Meta Quest 3.
Self explanatory. I bought 2 bundles yesterday and I have the Meta invoices (paid)

In-app bundles/songs/experiences are still "BUY" protected.

I know there are other threads about the same problem but I can not read a solution there.

I've restarted glasses. Still same result.
All actions taken using just the glasses. No PC involved. No browser involved.

How is your network connection when running the game?

#

For DLC, the game asks Meta what you own, and based on what Meta tells the game, the DLC is unlocked for you.

Sometimes people need to connect their headset to the phone app to get their account recognized for this process. Sometimes people need to forget the network connection and reconnect to make sure Meta is authenticating their account correctly.

Both these things are well worth trying.

#

Next steps include making sure you have given the game all the permissions asked for (eg access to storage) and checking your log file (requires connection to a PC)

Trying things I've noticed I can't access my DLCs at all...
Then I checked mobile app, etc, (the things you recommended)... And whaaaat? My Horizon+ subscription ended yesterday.

I've figured out:

  • My Horizon+ subscription ended yesterday.
  • I didn't purchase Synth Riders in the first place... I own the game just because I was a Horizon+ member
  • I in fact bought:

  • I've renewed my Horizon+ suscription
  • Now I can launch Synth Riders but I can not access any DLC...

having the same issue, tried everything i could think of and nothing changed, uninstalled restarted and re-installed several times, reset headset to default settings ensured internet connection, disconnecting and re-connecting, nothing is working so far, all purchased DLC showing as not purchased in game

You can’t double purchase on Meta and this is sometimes how you get the DLC to unlock.

If either of you are able to connect your Quest to a PC I would love to see your AppLog.txt file - it’s either in the game install folder if you don’t have custom content

Or it’s in the SynthRidersUC folder if you do

Ok. Problem is the file:

This PC > Quest 3 > Internal shared storage > SynthRidersUC > AppLog.txt

does not exist because the folder:

This PC > Quest 3 > Internal shared storage > SynthRidersUC

does not exist (in my glasses)

Oooook. Folder is created the first time you access Custom songs (I haven't) and grant permissions ^^

If you need me to take certain actions in-game so they get logged just ask ^^

The game is talking to Meta, asking for the information - and not getting a valid response from their server.

So it then tries to look at your cache and that also fails.

This is perfect, gives me something to talk to the team about. If I had to place a bet, I would say this winds up with me asking Meta whether there is an issue with their servers

I'm seeing some suggestion about v79.0 having IAP issues with games having a lot of DLC items (like us), so just want to see whether you're on latest Meta OS or not.

The two things we want to make sure are:

  • You're on the latest version of Synth Riders (even if the headset says there's no updates available, I don't trust it - we can confirm exactly from the Settings menu in game, there's a number bottom left of the menu list)
  • You're on the latest OS, and what version of the OS it is.

i was able to play one this morning i had thought i bought the entire pack of the lindsay stirling experience, but apparently i only got one song, so i bought the rest of the pack as a whole, then i couldn't play them anymore, i tried buying the whole set (game plus experiences) though i did not pay for the game and the lindsay stirling experience as i already had them, so it deducted that price from there, and it still wouldn't work, i got that from the oculus store instead of in game hoping that would make a difference, and it did not.

if you need me to do anything else, i've reinstalled it, cleared the cache, deleted all game info, reset all system settings to default, ensured the game has all permissions enabled, even if it doesn't really need them, changed from release to test and back, uninstalled, shut down and restarted then re-installed, and nothing yet lol

I did check to see if it might be effecting other in game purchases for other titles, it appears that the only game I have being affected by this is synth riders.

We don't know what method they're using for their DLC, and they're also not in Horizon+ so not implicated with the subscriptions issue we're seeing another dev saying they're seeing

We haven't touched the method we use for handling DLC in the store in probably about 6 months? The last change we made was to add our own caching because Meta's store has been so unreliable in this regard.

But yeah, we haven't changed anything in how we ask the store what DLC you have etc.

That's what's happened in the past, yes.

We use the method they provide to do it, but it has definitely happened in the past that things have gone wrong on the server side for them.

I don't believe I'm in Horizon+ -- I bought the game standalone via the Meta store (Quest 3), then purchased a DLC pack through a Paypal transaction.
Previously I've bought DLC content in Synth Riders and it's been fine, it's only this latest pack that's inaccessible.

Like Nightphreak, when I click Buy again, the Meta Store window pops up for a split section and then re-closes. I can click Buy on other songs or packs and have the store appear and seemingly make further purchases.

I tried rebooting, and reinstalling the game. I don't have any of the log files as I've never connected it to my PC yet, but I'll grab all that stuff if things don't resolve -- I don't really want to co-opt and derail Nightphreak's bug thread!

Jumping on the “I have this bug too”. I’m away from my headset, so I can’t give version details now. Definitely not a H+ user, purchased the game outright 2 years ago. DLC worked fine until recently. I spent an hour on chat with Meta support, they tried to push it into Synth Riders after usual stuff (restart, reinstall, etc) didn’t fix problem.

Copying this over from its own report:
I haven’t been able to play for almost a year due to some injuries. I just started it back up today and the various DLC I had purchased all says BUY again. I went to the new 80s side b and bought it, was successful because I did get charged. It never changed from BUY though. I shutdown the quest 2 and restarted. When I went in to synth riders it still said BUY for the bundle so I clicked it, the button changes from BUY to PROCESSING. It just sits there forever. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, that didn’t. Change things, so it’s just stuck with no DLC.
