#kind of a repost because the last one gained no traction: NeX GEn "Spotithon"?

I had an idea at work the other day for a fun server project.

Its a spotify playlist challenge with NeX GEn where every single song in the album gets 2-3 songs from any genre or artist/band the person/participant wants put in between so long as:

  1. they transition seamlessly and perfectly in/out of the NeX GEn song they're up against in the playlist.
  2. they make sense sonically in comparison/contrast to the NeX GEn song they're up against in the playlist.
  3. songs are NOT MADE BY BMTH.
    -I feel like this would make a really fun challenge to do for the whole server;
    who can make the best "playlist"/"album(?)" out of NeX GEn?
    I call it the "NeX GEn Spotithon" (alternate name suggestions encouraged)

in depth explanation:
step 1: download NeX GEn into a playlist.
step 2: add a song that transitions out of each NeX GEn song
(a transition in the context i'm talking about is that perfect point where one song ends and another completely different song begins and they meld perfectly into each other)
-for example, "[ost] dreamseeker" ends with "lets begin" so you might try to find a song that sonically ties into that phrase or that voice register really nicely. Doesn't have to be metal, can be anything as long as it fits the aforementioned three rules.
OPTIONAL step: add an intermediary song that goes well in between the two other songs.
step 3: add a song that transitions into the next NeX GEn song
step 4: post on what would theoretically be a server forum created by mods for people to post their playlist links for rating
step 5: get rated 🤓
step 6: done!

Why can’t you do this yourself as a community? Why is it down to the mods to do the work for you?

Also you could’ve bumped your last post to bring it to the top of the forum list rather than recycle your idea

Just to respond to this on a more professional level.

This idea is a cool one, though it doesn’t warrant having a completely separate category for it. You could literally create a forum for the members of the community to post their playlists into.

We’re trying to keep the server to necessary channels only so to not clutter the sidebar and I can’t see a channel/forum channel being used actively
