Long live the Empire!
181st Fighter Squadron TIE pilot, work in progress.
Lineage Sandtrooper restoration.
The First Order demands your compliance.
great picture! who was the photographer?
Some hot guy i met
Threw this together a couple hours before the Rogue One premiere. Jeez, it feels like it was ages ago.
Getting closer! Helmet #2 is now one single piece! Should have both 181st builds done in time for the SW nights coming up in April. An army buddy & I are taking his son for a surprise birthday trip. I'm also building a full Mando foundling kit for him. He has absolutely no idea any of this is happening.
This helmet is amazing.
Thanks. I wish I could say It's all my work, but when I took ownership of it, it was almost as golden yellow as C3P0!! It's been, and will be, a long process to get it back to a proper "sandy" status. It's actually a Dewback rider TD, with the white pauldron.
A little bit closer!
Made some more progress with the dual 181st builds.
The Foundling helmet in the center is for my nephew. We're taking him as a surprise birthday trip. He has ZERO idea that any of this is happening.
Had some fun & took a little creative liberties with what I felt was a proper Disney/Star Wars/WW2 nose art-ish design for our pilot's "Lady Luck" icon... Or in this case, our "Death Star Darling"
Jessica Rabbit, in ISB uniform!
Made 100 3" diameter, & 50 2" stickers, and 50 2.25" diameter buttons.
If youâre in the park on 4/10-12, I should have some left over from the SW Night.
Got a few more things checked off the build list. Laser etched ID plates for the recess on the front of the helmets. "GHOST" for the striped helmet & "RANGER" for the Fangs one.
And on the back of the Fangs helmet, since my buddy was in the 2nd Ranger Battalion...
A nice sharp "Ranger Diamond" complete with an Aurebesh "2" in the center.
Getting closer...
Still some minor finish work to do, but everything lines up & fits decently as is.
Finally⊠aside from fitting the internal pads⊠they are done!! đźâđš đ„”
We havenât even done this yearâs SW night yet & Iâm already starting on next yearâs builds!
U-Wing crew, 2 pilots & a ârecruitâ from the â138th Special Tactics Aviation Regiment (STAR)/Wide-area Rapid Strike Squadron (WARS).â Yes, it took a little creativity, but I couldnât resist making the squadronâs acronym into STAR WARS.
A gathering of the JRS crew at FanExpoSF this past weekend.
And since the fall of the Empire, the grooming standard on officers being clean shaven has kind of relaxed a bit.
This just happened over the weekendâŠ
Itâs one of the original Shoretroopers made for the Rogue One red carpet premiere! The opportunity presented itself (owner is expecting first born - twins - so wife said get rid of things), so I jumped on it asap!!
2nd from right.
Itâs in superb shape, considering itâs now a decade old!

First âtest driveâ of the ST today @ CarrierCon, on the USS Hornet.
