My initial thoughts are that anyone NOT using it will be at a disadvantage, so one must use it just to keep up. As in, if I could turn off highlighting now in Blitz I would like to, but the enemy using highlighting would have an advantage over me. So even though I would like to turn it off, I must keep highlighting turned on. It will be the same with Reforged and green. Anyway, I will keep an open mind about this, give it a try, and provide feedback after I have actually tried it in battle.

That’s a really fair point, and I totally get the concern about feeling like you have to use it to stay competitive. But I think that’s more about visibility than imbalance — like using better graphics settings or a bigger screen. The info has always been there, this just makes it easier to read in the moment.

I really respect that you’re keeping an open mind. I think once you try it, it might feel more like a clarity upgrade than a game-breaking advantage. And if it helps newer players feel more comfortable while still letting skilled players shine, that’s a win in my book.

Agree also, I would like to keep same armour highlight. Maybe tbh you can keep this as a low tier training tutorial for where to aim. Could even introduce it as some kind of special ability like adaptive concealment that only low tier tanks have and after you reach tier 6 it isn’t there anymore

Actually now people will be forced to learn the map positioning skill better so they don’t show so much green.if you’re worried you’re going to be penned easier then use cover better. Seeing the green on another tank should show you where you’re being exposed in the same tank if you own it and play it.
Think of this as a glass half full experience.

Less of being pennable, more on the satisfaction of penning, if that makes sense. I don't think players are afraid of losing, they're disappointed that every shot is accompanied by a visual aid they don't even need. Having options to remove it is an ok compromise ig, but I wonder how comp players think of it. If I were to add this to the game, I'd probably assign it to a suboptimal commander which activates it through adrenaline or smth

IMO the green highlighting is just a way of communicating information more clearly. the intention of a hitskin is to show what can/can't be penned, this new view just makes it more visible

the way i see it, if someone is going to complain about the new green hitskin & how it makes the game less skill based, they should be complaining about the existence of hitskins as a whole

Not sure if this is the right way to understand it, but if its purpose is to just shoot what isn't red, then the feature's simply defining the what isn't red, which I think we should have some control over like changing vibrancy/color or whatnot. It’s hard to judge from just seeing the video. I’m sure I won’t turn on the green and am glad I’ll have the option.
What it will really help with is lol the new players constantly using HE everywhere on an enemy tank and not understanding that they could do minimal to 0 damage. It’s frustrating to see a teammate waste shots because they don’t understand how to use HE effectively

Frankly, I've found the sets system to be over done. It's too complicated and I think the old tech tree worked fine, it's tried and true. The whole keys to unlock sets > to research > to purchase feels unnecessarily complex and removes something we enjoyed already. I also heavily disagree with being able to research a 10 with a tier 4. The old tech tree system was fine.

One of my biggest concerns with Reforge was that the gameplay was very clunky, unlike Blitz. Also, not having the shooting effects in low quality made it confusing whether you had fired or not.

Plus a FPS stability that was somewhere between horrible and unplayable even if you met the minimum requirements on android which was the specs of a Redmi Note 9 (Helio G85 and 3Gb RAM).

One of the greatest features of WoT Blitz is that it worked even on cell phones with somewhat limited features at a stable FPS rate.

This could be due to the fact that it had to run on an iPhone 6S.

Happy to see that the controls have been refined, will make sure of this in the test though.

Hopefully the new physics aren’t as over-exaggerated as they have been. Will need test to confirm.

If a tank flips, it should stay flipped based upon the physics, not be given a get out of jail free card. The physics upgrade Is supposed to add another layer of skill refinement which won’t be hard for people. Removing the consequences of these physics defeat the point of even implementing them at all.

“Another point of feedback was the colour scheme of the UI”*. It wasn’t just the colour scheme guys, the main part you guys missed was that the actual icon and UI element visuals look rubbish, not just the colours. The new font, texture and layout of icons HP bars, shell icons etc… are garbage to look at and use. Please reference your previous UI and HUD designs pre- the current UI in the live game, that looked much better than what’s planned here and always will. 2020 was a good era for the in-game HUD in regard to the reload indicator, HP bar and damaged module visuals too.

The PBR graphic reworks are still bad, if you take a look at the side-by sides you presented, the current live game looks graphically superior to reforged. And PBR doesn’t look good In the current client either, which really says something about how bad the reforged graphics still look atm. Side note: please get rid of that horrendous future train thing in Alpensdalt, it’s a massive eyesore.

The “default” option for the armour Penetration indicator is completely nonsensical, no one with a straight head looks at red on a tank and goes “let’s shoot that because that’s where I can penetrate” have just the “classic” and “combined” options because at least the combined one is still logical, even though it’s too bright and honestly unnecessary.

Why not determine player level based on researched tanks instead of purchased tanks? In the current blitz you earn medals for researching a full nation of tanks and even a medal to research all tanks from all nations. There isn't a medal for purchasing all the tanks inside of a nation. In my opinion player level should be determined using researched tanks.

Everything about reforged looks great so far, but I have a massive issue with the way it appears player statistics are being handled, and it honestly feels detrimental to why so many players even bother playing the game at all.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the current player statistics page. It's clean, intuitive, makes sense, and after 11+ years of playing Blitz, having the career (random battle) WR (win ratio) be displayed rather than the ranked one makes more sense. It seems a little unfair to suddenly remove this almost entirely. In my opinion, the main page should be random battle performance, and there should be a separate page purely for rating battle performance with the same UI, layout, etc. as what we CURRENTLY have. Changing it to be like this is a major kick in the face to any player who has taken pride in their statistics for a year to a decade.

Everything else looks great, but this change is the biggest issue I have with reforged.

from my experience in my old account grinding 10 tech trees at once was painful, it's best to focus on one or two, the game make you focus on grinding couple of them eventually, and the keys maybe more available than I think and you could probably grind more than line at the same time, not as free as it used to be, but I assume it's better way to make you focus on what's in your hand

It's a terrible way of doing it. Why should you lock players from choosing a line? Instead add a test drive functionality where you can drive around a tank in a tech tree to see if you like it. It would complement the tech tree well.

Just watched the video of Reforged Update Diaries: Complete Transfer System Explaine. All of my camouflages, Avatars, Profile Background and Attachments will stay with me in the Reforged Update which is good.
What about COLLECTABLE ITEMS and TANK CERTIFICATES I collected? Some of my collectable items is worth free XP and Gold such as Rating Expert Collectable Item 500 Gold, 8 Ball of Fortune 5000 Gold etc.

I have lots of tank certificates which I need to collect 100 parts of certificate to be able to combine into a certificate to get the tank.

Also Garage Gears and Reaction Packs and their quantities? For instance I have 2-3 and even more of the same Garage Gear, Profile Background and Reaction Pack.

Yep I had mentioned in the last tests feedback that there were some case where the game looked blurry and the video on graphics they released addressed that issue as well. I mean we will see how well it will look in practice but I am glad they didn't just stop improving graphics from the first test

I agree with everything except one major issue: the commanders and the compensation related to crew skills. Many valuable and helpful crew skills will be lost, and I’m not willing to spend gold or money on some new thing that i had better for free. If commanders are introduced, we’ll all have to start from scratch, and the proposed compensation for lost crew skills is simply unacceptable.

I’ve been playing for 11 years, and I don’t want to begin grinding new commanders or be forced to start over after getting just a few. Not everyone can afford to spend 100,000 or 200,000 gold on commanders for now more in the future. This is a critical concern.

Additionally, the loss of camouflage and the need for major balance adjustments due to the removal of crew skills make the situation worse. Long-time and dedicated players deserve to have all commanders fully upgraded. If not, this game risks losing its loyal player base—including me, after having spent thousands of dollars over the years.

@warm knot hey a wild idea came to my mind as i was doing some casual photoshoot with one of my remodels in the current blitz, with reforged, since the build is still not final, and replays arent implemented yet, i suggest to add cinematic options for the replays similar to games that have them ( mainly racing gaming like forza horizon / need for speed unbound )mainly also freecam, and a cinematic cam, also in the hangar, allow for the camera to take a fixed position at a specific times....etc all of these in a control panel that allows you to adjust ingame graphic settings

some of us like to make images and photos, add more ambient occlusion, make the floor reflective...etc, these are small aspects that make the game standout, and one aspect that makes wot pc a naturally photogenic game , regardless of the setting

When I played UT1, my crew XP is between level 5-7 (That's like 10 million + Crew XP dude) on all of them and i only got enough to get Dunken to level 18, like bro what?! I think win rates have been strongly advised against by somebody wg consults with and believes. The player base can't be trusted to respond unbiased when they currently hold win rate so dear. Discarding the central role of win rate is expected to move players of a competitive nature (who already have good win rates) to ranked battles where they can have fun among their own, Random battles will be one-off battles without cumulative effect, just for the fun of the moment, and hopefully keep newer and/or <50% players from quitting. It's worth a try.

In the latest video WG are removing premium time certificates. So all the certificates collected to provided premium time for when I do get time to play will be gone. In what warped brain is this remotely satisfactory. They say they will convert them into premium time... But premium time simply runs continuously even when you are unable to play the game.... Some of us can only play for an hour due to work /family other commitments and certificates are suitable for us. If I can only play for an hour and use a certificate that is great. To convert all to premium time then Wg is simply robbing me of 23/24ths of all my premium time I have spent collecting over the last 10years...highway robbery and should not even be contemplated by any dev with half a brain cell. How about the dev who proposed it to only be allowed home to family/friends for 1 hour a day - having to stay at work for 23hours unpaid... For the keys as well, we have seen how the first draw was done with help of grand surprise containers. They give some very good deal to get us hooked to it and then later increase the gambling odds, as we can see with 10+ customization containers in many draws and ridiculous chieftain proto draw
It's not fun either to play with how many good players have left already and the maps being the same for a while

I am a long-time fan of World of Tanks Blitz and World of Tanks pc I am actually quite open to the upcoming Reforged update. I can accept the improvement in graphics, and I understand that games need to keep up with the times. But what confuses and regrets me the most is that the mobile version has cancelled the traditional technology tree system.

In the old version, the upgrade and research and development route of each tank is a clear growth trajectory. Working hard from level one to level ten is a tough process, but it is also very fulfilling. For me, the technology tree is not just an upgrade mechanism, but also the soul of the game.

Although the new system's visuals and content are very close to the original style, the overall feeling has changed. Tanks are split into combination packs, modules, commanders... For old players, not only are they not used to it, but they also lose the previous feeling of "taking one step at a time".

I am not against updates, I just hope that future versions can consider retaining the option of the classic technology tree, even if it is just a dungeon mode, so that players like me who are accustomed to the old system can still find the original fun.

But let’s be honest: just because we suffered through confusing grinds doesn’t mean new players should have to. That’s exactly why Sets are a good thing though: they don’t throw new players into complex Tier VII+ tanks right away. Beginner Sets are curated to teach the basics first, with simpler playstyles. New players won’t unlock more advanced or high-tier Sets until they’ve actually proven they can handle them.
In the current system, someone could rush to tier VI or VII without ever understanding the tank class they’re in. With Sets, they’re at least being guided to playstyles that suit them, and that they’ve had time to learn. In the long run, that’s better for everyone, including veterans like us who want stronger, more competent teammates.

Premiums are not pay to win. The statistics showing them having higher winrates is because naturally less players own these premiums, let alone drive them.
On average more skilled players will have these premiums, especially the rarer ones, over tech tre vehicles. The stats will naturally be higher compared to their tech tree counterparts

The “Pay to Win” economic aspect of gaming is hard to deny. I think WG has done better than most developers to minimize it. Even so, the stats that I see only seem to show Tier 10 tanks as very balanced. Premium tanks at other tiers generally show better performance for highly skilled as well as lower skilled players. Obviously not all premium tanks are better than all tech tanks…but overall they perform better. For example, the Annie is so overpowered that WG tries to match an equal number of Annies on the other team. The win rate for Annie’s seems reasonably low in part because of this. Doesn’t mean it’s not one of the most overpowered tanks in the game. Most other premiums have characteristics that give them some advantage. People don’t buy them just because they’re pretty (most of the time at least!). Tier 10 tanks seem fine and must be getting some extra attention, maybe due to professional level tournaments? Regardless, I’m just stating my hope that WG doesn’t sell overpowered “Annie”type Commanders.

I’d like to suggest an idea that I believe could make the game more engaging and provide players with additional motivation.

I've been playing WoT Blitz for 4 years now, with over 400 hours and more than 5,000 battles. During this time, I’ve grown to love the game, but I think adding a military-style ranking system (such as Captain, Major, Colonel, etc.) could bring new life to the gameplay.

The ranking system could be based on achievements, number of battles, win rate, and other performance metrics.
It could also be used when selecting clan members, matching players by skill level, or for other purposes where experience matters.

This would create a sense of progress and personal status for players — especially for veterans.

I'm not pro either but I like this idea, too much to base titles off of though, and it shouldn't be exclusively military ranks I think, it should fit more how you play. Like if you were able to accumulate x nicols medals, y aces, and z 1st classes for the current season in mediums then you get a title respective to that, like some sort of medium specialist title. Think enemies shouldn't be able to see this at the start of the game either since it might give an idea of your playstyle (assuming the titles represent it in some way)

You have a point, that does sound nice. One of the main reasons I suggested military ranks was to make it more clear and recognizable for everyone — so people could easily understand how skilled a player is.

Also, I think it shouldn’t be like a fixed level or something that only goes up. It would be better if the rank could also go down when your performance drops. That way, it stays fair and really reflects how well you’re playing over time.

WG could we be able to change the Colors of the in battle UI. In UT1 the allied team was cyan and now in UT2 it's back to green. could it be like in Valorant where the player's could change the colors of each team based of preference? I personaly like the new Reforged cyan.
I've got an idea. How about you keep the current Crew Skills in Reforged while adding commanders. This would allow the player to somewhat chouse a unique playstyle for their tank while also allowing for the dynamics of Crew Skills. Also, keep previsions and add WoTPC's Equipment 2.0 to Reforged.

i watched the gameplay clips from their live stream, the colors still look over-saturated to me. or i can say, highly saturated, like disneyland.

also, it can depend on display too, for those who have samsung, they can go to settings>display>screen mode, and change it to Natural from Vivid, and then, see the gameplays from the latest livestream. That, is how the actual colour should look, it's almost close to natural.

I just watched the live stream and I can tell the devs are working hard to make the game better while the community is screaming their insides out to remove that and this and some even said to not do the reforged update at all.they aren't gonna revert back years of development so cope harder (my opinion)
