I was trying to have them for the Heroes of the Halcyon party after the final cruise, but I didn’t great them in time. I made a couple hundred, and I think they’ve all been passed out at this point.

I made 300 Forever ribbons, and ran out at the end of Friday. I only made 100 “your journey honored” and I ran out by the end of Friday.

I can’t believe how much and incredible swag people gave out on the con. I had to go to my car to empty my bag a few times.

Agreed. Locking key information in videos and hard-coded into social images is confounding. Any image should also be accompanied by searchable text — standard social media practice for all major brands and events.

(Thankfully screen readers have gotten more sophisticated, so it's not broadly an accessibility issue, but still could be for some.)

I'd love to see subtitles for the vids they put out

The "droid" videos were super cool but I know more than one person who had hearing disabilities who struggled with them

That's not a huge lift to generate too so it should be a super easy fix. For CAPER, we make the step of making transcripts just in case and drop them in comments or do subtitles - it's an extra step, but a pretty small one (even if I do manual and not auto generate, it takes 15 minutes max), and I think it wouldn't be too tricky to do at least for the ones with critical info in them. Even if it's fixable from an end-user perspective too, anything that's a barrier could potentially be a problem for accessibility.

If subtitles or a transcript is too big a lift, which is fair, there's a lot to do - maybe a small bulletpointed list in the comments about the "highlights" from the video or livestream so people don't 100% miss out on info - that'd be a two minute fix that would help a lot of folks out.
