How old is Bo Katan supposed to be by Mando time lol
26 is too young to have even been born when O66 dropped
If that's the character's age
Maybe it’s just an “I adore my mentor/youngling so much that they are like family” kind of thing.
That depends on how old she was when she was in Clone Wars.
She could be a Shapeshifter like the bounty hunter in attack of the clones.
When in doubt I tend to assume the actor's age lol
I wouldn’t necessarily put too much stock into the age of the actress compared to the age of the character. We have no idea.
Not sure if that works with Katee Sackhoff or not, but it's my rule of thumb
That's why I said I hesitate on completely ruling it out lol
That’s the point I was making. Bo Katan in universe is much older than Katee Sackhoff. My understanding from a quick Google search is Bo is late 50s possibly early 60s by the time she appears in Mando
Yeah I literally just googled Katee, only 43
No way it works for her
Like 30 years out from TCW in Mando, and Bo-Katan absolutely was not 13 years old in TCW haha
Except it’s a fictional universe where people have access to better medicine and possibly ways to make themselves appear younger. I mean-
Perhaps she’s one of the Dunedain 😉
ha
You jest, but it’s not that far off?
She’s a character descended from a very old noble family who having lost control of their kingdom becomes a wandering warrior who struggles between the choice to stay away from the fight, and the choice to reclaim her kingdom and position and drive out the dark forces that have invaded it.
That was in response to a comment about Shin being a youngling by Order 66 lol
Lol gotcha, I got mixed up and thought it was about Bo Katan.
The connection between Bo and Aragorn is cool. Definitely the same story arc
Never thought about it
Shin doesn’t seem like she would have been part of the Jedi Temple, even as an infant.
Her conversations with Baylan would be much different if she was. They’re currently framed like the Jedi Temple is Baylan’s legacy alone and Shin has to question him to get any kind of connection to it because she was never part of it in any capacity.
I don’t think she was a youngling during Order66. I like @sudden minnow theory that maybe she’s his daughter. I don’t think we know enough about either character to make an accurate guess either way on that one, but it’s a cool idea imo
I agree there’s not enough evidence to say one way or the other.
I do prefer to think she’s not his biological child, but a child he found at an extremely young age and decided to raise and train.
Her not being his blood doesn’t preclude him from caring deeply about her, and ||becoming enraged when Ahsoka threw her||.
Especially if she’s been with him since she was an infant or a toddler.
Totally, connection between them doesn’t have to mean blood for it to be deep
She doesn't necessarily have to be in her 20s in TCW. In fact, I wouldn't be shocked if she was 16-17 when recruited into Death Watch.
Gotta remember. TCW didn't exactly shy away from the fact that there are CHILD SOLDIERS.
16-17 wouldn't even cause people to bat an eyelid 80 years ago. They might make you hang on until you were 18 before sending you into combat with a rifle, but you can serve on a ship just fine.
All speculation but based on a little Google research TCW drops some hints that Bo and Satine were pretty close in age, only a few years apart, put together with Bo’s initial appearance as a combat vet, and the way she was animated and I’d say late teens to mid 20s personally but could also be 16 as it’s never stated directly. I don’t really think any of that matters tbh. The point is that actors age and characters age may not correlate but it doesn’t necessarily matter in the SW universe anyway as the rules of that universe including medicine, technology, and genetics could be different. I joked before about the Dunedain but as @solid rune pointed out it could be less of a joke. Perhaps long ago clan Kryze mixed with some near-human beings that had long life and aged slowly… That’s my new headcanon anyway
Honestly, we very rarely get exact ages for characters. We know that Ahsoka was 14 when she was sent to Christophsis to begin training under Anakin. We know that Luke, Leia, and by extension Ezra were 19 by the time of the Battle of Yavin. We know Padme was 14 when she was elected Queen and Anakin was 9 when he was found on Tatooine. Everyone else is mostly guesswork.
We know a lot more specific character ages than those 5 through various sources, guides, and other media, but that’s neither here nor there and a bit off topic
Sounds like the ending of another Star Wars media piece that “everyone hated”.
Shin was definitely not ever in the temple - ||in their ep6 convo Baylan calls Ezra a Bokken Jedi who grew up in the wilds, to which Shin replied “like me?”||
Unless that’s just what Baylan told her 😉
I don't buy that tbh
But also, it's not implausible that she's in her late 50s
Ming-Na Wen is 59
I never said it was implausible in fact I argued the opposite lol
I forget who was asking but here is another and clear picture of the belt.
I like the idea of Baylan's belt being held on by the Force.
It does quite look like a kyber crystal in that picture, doesn’t it
I like Baylan a lot. He's one of the "bad guys" but he isn't a sith, hasn't even really fell to the darkside, and has his own agenda separately from the other bad guys
I also dig their medieval knight style of clothing
And she’s still hot.
What kind of ride are we in for tomorrow!??!!?!
Another really good one today IMO. I dunno how they wrap up this story in the one ep we have left, so I'm kinda hoping that they don't and it ends in such a way that it sets up where the Filoni movie is going to start
That's what I'm wondering. Season 2 or movie setup
it does.even has a hint of green to it
So... I just woke up from dreaming about being Ivanna's body guard for several hours. Started out with her just wanting me to drive her to the airport. Ended up in me being her personal body guard. Dreams are strange but fun.
New episode today will be at the usual time right?
Yes
Finale. Just finished. Lots to digest.
One of our favorite themes we’ve ever done, for Baylan. #Ahsoka

All hail blue Dex
😢
God damnit :"(
A goddamned legend
I find it interesting that this show has a title crawl where most of them don't and it's not the same as the traditional crawl either
(besides the red color)
I feel like having a crawl of any type was another part of Dave Filoni repeating lines/details from older SW productions as an homage.
Also, much like the OT that started it all, Ahsoka S1 is kind of the middle of the story?
Because Rebels came before, and more Ahsoka seasons/Filoni’s movie will come after.
So a crawl is appropriate to explain this middle part of the story.
And set the stage.
Which is a more ominous, spookier stage than the original opening crawl structure.
So yeah, do a red crawl with the text off to the side. 😄
Daft moment: reading the text above and thinking to myself 'no way, I definitely remember there being a red opening crawl somewhere. Google, and realize that Ahsoka's was exactly the one I was thinking of 🤦♂️ 😂
There were red episode number titles for the final episodes of The Clone Wars.
And iirc the first episode Maul appeared
maybe not so hot take - Sabine's version of the saber > Ezra's
(doing a rewatch of the show)
just realized that the shuttle Baylan and Shin use is the same type of shuttle that Obi-Wan, Anakin and Ahsoka use when they arive on Mortis
Eta-class, showed up a bunch in TCW
yeah but it's use here is definitely intentional, especially given how old it would be by now
also Baylan on Ahsoka "to kill her would be a shame, there are so few Jedi left"
It's definitely the shuttle Baylan had on his last mission and he escaped Order 66 in it.
Also 100% agree, but I'm biased as my custom SaberForge samer has a similar emitter shroud.
Feels empty without a new episode
I'm doing a rewatch, on EP3 now
I like how the enemy fighters look like MiG-15's
evokes the dogfight style of space flying that GL wanted in the OT
I got a kind of truncated Brewster Buffalo from them.
Lengthen them a bit and flip the tail upwards and you've got the basic shape.
I was briefly reminded of Crimson Skies
I wish I got that game back in the day. It's such a weird universe.
I'm sure I could track down some TT rules somewhere, and I think Ral Partha Europe still sell the minis.
Yup, and they still have some sourcebooks and maps.
MUST RESIST
I played the online XBOX version for a long time, it was a fantastic game that really nailed the balance of "arcade" flying while still allowing some "realistic" flying to outfly your opponent. Very well balanced ship/weapon choices, and I loved the overall aesthetic. I really deserved a series but got caught up in some corporate reshuffling. There was an AMA of one of the lead devs on reddit years ago and it seemed like one of those projects where they had a fantastic team that really loved it.
It's even more complex than that. It was one of the casualties of Harmony Gold sueing FASA out of existence, so MS were left owning a licence to make video games of a dead franchise that was way more niche than BattleTech or Shadowrun.
Plus then you have to take the MS gamedev problems of that era into consideration, which is basically a guarantee that an IP will sit unusued for years before being licenced out to whoever asks.
The sad thing is that it a followup would have had mass-market appeal. it was a very low barrier to entry kind of game - easy to play, hard to master.
I think the genre was on the downward slope at that point sadly.
Hnnnnnng
I hope we get an "Art of Ahsoka" book
Same
It looks like Sabine was supposed to have her jetpack. Filoni must've realized how many issues that would've trivialized.
https://twitter.com/starwars/status/1712934682009174426 Putting this here because of spoiler costumes
I mean… that’s probably not completely wrong…
Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren don't want to work together, and they'll sigh their way across two galaxies because Dave Filoni thinks you still have a hard-Thrawn for the cartoons. All that and more on the least exciting Disney+ Star Wars concept since Grogu and Dust Bunnies on this week's Honest Trailer!
►►Before you play the new Spider-Man game ...
Ok so after rewatching one of the best episodes SW television history (Shadow Warrior) I have some thoughts.
It's 100% Anakin, not a dream, not a near death vision, it's actually Anakin through the Force
Why didn't Ahsoka take Jacen as an apprentice? Obviously we know that Sabine is capable using the Force to some extent now but Jacen has much more potential imo
Maybe she doesn’t want to repeat the mistakes that she lived through?
Like, she didn’t have a choice about becoming a Jedi, spent her teenage years as essentially a child soldier leading other child soldiers, right up till the day the Order betrayed her over something she didn’t do…looking back on that and deciding that the Order’s approach is wrong and a trainee shouldn’t be a kid?
Or maybe she asked but Hera said no?
yeah I'm sure there's a valid reason, I just want to know what lol
also I really appreciate Hu Yang's Metropolis styling
There may be something to that. When Jacen told Hera that he wanted to be a Jedi, you could tell on her face that she had conflicting feelings about that.
I know in my own fic I have a mom turning down an offer for her kid to become a Jedi because the kid is like five and she wants the kid to be able to make her own choices as an adult
Ends up saving the kid's life, since that offer came from Luke and we all know what happened to Luke's temple :/
I love that!

Disney continues to pump out content onto Disney Plus after massive investments into making Star Wars and Marvel streaming series a thing. They are now… a thing. Ahsoka starring Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka ...
Love the show, but this was hilarious.
Found this artwork of clone wars Baylan from Uzuri Art on Facebook
I saw it on Twitter X.
I don't have that anymore
“When I was a bit older than you are now, I watched everything I knew burn…”
Srsly I would love to see a Baylan Tales of the Jedi - start with surviving Order 66 and an episode how he finds Shin would be great
I wonder if Baylan is the sort of person that Bardan Jusik would’ve become if he’d remained in the Order instead of joining up with Kal Skirata’s clan
YES PLEASE'
Seeing more and more rumors that Disney has green lit a season 2. Anyone want to lay odds or play over/under on when it will be officially announced?
Probably not until the actors strike is over
Hopefully that will be soon. They’re back at negotiations today.
Since I can't post these in the non ge lightsabers due to spoilers I'll post it here. New from korbanth
loving all the BTS pics
Man, I love how much of huyang is practical
Huyang is delightfully practical.
And while I know they didn’t actually stuff David Tennant inside of Huyang (or have him hide behind the chair) for fun I like to pretend they did.
It's funny how Rosario's double looks more like Ahsoka than she does lol
New Vanity Fair article. Filoni is now Chief Creative Officer and lots of good Ahsoka content:
https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2023/11/star-wars-ahsoka-dave-filoni
FWIW I think these two excerpts lend significant credence to the idea that she wasn’t actually in the WBW. But as they state, it’s not definite
Honestly, that’s more or less exactly how I feel. I don’t think she was “actually” there, but it was obviously real to her in that it had life or death consequences and changed her spiritually. And like Filoni says in the article, “You have people in your life that I’m sure have inspired you. And you feel that all the time. You feel that when you need it.””
I do agree that force ghost Anakin was there purely for Ahsoka.
His consciousness that is one with the force only re-emerged into individuality for the specific purpose of helping her.
That’s why it wasn’t an “Anakin what do you have to say for yourself?!” situation where he was being called to account for his actions in life.
His sins and virtues were only relevant in relation to getting Ahsoka back on her feet.
I tend to get kinda simplistic with this stuff. Situations like Harry, Gandalf, and Ahsoka I view as whatever mystical power bringing their consciousness where it needs to be in that moment. Was it happening in her mind definitely, but from an ethereal perspective she was imo on another plane of existence that manifested for her as the physical WBW. Whether the Anakin we saw was actually Anakin or a projection of Ahsokas is immaterial to me personally as he served his purpose in her journey at that moment making him as real as he needed to be
I like this. Can’t really disagree with anything you said
There's an entire set of Elric novels that occur in the middle of another novel where he spends a few pages being the figurehead of a pirate ship as torture. We learn literally 30 years later IRL that he was projecting his mind into alternate realities (this makes sense in context, just go with it) and basically ends up learning how to free himself from his teen self who was also doing some reality-hopping shenanigans. The whole "you are near death and it brings you knowledge from other places" trope is a long a storied one.
And it’s not new to SW either
Yeah, arguably hypothermia brings Luke way more into tune with the force.
“this makes sense in context, just go with it”
An extremely Star Wars sentence
Yup
If I start explaining how many of the same character show up and what the timeline involved is like it gets way too silly. Also I'll forget stuff.
Like this includes a bit where he accidentally defeats Hitler.
I absolutely believe that it was truly Anakin
Totally valid and could have been. Like I said for me it just doesn’t matter either way. He gave her what she needed to continue the journey.
I am squeeing a bit that Hayden is talking about the World Between Worlds. Like he's seen Rebels. He probably hasn't. But it's enough to make me fangirl over it.
Let me see if I can find a source, I’m almost positive he said he watched TCW + Rebels before filming Ahsoka and OWK
https://ew.com/tv/star-wars-obi-wan-kenobi-darth-vader-hayden-christensen-clone-wars-rebels/
He also watched Twilight of the Apprentice several times in preparation for the OWK finale with the cracked helmet
https://collider.com/obi-wan-kenobi-finale-hayden-christensen-darth-vader-comments/
Ray did such a good job.
What's interesting there is that Filoni didn't seem to get what Stevenson was doing there, even if it was so damn effective.
I'm not looking though the server or anything but I heard the show isn't good because it's slow paced. Besides being slow, do y'all like the show? I'm on the fence about watching it. I love ahsoka though.
It's got issues, but it's an overall fun watch.
The little character moments are great, and there is some really wonderful stuff towards the end that it'd be a shame to miss.
? What
It’s great
Stevenson was a hardcore method actor.
In a way Filoni was, probably unintentionally, trying to get him to break character there.
So it’s not that Filoni didn’t understand what Rey was doing, it’s that Filoni was remarking on how Rey’s method was for Rey to buy completely into Baylan’s hype.
Thanks!
It is a continuation of Ahsoka’s journey and personal development. If you like Ahsoka as a character you will enjoy watching her ups and downs.
To me the quote reads as Filoni not having experience with that kind of actor, but it's still coparatively early days for his live action directing/showrunning so I'm sure he'll get it eventually. Or not, and just keep hiring really great talent. Either way it seems to work out.
Yes, it’s working out.
What Dave Filoni does have experience with allows him (and has allowed him) to create his flavor of Star Wars.
Which I think has been very good Star Wars.
His work has Star Wars themes, and connected story beats, and you can feel the care and attention to detail.
Which interestingly is also why Andor was so good, even though Tony Gilroy put together a completely different flavor of Star Wars story.
Both Dave Filoni and Tony Gilroy have made use of what they know and have expertise in, and also ensured their respective projects involved other participants whose knowledge was listened to, and would fill in the gaps of what the as showrunners had less experience with.
So yeah I think we’re in good hands. 🙂
I didn't enjoy the broad strokes plot of Ahsoka TBH, but a lot of the individual episodes were great and did interesting things. I feel like Filoni is a great guy to flesh out a broad outline, but not necessarily the best at having a story he wants to tell himself. Feels uncomfortably like my own efforts at writing TBH.
It's not slow? I don't know who is out there saying that, but the show is probably one of the better paced of the Disney+ Star Wars shows, IMO.
Ita definitely the best paced SW show
Mando felt a bit slow. BoBF was all over the place, and Kenobi was too fast
Actually I take that back, Andor is right there with it
Andor is very weirdly paced unless you know that it's three-episode arcs and done very deliberately to mess with you, I think. It's extremely effective in messing with you though.
Andor was probably my favorite live star wars series so far, having not seen ahsoka yet
BoBF my opinion is probably in the minority but I preferred the half that was the flashback scenes in the desert
TBH I think that's a pretty common opinion. The flashback was really interesting, and when it turned into Mando season 2.5 it was kind of a different show. The rest of it was kind of weak and confused because Disney tried to make a hero out of a villain and couldn't show a crimelord doing crimes.
Don't go into Ahsoka expecting Andor. It's a very different kind of show. I'm kind of surprised Disney were okay with Gilroy telling the story he did and drawing on the historical events he did to tell it.
No, but based on what y'all are saying, I now hope for similar quality being better than the other series
The flashbacks were pretty good, but the rest was a disaster. They had some really cool moments to set up great story and then promptly wasted it with stupidity
Just finished watching Ahsoka yesterday, I don't know how to feel about it.
It just felt weird and forced to see Sabine as a force sensitive individual, I think it simply erases the essence of her character.
It's perfectly in line with George Lucas's views on the Force and Kanan even briefly touched upon it in Rebels when debating with Hera over teaching Sabine to use the Darksaber.
My personal headcanon is that because the force clearly has a capital P Plan for Ahsoka (and by extension her apprentice) once Sabine reconciled with Ahsoka and got in the right headspace, the force was like “Okay we can expedite your access a bit during this emergency situation.”
Being in a life threatening situation tends to expedite the "discovery" of Force pulling a lightsaber to your hand.
That too.
And some question Sabine using the Force to propel Ezra towards the Chimera, but unlike Luke, she knew that was possible because she'd seen Kanan and Ezra pull off the Force Leapfrog technique at least a couple of times.
Good old Rebels callbacks. 😊
I imagine Sabine will still have to keep training and keep committing herself to the light, just like any Jedi would.
She’s still an apprentice.
But if there’s anything we know from Star Wars, it’s that force training is not a one size fits all curriculum. Everyone gets different lessons, and figures it out at different speeds.
Also the force clearly has a will of its own and is totally biased, so why wouldn’t it give an extra boost to the grand-apprentice of the chosen one?
…admittedly the thought does make me indignant on behalf of Chirrut Imwe, who had to hone his skills patiently over years and years.
But ironically I don’t think Chirrut would be too upset about it.
“All is as the force wills it.”
That sort of thing.
I'm fine with it because we watched 7 episodes of her struggling to use it and get into the right mindset
8 if you count her training under Kanan.

EZRA NOOOOO 💀
I guess Murley’s a boy since Dave Filoni used male pronouns
Random question: where is Sabine's helmet by the end of the events atop the spire/Nightsister tower? Trying to figure out where to display the minifig's helmet. 🙂
Nevermind, it was discarded off to the side. She picks it up just before she and Ahsoka run for the shuttle.

I don’t know if I saw this in entertainment chat
But hooray
HOORAY
Supposedly we've gotten Baylan's replacement, going to be the guy who played The Hound in GoT
I like it
Have to wait and see if it's true or not but guess according to the insider that heard the news he was given the thumbs up by Stevenson's late wife. He's gonna need a wig though lol
He will also need a lightsaber.
I assume they will give him both. 😅
Have to say it's not exactly the most expected casting, but he did a great job as the Hound and I'm looking forward to it.
Not many actors that are actually taller than Ray to fill such a big character
I didn’t think I saw the semblance until I happened upon this insta post
I think the toughest for him will be replicating Ray’s voice
He’ll look convincing enough I think, but will he sound like Ray is the thing
With any recasting, especially in a role that became so iconic, I'm not so worried about the voice. It's really the rest of the mannerisms - the way they carry their shoulders, the gait, the speech patterns. That's what really seems to bridge 2 actors playing the same character.
Of course Filoni and other writers have an opportunity for some event to so drastically change the character that they could give Rory the chance at his own take on Baylan.

I love that we’ll (possibly) get more Clone Wars flashbacks
Far fetched, but I would lose my shit if we saw some of the Mortis arc made live action
Live action Father/Son/Daughter would be awesome
Yes it would be.
The more I think about it though, it’s the only way they’ll be able to explain the Mortis stuff to viewers who haven’t seen clone wars
Baylan is clearly after them/something related to the trio, and Ahsoka has had Moraii following her around ever since those clone war episodes
I so want to see Ewan in obi’s clone war armor outfit
Yeah a live action version of that would be really cool
Yeah it was great seeing Hayden in the CW Anakin outfit
Hayden clearly put the effort in to make his performance an amalgamation of live action Prequels Anakin and animated Clone Wars Anakin, and it absolutely paid off.
Hopefully Ewan will do the same
I’m definitely way too excited about the flashback possibilities for Season 2.
It’s too far out to be excited, and they probably won’t do everything I’m thinking about.
But still
but still indeed
👀👀👀
Sounds like Shin giving Sabine and Ahsoka a hard time, while Baylan is walking all the way to [REDACTED].
What the REDACTED!? You can’t leave us hanging like that
/removing redacted
[heck if I know]
lol I was just kidding
I’ve discovered from book club meetings I’m a rookie in sense of humour compared to you 😝
Honestly I just wing it.
And totally don’t crack jokes because it’s the only way I know how to communicate. 👀😅
Same here, except usually most of my jokes are only funny in my head
Wrong A-named show thread me thinks 😝
Yay Jedi pants
slightly higher res image
Send the wig/hair people an exotic fruits basket, they did great. 😊
Yeah, the beard in s1 really threw me off, but clean shaven and with non-hobo hair he’s a perfect match
I get what you mean but I did like the beard.
It helped showed he was older.
And that he’d been living in a mobile trailer park with space crabs for the better part of a decade.
Oh yeah it was appropriate, just never thought he looked like Ezra
But 100% looks like him once cleaned up
God I want a Swarzy jacket so bad
Wait is that what the type of jacket is?
Swarzy is not a brand
It is simply a shortening of "star wars-y"
Star Wars just has a certain aesthetic that includes very cool jackets
Ohh💀😭 I literally googled it and a couple of jackets just showed up 🤣
