avoid him and got destroyed. That’s not a “skill issue” on my part, that’s a bug with the game mode that is extremely frustrating.
Number 3 is that certain unskilled undead players decide to sit at the back and snipe, instead of ramming humans. They tend to finish the battle with sub 1500 damage by doing this. I don’t really understand why they do this, I can only assume they don’t understand what the mode is about and need a prompt to remind them that they are supposed to ram the survivalists to get more damage
Generally doesn’t cause too much of an issue, but it can be quite frustrating when it’s one or two of the spawning undead.
Can also cause significant annoyance when you’re in a light tank and you’re constantly being pounded by shell after shell doing 40 damage. That gets pretty dang infuriating

I feel like this gamemode could have been turned into like a chase mode when its down to one survivor. Like give a speed boost that way you actually can have a challenge to get him. Increase the grip on treads so instead of slipping as a survivor you have a bit more control. That way the infected have a decent challenge that's not to hard. Same premise as this mode. Just better imo instead of sit and wait

I find this mode the least fun out of everything that has come out in blitz in terms of modes. Lose, you get nothing, fair. Win and you also get almost nothing.
If the point of a game is not to get rewarded with being entertained and engaged, then that is a crappy game. In this case, crappy mode. Whoever enjoys this unbalanced, unrewarding and just-to-add-something-new mode must be really bored out of their mind with the game itself. I do not recall if anything changed in regards to the rewarding system but either way, it's horrible. And with this being said, I will leave behind this mode never to look back. Peace ✌🏼

enemy undead m103 respawned inside the rock so stopped cap and we could not shoot him, had to switch sides to win the game haha
this mode is quite nice to grind and farm gold boosters. especially now with the x4 from the event. you just switch to undead late if you cant win to farm as long as you can

Number one thing I dislike about the mode is the selfish play on several maps, with several players going to camp a corner ... farming everything;
and two that infecteds can't win by cap to counter a selfish player.
There is a spot on yamato where one guy was hiding, pretty much every shot was a kill
So all we could do was a big lemming train ... and try to fire a shot
Three or four of us sat in cap, and all the bar did was flash yellow.
corner campers can be useful if they're covering the cap. because they don't have to watch behind them, they can react faster to entry points where cappers would have to do a full turn to shoot there. but corner campers that are away from the camp ruin the mode for the Survivalists, that's for sure
Something else that’s annoying is the infected like to jus sit and shoot and when your in a tank with low health it can be very annoying

personally, i think it would be better if the cap ran up faster if multiple tanks were in there. maybe like, 2 cappers gives a 15% bonus, 3 cappers gives a 33% bonus, and 4 cappers gives a 50% bonus. any more than 4 wouldn't help
I mean, the "issue" with the mode is that the general design is incredibly boring. There's zero tactical play or anything because you're just trying to ram people, and the only part that is kind of skillfull (surviving as survivalist) just means you lose
It's also incredibly repetitive as the cap location on each map is always the same, and the spawn locations of the zombies bar a few that spawn in the cap are also always the same. Varying those would be a little better, for ex. using supremacy capsinstead of encounter
Being the last survivalist and camping out the games are like the only way to actually have fun in the mode right now. Because otherwise it's extremely repetitive and requires zero thinking
If they keep the mode boring, then I will simply continue to enjoy extending the game to 8 minutes and getting 74 kills
i disagree with that. this is pretty much the only gamemode available where the objective and win condition is different than pubs. that by itself doesn't make it less tactical. just because the Undead are trying to ram the Survivalists to death and the Survivalists have to hold a certain part of the map doesn't make it less tactical. i would argue the opposite, it's significantly more tactical than any other mode.
in pubs and other fun modes, you roam the map and kill enemies when you see them. in some modes, you have to be mindful about not pushing too deep into enemy spawn because of respawns, or you use that to your advantage to kill tanks as they leave spawn in some cases. for the most part, how you work with your team is irrelevant. there's almost no team play, because trying to coordinate people to do things is nearly impossible. you may be going to the same area as your teammates, but there's almost no coordination about when the team pushes together, HP sharing, staying put, getting spots, none of that. you have to play tournaments for any sort of organization. when you factor in abilities and respawns, even less teamwork is utilized.
in Infected Front, most of the map isn't used and you instead focus on all of the entry points to a certain part of the map. the coordination of the team is made much simpler because the objective is narrowed down. there's only 1 way for the Survivalists to win, and short of letting the time expire, the Undead have to prevent the cap from reaching 100 or they lose. the tactics for the Survivalists become clear: figure out how to cover all of the entry points in the most efficient way possible while still having some tanks sit on cap. for the Undead, the goal is to figure out how to breach the entry points and secure kills without being shot first
I wish WG had put more effort into making each map viable for either side to win, because I agree that the most "boring" part of the mode is that Undead are winning 95% of the time. maybe making some Supremacy caps be the cap instead of only Encounter ones could do it. but ultimately, I think the "real" solution would be to release 3-5 Infected Front maps that are custom made for the mode. obviously, that'd require a lot more work, and maps would be more repetitive. but it would probably be the only way to guarantee that each side has a roughly even chance of winning

this doesn't make any sense at all. going to a corner and pressing the fire button on enemies that will inevitably rush you endlessly after a few minutes of your teammates dying is more interesting, and requires more thinking, than actually playing the mode legit? how does that require any thinking at all? you can do that with 1 hand. i totally get it if you find the ramming part unenjoyable and repetitive, but there's no way you can convince me that corner camping until you run out of ammo takes more brain effort

last minute of this was the most intense gameplay i've had in Blitz in years, possibly ever
corner camping at least requires precise shooting. On maps where you cannot abuse the map to make yourself invincible, one miss means you die. I find fighting the horde more engaging than anything else you do
What would make the mode better would just be variety. I don't want to play rammer on the same map with the same cap, and most cap circles are either too open or too restricted which results in very clear-cut survivalist and zombie winning maps
Also, "coordination" being easier doesn't make the mode more interesting. 90% of the playerbase still struggle to react anyway
I see the lack of chat and any kind of comms system in this to be a detriment to teams as people in general have zero awareness per usual

Honestly a pretty bad gamemode, and needs several optimization and QOL to actually be a fun gamemode, specific maps are either overpowered for infected or survivors, track damage slows down to a crawl which imo shouldn't be the case, I understand a shell that pens slowing ya down but a track damage(not break) slowing you down to a crawl is annoying, as a zombie, if you play a tank a fairly light tank, jumping off small things(such on ghost factory) Can kill you, or break your track, not to mention your speed causes you to drift making it even more difficult to play as zombie, I've had small moments where ramming someone does very small damage, example, if I'm running a teir 10 WZ, and I ram into a mauschen and it only does 120 damage, at full speed, presuming a bug, happens often and is annoying, probably one of my least favorite gamemodes to play as zombie &/or survivor, survivor is annoying but tolerable

Worst part is just the maps being so one sided so often. The speed drop is IMO, needed, especially as more infected are going quicker. I think that if track crits didnt slow infected down, people would be more likely to rage at the game instead of how it is currently, seeing as how many track crits everybody already gets in regular games.
It still factors in a weight a bit is my guess as why you aren’t getting great rams against a Mauschen or other heavys. Speed still is the most important factor, as I’ve run the HWK 12 and gotten a lot of double kills of heavys, same with the E25
Is it a fair gamemode overall? Not really, the maps don’t allow for that. Is it supposed to always be fair? It’s a gamemode, not really, it’s meant to be fun more than anything. Mad games isn’t very fair, but is still fun even with that
I'm fine with a track damage shell slowing down the tank but it shouldn't be as punishing as getting hit normally, it should reduce your speed a little but not to a absolute crawl like you got penned, it means survivors aren't punished for not aiming properly, and if they go for a track, it needs to be a high enough caliber to break it in one shell
That part I do agree on, because it should slow you down a bit, but not as much as currently does, being the same as a normal shot that pens
And as for punishing survivors for not aiming properly, that’s just called being the last few left, you don’t have time to aim at that point, it’s just turn and fire

i was playing infected front and as an infected i died while using the sniper scope and when i respawned it was like this and it stayed like this for the rest of the match the tank is a T54E1

Idk, but i made million credit using that mode.
This mode has very interesting team assigning. I just bought the hwk 12 and done 12 battles and I spawned as an infected 10 of those 12 times. So my theory is, it looks who is performing the best as infected on average on that given tank (with others I seem to have more balanced spawn rates) and just assigns the player to that team.
If it’d be purely random, most of the times it would probably pick afks, or people who camp and shoot as infecteds, and WG wouldn’t want giving out free wins, xp and credits to survivalists for doing nothing, right?

That could be because your tank didn't balance well with the tanks other players have chosen. Whatever the reason, WG staff have recommended exiting the queue after 2 minutes and reentering. If that doesn't work try changing the tank or tier.
The balancing requirements are softened at 30 and at 60 seconds. I'll give it 90 seconds before trying again. The second try usually works for me.

I get joining issues only with the lights and meds, looking at how popular they are in the sidebar ive just found tds and hts to almost instantly join… seems a bit obvious of course but the mm would seeminly prefer me to not join in my mt and make someone else submit instead. But thats tin hat stuff and coincidental surely.
So being infected is just a 4 in 14 chance then (like 30%)? Those are some rare odds for 10 out of 12 games to be infected at start.

I’m a mechanic by profession, we have the foulest mouth of any blue collar worker. Swearing is our first language, irl or in game
tank corspes aren't supposed to kill, but it seems like there's a tiny delay, maybe 100 ms at most, between a tank having its HP fully depleted and it being registered as a corspe instead of a live tank. its happened to me before like you described, but there's also been times where i've seen dead corpses smash into tanks and deal 0 damage. if you're a survivalist, gotta shoot a tiny bit earlier

also, you mentioned you like to play tier 5, as if that's gonna have more experienced players than tier 10? doesn't make any sense
its fine to have gripes at the lack of skill present at the highest tier, its just not gonna be any better at lower tiers
my last match at tier 10 had a guy with 500 battles, one with 2700 battles, one with 8800 battles, and the other 11 players had more than 10k battles each. sure, its not perfect, but its better here than anywhere else. only 3 players had a winrate of under 50% as well, not even the same players as the ones under 10k battles
More old accounts playing their unique or removed tanks that should be brought back, and just messing around not caring about the true objective of the game
A persons we has no connection to their ability as a player and nobody has any right to have a tier 10 under 1k battles, we vets of this game worked hard and took forever to get to tier 10. New players shouldn’t have an easier time than us, they should have to suffer like we did

Theres swearing and then theres absolutely making someone feel worthless. I also swear alot. How its said and how soft the recipient is becomes crucial to what happens later… wrapping everyone up in wool has helped absolutely noone. Not long ago the FAFO ruled. And that system worked just fine lol

Does our tank have to catch fire and get tracked so easy as infected also, we cant turn and the spawn points are weird, the flag needs to move every minute

Not really a fan of this mode. I don’t get into the specs of this game like a lot of players do - shot rate, armor, etc. - I just play the game for fun. Cons: Infected is difficult to get into unless the tank selected is a med/light tier X; tank breaks when going over terrain or cliffs; the one shot slowing the tank is fine but the track breaking and spinning you out is an easy kill for the other team; regenerating with the zoom on is very buggy; if the tank makes it to the base, trying to ram someone is difficult at the very slow speed. Pros: it’s not Realistic, 10v10 or Skirmish which are not fun “fun modes”; one side gets tanks that go fast. Just how I see it. If it wasn’t for Gravity Force, I’d have deleted the game by now.
I think that WG needs to fix the various bugs in this gamemode before they bring it back again.
sometimes your tank gets spun in a random direction when spawning as infected, camera clips into the turret when scoped after you die
I also think that the infected should have more durable tracks, that way going over a bump doesn't just immediately nuke your track because you're going fast
