Starting this month, your Mod Team brings you challenges. These challenges will be global, and come with prizes, delivered straight to your account! The goal of this is to a. give away stuff, b. engage the playerbase more with the discord server, and c. just have something fun to aim for while you play.
Every month, one of us moderators will launch one or more challenges for you to enter, with differing rules and conditions (though, keep in mind that EULA always applies ;) ), and prizes. There'll be something for everyone over time. So be sure to keep an eye on this channel to be aware of what you need to do and what you can win =)

Challenge 1: Not Three Sided Anymore

Destroy 3 Enemy tanks in a span of 5 seconds, tier 7 or higher.

Reward: Tier 10 Vk.90

Duration: From 1st of August till Upto and including 23th August.

Rules:

1. Random battles only (No tournament, No ratings or No Fun modes)

2. Account must have more than 5500 Regular battles.

3. Entries can be submitted by <t:1724457540:f>, they must have the timestamp of when the 3 kills are achieved, in game name with the id, server and the replay. Kindly Add "Challenge 1" words to your entry as well.

4. Game EULA applies, no rigging. If caught rigging, the user will be disqualified and reported to wargaming. No platoons allowed.

5. Replays must be active at the time of submission. They must be from the duration mentioned above.

6. The prize will get credited to the account to which the replay belongs, so if you enter with someone else's replay, the prize will be credited to them. There will also be no compensation at all or just credit compensation if you already have the tank.

7. First person to complete the challenge will win.

Challenge 2: Mad rammer

Achieve the highest amount of damage through ramming in mad games.

Reward: Tier VII E25

Duration: From 1st August till upto and including August 11th

Rules:

1. Mad game battles only (No tournament, No ratings, No random or other fun modes)

2. Entries can be submitted until <t:1723507200:f>, and must include Challenge 2, your in game name, server, ID, total ram damage achieved, and replay. Example: Challenge 2, Mutsusenpai, APAC, 123456879, 500 (and of course the replay file)

3. Game EULA applies, no rigging. If caught rigging, the user will be disqualified and reported to wargaming.

4. Replays must be active at the time of submission. They must be from the duration mentioned above.

5. The prize will get credited to the account to which the replay belongs, so if you enter with someone else's replay, the prize will be credited to them. There will also be no compensation at all or just credit compensation if you already have the tank

6. The highest damage by the end of challenge will win the tank.

Achieve the highest amount of blocked damages in a medium tank.

Reward: Tier VI M4A3E2 Sherman Jumbo

Duration: From 7th August till upto and including August 14th

4. Replays must be active at the time of submission. They must be from the duration mentioned above.

5. The prize will get credited to the account to which the replay belongs, so if you enter with someone else's replay, the prize will be credited to them. There will also be no compensation at all or just credit compensation if you already have the tank

6. The highest damage blocked by the end of challenge will win the tank. 1 Winner Only.

Exciting news for october's competition!

We are going to do some Kahoots

How will this work?
I have made multiple Kahoots, each one is region specific.
This means I will host different Kahoots for the different timezones, going by the most popular vote in previous surveys.

Where will it take place?
You can join the General VC, where I will be sharing my screen. Everyone joining will have their mics disabled. Since the Kahoots are region specific, I want only people from that region to join the corresponding Kahoot. EU players join the EU one, NA joins NA and APAC joins APAC.
Simple enough, right?

What will the prize be?
I plan on giving the first place winner of each region a tier VIII tank to choose from a set list.
The list is as follows: Astron Rex, Bat.-Châtillon Bourrasque, Caernarvon Action X, Defender MK.1, EMIL 1951, GSOR 1008, IS-3 Defender, Kanonenjagdpanzer 105, Object 252U, T-54 First Prototype, VK 168.01(P).

If you so desire you can request a tank of lower tier as well, I'll give you a list of the options then.

Keep in mind that if you join a Kahoot that's not of your region and you win, you will NOT receive a prize and the reward will go to second place.

I expect people to be respectful, do not share any answers in any channel or you will be immediately disqualified. Names need to abide by server rules, if people fail to follow this rule, the quizzes will be cancelled.

I've gotten a lot of messages asking me what a Kahoot is.

Basically it's a multiple choice quiz. You can join via any device through a browser.
Kahoot is a very widely used website for education purposes, really popular in schools.
A question gets put up on the screen, and you have to choose from up to 4 answers. The faster you are, the more points you get. The person with the highest score wins.

I'll explain everything once more at the start of the hosting session.

So you guys must be curious when i'm planning to host this stuff, right?
Well you don't have to wait any longer!

This weekend, on Sunday the 13th, the first hosting session will commence. I'll be starting off with the NA server. As per the survey, the most suitable time that was chosen was 13:00 EST.

Next weekend, on Sunday the 20th, the second session will happen with APAC this time.
According to the survey, the most optimal time that was chosen was 13:00 UTC+8.

To end things off, on Sunday the 27th, the final session with EU will happen. The survey results for best time to host at was 18:00 CET. **Keep in mind that on this day the clock will shift one hour back because of daylight savings. **

I am pleased to announce I will be your host for November's festivities on the server. If you are not familiar with the levels of challenge I have offered in the past these will be similar in nature. He orders you to keep the engine warm and jumps out of the tank to immediately start discussing with the other officers. It would seem something will happen the 22nd and end the 28th, perhaps you should inform the other drivers so they may watch your back or do you have full confidence in your driving skills?...

Challenges for November have been wrapped up as we have our final winners! Thank you for joining us this month to our next Host/Hostess for December's Activities!

December's Challenge is finally here! After months of fighting fierce battles for prizes, this month's challenge will be very different and will instead require your own sharp eyes. Spread across the different maps of WoT Blitz are unique features that you may or may not have noticed before. Some are Easter Eggs, others are outside of the map, and the rest are simply hiding in plain sight. Some will be evident at first sight, while others may have you scratching your head for some time.

I have taken screenshots of these unique features from 20 different maps. Your goal is to first identify which maps these screenshots come from, and then find these locations on each map. In order to do, you will likely need to explore the maps yourself in a training room. If you find a certain screenshot location, make sure to screenshot it yourself! The pictures will be posted very soon once this message goes out. Each location has been purposely grayscaled to remove color to make it harder, and the location screenshots will have little additional detail besides what to hunt for.

In order to help with your search, I will provide a clue at least once a day. Give your feedback in #competition-discussion on which location I should provide a clue about! I hope for the challenge to be difficult at first but will gradually become more clear as time goes on. You will be able to make 1 guess per day by submitting a list of all 20 maps to #february-competition-entries. The first person (or persons) to submit a correct list of all 20 maps will win a Tier X collector vehicle, or will split the winnings between them. Once the pool of maps is confirmed, it will become an all out race to submit yourself posing next to all 20 locations in the screenshots! The first person to submit their proofs of finding all the locations will also win a Tier X collector tank!

Specific Rules

❗ Reset time to send a new entry is always at 21:00 UTC (<t:1734728400:t> in your timezone). Editing your response is not allowed, nor is deleting your response and reposting. Doing so will get your entry voided the first time and you will be disqualified the second time. Only send your entry to #february-competition-entries. The maps do not need to be in any specific order when submitted, so you're free to guess randomly or go one by one.

You are allowed to privately work together or help each other with the clues, but I highly discourage you from doing so. There is only one winner for the final stage and it's likely to only have one winner for the first stage, so every clue that you help another person with is setting yourself back. In this competition, every player is for themselves! Providing answers to others in #competition-discussion is not allowed.

🏁 Once a list of all featured 20 maps is submitted correctly, I will announce the maps to the rest of the server the next day at 21:00 UTC. It's advisable to submit an entry every day, as I will privately message everyone who submitted and tell them what percentage correct they were (but not which maps they have right or wrong!). Make sure you're collecting proofs of each location as you find them as you may need to post them right away the next day!

Proper format for a location screenshot proof should include the image on one of the 20 locations provided in the thread above in a battle, with your username visible. Here is an example, you can see a picture of this Coffee sign which is found on Middleburg, with my username at the top left. (By the way, Middleburg is not one of the 20 maps 😄).

The first reset to submit a new entry goes live right now. But you won't need to...because the list of maps has already been submitted correctly! Not only that, I had multiple people submit their screenshot proofs that they found all 20 locations already, meaning the challenge is already completed.

This leaves me in a bit of an awkward space, because even though I tried my best to make it as challenging as possible, I was really expecting this to at least take a full day or more. According to my rules, what I should be doing now is splitting the reward to everyone who submitted the maps correctly (because there were multiple people who did so), and rewarding the first person to post the screenshot proofs after this announcement is sent. I could also disqualify anyone who submitted their screenshot proofs or void their entries, because I specified to only submit a list of maps first. But I don't want to be a Grinch when several of you already put in the effort to find these locations. And unfortunately, I can't expand the prize pool to more than what I've been given because I'm just a mod here .

So what I think is the most fair thing to do is reward everyone submitted a correct, full list of the 20 maps, with a special prize to the first person who submitted correctly.

Happy New Year! January 2025 Challenge

Welcome @hereto 2025. I hope you are going to have a great year.

To start off the year, I present to you with a spotting damage Masterclass challenge. This challenge is not about doing damage, its about helping your team find the opponents while trying to be sneaky and undercover.

This will help you understand map awareness and where to play light tanks.

Challenge:

This challenge is for everyone to take part in!

  achieve the highest amount of spotting assisted damage in ENCOUNTER battles. assisted damage can be displayed in the statistics menu at the end of the game by pressing the icon displayed in the pictures below. Please also note that playing a tier 7 light tank will increase the challenges difficulty but you will be award with a special prize if you manage to get top 3

Challenge Rules:

1. Most Important Rule: I am looking for damage caused by other players when you spot an enemy vehicle. (Tracking to get assisted, with normal shells, i.e not HE, is allowed but this is not the aim of the challenge so bonus points for pure spotting)tracking with HE is not permitted as this will cause more damage for your team to cause to the enemy. Only tracking with normal shells is allowed. Entry will be disqualified if other shell types are used.
2. You must use a tank from the list above otherwise the entry will be ignored
3. Battle must be played in Encounter mode only from <t:1736121600:R> to <t:1738367940:R>
4. Battle must be played on in the standard game mode (rating and special game modes do not count for this challenge)
5. Battle must be played solo. Platoons are prohibited in this challenge.
6. You must upload the main battle results page, the advance statistics page (shown in screenshot below), and the replay in #february-competition-entries
7. Any breaking of rules 1 - 6 and the entry will be automatically disqualified.

Challenge Recommendations:

1. Don't load HE shells! Using HE to track an enemy vehicle is prohibited and will cause the entry to be disqualified so if you don't take them, you can't use them!
2. Use good spotting/camo equipment. This will help you to be sneaky and spot up those enemy vehicles!
3. Relocation! It's good to relocate a lot in this challenge so you can spot different vehicles.
4. Patience! It's also good to be patient as you never know what might be coming over a hill!

Challenge End Date:

The challenge will end <t:1738367940:R> and the channel will be closed. All entries must be submitted before this date otherwise it will not count.

March Challenge 1: Get the highest amount of damage without getting a Kill.

Reward: Tier 8 vehicle out of a provided list.

Duration: From 22nd March till 29th March.

Rules:

1. Random battles only (No tournament, No ratings or No Fun modes)

   I would prefer if someone just starting out wins, but i guess alt accounts can win too.

This months competition is a drawing competition. My most played tank is the XM551 Sheridan, the tier 10 USA light tank. When this tank had missiles I played it everyday for weeks!
My challenge for you this month is to create a new camouflage for the XM551 Sheridan using the drawing I have attached below.

The rules are simple:
1. You must use the image provided (you can add to the surroundings if you want but only the camo itself will be judged)
2. The art can be digital or hand drawn
3. The camouflage cannot contain political, rude, racial, homophobic language etc
4. Record the drawing or take pictures as you go. If you do not upload progress images the entry will be disqualified. (This will stop the us of AI for this challenge) Please refer to the WIP rules below.

While the decisions made stay as is, we hope this clarification at least will keep people from breaking the game rules in the rest of this competition run and understand the expectations better.

Your battle result needs a mastery badge and certain level of damage or xp for each Tier:
Tier 10: min. 6.000 dmg or 1.500 base XP
Tier 9: min. 5.000 dmg or 1.400 base XP

Tier 7: min. 3.500 dmg or 1.250 base XP

So every December since 2017 I've been holding a bunch of competitions in December. It's changed a bit over time. Originally it was literally across all tiers, but it's mutated a bit because with update 5.5 the interest in playing low tiers dwindled a lot. But, even with the changes, I will still call this the Ten Tiers of Christmas.
Back in the day, I'd run these competitions on the official forums (which are now deleted), switched to my server for a few years and this year I'm just going to run them on the official server. The thing to note is that this is my Big Project as a community contributor that I get special permission and budget for, so both the prizes and the budget are special that way. There’s also a number of prizes that are a set prize - that is because they’re codes I’ve got that I’m also working into this to make the overall prize pool bigger.

I've opted for some creative contests, and some competitions in 'regular' mm, and some in newbie mm. I'm splitting those to keep things fair. The cut off point will lie at 5500 battles.

The competition will run throughout December, and the battles have to take place in December. The replay has to be active when you submit it (so I'll be allowing replays from December 2nd onwards for this, because of the update on the 1st of December). All battles have to be in random battles (so no funmodes, no tournament battles and no rating battles), except for the funny moment competition.

Entries can be submitted until <t:1767308340:f> and every submission needs to have the screenshots, gif/video and replays as stated per competition, along with your ign and ID (note, if you have a bunch of underscores in your ign, make sure to put a \ before each, it bypasses discords coding). Just a note; I do not know when WG is planning the next update - if they plan that on January 1st, I will move the deadline to December 31st (because otherwise the replays will no longer be active and I can’t check them).

All potentially winning entries will be checked for fair play and whether or not they follow the game rules. Deliberately throwing a match, stat padding at the direct expense of your team's objective, or any other activity deemed by me and/or the moderator team to be an exploit will be considered rigging and will result in disqualification. If you are toxic in that battle, you will also be disqualified (obviously you won’t be disqualified if your teammates or enemy players are toxic - that’s not your fault or responsibility). These are the general rules, but the competitions each state what additional rules and conditions there are. Just to clarifying platooning; you can platoon as long as both have either less (for the newbie challenges) or more (for the regular challenges) than 5500 battles, just to avoid issues there. And with the understanding that the actions of your toonmate are also scrutinized - if at any point it feels that your toonmate is letting you farm damage or kills or any such so you can get more base xp, that will be seen as unfair play and get you disqualified

• your battlecount will be checked upon checking the replays, so early April. If you are very close to 5500 battles, tag me to check your replay and stats early
• if I find you posted in the wrong channel (so in newbie MM instead of the regular comp, or the other way around), it does not mean your result will count for the other competition, it will just mean your entry does not count

Hello, and welcome to the April Challenge of the Month! This month's challenge revolves around the new Total Domination mode. Now that everyone's had a chance to play the mode, find your favorite vehicles, and are familiar with basic tactics, we will be launching this month's competition. There will be one single challenge this month, which is to earn the highest total damage in every way! This is broken down into three categories, and added together for one final total:

- Total damage dealt
- Total damage blocked
- Total damage assisted
You may notice there isn't a challenge towards capping the most points or being in the capture zone for the most amount of time. That's because there isn't a practical means of recording those stats. Since I expect everyone to be attempting their best to win each game, all valid entries must involve your tank entering the cap zone at least two times, at any point during the match. You are not required to remain in the cap zone for a certain duration, but not doing so is just poor strategy for the vast majority of the time. This is to ensure you are contributing to the team effort of capping the objective. You are otherwise free to employ whatever tactics you believe are necessary for the best entry to a challenge and to win the match.

You can submit your replays in #may-submissions. When submitting, please use this example as a guide for what information to submit, and how to do it:

So do try to be accurate, so that I don't have to disqualify your entry for exaggerating your match or miss it because you understated the details of the match.

More info on entries: since this competition is starting a bit later than I'd have liked, you are allowed to submit replays from before this competition was announced, but obviously only ones from Total Domination are acceptable. Unfortunately because of the micropatch that went out today, some of your prior replays may have been deleted, but anything you put into the Favorites tab should be fine.

Today, the last test for Reforged before its release begins. We've gotten permission from WG to hand out a bunch of June BPs, which we'll be doing through 8 competitions. The June BP will be shorter, but also include crates for previous BP tanks, so in that way, it's a special pass.
Rules:

• all results have to be from this Reforged test, from the 29th, 30th or 31st of May
• you can submit your entries until <t:1780311600:F>
• all results have to be wins (before you ask, this is to make sure the effort is made to win rather than just farm damage), except for funny moments
• to enter, you have to post your battle results and team results (and in case of funny moments, a recording of the funny moment) and your IGN and ID
• your IGN in Reforged has to match your Blitz IGN (this is to avoid people entering and winning with someone else's results)
• games have to be random games, no funmodes or ranked (except for funny moments, that can be anywhere)
