#Andor Season 2 - Episode 6
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
The Fondor! (Which really needs toys)
Vel! Looks like maybe she’s gone full Cinta since the wedding
??? How are you ahead of me now?
Possibly
Unless I’m completely mistaken about the “other asset” Luthen has in play on Ghorman
Oh. NVM. You're not ahead of me. I'm just not good at recognizing characters when they change their hair. The same thing happened last week with Cinta.
“Calibrate your enthusiasm” lol
Oh sheet Vel and Cinta, this is gonna be awkward
Visiting friends?
Wow was that Benjamin Bratt from Law & Order? Sure as hell didn’t look or sound like Bail
Kali Coolers, does Oga’s have that?
Wow yeah
I mean, leaving him for hours with the thing on would have been better fitting what he deserved
I was literally just thinking “man him having his own division to run must be why the rebels think the empire always turns/breaks people”
opposite of awkward. so saw that coming
"nobody have a blaster." looks pointedly at child
Chekov's blaster
Well they were adults about it rather than make soap opera drama
goddamn this show is so good
Bix? Kleya?? Mon?? Vel?? Chat idk who I stan the most😭they all ate this arc
Yeah damn this was just such good setup for the next arc
other than no K2. 😦
“We should have killed Krennic while we had the chance” lol
Truer words never spoken
cool guys don't look at explosions
I’m guessing Syril will send over footage from the heist, they’ll ID Vel then trace her back to Mon😞
I was so sure there was gonna be a drop of Kleya’s blood on that antique
Not sure if Syril got that good an image of them
I was a little confused about that. For some reason I figured Kleya and Luthen were tweaking about Sculdon finding out the wedding gift was bugged
the completely unneccessary bug because his assistant does not shut up
Yeaaah she gave that info over with zero hesitation😭😭too funny
They’re tweaking about the wedding statue gift being a fake, but in freaking out about that and re-examining everything he’s bought from Luthen they’d find the bug in that piece
I wonder if Kleya's necklace has multiple secret uses. I believe she wore it in Season 1 prior to Davo being introduced, so I imagine she has the ability to retroactively give it more functionality.
Ahhh that makes more sense!
it's not the wedding statue, it's something else not from Luthen
but they're having everything examined
I’ll go with Mon then Kleya then Vel and Bix in a tie.
I swore they were referring to that chandi merle statue being a forgery
I didn't get that impression
But because of that, he needed to recheck everything Luthen has sold him
no it was something else, but I can't keep the macguffin names straight
I’m not sure what other expensive wedding gift could have come from Sculdin via Luthen
I dig it! Honestly they’re all tied for me. Love seeing the homies win. Especially Bix. FUCK GORST!
So, did anyone else watch the last scene multiple times just to take it all in? 😆
I’m going to be rewatching all three tomorrow
Catch details I’m too tired now to catch
I still think it’s the statue that was the forgery. It gave Luthen a perfect in for being at the wedding
I rewinded too far back and saw Cinta dying again😞
I have a feeling I missed a lot as well. I've been tired all day. I looked at a text I sent earlier and thought "Did I actually say that? Was I high?" (I was not. I was just so tired, the text didn't make sense.) 😆
I was getting kinda sleepy feeling at 7:30ish and was like NO, MUST WATCH ANDOR
Vel's monologue had me tearing up...
My only critique is that they recasted Bail for an unnecessary 20ish second cameo. It was awesome seeing Ben Bratt but an overall bizarre decision
Was that actually him?
I think so! I could be wrong
But yeah, just could have been some other character
Absolutely no need for that to have been Bail
20 seconds for now
Oooooh good point
That was Bail. They mentioned Breha
No clue, but I was really pissed when he spoke. That sounded nothing like Bail!
I’m a bit afraid for next 6 episodes suddenly, if we’re a bit put off, the internet at large is going to lose their shit
Everything else has been perfect but that was just a bit jarring
I just remembered this isn’t the first time they’ve recasted Bail. Someone else played him in Phantom Menace, then Jimmy got casted for his other appearances
yeah, there was no need for that at all
I do like how Disney+ popped up “You may also like Rogue One?” Sir (or madam) are you familiar with my game?
Yeah lol, like, I know, I’m watching the prequel for it
I thought that was only in a deleted scene.
Get to the last 3 episode arc and then recommend Rogue One to me
we got an ad for some other show of a kid? which is not something I watch.
I can’t remember. I think it was during the vote for no confidence
They were right though, I’m already sort of seeing Cassian’s last moments with Jyn as him seeing Bix in her place
yeah, I like Bix a lot more than I liked Jyn and I am not optimistic for her chances
Also he has a thing for women with 3 letter names
Yeah, it was supposed to be Bail in TPM but they retconned him as another senator from Alderaan - Antilles (because apparently they only have so many surnames in Alderaan)
I was worried we’d see Bix OD
yeah, I thought he was coming home to her passed out, at minimum.
When she didn’t answer the door
she was messed up though, she stumbled some
Not Cinta 😭
Ha! I posted that before seeing the very end and now all 4 of them are tied for me as well! Also that new version of the Andor theme at the very end was
!
My heart s a n k when she didn’t answer
That was my impression after season 1.
Cassian and Jyn bonded over this big emotional relevant thing they did, then they were about to die, so they held each other and thought about their father and sister / girlfriend / adoptive mom respectively.
Same
Bro why did Cinta have to die like that tho
Random gunfire 😭
Then the whole monologue from Vel on the train.
Cause stupid rich kids think they know better than the vets there to teach them how to rebel
I kinda wonder if some of our favorites are getting relatively meaningless deaths in Andor to make the sacrifices in Rogue One more impactful?
I loved how Vel and Cinta were basically the Jedi there to teach them how to guerilla fight like what Saw went through
Yeaaaah that doofus completely missed😭
I half expected him to mention general Skywalker in his war stories
the cast is getting fridged to make Andor's work and death more impactful
That’s EXACTLY what I was thinking of
I thought it was abt to be an Aldahni where one dude shoots another and then everybody starts killing each other
Like the dudes in the second episode of this season
About to be a Yavin that is
That’s the jungle planet they were on in the first arc
Which reminds me, not nearly as much comedic relief this arc
excuse me, Moffi and Toffi don't entertain you?
Loved the surprise Krennic appearance, as well as his and Mon’s short debate which is super relevant to today’s times
“One persons criminal is another’s rebel” or something like that he said
Terrorist
You kind of answered your own question.
She died so Vel could give the monologue.
all the berets on Ghorman gave it a very French Resistance vibe
The language wasn’t French but it sounded like French
That tracks if Palmo is space paris
They did that very much on purpose
Oui
And the reputation of being snobs
it was sounding a little more Germanic to me, but I've only been listening to Lily, Eddie, Falstaff, and crew speak French lately
The Ghorman official / business guy whose last name starts with an R is a German actor I think.
Excuse-moi?!?
So basically Ghorman is French-German coded.
I wonder what my dawg B2EMO’s doing rn
It’s interesting though, next arc it’ll be a year later, so the rebellion on Ghorman will have evolved
Living on a farm in the country
and maybe have some competence and not argue with the actual revolutionaries who show up to help
I noticed a tiny interesting detail, but I don't remember which episode it's from. When the Ghorman rebels are looking at Syril's file, the screen on the data pad is a sepia color. Have we ever seen something like that before?
Poor Wilmon. Saw has gone off the deep end
when wasn't Saw off the deep end
Never really a long trip for him tho, is it?
Ok but important:
Syril thinks the Gorman Front is being used as bait to draw out actual rebels.
So Syril thinks the Ghorman Front is honorable and okay, he just needs to use them for the greater good.
Syril finding out that he was there to puff them up and create a false flag operation may not go over well with him.
Possibly as a toddler
Jury’s out
Ahh this reminds me. Was that one guy actually an imperial informant or did Saw make up a reason to kill him?
I imagine before he started snorting rhydonium. 😆 He did imply it did something to him.
Good question
We will probably never know for sure
And that is the whole point
I don’t know tbh, I wondered if Saw just had that lie ready to go
they pulled out the recorder, so I'm assuming he was
They could have planted it.
But tbh I think it’s supposed to be nebulous.
Pick whichever version you like best
Too bad Bor Gullet didn’t appear to be around
Yeah I think so too. The timing seemed too perfect
also I was expected the fuel/drug/whatever thing to explode and that's when Saw gets a little more cyborg-y
The point is that saw is nuts
He didn’t want to let Wilmon go when he was the better engineer
He’s visiting his grandma on Niamos
But still I figured Saw had some small ounce of honoring his deals with Luthen
Isn't it Rhydonium? They kept saying Rhydo. I assumed that was shorthand.
I don't think it's so much honoring as much as "still useful"
Loves the vibe and the music
Like, won’t Luthen be mad the person he sent got pressganged into joining Saw’s crew?
yes but it was energy that they also abuse recreationally
If he can use Wilmon with Saw, he’ll think it is a fair trade
Luthen also doesn't care about individuals. only the Cause
Yeah I wondered at that part, was Saw getting high on rhydonium
And like, forcing Wilmon to as well
It seemed like he was snorting it. LOL
"how high are you?"
"what"
"how high"
"hello!"
I’m pretty sure that’s a thing militia groups do in the real world.
Get high on basically whatever’s available
!!!
For morale and hype purposes
That's kinda scary.
and also who needs sleep
Both Allied and German army ran on meth during ww2
WWII they were literally taking amphetamines
Bix apparently.
Although killing Dr Gorst is clearly the next best thing
Yes
That
There are heroes drug abuse on both sides
having nightmares? literally kill them.
I mean
If it works
That's my favorite scene in the series so far!
she didn't even take his little dessert though
He didn’t get enough time with the headset on imo
she have eaten it in front of him
The little dessert was compromised
The packaging had his finger smudgies
Best to just burn it with fire
Shoulda left a timed explosive
Let the past die. Kill it if you have to. - Kylo Ren
Wait didn’t they do that basically?
Well, Bix pressed a trigger.
Cassian pushed a button
Cassian, right
But like, they should have left something so it lasted longer than however long it took her to get out
I know Bix said it would feel like forever
But still
it would have lasted as long as they wanted it to, it was triggered not timed
Make it forever +1
I think eventually the child alien death screams just melt your brain
There’s no point in just leaving it to run for hours
It’s like nuking nachos too long in the microwave, the cheese goes dry and then what are you even doing.
I mean. you get better.
Yeah, just boobytrap the door so either his brain melts or someone comes to check on him and boom
Only if you don’t get an overdose I think?
We don't really know how long Bix was wearing that headset on Ferrix.
Controlled increments
Possibly only once, even.
But once is bad enough.
They were gonna give the dude his own division, he deserves the brain melts
And they blew up the building he was gonna have his division in, I think.
And hilariously it’s the imperial navy’s fault.
Seemed like just his office
"It's an honor"
"It's an assignment."
need ya to take like 30% off the top there
Because the imperial navy insisted on having Gorst work for them too.
This is the guy who was like “I’m not doing it for glory”
A total toady.
Partagaz always has witty comebacks
Seems like it, but I'm just saying that I don't think we have enough evidence to back up the theory that doing it for so long doesn't make a difference.
I love his comebacks!
My favorite was s1 when Dedra blurted out “systems either change or die” and he just sat there and then said “thesis please…”
Didn’t explode in anger, just, ok explain
I was grinning ear to ear when he said "Pick one!" tonight.
I think calibrate your enthusiasm is my new favorite saying though
That too
Such a great reply to that brown noser lol
I wondered if we’d see Dedra’s aide again since he seemed so ambitious
And yes we did
he'll choke on it
Not sure, did we see Blevins?
I believe we did, yes.
I wasn’t paying much attention to the other ISB people
THIS SHOW IS SO DAMN GOOD
why did they clear the huge war room for that, couldn't they use the white room or a meeting room or something? it's just the two of them and comms
Almost forgot, Bix is now 2/2 on putting her abusers 6 feet under
hell yes.
Took her awhile to get Gorst
I fear though they didn’t get away with it as cleanly as they think
And that seems to work, seeing that she wasn't having nightmares of Lieutenant ||Rape|| this week. (Not that killing your abusers personally is a good strategy for real life)
I mean
Definitely the opposite of how to deal with it in a healthy manner
I mean
The real world justice system has proven completely unwilling to deliver justice for abuse victims so....
“…if it works”-anakin
CALIBRATE YOUR ENTHUSIASM
Should be a Partagaz bot that can tell people that lol
Paging @amber edge to the chat.
that's a sticker
I HAVENT SEEN THE EPISODE YIU NERF HERDER
I was gonna say, spoilers…
handing those out at the meetup. CALIBRATE YOUR ENTHUSIASM.
I feel that Vel and Cinta’s scene kind of telegraphed that something terrible was going to befall either of them. At least that’s how it usually works on other shows.
If I’m not mistaken, Dedra had a “skeptically confident” line which I’ll totally use in RL situations now.
oh it totally did. they made up and made plans for the future. and the "NO ONE HAVE A BLASTER" meant of course he would have a blaster.
Was kinda surprised Vel didn’t slap that stupid kid
Like what did the five fingers say to the face kid
Mute the channel!
Gonna need to wait for SWE and other YouTubers to break down if we saw any new Easter egg items in Luthen’s shop
Or if any of the stuff Kleya overheard on the radio are references to things
I saw some weird claw gloves that made me think of a Starkiller clone accessory.
Yeah they featured those pretty prominently in one shot
Wondering if that’s gonna be some legends deep cut
I need to find that kid’s name just to add to the list of worst SW characters ever…this season has given us him, Moffi and Toffi and Krole
Coruscant daytime TV is a war crime
Not even an apartment renovation show/channel, or Bix certainly would have been watching that
Or a lvl 1313 bar rescue show
1313 Bar Rescue would be insane
I'll take 37 seasons please

A line from him I do so enjoy. And sadly rarely live by.
I am entertained by Luthen giving Bix and Cass that mission to kill Gorst.
Was it a peace offering, a manipulation to reel them back in closer and with more confidence, or was that the mission he was going to give Bix before he found her drug.
At what point did Luthen decide to let them kill Gorst? He obviously knew it would help Bix be “healthy.” And this season has reaffirmed that Luthen is not sentimental.
If you miss her, the actress plays Belinda in the newest season of Doctor Who. She’s fantastic!
I have friends everywhere.
I kept thinking Kleya’s blood was going to drip on the floor and they were going to find it.
https://www.target.com/p/star-wars-inspiration-director-orson-callan-krennic-action-figure/-/A-93566556 sash and soft cape TBS Krennic up for preorder
Something tells me killing Gorst was not a sanctioned hit just like Cassian just showing up at Luthen’s doorstep
They went... Rogue
Link isn’t working for me
Looks like they took it down. Preorders were supposed to open at 1 pm ET but it was available this morning. Might want to try again at 1
Rewatching and just noticed, Cassian has ptsd about shopping 🤦♂️ but I guess that happens when you get a multi year prison sentence just for walking to the corner store
The buildup and backstories are starting to pay off. What an amazing ending to episode 6.
It happens after the beacon.
It also makes sense that that is what Luthen was going to offer earlier.
Showing the beacon before they go do it was purposeful. Also Lonni told Luthen about the Imperial plans. Luthen would know the details. This was absolutely his idea.

Oh and Erskin happily chatting with other senator aides is so cute. I was wondering if we’d get a scene of him updating Mon.
Like here’s the servants’ dish lady Mon.
Omg this one made me snort
#andor spoilers
︀︀
︀︀luthen: you shouldn’t be taking those sleeping drugs, they’re bad for you :/
︀︀
︀︀saw: HUFF THE GAS FUMES MY BOY ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
This three episodes arc stuff is fun. We lose at least one character per arc. But also we get to see at least one rebel faction. I can’t wait to see what we get next.
Really need ghorlectipods in the Creature Stall (preferably with candy inside)
What kind of candy, though? And would it have a fortune like Syril's spider?
Eedy playing with hers after naming it Syril was cute. Mean towards Syril but still cute. I think she could use a pet.
It is working again
“It’s a book” makes me wonder if we would call ebooks books if we never had physical books.
Would we even have that word?
There is so much in these three. I keep thinking of more things! Like Lonni and his relationship to the other Imperial agents.
Uhh what beacon?
I would buy so many ghorlectipods
Another thought it makes sense Syril would enjoy Ghorman so much as his first scene pointed out his tailoring of his corporate security uniform
Luthen’s way of signaling Cassa and Bix was by activating this faint, pulsating light atop a distant building within view of the safe house. Cassa and Bix would regularly look out their window with binoculars to see it
Ah that, I’ll have to rewatch but I didn’t get a sense that was at all connected to them killing Gorst
It makes sense that Lonny would give Luthen or Kleya a heads up about Gorst. Then Luthen/Kleya signal so Cassian and Bix take him out. The theatrics may have been at their discretion
I think the pacing of this season and the cuts from year to year will make rewatches even more rewarding
And that’s one of the reasons Syril seems to be genuinely connecting with the Ghormans.
Eedy’s classicism (and Syril’s need for control due to Eedy’s abuse) means that Syril likes things clean, orderly, well tailored, etc.
Syril could never have empathized with the grubby, orange and yellow clad working class people of Ferrix.
But the people of Ghorman, who dress carefully and make high quality fabrics…that’s another matter.
I agree! I dig it because it feels more grounded in reality. Social engineering, the growth of rebel cells, dealing with PTSD etc are all issues that fester over a long period of time. It’d be jarring if each issue somehow grew to its peak over the span of a few days
I want a stuffed ghorlectipod. The wood doesn't do them justice. Not enough color.
They looked like they were similar to a woven basket to me.
I didn't think they were molts just based on my experience with my tarantula molting, but could have been preserved.
Hmm upon rewatching I guess I was wrong, it does look like maybe Lonnie immediately went to tell Luthen. They didn’t show the meeting but he walks off in a hurry after being told about Gorst’s “promotion”
Sleepy brain got me there at the end of the night
CALIBRATE YOUR ENTHUSIASM
Releasing them one hour earlier would really help lol. But we do what we have to for the Rebellion
But that’s what Cassian meant about promising Bix she’d come with, I figured at the time he meant going wherever he was being sent next and then just never connected that maybe he was being sent to kill Gorst, just figured that was an unauthorised detour on their way to the next place
Also noticed it was not the Chandi Merle that was the forgery, just something else, cause Davo said the guy he bought it from is dead
Search of all his art would have caught the bug, but it wasn’t Luthen selling forgeries
Also, Saw is crazy but he didn’t force Wilmon to take his mask off, just convinced him with an insane speech
So now I worry about what horrible stuff Wilmon is going to have done in a years time
That's what we were saying, it was an entirely different item but they were going to examine everything anyway
Yeah, give their only concern about the bug, it seems Luthen’s stuff is legit
I was just grasping at straws to keep alive my “Luthen was a CIS intelligence agent posing as an art dealer” theory
Doubt they’ll have time, but a look at Luthen’s professional activities could be cool. Imagine him working with a student Doctor Aphra (she’d be about 20?)
And Krennic’s words were “my rebel is your terrorist, something like that?”
I need to rewatch that scene.
And finally, that cake or whatever Gorst had looked really good, shame Bix didn’t take it with her
I was so focused on Kleya. I’m sure there are some gems from the others.
These episodes were really packed.
Layers!
Yeah I 100% was not connecting all the dots by the last episode, but I’m glad I don’t have to dodge spoilers the rest of the week
Hey, missing things the first time makes rewatches even more enjoyable!
Forgot to ask, but what about those with ghorlectophobia?
There’s an app for that.
An app that censors anything Ghorman related on the screen?
Shows pro-imperial ads instead
Or worse, Moffi and Toffi
They just need to understand the Ghorlectibros. because they are bros.
I wonder if in universe that would be an intense fear of Ghorman fabric
Like ahhh miss me on the spider butt shirt
probably not since silk is already a thing
lol true
I still feel like some people would feel they are ghorlectino’s
Look we need to support the Ghorlectipods.
The Empire wants to crack their planet open like an egg.
That’s not cool.
that will release all the baby ghorlectipods
But where will the babies go?
Space?
There’s no bugs to eat in space.
(or finely woven underwear)
I’m just saying this is a conservation issue.
The Ghorman people could try to flee the planet, but the poor spiders can’t.
Maybe that’s how animals evolve to be space based like Purrgill
Now I’m seeing a massive swarm of spiders flying at light speed lol
A win for us ghorlectiphobes
But they're beautiful
How very Imperial of you.
Eedy’s reaction to being given one as a gift was so funny. “Oh I’ll name it Syril and it can be here to neglect me in your place”
Yeah the minute I saw the spiders I was like “Wish the death star was complete rn”
There are plenty of planets in the galaxy without spiders.
You could just go to one of those.
Although I guess some of the spider figurines might find their way to you.
But at least you would get candy.
Like that ice planet Mando went to, oh wait, that has spiders
Dear God
Or Kashyyk! Oh wait they have spiders
Do you count members of that CIS General’s species that live on Tattooine?
…Darnit I used to know what Admiral Trench’s species was called.
looks it up
The Harch
And no I don’t count them.
The Harch and Aqualish are spider people, but not spiders.
There is a rock worrt on tatooine that's more insectoid than the regular worrt, though not really spiderlike
(think that's the rock worrt, anyway)
nightmare Eye of Aldhani
Have we talked about Syril caring (kind of) about his employees?
I think his office being destroyed by the imps will throw him. He seems so happy about his office job and getting to be responsible for a team. A team that he thinks are not in danger of dying like the corpo cops.
I had to edit that three times. Yay oncoming sleep attacks.
I'm really sad about Cinta's death hitting, almost beat for beat, one of the most infamous Bury Your Gays moments in Lesbian film history - Tara on Buffy, down to the girls getting reunited/back together right before and the shot that killed her being an accidental shot by a man who thinks he knows what he's doing. On top of that, Cinta has been SO under-utilized throughout, and Tony Gilroy has talked about her death being to give Vel luggage, plugging her right into the often uninterrogated disposable Girlfriend of Color trope. Our faves let us down sometimes, and this is a biiiiiig let down for me and other Star Wars queers I'm chatting with.
I wonder if it’s because Sethu was filming Doctor Who.
She is a main character on it.
They may have felt the rage from people being angry that Bail was recast and decided not to recast Cinta.
I think it’s 50/50 for Syril, he loves being the top spider in the bureaucrat hive, but he also cares about his coworkers like he did those two cops who died to start the show
He seems to feel like any one working on his side is a fellow solider of the empire regardless of how important the job is
Also I’m sure Vel will be joining Cinta soon.
Gilroy said it wasn't. It was to give Vel "luggage" and show the tragedy of war.
Vel is Mon’s cousin so they need her around just a bit longer.
My guess, she sacrifices herself to help get Mon to safety after her speech
Ooo that sounds plausible.
She can’t die and leave a body for the empire to find without it implicating Mon in some way
So either she gets vaporised or she dies late enough that the empire is already after Mon
I’m hoping it’s the latter and a noble sacrifice
Or she survives and lives somewhere we just don’t see! But hoping any Andor character survives seems foolish.
We know where this is all going (for the most part). The cool thing about the deaths are their symbolism.
Yeah we have seen B2 getting some semblance of an ending where he lives
But I don’t think she’ll go quietly
What kind of character was Brasso? What kind of character was Cinta? At which point did their deaths occur? And how does that reflect upon the state of affairs in this timeline? Etc
True
After how Cinta died I’d bet she’ll want to go out heroically
I could see some characters joining the larger Rebel Alliance as consultants and such. Aiding in all the behind-the-scenes work like finding more sponsors and securing funding, continuing spying efforts, setting up rebel cells else where in the galaxy etc
Pretty much what they’re doing now but under the more unified front
Someone had to help those Bothans get the plans for the second death star😉
That would be nice.
True, as I’d said earlier about it being nice to see the newbie rebels, all those cells like the Ghorman Front and Maya Pei need someone with experience telling them what to do, and them trusting that person
Luthen did have Bix doing appraisals of weapons, so maybe she retires to the blaster farm
Yeah. There are just a number of things this season that feel like a big letdown to me. I've been too busy today to fully process yesterday's eps but... Yeah.
Something I noticed on my rewatch: Despite the fact that Citizen Lezine was not part of the Ghorman Front, he was the one who helped Vel carry Cinta's body away from the crime scene.
Really didn't like Bail recast, but otherwise great arc
I noticed that too, he seems like the grizzled old person willing to step up and lead
He caused the whole thing, but didn’t run, he helped
but had he not been so obstinate in the first place
I don't know, we caught that right away, but it felt weird
Yeah. I bet he felt partially responsible. But I think he realized to an extent what was going on with the disabled transport, and wanted to be a part of it.
He wasn't the one who pulled a blaster though
I’m not sure he wanted to join but more feels honor bound now
Blame rests solidly with the young guy imho.
Intriguingly, Samm, the one who shot Cinta and completely escalated the situation with Lezine is also Syril’s spider guy
Also, Kleya’s brooch/cutting tool to be sold at Dok Ondar’s - when???
But the blaster was pulled on him, and it misfired during his struggle. I would feel guilty too.
Sure, I would too, but I don't think it's his fault. He may share a small part of the blame, but if I'm that dude and someone pulls a weapon on me, I'm not just gonna stand there and get shot
No. Certainly not.
Trinket selling kid is definitely 99% at fault for even bringing the blaster when he’d been singled out by Vel, but the old dude could easily have just walked away like the kid was begging him to
come's home, super platonic kiss. Then we only have an hour. Time for nookie! lmao
And yeah that was…odd
it was so perfectly... them lmao
Barely a peck on the cheek and then, turn off the lights so we don’t see anything
it's Star Wars we aren't gonna get a sex scene
Well I mean more not we as the audience but more like, she doesn’t want to see him naked kind of awkward
nah I don''t think that was it
I dunno I’m bad at relationship stuff, but still a super weird relationship
of course it is, but it's meant to be weird
a lot of relationships are a lot weirder than they seem
True I guess I mean atypical
I agree, but I never thought we'd see an Imperial try to rape somebody either. Andor is not like the rest of Star Wars.
tbh I'm surprised it's taken this long to see it
the Empire is full of evil people, that do despicable things
We’ve only been seeing the worst of the worst, not the day to day evil
tbf there was a strongly hinted at sex scene in S1 with Bix and the other guy. and Cassian goes to a brothel
Lot more shocking to see something that can and does happen in this world
there was a toilet too!
Uh. ROTJ called
Those scenes feel different in the way they are presented but Jabba is absolutely sexually assaulting Leia
He puts her in a bikini, chains her to him, and we see him straight up lick her.
I vote for more toilets in SW
Prince Xixor and his pheromone powered attempts of seduction (of Leia once again) come calling.
As does Kylo’s “I can TAKE WHATEVER I WANT FROM YOU” line which IMO should have probably been rewritten.
There's also the entirety of Courtship of Princess Leia 😬😬😬
Oh and that Zygerrian slave trader episode of TCW. That was, uh, something.
Yeah but we never see them in the act is what I mean
True
But this is two humanoids so it feels a lot more real to us
Andor definitely treats it more seriously
I disagree. Mythrol using the toilet as a excuse to look for a way to escape from Mando felt like a really dumb scene to me. And I believe one of George Lucas's original rules for Star Wars was no toilets. They seem to be breaking a lot of his rules nowadays. Not that they're required to follow his rules anymore, but it is his universe.
I can’t tell if that’s satire.
Ok lets #RealTalk for a minute.
George had no rules. He broke them all the time if he did.
Geroge 100% made shit up on the fly
The rule was “there is oxygen in space…when I want there to be”.
So yeah the rule was that he could do whatever, whenever.
No rules except the Rule of Cool

I rewatched this one bc Kleya’s situation was so tension filled that I didn’t focus on the Mon vs. Krennic repartee. Her delivery of “how pleasant to see you away from the witness stand!” where she slows down during “away” to emphasize “witness stand” was just so
- Ohhhhh what a Death Star blast of a zing!!!! I’d like to think that Perrin, when he complained about having to “pack a year’s worth of insincerity into 3 nights” helped to put Mon into that frame of mind. “What a festive evening” indeed as Krennic put it.
If only we could see those senate committee hearings they mentioned and be treated to more Mothma vs Krennic wordsaber sparring!

That end scene was cathartic
An interesting small point that I heard in an interview with Tony Gilroy - The very brief scene with Bail in the last episode was done intentionally in order to make Bail’s more extended parts in the next episodes less jarring. He wanted a brief introduction to the new actor to ease people into the change.
Just one of a thousand little things they put thought into without the audience ever realizing it.
It kind of flabbergasts me a bit that people are asking “why do this thing, what is the point” about certain things in season 2.
We saw in season 1 of Andor that building foundational elements and layering the plot was very important.
It stands to reason the same process would be applied in season 2.
I guess I just find the lack of faith disturbing. 😅
I'm just sad we don't have thr same actor for Bail
That’s fair.
When I was watching various SW media remotely with my mother during the pandemic, Jimmy Smits was one of the only actors she was very familiar with, so him appearing in anything became a fun inside joke.
But Benjamin Bratt is a good actor, so I am cautiously optimistic.
It will be fine, and I get why they couldn't get him but it is still disappointing
So I just realised, we got absolutely no confirmation that Tay is dead
Mon didn’t even seem to have a beef with Luthen about him
I guess she danced/drank out any feelings she might have had about it
When Cinta said she’d had an accident it made me wonder if it either was a purposeful part of killing Tay (i.e. crashing the speeder and hoping she lives) or something else went wrong
I’m still pretty sure Tay is dead.
The year-long date for the arc time skip and how long ago her accident was 100% makes me think she crashed to kill Tay
Oh yeah, he’s dead
Just, no one said hey, why’s Tay dead
But yeah, I think she staged a speeder crash
It’s been a year, and the only people who would say to Mon “hey remember when Tay died?” would probably be Perrin or Sculdun.
And when we saw all of them, they were all very busy rubbing elbows at parties and such.
Even when she ran into Sculdin they were like “hey, seen our newly married kids?” “Nah”
If it were me, discussing the living, married kids would be a more prominent conversational topic with my son-in-law’s father than discussing a mutual friend who died a year ago.
The kids are people Mon or Sculdun might actually see at some point.
Nobody’s gonna see Tay anymore.
That was both amusing to me they just kinda let them do their own thing but also makes me hopeful Leida is able to distance herself and not get thrown into the imperial meat grinder
Poor pleasure loving Perrin isn’t going to be as lucky to have that chance
But, Sculdin may have resources
Leida’s still going to be in trouble when Mon makes her speech, but yes she has more distance and wiggle room to get away.
I’m wondering if maybe part of her escape is thanks to Sculdin’s resources
He’s definitely got people in his roster who would be slippery enough to get Mon away and then have a forged excuse for how they got hoodwinked if the imperials catch them
Now I’m hoping for this lol, it would be such an appropriate twist that even the underworld/criminals are turning against the empire
Or at least working both sides
That’s another facet I’d not thought of, but I get the feeling the only people willing to do business with the rebels up to this point is Luthen, but maybe that’s changing and the underworld at large is starting to consider the risk/reward. I’m thinking of Benicio Del Toro’s character in the sequels, always kind of took it for granted that people like him sold to the rebellion, but maybe it wasn’t always so
I find it amusing that this AI is advertising for Disney+.
