Literally screaming!!!
Andor S2 Special spoilers
More context: It’s an old item in the background.
Certainly looks like it, just without some paint
New poster!
The road to rebellion.
Andor Season 2 is streaming April 22 only on @disneyplus.
4520
gods the Andor S2 hype is very real
That’s my secret, I’m always hyped for Andor.
sigh So Brasso is going to die first episode. Bix is in that poster but not him.
My love is death.
If it’s any consolation, the titular character is also going to be dead soon after the Season 2 finale.
But we knew that already.
If you stop the movie before the end they’re all fine!
You’re right. I knew what I was getting into. But the heart wants what the heart wants.
Diego Luna and the cast take us behind the scenes of Andor Season 2.
Stream the series April 22, only on Disney+.
Screenshot from the video, like eleven seconds from the end.
He’s not just reprising the voice, Alan Tudyk did come back to do the mocap! 🤩
While it’s not one to one, George Lucas definitely was not inspired by any organizations with the initials V C. I assume.
Andor is an allegory for various world politics / events at different times and places throughout history.
As is the rest of Star Wars.
If people see modern political ideologies or laws reflected in Star Wars stories, then they see them.
This made me grin and also sad.
Excellent gif use!
I agree that would not be a 1:1 comparison.
A better comparison to someone concerned about the outcome of an election would be Palpatine’s successive power grabs in Episodes 1, 2 and 3.
Rule breaking. Mods?
You are insulting server members.
Your choices to disrespect others are on you. Not me.
I'm constantly worried that the long-time successful governments of the world are going to deteriorate and create a situation similar to Palpatine's rise to power. My concerns about this started when the insurrectionists stormed the American Capitol. I was nowhere near the event, but I was still terrified.
Yesssssssss. Love that ship so much.
If there isn't a ship for it in the xwing table top game there damn sure should be...
So if this is Les Mis, do we want Syril to have a dramatic epiphany, sing a song, and then ||drown himself?||
Maybe just the first n third lol
oh no I want the song
How about Syril sings a song, and then ||instead of jumping into a river like Javert, he drowns by putting his face in a bowl of cereal.||
I love where this is going
As Sithy is my girl and Syril is her man, I am obliged to say
If he is to be murdered, may it be by her hand.
Holding him under.
lol
Join the Andor cast and series creator Tony Gilroy in a LIVE Q&A revisiting the first season on the @DisneyPlus, Star Wars, and @hulu YouTube channels on Thursday, March 13 at 12PM PT.

Reminds me of what Paul Thomas Anderson said about the idea of chasing a theme
He thinks that kind of thinking results in mental blocks/stifled creativity, and so he thinks creating interesting characters should come first and let them guide where the story should go
So its not really about chasing a grand message and thus falling into predictable beats on how to execute said message
Perhaps this is why Andor had excellent 1-3 line background characters.
I know there weren’t a lot of foreground aliens, but honestly I was very contented in season 1 with folks like the Narkina 5 Devonshire-accented fishermen.
And Dr. Quadpaw
And of course, Vetch.
I accept the lack of aliens as a allocation of budget
Just cuz the movie is also filled with so much culture and diversity in its own right
Gilroy felt the plight of aliens in the Imperial era wasn’t his story to tell.
But we also know the Empire was human supremacist, with all the focus on Andor being a Kennari, I think the intended read is that the marginalization of non-humans has exacerbated other forms of discrimination.
And plus, those two aliens are the first thing Cassian saw after escaping Imperial prison!
I’d accept him as my savior.
I dreampt the first three episodes last night. Which is a fun odd feeling upon waking up.
Like oh that wasn’t… well then.
In an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue, Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.
Season 1, Episode 1, ""Kassa"" follows Cassian Andor's reckless search for answers about his past makes him a wanted man. Watch all episodes of Andor Season 1 streaming on Disney+ and streaming on Hulu until Apr...
This artist is too hard on themselves. We've seen a few seconds of Mon Mothma dancing from Andor Season 2, because it doesn't come out for another 1 1/2 months! All we have is the trailer and a handful of promotional clips. And yet, the artist said they were too slow. I strongly disagree. They should have taken MORE TIME and waited for the season to come out. What if there's a detail that's worthy of the artwork that Disney hasn't released to the public yet?
waiting for "more details" is a trap that usually results in art just not getting made
don't ask me how I know, k, thx
(sometimes things do have to stew but usually if you have an idea and are excited to work on it... just do it! process over perfection! make stuff! share it! make more stuff!)
It is beautiful and I love the symbol.
That seems illogical to me, but my art skills are equivalent to those of a toddler. 🤣 I can't draw anything recognizable unless I have a guide and possibly a grid. So, I wouldn't have any experience with what you're talking about.
Perfection is the enemy of the good. If you don't make art, you don't get better at making art.
Art also doesn't need to be an exact replica of something we see on screen—of course there is artistry in recreating something perfectly, but most of the time that kind of misses the point of art.
Art is interpretation and expression
It's symbolism and theme
You bring your own unique experiences to the drawing/page/sculpture/music/etc.
And you make something no one else can make.
I once did a watercolor First Order Stormtrooper. It only turned out well because I had a guide from starwars.com. I usually don't even bother with art that's based on something from my life. It's usually something from a fandom I'm a part of. And like I said, I usually try to find a guide.
@spice dagger Something I am good at is creating stories. I say creating rather than writing because I can imagine complex stories in my head, and even visualize what it would look like on TV, but if I try to turn it into a short story or a book, it never sounds right to me. I write it down, and it's not good enough for me. Like maybe the character dialogue doesn't have enough depth. That's my most common self-criticism. I sometimes try again, but most of the time, I just scrap the idea, and sometimes just tell it to someone verbally to get the idea out there. Is there something else I should be doing in a situation like that?
Doing my Andor rewatch for S2, and just finished The Eye, and three things came to mind
- this episode is absolutely fantastic. The tension throughout cut with a mostly mellow score is 👌
- I think someone mentioned it here recently, but in the S2 trailer ||with Mon dancing, they thought it would be cut against a desperate mission.|| I hadn’t remembered but this is very much how this episode is with the Aldhani’s viewing the Eye
- I hadn’t remembered or noticed the fist time but Mon mentions the Ghormans 👀
Have you taken any writing classes or studied the craft of writing fiction at all? That's generally a good place to start.
No. I could try that. Do you live near Batuu East? If you do, do you have any recommendations for somewhere to take classes like that?
I do not. This is getting pretty far afield from Andor, but we can take it to #off-topic-chat-and-meta
K
I like how masterfully well mixed and paced this show is. But I do wonder what it would be like to watch all the Mon Mothma scenes back to back.
Yeah, knowing it was a Disney decision to air three/week and not Gilroy, I would expect each episode to hit the way they did in S1, so it could be a lot
Honestly might just watch one per night
This is reasonable.
My brain is less reasonable.
And insists that all available content must be consumed immediately.
In prep for Andor Season 2 I have been watching a whole bunch of reaction videos and highlight reels. One I just watched was on Luthen's escape from the Cantwell-class Arrestor Cruiser. I know it's an unpopular opinion but I am hoping that Luthen turns out to be a Jedi. Not because I need a Jedi in all of my Star Wars media. But because of his speech to Lonni. About the destruction of his soul to make a better future. It's just that it's even more sad if it comes from a Jedi. A person who can feel the light side of the Force flowing through them, uplifting them, and holding them. And they turn away from it, sever that connection. All to save people, communities, and governments that will never know of the sacrifice. It would be like blinding yourself to save people you've never met.
I’m likely there. More just with time
Andor is harder to consume than other installments of Star Wars, if you take my meaning. What I did with Season 1 was watched episodes immediately when they dropped but watched them several more times before the next drop to make sure I was taking everything in. I plan to do that again.
I think that would be overkill in several ways.
- Andor doesn't need a Jedi to carry the plot like some Star Wars shows do.
- Luthen is already doing just that. He's cutting himself off from things he knows and loves for the greater good. The force is not one of those things (that we know of), but the same concept still applies.
I did/do the same with most shows. Immediate watch where I’m purely focusing on the main stuff, then a few rewatches where I can catch smaller details happening on the side/in the background
It’s why I enjoy shows like the expanse where there’s like no limit to the smaller and smaller details that just blow your mind they had the care to put in
Skeleton Crew had a lot of those little background references to other stuff that was great
I think Luthen being a Jedi would be an active disservice to the story, average people having to make due in a world where they don't have magic powers is crucial.
I could not agree more
My headcanon is that he was in some way involved with the Separatists.
My hope is he was a separatist intelligence officer/spy on Corustant posing as this high end antiques dealer
So he was already sort of in the game, just switched to hating the empire and working with people who used to be his enemies
He’s got some deep relationship with Saw, he’s gotta have some involvement in the clone wars. I highly doubt he was just a rich people toy seller who decided he didn’t like Palpatine
I’m also okay with never getting a clear picture of who he was and why he decided to become Axis.
Yeah, dying with a hint that now only Mon knows who he really was and his motives would be super interesting
One of those things that might be more interesting left unexplained so you can speculate
People like mysteries.
When we get an answer, we say “oh, neat” and move on.
But single a tease of some far off event like the Clone Wars in the original movie can sustain decades of fan speculation.
He’d be the ultimate glup shitto lol
Was K-2SO's voice altered by his reprogramming? He's the only droid I've ever heard who has Alan Tudyk's voice. Several droids of the same model appeared in Andor, but they were clearly voiced by someone else. And there was even one in Jedi: Fallen Order that had a feminine voice. It was a boss fight on Kashyyyk. It tries to stop you from rescuing the Wookiees from an Imperial prison. That was probably the easiest boss fight I've had so far. It was kind of amusing actually...
It seems plausible that it was altered in the reprogramming process.
We will have to wait and see what happens in Season 2 in order to confirm it.
But also remember Rule of Cool.
Also practically so you can tell him apart from other K2s. It must be a usual but standard voice profile, since when undercover Imperials don’t find it strange.
Could be if there were at least two different voice patterns for them between the ones we saw in s1 and the Jedi games they probably didn’t question it until his eccentricity shined through
Also a healthy dose of the (racism?) most people in the Star Wars universe displayed towards droids
Like how in the Kenobi show the kids laughed at young Leia for treating the protocol droids like they were a person and thanking them
Most imperials might just not give enough a crap to question a different voice coming from the K droid
I think bigotry works well in this context
but it's clear certain types of people in the Star Wars universe view droids as unthinking tools meant to serve them and nothing more
so why should they pay attention to droid personality quirks? to them, the droid is just there to do a task.
Yeah, like at the end of rots when Bail is just casually like “oh and destroy everything that makes 3P0 his current personality”
Kinda disturbing how easily people accepted wiping the mind of a droid
Like, in that case it certainly had a point since he knew way too much
But still
Droids are a huge gray area that the collective Star Wars franchise has only nicked the surface of.
Allegorically, they are the bottom rung of real world society. Slaves and peasants at worst, servants and substitutions (like the therapy droid in Mando season 3) at best.
But within the galaxy itself, they’re not a 1:1 with organics because they come to life with abilities babies do not have, and as long as they have maintenance and don’t get wiped or damaged they are basically immortal.
So there’s multiple different angles that they can be explored as a concept.
Some of them ethically questionable.
But for me personally, the bottom line is that character-wise, the droids we come to love all have strong personalities that they express through sound, speech, and movement.
And that’s what makes them so enjoyable.
Huyang is basically the model of the immortality bit, but yeah they all have such unique personalities and mannerisms.
Some in the HR books are fun too, like Ram’s droid V19
And Gonky with his gonk-ing
That's why C-3PO's red arm is so heartbreaking if you know the whole story. No spoilers here because I'm not sure if you've read The Phantom Limb. If you want a link, the Star Wars Audio Comics YouTube channel has done a voiceover.
I do know the story of 3PO losing his arm, and yes the ||philosophical discussions|| and ||scraps of memory flashbacks|| are topical to the discussion of droid existence.
Finally got IndyWife to watch the first 3 episodes of Andor S1 and she loved it!
it's so not what you expect from a SW
It’s like how I explained Skeleton Crew to my parents, it’s a good story that just happens to occur in the Star Wars universe
I think that's exactly how Adria Arjona (actress for Bix) described Andor in the Special Look featurette for Andor Season 2.
Like word-for-word, I mean.
Probably where I got that from lol, I didn’t use those exact words to my parents
http://press.disneyplus.com/news/next-on-disney-plus-april-2025 6 PM PT release time confirmed
New movies and series available in April 2025, including the highly anticipated premiere of Season 2 of "Andor,""Doctor Who," and "Light & Magic" as well as new episodes of "Daredevil: Born Again" and daily live programming of "SC+." In April, Disney+ standalone subscribers will also have access to a sampling of Hulu and ESPN content.
Dang, yeah definitely not going to be able to watch all three episodes that drop in one sitting then
(Which means I’ll probably end up brewing a pot of caf and staying up lol)
100% chance at least one episode if not the first two end on cliffhangers that make you feel like you need to keep watching
I’m going to need some Yoda energy to get through all 3
Or just accept 3 days in a row
YODA ENERGY.
I BELIEVE IN YOU
I can’t keep myself from seeing spoilers over the course of three days too lol, another reason to stay up late watching all three
Content creators will watch all three and then start making analysis videos to put up the next morning
No chance I watch more than 1 the first night.
I guess it is only 4 weeks right?
Yep, 3 a week for 4 weeks. I feel bad for the mods who’ll have to police spoilers once it hits week 3. Everyone is going to have a different pace of watching
Fortunately people can just avoid the channel threads.
Yeah that should contain most
Which thinking of, will we have channels for each episode and then maybe a megathread for the whole 3 episode arc?
I'm not sure a megathread for each arc would give anything that each normal episode thread wouldn't, since 3-6-9-12 would function as that
True
I finished S1 again last night
I think I get so overwhelmed with hype for Luthen's speech in E10, I forget how good the finale is
Husband
I just finished EP10. Such a great episode
right? it's incredible
ONE. MORE. TRAILER.
Welcome to the rebellion.
Watch the new trailer for the critically acclaimed series, Andor. The final season streams April 22, only on Disney+.
KEY ART KEY ART KEY ART
K2 casually smacking an imperial off a walkway is just perfect lol
And definitely looks like Bix recovered from the brain scramblies
I cannot stop watching it
Luthen’s “then it’ll burn brightly” is pretty ominous
I'm thinking anyone || in Andor that we don't see in R1 doesn't survive the show.||
Oh yeah, everything is pointing towards ||everyone that isn’t there in r1 hasn’t just retired to fish for joopas||
I appreciate Melshi’s inclusion in this art.
||LET B2-EMO FISH FOR JOOPAS||
||they ded||
I know but
Ok that’s one exception
I mean it could be worse, ||they could show Bee doing the Fry’s dog thing forever 😭😭😭||
Dude
Yeah ok that is worse.
It is too early on Monday for that feels trip.
I agree, totally not my fault
Lol
For a (slightly) less emotional observation, ||does anyone think this might be Eriadu||?
Maybe, I’m wondering what this place is
Also, is Mon’s line “the monster will come for us all” a part of her big speech? They definitely keeping hinting we’ll see it
My guess as well!
I believe it is! I’d be shocked if they don’t include it
It definitely feels like she’s going to get an epic monologue in the form of that speech this season
It’s ok, mates, Bee comes to live with me. He helps me out around the house.
Also everyone lives at the end of R1. You just have to stop the movie before it ends.
I am debating watching that new trailer.
Ghorman, maybe?
Are we going to get an appearance of Darth Vader in season 2? Screenshot from new official trailer.
Me: They’re going to kill my man in the first arc if not the first episode.
Hubs: Well if it makes you feel better they all probably die.
Maybe, but that could also be an emotional "I'm choking" rather than being force choked
Watch the trailer. She’s seriously struggling.
I also read it as her desperately trying to undo her collar due to an emotional response.
But I’d say it’s a 50/50 chance either way.
The mountains make me wonder if it’s your guess of planet
Same planet just different location
That could make sense too.
I personally hope it's not Vader, just intense emotional distress
I need at least one group of rebels to call themselves the Bothans 😂
Right, she's not looking at anyone. Just tearing at the collar.
That was the second Death Star though! 😅
It’s always possibly Manny Bothans got involved in the rebellion before the Battle of Yavin.
Maybe they were off somewhere getting secret intel about something else.
And then came back to get the second Death Star intel.
let's bring in Kyle while we're at it
holy shit
I know I complained the first trailer didn't feel like a Star War but this one good god I'm sobbing into my caf
I’ll watch it later
The lack of a contemporary song helped
Also the lack of text overlay about all the awards s1 won!
There was an Emmys reference?
There were some reviews as well
I do actually think they were just trying to reach a non-SW-fan audience with that first trailer, and that's not a bad thing!
But this one felt like they were speaking our language
This one definitely had less breaks between stuff to say how big a hit it was
And showed a bigger range of us nerd stuff lol
Like I’m so hyped for seeing Mon’s speech, how Cassian helps broadcast it and Palpatine/the senate’s reaction
But my parents who I’ve been trying to convince to watch season one have no idea how epic a moment that is
I’m guessing/hoping it will still be impactful even without that extra context. My wife is finally watching Season One and is loving it
Oh yeah Genevieve sounds like she’s really putting everything into that line
Like it’ll be like Luthen’s “EVERYTHING” answer
B2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Omg I totally missed that
@frank oasis @novel magnet He’s alive! (At this point in the story arc)
I’m thinking she’s having a panic attack. To me it looks more like she’s trying to unbutton her shirt, and she’s not facing forward like we typically see in a force choke.
And he's got a friend! Look at the other droids feet. They're similar to B2's. Possibly where B got his mismatched one from.
If I’m not mistaken this is Saw’s base we see in r1, another nice tie in
Definitely looks like a star destroyer settling in over the holy city of Jedha off in the distance
Yes, I think that is Jedha. The windows match.
Timeline wise I’m guessing that’s after whatever happens that drives a wedge between him and the rest of the rebellion
Ooh, I bet the scene in the last trailer of the x-wings taking off (that 100% had Saw’s groups livery painted on them) with a dead body in the foreground is them taking off to Jedha in secret
Just for reference, that happens between 2 BBY and 1 BBY. I just looked at Wookieepedia's timeline, using Rebels as a reference. In "Ghosts Of Geonosis" (2 BBY), the Ghost Crew are sent to rescue saw from Geonosis on an official mission from Bail Organa. That would imply they were still on good terms. In "In The Name Of The Rebellion" (1 BBY), Saw uses a droid spy on Yavin IV to send a message to Mom Mothma about how she is fighting the war in all the wrong ways. So, they had separated by then. Therefore, I'm guessing that break-up happens at least halfway through Andor Season 2, given what we know about the season's structure.
Yeah that makes sense
Wouldn’t it be awesome if they did a theatrical release of the first 3? This show needs some big screen time.
I’d absolutely love to watch it that way
Make it an Alamo draft house where I can also have a beer during it, heaven
I wish Ohio had those
🤞🏻Ahsoka had limited D23 theatrical screenings of the first two episodes. Acoltye and Skeleton Crew had wider Fandango screenings of the first two. I don’t believe Andor S1 did, I do recall seeing Rogue One in theaters in before with a preview of Andor
Maybe there will be a screening at Celebration? I’ve been to Destination D23 and they had a screening of an MCU show one year right before the release
There was also a special event where select theaters screened Episode 5 of Ahsoka at the same time it dropped on Disney+. I wish I had gone to one of those. That was such a great episode!
Just rewatching R1 again and wondered, is there a chance we see young Jyn among Saw’s commandos?
It’s tough to peg the timeline though. She was picked up by Saw 15 or so years before the events of Rogue One, but at the time of finding her seemingly had some of the cybernetics he does not seem to have yet in season one of Andor
Wookieepedia says he took her in on 13 BBY, and her last recorded work with him was 6 BBY, and his meetings with Luthen happened in 5 BBY. So I guess he’d already left her on her own by the time of s1
That’s how he looked when he finds Jyn as a child, vs what he looked like when meeting Luthen
He grew back some body parts as well as grew out his hair, or that’s just a continuity error cause they never expected to make a show
it's entirely possible that having things look mechanic vs natural is a choice, and can change.
Saw is the Millennium Falcon of people?
I have a prediction!
While others think Syril may defect, I think it will be Deirdre who does.
My favorite proposal for Syril’s fate is he hears Luthen’s voice in Coruscant, recognizes it, tries to attack Luthen, and is shot dead for assaulting a member of high society.
My favorite trailer for Season 2 is still the one that was shown at D23, and hasn't gotten an official public release yet.
Either the 2 officially uploaded trailers are overshadowing the search results, or it got taken down. I can't find it any more.
I hope they keep him as the insecure weasel and that he ends up sad, disappointed, and defeated. In every empire there are tons of people just like him that keep the empire running and that should remain a point. Meero switching sides would be much more interesting since she's obviously intelligent and would far more likely have an awakening once she begins to understand the rebellion's motivations.
That’s what I was thinking- it would be the more interesting story.
And more believable to me.
But I’m onboard for anything!
I would absolutely love it if Dedra and Syril ended up on Scarif.
@tawny iglooAndor S1 rewatch commences!
Watched ep1 tonight, we gonna coordinate?
Don’t wait for me. But yeah I’m watching.
god I forgot how good this show is
If anyone is going to be in London April 10th https://www.londonatlarge.com/andor-season-2-sneak-peek-event-london/
Gonna miss it for 13 days 😭
IndyWife finished S1 tonight and is pumped for S2. Kinda envious she only has to wait like 3 weeks lol
Lol
Looks like there are a few new shots in here
Man the inside of that TIE Avenger looks sick, and seems like it would be a blast to fly
And I sure hope the K unit seemingly chasing Cassian ends up being K2
I need a Lego set and Micro Galaxy Squadron version
I know for sure one 3 episode drop I’m definitely staying awake for, and it’s the TIE theft arc
“Come back here, I am better at running than you are!”
I need an inflatable Christmas K2 for my droid display
Idea for Andor-themed Christmas decoration: U-Wing-shaped sleigh with K2 driving, pulled by 8 B2s with reindeer antlers 🤣
I love it, but my front yard isn't that big!
The Chewie was from a neighbor. But a K2 would be better!
I don't have room for the walker or the Star destroyer either
My parents have a homemade sleigh that's pulled by lawn flamingos. (Because we live in Florida)
Oooh, just watched a SWE breakdown of the latest short trailer and he thinks (just in case) ||that maybe Luthen and Cassian actually cause the Gorman massacre by kicking off the protests knowing what it would lead to||
I guess ||he also caught a scene in one trailer where Cassian is on Gorman and assembling a sniper rifle in his hotel room, so maybe he even directly starts it by shooting an imperial. Or worse, he impersonates an imperial and fires the first shot into the crowd of protestors causing the rest of troopers to open fire too 😢||
Star Wars fans have been speculating that we might see the Ghorman Massacre in Andor since Mon Mothma mentioned the planet back in season one. We can now say for sure that it will play a major part in season two. So what is it, what do we know about it already, and why will it be so important to see?
Subscribe for more Star Wars videos every da...
I think one of the latest things I saw about s2 is that it’ll completely reshape how you view R1, and whew ||if Cassian is even partially responsible for what happens on Gorman, that’s way bigger than him stealing credits or TIE fighters and killing any imperials in his way. That would be something heavy to live with||
"We've all done terrible things on behalf of the rebellion."
I mean he literally kills his informant in R1 because the guy might talk and can't climb the fence
That was one terrible thing.
I want to learn about the other terrible things that made the statement plural.
Also on a bad things scale I’d say what he did at the start of R1 was like a 5 out of 10, whereas being the cause of hundreds/thousands of innocent people being slaughtered an 11
He’s definitely done some bad stuff but there’s gotta be something big coming if it’ll change how we view the movie
He also accidentally kills a guy in Andor ep1. Then murders the other.
Blows up a car taking out other guys.
We don’t count those because they’re the bad guys. But he might.
He misses out on Maarva’s last days alive. Which we know he counts as a terrible thing because he tells Brasso.
I’d list more but my point is season one is full of Cass doing terrible things in his opinion.
With that said, Luthen’s whole thing is being a catalyst to force a rebellion. So yes a bigger tragedy could be something Cassian is partly responsible for.
Picture Baby Yoda in the Season 1 finale pushing back the fire to protect Mando, except instead of Mando it’s Cassian.
lol apt analogy
But Mando definitely kickstarted Star Wars
My parents watched, and then gave skeleton crew a chance cause of it
Trying to get them on the Andor bandwagon
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DIMQYtct82Q/?igsh=cXRuNzA1bTBlZ3pz some new dialogue?
The Empire cannot win.
Andor returns for its final season. Don’t miss the three-episode premiere streaming April 22, only on Disney+.
I saw a commercial that felt like it had a few different scenes
It definitely wasn’t that trailer though, that one’s got a lot of extra bits of scenes we’ve been shown in other trailers
https://www.instagram.com/p/DIMiySioRWl/?igsh=MTM2NnQyanh4anJxeg== more pics of the Lego U-Wing set
Passend zur kommenden zweiten Staffel von Andor sind nun erste Bilder des LEGO Star Wars U-Wing Starfighters (75399) bei Amazon Deutschland aufgetaucht.

o0oooo
I love how the composition of this image shows that the rebellion is built on their backs.
https://disneyplus.com/browse/entity-aaab0bdd-4251-4302-a062-ad6c0136a444?sharesource=iOS I found this "Andor Season 1 Recap | Disney+" on Disney+.
Might be a good way to get people on the fence to watch
Just sent it to my parents lol 🤞
Rebellions are built on hope.
Don’t miss the three-episode premiere of Andor, streaming April 22 only on Disney+.
Nice. So it appears that Luthen is actually at Mon’s daughter’s wedding
And it looks like Saw’s X-wing’s/transport arriving on Yavin. I wonder if Cassian starts off with him and breaks away
yeah, I was excited to see Luthen at the wedding
And ❤️ that shot of Cassian and K2 together
Super hype
seriously
I’d just been on my way here to say I just noticed in another rewatch of s1 that Meero seems to unconsciously tug at her collar when she’s stressed
Yeah
(also hope it is)
I hope it is too cause that would mean it’s great acting not space magic
Yeah, and it would make a lot more sense if she’s got PTSD after almost dying and being rescued by the dude stalking her
hell Syril stalking her is enough for some mild PTSD
100%
If these rumored runtimes are right, going to need to be caffeinated lol https://bespinbulletin.com/2025/04/runtimes-for-every-episode-of-star-wars-andor-season-2/
I love longer episodes instead of the 32 minute nonsense. but daaaayum
Keep in mind 8ish minutes of credits.
lol I instantly thought “well this should make the people who say the episodes aren’t long enough happy”
joke's on you, we're never happy
lol, no Goldilocks length that’s just right? Either too short or too long 😂
no no, these lengths ARE good. but then three a night!
and either stay up or risk spoilers from people who cannot comprehend spoiler policies
Yeah, I’m counting my blessings that I don’t work Saturdays, so I’m either going to be up till the wee hours of the morning or waking up early to finish the trio
If accurate, S2 episodes would be about 2 minutes longer on average than S1 (inclusive of credits)
Don't they drop on Tuesdays?
Oh no do they? I wasn’t paying attention to when those days fall in the week, figured they’d all be Fridays
Doh, they’re all Tuesdays
Guess I’ll be mainlining caf to stay awake if I get scheduled on the Wednesdays after they drop
Good thing I recently stocked up on my espresso blend caf
don't forget to factor in 10+ mins of credits for each one because Disney
Credits for S1 were around 5.5-7 mins
well I was being a bit sarcastic, but still like twice as long as they need to be
Justice for foreign language dubbers
just feels like padding runtimes because all their shows are too short
7 mins is like nearly feature film credit length
Good thing Disney+ doesn’t make you watch all of them
I said 8ish.
#1022187710636630087 message
I'm not worried about watching them, but it's kind of deceiving to publish runtimes that aren't accurate to what you actually get content wise
It's just an annoyance
I remember because we pause so often for me to go pee. Lol. I always manage to go like 12 minutes before the end. Which meant about two minutes from the episode is over.
Fortunately Andor didn't suffer from the short times, but many other shows did
“Oh we have 12 minutes left, I can’t wait that long.” Pauses. Comes back. Two minutes later credits scroll.
There have been more hilarious run times though where it says there’s 10 minutes left and I come back to five seconds.
Mando came out 5.5 years ago now? I think people have generally factored in the credits when they see the runtimes by now
The upside is we get cool music!
Hubs skips the credits and I yell every time.
Interrupting my jams.
Sure for Disney, but the point is that the vast majority of other shows are much closer to an actual hour, even old shows from the 90s were 42 mins long. Shows take an excruciating amount of time to produce these days and we get so few episodes anymore that having short run times is a feels bad
S1 of Andor had about 7 hours and 52 minutes of runtime (exclusive of credits and recaps). I for one felt satisfied as a Disney+ subscriber by the amount and quality of content received. I realize you may feel differently
I think Andor is the exception tbh, It has the longest run time of any of the SW shows. I felt satisfied with Andor, but several other shows suffered from wanting more and with fewer episodes and short times it was very apparent. Some even suffered heavily from it like Obi-Wan, because it was too short to be a series and too long to be a movie.
wow ok
I may need a few more bags of this for Tuesday night releases
is it still releasing on PT time? at like 3 am eastern?
Not 100% sure but google says 6pm pacific 9 eastern
ok that's managable
Yeah assuming giving myself an intermission between episodes it would still be around 1am for me by the time I finish a set of 3
And if I get scheduled to close like tonight I’ll be an hour behind just from the walk home and then cleaning up/making dinner
we'd have to do all evening tasks (prepping lunches, showers, kitty Fourth Meal) in advance to be ready to just watch straight through. but we don't go to bed early, so maybe.
And whew heaven help me if Last of Us releases are Tuesday/wednesday
But I think that’s Sundays
April is a busy month for new shows
TLOU is on the 13th so I think you’re correct about Sundays.
I’m assuming because Doctor Who is on the 12th, those will be Saturdays.
I have shows on Mondays too. And of course Andor Tuesdays. But that does give me Tues-Fri to catch up!
For us, we don’t watch it until kid is asleep. So we start around 9 or 10pm.
This may be behind the Apple News paywall but some interesting tidbits in this interview of Diego Luna and Tony Gilroy https://apple.news/AcY6PDqcXRsGgX1YpNL8oqw
it is indeed behind the paywall
I get Apple Music and Apple TV included with my Apple Student subscription. I don't think I get Apple News.
Yeah Apple News is yet another subscription, but one I refuse to get
It’s in the newest issue of Empire magazine if you have access to that anywhere else
Empire magazine writing about the Rebellion.
Oh, the mild irony. 😄
lol
This caption from the London media event made me chuckle
Well phrased 😄
“Guest” lol, it makes sense to not take away from her by flashing his name in the caption though
It’s crazy to me still how big a star he’s become after stargate Atlantis
I appreciate that since it's her event they focused on her. Her arm candy doesn't need the recognition.
That popped into my mind when they had Krennic on the front cover a few months ago.
Also apt, for the opposite reason.
I will be at the Star Wars Nite at Disneyland on the 6th (until 1 am) and I have a conference class on Wednesday morning but I ain't missing out on Andor. Sleep is for the weak. 😉
If you listen to this without the rest of the episode, it sounds as if it was actually recorded in a non-studio environment. Curious.

My guess is ||Syril||
I didn’t notice that at first but yeah that certainly looks ||like him bound and gagged||
But that plea for help ||sure sounds like the ghorman massacre might happen like in legends, ships landing on protestors. But it could also mean they’re bringing down ships full of stormtroopers to attack them||
I want ||the Legends thing to happen||.
Not because I’m going to enjoy it, but because it will shake even the more jaded viewers out of a stupor.
Yeah
See posts, photos and more on Facebook.
This looks like some new stuff I’ve not seen in other trailers
SEVEN DAYS UNTIL ANDOR SEASON 2
(now that I’ve found my way to the correct channel to express hype)
10080 MINUTES
Still wish I episode a week
Just as they sacrificed for the Rebellion, we, too, must sacrifice (sleep) for the Rebellion.
It’s only the equivalent of one Lord of the Rings movie a week.
We’ve all watched a LOTR film on a weeknight, right.
That’s normal.
If there is one show I will stay up past my bedtime on a school night for, it is Andor
Yeah when I was 20 in college ...
I try to go to bed at a specific time, but my podmates usually end up screwing that up. They're very loud. This probably won't feel much different in terms of how much sleep I actually get. 😅
This is why I post on here at weird hours of the morning sometimes. It's because it gets loud in the dorms.
Interesting interview but some potential spoilers so avoid if you want to go in blind https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-features/andor-creator-season-2-episodes-1236190457/
Actually pretty heavy spoilers the further you go
Thanks for the heads up, I was aboot to click
Aboot
Feeling a bit Canadian today lol
Also there are multiple one minute clips from S2 floating out there, so be on guard for more spoilers
Dang really? Hope the Facebook one I posted wasn’t one, but it was from Star Wars.com’s account and was mostly previous trailer film
No, these just got posted today (well one yesterday). They don’t have trailer music or cuts. Just one minute clips from episodes
Ah well hopefully whoever made/circulated those is sent to the spice mines of Kessel
You are not alone.
7 more days
If I worked for TSA I’d have been the nerd that recognised him and asked to hold that blaster
Just FYI seems the S2 review embargo lifts Friday, so if you’re trying to avoid spoilers be on guard
Damn marketers couldn't just let people be surprised.

||1 year gap per episode || from SWC
I think that’s ||1 year gap per episode arc||.
Yeah, Gilroy said ||each 3 episode arc shows a few days in a given year. Each arc is one year closer to Rogue One||
||First episode is 4bby|| timeline
Sits on hands to resist tapping those spoiler tags
For anyone that not gone to Star Wars celebration, they have shown the first episode of Andor for the Andor panel
I am going to spend a lot of time freezing the wedding scene and taking screenshots of the clothes. So much silk. So fun to build cosplays around.
In that poster, Deedra is in civilian clothes. Interesting. I wonder what she's up to.
I can’t wait to see what you do with. I’m extremely excited for those scenes too.
I’ve stopped scrolling through Reddit, Facebook and insta just so I don’t accidentally see a spoiler
She’s so pretty!!
Been dodging Andor commercials/videos on social media and YouTube like it’s the matrix
Don’t want anything spoiled
Well… since you asked about spoilers… ||Mon Mothma and Cassian fall in love and decide to get hitched, so Mon divorces her hubby, who ends up with Bix, and they all give up the rebellion BS and start a drive-in theater. But, Luthien is torqued (partially because he also had a crush on Bix) and hires Boba Fett to sabotage the whole thing, causing a ton of drama, until one of the speeders at the drive-in is revealed to have Vader out on a date with Aurra Sing and he force chokes Luthien and Bix for ruining an otherwise perfect evening. Mon and Cassian call off their romance, go back to the rebellion, and dedicate themselves to overthrowing Vader for ultimately wrecking their passion project. Yes, of course this is a fake spoiler, but at least yall hopefully got a laugh (or at least an eye roll) from the absurdity of it and if any part of this turns out to be remotely true, I swear I was making this whole thing up and didn’t actually have any foreknowledge (after fake-but-actually -real spoiling “and then aliens show up” on the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Im disclaiming everything now)||
Man I can’t wait for this release. I rewatched Season 1 and Rogue One to prep
Apart from the spoilers we’ve already known for 9 and 48 years respectively.
But I suppose those don’t count, as they happen after Season 2. 😅
Omg wait Cassian doesn’t die of old age?!
Did that pesky rebellion ever end up winning?
He does if you pretend the wall of nuclear fire was just a wall of bright light.
Maybe he just got a bit of a sunburn and lived the rest of his life peacefully on that beach.
It was a nice beach.
There’s a strong argument that they did win.
But evil always keeps coming back, so it’s hard to win permanently.
Knowing what happens to sand when you heat it up, it's probably a lot like Mandalore now.
According to Lego Star Wars canon, eventually the glass crumbled back into sand and Scarif became a resort beach.
Which is nice.
Oh, I forgot about that! ⛱️
lol kinda like that rich people resort (Skeleton Crew spoilers) ||built on top of the pirate guys lair||
Not entirely dissimilar!
But these things happen in real life too.
I’m sure there’s plenty of real life beaches or castles or what have you that were the site of terrible events, that then got repurposed into resorts and tourist traps.
Yeah
I mean, you can do guided tours of the beaches of Normandy
(May or may not have been on one)
yes, but those are presented very solemnly in my experience
True
we did Pointe du Hoc and it was all very serious and educational and not tourist-trappy at all
Makes me both want to rewatch band of brothers and hope we see that kind of fighting by Saw’s group
My guess is Luthen brings Cassian to Saw after bringing him in. He’d fit well with their group
😆
Life’s a beach?
Lol right.
They did the “now it’s a vacation spot” thing in the Halloween special too.
I think Graballa also did that several times in The Freemaker Adventures.
Not always.
Sometimes it’s a snowy wilderness and your friend has to shove you inside a dead mammal to keep you warm.
It is his schtick.
Speaking of, where would talk about Rebuild The Galaxy Season 2 go? #star-wars-animation ? I want to see who thinks they're going to follow up on The Lando-lorian. 😆
Yes #star-wars-animation is an appropriate channel for Lego SW discussions.
ONE DAY OUT! ONE DAY OUT!
I haven’t rewatched S1 and we will be in Anaheim so I’m torn about watching or waiting until we get home.
The full review embargo for S2 just dropped. All the ones I’ve seen have been overwhelmingly positive
I just watched SWE’s latest video about the Ahsoka panel they were at but he did mention that they’d gotten to see all of s2 and it was good
Finally checked out this album. I love it. https://youtu.be/zP7Wqt9rEL0?si=CLrPr5gkuW6OIff_

LFG!!!! I’m ready
Star Wars legacy characters have been recast in Disney Plus series
TLDR: Bail Organa and Jyn Erso
Also ||General Marrick and General Draven|| too, for the folks who know every character.
Not sure how I’m feeling about this. I would’ve rather they cut the characters entirely😔 I could understand the recast if the actors had passed away (knock on wood) but idk about recasting for scheduling issues
I completely agree. Especially for Jyn. Why include her at all? Part of the story of Rogue One is that she was recruited out of desperation. A last resort. She is not needed for Andor!
Unless it's ||showing her as a kid with Saw and recasting is because the child actor is no longer a child||
I like that theory. Mostly because I'm going be mad if they actually did recast an adult Jyn. It took them 3 years to produce a second season anyway. Just delay it more if there are scheduling issues!
Stuck in I5 traffic and saw this!
I’m as excited as I was for season one. Except now I have someone to lose.
Two if you include B.
B2 should be very much included.
He is a precious red jelly bean, and he deserves our concern.
Hour and a half!
B2 is a rare example of a droid that is insanely cute, but more because of his personality than his design. At least that's my opinion.
My roomba is named B2EMO and has significantly less charming personality.
My Bee keychain goes with me everywhere though! He is son, Brasso is hubs. In my head we live very long together. Lol
That gives me an idea. Is there an remote controllable B2? (Like the Sphero BB-8) I think that would sell well.
Was Kino Loy ever confirmed to appear in this season? I remember Gilroy said in an interview that he survived Season 1, Episode 10.
Anyone else scrambling to get all chores/etc done, dinner eaten and snacks ready to go? 😝 going for minimum amount of pauses lol
Yeah. It's tricky when you know you're going to have 3 episodes dropping in one night.
Almost had to stay at work until 9 cause of a late delivery truck but I was like nah, I’ve got personal plans after 8 😂
Boss doesn’t need to know that those plans are watching Star Wars lol
I plan to get on Disney+ at 8:45 and watch the Season 1 recap before the drop.
That s1 recap is great without spoiling the big monologues, I tried using it to sway my parents/sister lol
ONE HOUR OUT. ONE HOUR OUT
Cat getting her wet food early so I don’t have to stop for that 🤦♂️🤣
ARE WE THERE YET?
Uh oh. Firefighters outside talking about something “that way your power stays on.”
Just hoping nobody’s thawing frozen pipes across the street with an arc welder. (Pretty sure that’s what got our house a visit from the FD many years ago)
So as a general thought, I now completely agree with the decision to drop three episodes in one go.
In my opinion it was the right move.
Holy yikes!
Yeah. Been there. Done that. No souvenir Tshirt (and everything fails at once because everything was bought new at the same time)
If we had gotten 1 per week, I think I'd be really disappointed the second week. But this was good.
same. I am loving basically watching a movie
Yeah AFD is here often but tonight they are sticking around, vocal, and seem to be using equipment. We’ll see if we still have power to watch Andor.
I still give one of the FD guys crap. “Dude, you’re not allowed to cone to my house. The last time you were here you left the place a huge mess” 🤣
Its almost 11 i should go to bed
And we have three more movies to go!
I know, I'm excited!
You're lucky. It was about 11:30 by the time I finished the episodes. I don't like time zones...
So I should just have waited and watched all 3 tonight? EP1 felt good on it’s own
Nah, you’re good.
I think the general feeling is that the three together felt very solid and like a film, but Episode 1 would work just fine on its own.
Episode 2 maybe less so, as it is the middle part.
I guess I’d recommend watching 2 and 3 together if you already watched 1.
Cool. Unfortunately just realized with coaching sons soccer tonight might have to wait for Thursday 😔.
Yes. Definitely watch 2 and 3 together. These episodes work better together. Like I said earlier, if they had dropped one per week, I'd be disappointed with 2.
Anyone else watching rebels inbetween the breaks of season 2, ?
I’ve actually been reading that Mask of Fear book that came out a few months ago. Serves as a great tie-in (and prequel) for Andor
Very cool. havent quite gotten into the comics and books, yet...
It’s so good…
I have only had time to watch Episode 1 but let me just say I missed this show! I know where Andor's story ends but the in between is just so good. Really hope SW continues with similar gritty style shows once Andor wraps his story.
I’m halfway through and it really does add that depth.
That's always nice when the original actor can do that, helps preserve the quality of the acting
Yooo I just saw this on Instagram. This is a cool connection. Not super spoiling but I like this
Cherishing every episode as much as I can because we only get one more season
I kinda want to replicate some of the Chandrilan formal wear for cons but I'm not sure my tailoring skills are far enough yet
If you don’t trust your skills, wait for someone else to post a tutorial online.
Then mimic.
I think I’m going to watch the three episodes again tonight.
I love his quote so much.
That might just be a Jedi proverb. Jod said that same thing to Wim in Skeleton Crew.

It's crazy how little they know about the franchise their characters are a part of
They are adorable.
I don't need them to be SW trivia experts... I need them to be good actors
An actor’s ability to act in a Star Wars production is not reliant on their knowledge of Star Wars trivia.
While it is a lot of fun when SW actors are big fans of the franchise and know lots of lore (Sam Witwer being a prime example) a good actor will do a good job regardless of what they know about the world.
Also this video is hilarious.
The only way it could be more funny is if the actors had to do it in the trivia corner of a pizza parlor while sharing a pitcher of beer.
They don't need to be SW trivia experts. Hell, most of us arent.
This, perfect example, I have been listening to the Delta Flyers podcast hosted by the actors who played Tom Paris and Harry Kim on Voyager. Robby (Tom) is not a Trek fan but is a talented actor and director and his insight in the industry is awesome. He still enjoys trek just doesn't know all the lore. Garrett(Harry) on the other hand is a huge Sci fi fan. Both are great actors and fans in their own way.
Best part about Monday coming is that Tuesday comes after it!
We are so close to THREE MORE EPISODES!
I somehow missed this:

Good stuff, 100% confirmed with the wedding dancing stuff being Mon basically trying to drown out the shitstorm on the horizon. Gilroy says “the wedding is her prison, the dancing is her attempt to escape”
Someone should write a piece about Luthen’s “sunrise I’ll never see” and the end of Rogue One as Cassian and Jyn look at the horizon
I've had the exact same thought multiple times. I might make a short video with Luthen's voice overlayed on that scene if nobody else does something similar by the time Season 2 is over.
I just realized that something that's been said about Andor Season 2 doesn't make sense. We know that each 3 episodes will represent consecutive years in Cassian's life. I've also heard that the last 3 will lead directly into Rogue One. Both of those statements CANNOT BE TRUE.
S1E01 - S1E12: 5 BBY
S2E01 - S2E03: 4 BBY
S2E04 - S2E06: 3 BBY
S2E07 - S2E09: 2 BBY
S2E10 - S2E12: 1 BBY
Rogue One takes place in 0 BBY.
Therefore, there has to be an extra 1-year gap somewhere if the last 3 episodes lead directly into R1.
"approximately one year"
it's not that exact
they're picking the important events from 4, 3, and 2 BBY, not literally spacing them one year apart.
Ah. That makes sense.
Random thought: It’d be neat if we got a Ghost Crew cameo/reference later in the season
If we do, it'll probably something along the lines of someone contacting Hera to tell her to wait for Mon Mothma's ship in the debris field.
So have been careful not to see any spoilers until just now...didn't realize things were jumping forward in time every 3 episodes!
Well this is an interesting one
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=208x7aV5Nc0
This is funny. Star Wars Theory is rage quitting Andor content becuase even his regular viewers are clowning him on his haterade takes. He was so desperate to nitpick Andor and he's getting dragged for it.
This all started (this time) because he complained about the SA scene in the first arc and then said Darth Vader and Palpatine would not have stood for that. You know. The guy who force choked his own pregnant wife.
The Sith, the ones famously championing the kind treatment of the common people
"Padme, this is his second genocide"
Also I’m pretty sure ambient pain and suffering in the galaxy increases the power of the dark side.
Like
I think that’s pretty much how it works.
So no, the two Sith Lords would not object to lowlife Imperial Officers terrorizing people and causing chaos in that manner.
Once again, the cruelty is the point.
And this is showing the cruelty on all levels, from huge planet destroying cruelty of the regime on the whole to the small, personal cruelties an occupying force commits one at a time.
Another luke warm take I'm seeing around is that "This isn't Star Wars" becuase it's not fantasy escapism, because there's murder and suffering. Uhm, did you see the OT with the whole murdery evil empire and then the rebels blowing up thousands of Imperials? Jabba with slave women that he fed to monsters?
I think it's another one of those things where as children they focused on the lasers and space wizards, not really paying attention to adult themes in plain view.
I also think the goofy moments of the OT lend themselves to glossing over the serious themes undergirding the whole trilogy
They probably did.
But
I don’t regret the goofy moments.
Life is many flavors of absurd
Oh no, not at all. I love it when Star Wars is goofy
I also think the goofiness makes it more approachable to people who maybe weren't ready to be confronted with the reality that the Empire was US-coded (even though the officers all had British accents) and the Rebels were Viet-Cong-coded 😂
You can map many colonial/imperialist conflicts over the OT, but that's the one that was on Lucas's mind at the time he was making the film
this is such an absurd take, the mental gymnastics required shock me
I have a friend who sorta said he didn't like the ||SA|| in Star Wars, that he goes to it for escapism, which I respect his feelings but I pushed back that yes, a lot of SW is goofy but deals with all sorts of adult themes. Andor has those same adult themes but much less - if any - goof
SWT is nothing if not a Vader simp
I was not a fan of that scene with Bix, especially after what happened to ||Cinta|| in the second arc, but it's not because I have a problem with Andor being grittier
and it also goes back to, it's ok if any particular SW thing is not to your preference. if you like escapism and Andor is definitely not that, that's a valid view.
It's one thing to say that you don't like the scene because of a story/writing/direction issue etc. But to say that that kind of thing wouldn't be happening is delusional.
Take care of spoilers. Tagged revealed episode 6 ones.
Not tagged revealed episode 3.
Lol wth is “omes”?
Now I need to know if that’s a real word.
exactly.
which is fine yanno, as your favorite villain. but he's still a gd villain.
remember ya'll, General is approved for all spoilers, and hiding spoilers is left at author discretion, so read at your own peril
That still makes no sense.
Why have episode spoiler forums then?
People use general to talk about general Andor things.
Especially now that there are two seasons.
generally (ha ha), so people don't have to get down in the weeds or find the right channel
I will always be respectfully aware of spoilers for other members and try to call them out for them.
totally
I spoiler tag here depending on the spoiler, but it's just not required so be aware 👀
It’s always ok to admit when you’re wrong. I wish more people felt comfortable with that.
SWT included.
it's the only way to grow
SWT will never admit hes wrong. He deserves nothing from this community. No sympathy, no second third I've lost count... chances, Nothing. Absolutely fuck that guy and everything he stands for. Fuck that guy and his xenophobic, hateful rhetoric.
He can't admit he's wrong or he will lose money from his hate grift that only thrives on that same terrible rhetoric
Yeah I’m not terribly forgiving of those who refuse accountability.
But I can still wish for change in them.
Will it happen? Depends on the person or even the time in their lives. Ie my dad who has gone off the deep end in denial.
As someone obsessed with brains it does intrigue me.
Oftentimes it stems from pain or fear. But I’m getting off topic!
Runway music!
I still want that damn jacket...
he gets some amazing jackets
dude right?
I wonder if he has “I’m too sexy for my jacket” song in his head while he walks.
Probably more “man I’m tired/hungry. My next line is…”
I think he's more "f the Empire"
“This gun keeps slamming my leg. Will I get a bruise?”
All the costumes have been amazing, from the formalwear to the utility stuff
The Ghorman clothing especially is gorgeous.
don't want to mention any specifics, but one of the official YT recaps goes into some interesting detail about exactly where they got the inspiration from
I’ll have to check it out.
I mean for me it looks like ||1930s - 1940s period clothing with a sci fi edge||.
But I’m sure there’s more to it.

Obvious 4/5/6 spoilers in there
Some of the styles seemed a little older than that.
But logically, fashion has always included the recent past trends since most people weren't replacing their entire wardrobes
at my local Books A Million. It looks like S1, but leaving it here just in case
...holy crap...
I see a hiding Omega who needs a home.
I would buy them all and take them out on play dates. Do you think they’d enjoy Disneyland.
I don't mean to say the other things aren't good, but Andor is so quacking good see Disney, this is what happens when you make amazing things.
Speaking on inspiration with Ghorman… Any idea on the language? We were getting French vibes.
Not surprised it's such an amazing show that doesn't rely on having a ton of prior star wars knowledge
Ahsoka is good, but short and relies on you having seen Rebels to really understand it's characters. Book of Boba Fett was just terrible outside of a few scenes and the prequel to s3 mandalorian lol
kinda spoilery: ||Basically, Ghorman is space-Milan (for the fashion industry) but the language is using French phonetics, but constructed grammar and vocabulary. All the Ghormans are French actors as well. The additional French aspect is that the Ghorman front is modeled after the WWII French resistance.||
That makes a lot of sense. And I caught that vibe as well
Oh!! That makes total sense.
I thought they included German actors as well and that was what was confusing some people. I’ve called the Dutch (as in Netherlands) language the French German.
This really is a show you need very little background, All you need to know is that the Empire is the big bad. Sure you won't the thousand little references and easter eggs, but the general story is relatable and easily understood.
“The Empire is the big bad”😂
Isn't the one dude German?
Exactly, it's also what made the Mandalorian so wildly popular outside of star wars fans
I will also add that I thought the Bobf was awesome and scratched a lot of itches for me. But yeah a good half of it needs another show to fully appreciate it.
I’d say The Acolyte is on par with Andor except it revolves around the Force.
The Acolyte is something one in the Andor universe may watch or read about to escape with some mystery/fantasy genre. Which fits in with the overall SW universe. Like how the kids in Skeleton Crew watch/read.
It all comes together!
Also I think streaming services have finally gone through with their threat of blocking different households sharing sign ins. My mom said hulu and Disney+ kicked her out from using ours. So it may be forcing people to subscribe if they want to continue watching Andor.
The Andor Black Series figures are all $15 or even lower on Amazon. I only bought Mon Mothma when they released back in mid 2023 so I may pick up a few of them.
I’d noticed the breathing mask and pointed it out earlier but this is a good illustration
raises hand - Genevieve O’Reilly has me rethinking my SW character rankings. I don’t see how I can keep Mon out of the top 10!
cough
If you are a Mon Mothma fan, you will probably be interested in our newest shirt design (courtesy Rooks, who I will not tag right now as its late)
BUT SINCE ITS SO CLOSE TO MIDNIGHT ON THE 4TH AND I LOVE YOU ALL...
Actual announcement coming tomorrowish.

It’s Andor Eve!!
Next meetup I'm going to ask if people are excited and then hand them this sticker.
FML, both have to work until 9 tonight and my audiologist broke my hearing aids last Thursday and promised they’d be fixed by Monday. Then said oh they’ll definitely be in today. Then said oh for sure they’ll be in tomorrow. So, basically deaf and won’t be able to enjoy watching tonight.
Sorry, hope they get in soon
That sucks! They couldn't even give you a loaner pair in the meantime?
I won't be able to watch until the weekend, so I'll be muting this whole thread before 9 tonight
Nope, my hearing loss is so bad I require an extra part inside my ear to further amplify the sound and without those the rest of the hearing aid is useless
And I get to work 10-3 the next two days so even if I somehow do get my aids back tomorrow I won’t be able to watch until evening
Really extra sucks that the audiologist broke them, then
Yeah, was just trying to have them show me how the two halves separate, handed them off and then waited until they came back and signed/shouted that they’d broken them
Like wtf, 30 second visit turns into me being deaf for a week
Maybe re-watch ||Vel’s speech at the end of episode 6|| and paraphrase some choice comments for the audiologist.
||”You should carry this forever.”||
||My hearing aids were everything you’ll never be.”||
||”Stop crying.”||
Not sure if this has been posted here already, but I’d love to get into this ride.
Got my hearing aids back finally, first thing I’m doing when I get home from work is watching the new eps
You’ll be able to hear all the pathos.
And the two dozen Wilhelm screams when Vader shows up and starts sabering ISB agents.
Remember at the end of S1 Luther seemed to want to kill Andor. Why did he end up not going through with that in S2? They never really explained it I feel.
Andor proved himself useful to the cause. Some people become more trouble than they’re worth like Tay and others who flew too close to the sun
That’s exactly how I feel
I have to watch Andor as soon as it corks before social media spoils it for me
Huzzah!
Okay gotcha thanks.
Welp I spent the last 4 1/2 hours after work getting caught up, and now want to watch the latest arc over again immediately. So epic
I honestly don’t know what the last arc could be about, I think every clip they used in the trailers, the full scene has been shown.
Maybe we’ll finally see a bothan
Maybe time to extract Supervisor Lonni Jung? Side tangent: I’ve a share of family members with the surname “Jung” so Lonni kind of feels like family and I hope for a somewhat reasonable ending for him though either Partagaz or Luthen can bring his demise.
Maybe ||try to kill Dedra again?||
they need to learn about the death star
Ah yes, the pilot
The Ring of Kafrene
I seem to recall from the trailer (or one of the trailers) we saw ||a KX droid that was possibly K2 shove someone off a walkway?||
I don’t ||think that moment was from Ghorman so it was probably from the final arc.||
I must not have caught that, but they definitely pulled hard from the first three arcs and then tossed them in a blender to make trailers
God this show is too good, I’m trying to get caught up on the latest Last of Us and can’t stop thinking about Andor lol
Ben Mendelsohn loves this Star Wars icon...
#benmendelsohn #directorkrennic #rogueone #starwars #andor
This was a thrilling ride.
Ok but now I’m picturing B2EMO dressed as Rambo.
With a piece of cloth wrapped around his forehead area, and maybe with a bandolier of shell cartridges, and with two rifles stuck to his sides.
If I get to see B2EMO racking the slide on a pump-action shotgun, I can die happy
But the piece de resistance is that he rolls up dressed like that to whoever he’s fighting…
And just sticks out his taser probe (that he used to shock the hound in S1E1) and electrocutes them.
“The only good Imperial is a d-d-d-d-dead Imperial.”
Lol
Poor B2
We love to imagine him taking down Imps, but fighting is probably the last thing he wants to do.
He’s so sweet and pure hearted.

Delicious ghorlectipods.
next time we're all doing something at a house, because I imagine they won't survive park travel well. lol
Yes!!
I'll have to use something other than the ferrero roche, but that's easy
I've been wondering this ever since the trailer dropped: Is that clone armor?
Whatever it is, they’re making an action figure of it https://www.target.com/p/star-wars-the-black-series-isb-tactical-agent/-/A-93566553
A combination of tactical armor and the poofy pants.
Truly the best of both worlds. 😂
Only a spoiler if you haven't seen the first season at least.
The poofy pants on Dedra just make me laugh lol, she’s got such a slim figure then there’s the inflatable pants lol
Like I can’t help but think of the first episode of Band of brothers where Ross from friends dresses down the new recruits for blousing their pant legs over their boots to look like a qualified paratrooper
Im sad we've reached the end and super excited at the same time. lol
Once it is over, we just start the Andor - Rogue One - ANH rewatch cycle
Yeah should we have a R1 rewatch thread for us all to re-experience the movie?
Cause they definitely weren’t wrong in how it would completely change our view of R1
The force healer scene is like that, it almost seems out of place in Andor, but if you can see the future, it’s like a sign he’ll meet the Guardians of the Whills
The question is do I go rewatch 1 and 2 of Andor or watch Rogue 1 then maybe rewatch all of them
I think it’ll be impactful to watch r1 right after eps 10-12, but I’ll want to binge s1, s2 and then r1
discussing a R1 group watch so we can all ugly cry together
As one
though I may end up liking Jyn less. "you've been here for like three weeks stfu look at everything Cassian has sacrificed!"
“You’re no Bix!”
Jyn: “Hey, I didn’t even want to be here!”
We need a Jyn show or movie.
Set when she was with Saw and the partisans.
I want a Mon show after Return of the Jedi
That too.
But just now I realize I’d be really interested in observing Saw and Jyn’s relationship when Jyn was younger.
Have you read Rebel Rising?
I have not.
Because I think I didn’t know it existed until I looked it up just now.
But I guess it covers what I wanted to see.
…ok but can we maybe get, I dunno…a short live action thing with Forest Whittaker?
Because I’d like to see his take on it.
Also I’m kind of imagining their relationship as slightly similar to Young Marceline and Simon Petrikov from Adventure Time.
Just with more guerrilla warfare.
I need more Erskine. I just love the exchange between Mon and him after her encounter with Luhthen. “I’ve tried to protect you” “and you’ve failed” “I’m sorry you feel that way”
SWE said it best that sometimes the truth could also be your biggest adversary. Mon feels he’s betrayed her, but in his mind he’s kept her safe
Wouldn’t it be amazing if this scene was recreated in live action for episode 10???? I know that General Draven says that Gold Leader will be bringing her in, but man we have the whole Ghost Crew already in live action!!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Year time jump tho. But a great thought
The Ghost was in Rogue One so it’s most likely they were already part of the rebellion. 🤷🏽♂️
Yeah like Bird said it ended at the point where Rebels picked up, so there’s about 0 chance we see it in live action. But we got a reference to what happens
Just got caught up. Wow. So many great story lines. So I didn’t backscroll to see if it was discussed, but you think we will find out who Uncle Harlo is? Seems like that is a minor twist that could be explored.
While I would be very amused if Uncle Harlo (or Eedy Karn for that matter) ended up playing some sort of role in the final arc, it seems unlikely.
They would have to be pieces in the final plot line, which at minimum needs to involve ||the secret of the Death Star beginning to come to light||.
Uncle Harlo may have friends in many places 😀
Syril ‘s story arc did conclude well. I guess I just wasn’t ready for it to end yet.
Could be.
Would be soap opera perfect if he was helping the person who was rescued by the guy who killed his nephew, but doesn’t seem right for Gilroy
I would hate that
Would be so campy imo
It would cheapen the seriousness of the show too
Luthen framing Uncle Harlo to discredit Martyr Syril? Fitting
Syril isn't a marter
He's just another dead imperial amongst many
No one knows his name
The imperial news will be calling him one, or at least Eedy will
Not even Andor lol
They didn't though, they just talked about all the imperials in general, they didn't mention anyone's name
He’ll probably be the “important” of the worker ants who died
Don't forget we're jumping another year forward
Yeah it’ll be interesting to see how it’s remembered on the imperial side
Or if it’s even remembered at all
Ghorman will have been forgotten by the imperial propaganda machine most likely
I loved the Rebels tie in though
Would like to see more subtle references to stuff in the final arc
I hope, they’ve been good about that stuff so far
This may be funnier than the Ben Mendelsohn one https://www.instagram.com/reel/DIZt0YwAnsb/?igsh=MWQwZWZmOTh2aXNueg==
Just shows again you don’t need to be great at Star Wars trivia to be great in Star Wars
It’s unspecific on purpose.
Generally supposed to be most awesome / greatest respected I think?
so I don't blame her. especially when they were fed one at a time
Embarassingly, I only thought there were 9 total episodes this season. Don't know why that was stuck in my brain. Can you imagine my excitement when I just found out there were three more left?
Yeah there’s too many characters to possibly make a top 5, especially when you don’t know the list, or in her case even know the characters that well lol. All for getting a reaction out of them, which I think her comment on Star Wars fans dragging her for not knowing Leia’s last name might be more true than I want it to be
I think Mendelsohn’s “cause I’m waiting for you to say Luke F’ing Skywalker” is my favorite lol
Yay, finally between me and my brother in law, got my parents to start watching. But they just dove into s2 lol, started asking questions about episode 1 and I was like, man, that’s from a few years ago let me try to recall
First one, then the other.
She is delightful and amazing.
Also her trailer code name being ‘Joan’ is even funnier after watching this interview clip from celebration:
In this short Diego Luna And Alan Tudyk talk at Star Wars celebration about returning for Andor Season 2 to reprise their roles from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Andor Season 1 and Rogue One are two of my favourite new Star Wars elements and I think they add a lot of depth to the story between the Prequel Trilogy and the Original Trilogy. ...

This series wouldn't have been the same without her.
also, I AM NOT READY FOR THIS TO END
I am not ready for this to end, either, my friend...
We're planning on R1 next Tuesday to ugly sob even harder after seeing everything Cassian went through to get to that point.
Oh?
Because I ugly sob through R1 anyway. This is not going to help!
This live stream is so good
Interesting insight on the ||who are you?|| line
Anyone else still have the livestream on and crying with me? Jesus....
Can’t believe she hadn’t watched it yet!
RIGHT?!
Who hadn’t watched what? Sadly at work so can’t watch the stream. I’m guessing Dedra or Bix’s actor hasn’t watched rogue one?
Bix’s actor hadn’t watched ||her goodbye to Cassian in Ep 9|| until the livestream
Ah interesting
"It's a good speech."

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck me
I'm dead.
I have died.
He starts reading it, and then slowly morphs into Cassian as it goes on...
Pretty good typing for a dead body
Thanks!
I may join you in the land of the dead later, I don’t work till 4 tomorrow so I may stay up and watch R1 after these episodes
For the caf memes
Yup. I just cried.
There’s no way this is a coincidence
Btw if you’re also disappointed by the relative lack of Andor merch, the Micro Galaxy Squadron U-Wing is a nice substitute
ABO - Always Be Orbing
Someone at Disney needs slapped for the lack of Andor merch
They could have raked in sales of stuff while the show was running
I can just imagine some exec at a meeting "Wow the new show is doing great, I bet it drove a ton of retail sales... How much did we sell?" "Sorry sir, we had nothing to sell"
I had to get MOC instructions for a Lego Fondor Haulcraft and buy a replica of Cassian’s blaster on Etsy. SMH (although I realize the blaster would be a no go these days)
Diego Luna almost got arrested for having it, because he left the prop in his hand luggage at the airport, sooooo yeah.
Yeah, I saw the Jimmy Kimmel interview
I didn't even know there was one. I just saw an X post about it.
Even things like shirts, hats, bags. I bought a S1 crossbody at the time.
There was very little Skeleton Crew or Acolyte, also. Star Wars without merch, it's insanity
For Skeleton Crew, I think the most important thing is that we got SM-33 with a removable Snowball. A hull demolition-capable Onyx Cinder would've been nice, but that's probably hard to engineer in a toy or model.
Agreed, if only because I need a Rianza set. Apparently they invented a full set of rules for it. Seems perfect for a GE release.
I’m not okay about this.
All because two corporate cops harassed a guy at a brothel
And then Syril had to be extra about it when his boss didn't feel like the paperwork for two poodooheads messing with the wrong guy.
Yeah almost all on Syril ignoring his boss. If he hadn’t those two guys deaths would have been swept under the rug, and then who knows if Cassian demands to meet/sell the starpath unit to Luthen
Life goes on as usual on Ferrix, Aldhani fails cause he wasn’t there
Important in a way he would hate lol
Lol true
But knowing Syril he’d probably misinterpret the reason for his importance.
So it’s better that “who are you?” was the last thing he heard.
I’m not sure what’s more devastating for the person that heard it. That line, or Dedra having Krennic say “if you aren’t a rebel spy you missed your calling”
It was fun placing his side trip to interrogate Dedra in the R1 timeline
I believe would have been during the sequence after he left the Death Star to go to Scarif, but before he went to beg Vader for an audience with the Emperor
So he drops a zinger on Dedra and then has Vader drop one on him lol
It would be before any part of Rogue One I think?
So it’s Tarkin who pulls the rug out from Krennic next.
But Vader has the witty line.
I swear he says something about him having to come to her interrupting a trip to Scarif
He definitely did.
But it seems pretty clear that all of Andor takes place before Cassian goes to Kafrene.
Yeah guess I’m just messing up the timeline, didn’t think he had any other reason to go to Scarif before but maybe it was a second office
An emotional look back as the cast of Andor reflect on their Star Wars journeys.

Diego: “I look cold? Oh, old” 😂
Wow I guess Kleya’s actor Elizabeth Dulau is basically a rookie actor, this was her first role
Finally time to watch the last 2 episodes
It was not her first role.
Hmm, I guess maybe just first big ticket movie gig
This probably wasn’t a well paying job.
But she has been seen by a lot of people and is part of the Star Wars universe, which is probably the best part. If she does cons and autographs etc, she might make some money.
I wonder if she renegotiated for season 2 after killing it in season 1 and there being a big pause between production
But yeah probably not
Doubtful.
Disney is known for saying ‘okay no problem we’ll write you out.’ People tend to make SAG minimum with these movies, and just take the job to be in a Star War.
(I’d do that)
Nice profile of Elizabeth Dulau in the Hollywood Reporter! Hope she gets some nice roles after her big break! https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-features/andor-elizabeth-dulau-kleya-finale-1236216087/
Sag minimum is around $15k an episode, and actors no longer get payments after their initial hire. So usually once a show is made, they don’t continue to make money even if the show continues to get viewers.
Primarily filmed in the UK. Nice tax breaks. Also filming in Spain
It’s complicated. The UK is a disaster to film in now because of brexit. The tax breaks can be useful in the EU. We made a film in the UK and in Hungary last year. Andor was on hold because of the directors guild of America, and because of the SAG strike. Anyway. Obviously I don’t know their contractual deals, but I know they were affected by the SAG strike and I know that skeleton crew had a SAG cast.
