Seems reasonable, your build is good for close range, there are certain parts of the fight that would require mid to long range that you might not be able to excel, but do let the raid leader know so that you can be assigned to adds control which you should be able to handle with ease. In any event if you are suffering from damage output due to range drop off, scorpio is always more than welcome as a supportive debuff at max stack.

Curious on peoples thoughts on no mic in the raids. I personally think no mic is a bad idea, especially when running with new people. A group that runs together regularly can get away with no mics, but otherwise I think it should be required since communication can be vital to success. just my opinion, would be interested in others.

Mics are definitely important for raids. Although there are only a select group of people that don't have mics but can carry out the lesser roles well. As long as your role doesn't require you to make constant callouts, then maintaining your own without a mic is alright, but not preferable

If you're going to go mic-less in a LFG raid then ideally do roles that don't require much coordination with the team and know the raid or at least your own role well. Otherwise, I personally think it's fine as long as you are still listening and type anything essential into raid chat.

It’s hard because of how chaotic it can get. If there’s at least 2 people that know how to work the mechanics and a little more organization to people’s placement for clearing ads, it becomes significantly easier.

Not all LFxM raids ask for Exp(erience). Just join one of them and let them know that you are new. If you are lucky the team as a whole has enough experience and dps to complete the raid, if not then try joining another raid later.

Not all groups ask for experienced only. But even if that's the case, just jump into the vc and ask if it's alright for you to join and most groups will usually be okay with it.

Hey guys, I have a question... is there a reason why you don't get the badge for the Clan IH raid or DH raid? My clan for example ran 51 minutes in the DH raid but if you look at the category "best time of the clan" and get to the point where you press "come to my clan". It doesn't work and this time (from the DH raid) is strangely in the IH raid. But we have the DH clan badge. But we don't have the IH Raid badge. Could someone please tell me why this is happening and how to fix it?

They’re bugged out. The leaderboards for the clan raid times are unfortunately super inaccurate and the clan badge for completing IH cannot be obtained.

Also when doing them count in your head one Mississippi, two Mississippi as each turn takes 1 second. That way if my count and my audible clicks don’t add up I can stop holding one short and then press one more time as it’s way easier to stop one short than have to turn 11 more times because I went one over.

So, trying to get better at the DH raid. I had what I thought was a pretty solid DPS build, but am still having a bit of trouble pulling off ad control on plate 3 on Razorback (and caught a bunch of flak last night for letting an ad slip, which I know can ruin a run). Any tips on the pattern of ads coming out of the doors at each position? I watch videos and it seems like there is a set pattern that people know and exploit

I know that on plate three they always come from the jetway first, but after that I get a little lost on it. And I heard guys calling out when the reds were coming out, which I didn’t know if it was a specific trigger for something

I think the ads first come out the corner door, however not entirely sure. I tend to place my turret by the open corner to distract the ones that come out spot.

When reds are called, it usually means that Boomer is out or is on the way out. Boomer comes out the door closest to the SAM turret so you do need to be quick. If an ad gets loose, let the other guys know so they can pick him up.

First of all, the circle 3 person should be helping you with ads, at least while the circle percentage is <80%. It is a team. I've heard some XB1 raiders are toxic so I'm not sure if this is valid criticism or not.

I try to get in cover behind the missile launcher and aim at the corner door and get the ads as they drop/after they drop, and look at the other door/side for ads every now and then, and if there are any switch over to kill them. You can also go closer and pre-aim inside the door and catch them in the corridor before the ads even jump, but this is risker.

However if you don't kill or can't kill the heavy multiple times, fair enough you will crop flak, as even a skill emp build with Capacitor can kill it if they can get there quickly.

The other option is dont do ads 3. There are 7 other positions, 5 of which are easier to do.

The chungas are no issue with my build. I can usually wipe them out pretty fast. I usually post up on the building next to the launcher and aim at the other door while listening for the audio cue of the ads coming out from the other one, but I think the distance is too far to the door I am aiming at. It does seem like it is team dependent (I have had some easy runs at the same position with a different crew), but I am taking a closer look at my builds/positioning to make sure I’m not screwing something up.

Separate question: do you guys prefer Optimist or Ranger for your weapon (AR/rifle) on the raids? I try to run without shield to use riot foam/reviver. It’s a pretty different game than the DZ (which is where I spent most of the endgame up until now)

Depends on the weapon. My lower RPM ARs I use Strained. That works for me. I think that Ranger is good as well. Rifles I use boomerang personally, especially on M1A. I mostly use turret/revive hive.

Suggestion for posting: I usually post by the cover by the door, place my turret by the open spot, if the ads come out there, I’ll see the numbers and turn around and continue to shoot them as well.

other issue is if you have a series x xbox the ravenous fires slower. if so i highly reccomend waiting and just hitting weakpoint 5 left 1 right twice and then one shot it. 99% of the time my weakpoint is broke prior to others

could you calculate the minimum dps requirement for IH first boss? Even if it takes 30 mins of straight killing, what would be the theoretical minimum dps. Furthermore the minimum number of people required for the raid, completely theoretical of course. Second boss could be done with 2 people so could 3rd (dependant on dps of course) and 4th again do able with 2. The first however possible with 3, 4 even?

the project for regulus comes after you complete the 2 projects were you donate foundry (1) and Future (2) pieces. chest and pack are only available in iron horse raid. these 2 projects will reward all blueprints for foundry and future pieces. once you complete those 2 projects, and on a fresh (reset) run, one part of the regulus will drop from each boss, and one from the crate at the end. this will then allow you to craft the regulus. it requires multiple runs of iron horse.

You can clear the IH raid with 2 dps and a healer if it weren't for the sniper alley requiring 4 total people to turn the valves. But since it does, a minimum of 4 players with varying builds is mandatory to clear the raid.

I used an Eclipse + Vile build for that, and they didn't stand a chance (Vile mask, 4p Eclipse w/ +Status, and 1p Golan with skill haste & status). I run Technician for the extra skill tier and damage to robotics, hence the Golan piece. Works great. Jammer is up in plenty of time for each wave, and Vile dot nuked them.

HW with BTSU is the most versatile. Skilled/Calculated might not proc, and if you rely on cooldowns (i.e. the build I use) in really good teams and really bad teams the cooldown will not be fast enough.

You can get up to 15 keys, need 5 to open the crate. You'll get 5 keys every reset (tuesday) and if you do it more than once in that week, you'll just get 1 more from razorback.

I’m just going to make a little post. Not just in this server, but a lot of different groups on various social media platforms, I come across a lot of people asking for help in the raids. I love raiding, it’s all I do. I love teaching roles and helping people through for their first time.

We all were at one point, someone looking to raid. We all grinded for gear to make it easier and get through the raids. If you are someone who wants to raid, or just wants the exotics. Please take the time to work for it and prepare yourself. Carries are not fun. Carries are not easy. You do not need any specific gear, or named items, or special talents if it is your first time. The key component is going to be crit chance and crit damage. Certain weapons and talents and gear can help, but again, they are not at all required. Work with the team to help get to the end. Don’t make the team work extra to get you through.

Can’t agree more @frosty mesa @tough trench. I started with a group that have very limited exp so I just asked them to put on HF with 1/2 blue. The first time we had to open RB 16 times to complete it. Now team is familiar with the mechanics and builds have improved so can do DH within 1hr.

I’d suggest try different roles as you get more experience so can be more useful for the team. for DH like kiter and drone roles that are really essential and helpful

I highly recommend staying with the full meta jacket listed in the builds section over strikers . I think my guy did it with 75% or something. If you’re low, you just have to be good at the feedback loop and get your pulse back. My first time, I kept getting the timing messed up because I was nervous. We cleared, but I think I pulsed 3 to 4 times every Razorback open.

Most people who are running a dps role will more than likely be running Vigilance as well. If you are running Unbreakable alongside Vigilance, whenever you drop Vigilance, you are essentially playing w/o a damage talent active at all on your build. I also believe that Unbreakable almost encourages face-tanking behavior which further increases the chances of dropping Vigilance.

Just keep on mind that you just need one person with vigilance for the hole group, same way you can put one designated person to use tardigrade and you get it to the team.

50CHC/150CHD is just a suggested standard for players new to the raids to have to make things a bit easier for them as well as the raid team. I probably have somewhere between 20%-30% CHC on my main raid DPS build but 200+ HSD to make up for it. But yeah, those suggested stats will definitely more than get you through IH as well 👍🏻

PGC is just something you’ll have to learn to play with in raids and over time you’ll die less/take less dmg. If you’re uncomfortable with PGC, I highly suggest focus if you’re using rifles like an m1a often. Otherwise, even obliterate can be an option if you’re more of an AR user.

neither are good options for 2 reasons:

1. in raids the range in which you tend to engage is mid to long range - thus making HF builds to be somewhat ineffective
2. skill builds are bad overall. Some bosses can't be targeted during certain phases so there's that, but the main issue is the lack of burst dmg, if you're taking the better part of a minute to kill an NPC, that NPC gonna cause trouble for your entire team

After saying that you have 2 options:
either do whatever you like and most likely get carried by your team
or simply go over to #td2-build-advice look at the pinned comment, pick whatever build you like which has DPS and utilize a mid to long range weapons and you'll be good

SHD level 100% does not matter. Don’t buy into it. If teams require you to have some level, they don’t know how to run it. Worry about your build. 50%crit chance/150%crit damage is all you need.

It’s cause LFGs believe that shooting the bullet with a normal weapon causes the RPGs to bug out when in reality, it really isn’t what causes that bug.

They are dealing with 2-3 enemies spawn every few seconds, big guys on first and last phase, snipers, lasers, bombarding, most times needing to be out of cover... While you're just getting 1 guy and shoot a rocket, and if you're being useful throw your decoy.
There's always one way or another to help, that's called teamwork.

As Adler said, that’s what causes the bug. But imo, just go with it and let the guy rage. If you are to correct someone or teach someone something new in LFG, they’ll likely just tell you that you are wrong and won’t listen anyways. Hence why I rarely host/lead LFG raids anymore. Very seldom you will get people that are actually open to listening.

Exclusively at morozowa. And not like "good". They are useful, if you do everything right.
For example: it's hard to cover any NPC spawn doors, because many NPCs will be red/purple.
But, It's really effective as stagger tank or rpg guy, because you take very little damage from rpg-lady, morozowa, green lasers, train-mortar and turret in the middle.
Watchout for snipers tho, they are red/purple only.

Honestly, you're better off just hopping into a RV channel when someone says they are LFM. Just be clear that you're new (but prepared), and most folks are happy to help you through the basics.

There are plenty of opportunities in the raid fights for someone to just "stand here and shoot the bad guys" while others do the more advanced parts.

What’s with these posts. I see this all over. “Haven’t raided in awhile, any new strats?”. Not trying to be mean. There are always new ways being discovered and what not. Old ways work fine too. 1 shot builds for bosses. Grey can be defeated in like 3 seconds. Fieser can be 1 shotted. Williams and Morozova can be spedrun. A lot of different ways to do all bosses.

The easy methods need 8 people with specific roles and builds so in turn are not easy to have the required people present to do them. Planning and preparation make things easy and it’s not something one person can do

That would depend on the raid. For DH red DPS builds is the way to go, aside for a dedicated jammer for razorback, for IH - well it will vary depending on the person you're asking. Generally speaking tho, a healer is needed through the entire raid, while a tank is required for some encounters

Matchmake only works on discovery level Raid. That's usually 'good' to get to know the places, but not that much the mechanics.

Ita better to look for a group on Normal level that are willing to teach and guide you through.

Could anyone give me some tips about doing the Iron Horse raid for the first time? (videos/etc.) I've done DH and have ok builds but I wasn't sure if there's one I should work on that can be used in the raid. In DH usually I go full DPS and I wasn't sure if I needed something more specialized for Iron Horse

@zinc lantern if you are new to IH and solid Red DPS build is good for a first timer. Just have on chest Unbreakable ideally, and be willing to wear coyote mask or Tardigrade if asked.

And go grenadier specialisation its a must for IH especially for new players will help you survive all the explosion spam.

Now keep an eye out for a fresh IH and just pop in and ask if they are willing to carry/show you the raid and good luck. (p.s. google Division 2 Iron Horse Raid bosses will get you fimiliar with stuff also)

Need an advice about healer build. Is it worth to go for BTSU, but not full FI set (haven't completed raid yet), or just run 4 FI and, for now, farm other exotics?
Would i run run BTSU just to recharge reviver hives? (And mine, but on 120s cd?)
Are there any raid mechanics that will require me to do it in very specific moments? Like, some DPS check or smth like that?

For raids the best option is the 4 piece Future, BTSU and a Safeguard or Opportunistic backpack. The team buff is just too good to ignore, but you can make a great Yellow healer build too.

You can absolutely get started healing with the open world FI pieces, and a good Alps & Murakami (or Hana U) chest and backpack. BTSU are ideal obviously, but I would take 4 FI pieces over BTSU if I hadn't done the raid before.

The overcharging is nice to have, but again, you can get by without it. I mostly use it to reset Reviver Hives for reckless teammates, or for specific cases when I know we're moving and I won't have time to go manually pick my Hive up from where I dropped it.

If you're just focusing on healing, there isn't really anything else that makes much sense. You could technically run Tardigrade I suppose, as the proc on it can help save your teammates, but I would still rather have a good yellow chest over that. You don't always have to have an exotic on, especially not in the raid.

Though, if you don't have a Scorpio, I would definitely focus on getting one of those. Aside from any gun with the Restoration perk, shooting enemies as a healer is pretty pointless. Scorpio, at least, debuffs enemies and stuns them, which goes great with the mentality of a healer play style. It's also the perfect choice if you find a backpack with Opportunistic on it.

Thankfully, scorpio was my first exotic in the game with somewhat okay rolls, i guess. (13.6, 9.0).
So, for now, my next "upgrade" is the raid chest piece?

Good for you! And, as a healer, the rolls on your Scorpio barely matter. You're just shooting to help your teammates (the damage dealers) do their job better. If you get a better one, great. If not, any Scorpio is better than any max-rolled yellow weapon.

And I would say so, yep! If you already have a decent yellow chest and backpack, find a raid and let them know you need a FI chest. Most players are happy to share pieces they don't need, especially for the healer types. 🙂

Either roll the dice once weekly with boss drops for chest/backpack if you need it after initial project, or, roll the dice by crafting a few of it with the mats. Foxes prayer kneepads, a good rolled AR and M1A, dodgecity holster and a D50, a hazpro tank build helps for roles at IH.
Shrapnel trap, Achilles pulse, and explosive sticky are super handy to have as well.

Yeah like Stellar and I both said earlier, if you take too long for a code, you will start taking direct health damage regardless of your resistances and even if you exit and re-enter the forge.

When you shoot the wrong codes too many times it will trigger taking health damage anytime your inside until you wipe. So if your just reading codes from the airlock you might not notice it's triggered until you go in for water.

And IIRC shooting boxes before you even start counts so if your taking a long time to explain the encounter to new people and someone is shooting red boxes a lot while explaining you can trigger it pretty much immediately.

In our clan, we discuss the problem of wrong codes if you shoot on the fuse boxes with an exo (eg scorpion shotgun). We know that codes might change from time to time. But is it right that you must not shoot with an exo to avoid problems with the codes?

Don’t shoot with a multi pelleted weapon. It will trigger a proper code and then multiple error codes causing codes to change and spawn faster.

Certain mechanics do require specialized builds but those will most certainly be covered by more experienced players if your doing LFG’s. Your best bet is to get a decent AR/Rifle build going and if ya wanna be more helpful then a decent tank build would be nice for key tanking at the end of IH.

It depends on the group you're with. Any group of experienced players should be able to accommodate a person or 2 regardless of build. With that being said typically you'll be fine with an all red build with 50 crit chance and 150+ crit damage

I managed to do 103M dmg (7/10 bars) on Dizzy with a regulus headshot on an Achilles mark and it got me wondering if it's possible.

You can hold 15? Keys at a time. 4 per week per character. Razorback always drops a key. Just keep grinding, find some people who have it and can open to help.

Every random lfg runs different strats. A lot of them are a mix of old metas and current speedrun metas.
The best thing you can do to prepare for random lfgs is get a solid red build (50%+ chc 150%+chd w/foxes prayer) and be honest about learning.
If you enter a RV and say "Hey, I'm still kinda new and want to learn X", 9/10 we're willing to help you learn.
If you come in acting like you know everything from a few YT vids from streamers that got carried, we're just gonna let you practice your Face First on the Floor build.

Ok raids are 8 player PvE, the bosses (there are 4 in each raid) have more mechanics than shoot them for example 2 hp bars must be dpsed evenly or a code that is read out by one guy must be found by the others.

Requirements:
Willingness to listen and learn
A all red dps build - preferably AR or rifle (especially for IH)
- look for 55 to 60 CHC and 150+ CHD no glass canon preferably unbreakable
- don't use the memento, it's good but hard for you to keep the kills up because the adds come in waves

the #lfg-raid-pc is where to go. wait for someone to say rv(number) then the raid name (IH - Iron Horse or DH Dark Hours) You don't need to say anything in that TC just join the correct VC (RV12 = Raid Voice 12) once your in the VC just tell them you are new, they will take it from there (some but few dickheads will ask you to leave because they want to do a quick raid, but just wait for the next)

Why:
3 raid exclusive exotics (Eagle Bearer(from DH), Rav(from IH) and Reg(From some project you will get after competing the raid once))
the Chest and backpack pieces for FB and FI
Fun

The loot:
EB - AR decent (I don't use it) but is a good pick
Rav - Rifle decent again really good for thick bois, and is used in IH to stagger the boss
Reg - Plain op and fun, used to kill entire squads as they spawn. Or one shot DH bosses

Things to Note:
The raid drops only drop (from the bosses) once a week (reset on the Tuesday)
There is a chest at the end that needs 5 keys to open
4 keys are found throughout the raid and only reset when the raid drops do
The last key is from the final boss and will always drop
The chest always drops raid loot even if you open it by killing the last boss 5 times after your reset of the week
Resets are character specific

TLDR:
Raids are fun, and drop some cool stuff. go to #lfg-raid-pc or whatever devise you are on
Start with DH it's the easier one mechanic wise

No reason to flex. Just raid and have fun. Key tank is easy and no special strata. Just tank, collect keys, go to Vindicator. Boss 2 depends on how it’s ran. A lot of teams lately are burning rockets on C side so you’ll get 2 on A. DPS player goes on A airlock and does boss damage, rockets, and weak points. 1 person solos power upstairs. Rocket guy swaps to haz pro manually and runs in for hose. Not too familiar with the method but I’ve seen it the last 5 or so runs.

Hazpro only mitigates feisers flamethrower. If it’s a DPS shooting water their most likely just using a drone or decoy to keep feisers attention and taking off PGC before running in to do the water. Hazpro is only really needed if your using a tank for feiser to read codes and pre damage.

Not necessarily just left. A mix of left and right because you wanna do enough damage to take 5.9 bars of armour off him by the time lava pours.

Make sure you have max burn resist, which isn't 100% but I think 92ish? Demo spec helps with that.

You can set up the armor cores a couple different ways. You can go full blue and regen, which is good for slower/casual LFG runs, but since you won't have enough damage to break his backpack you'll need to be let out during his wipe. You can go right back in though and prevent glass breaking if you want to still though.

Other way is 2-4 red cores, intimidate and adrenaline rush, and you can bring the boss down to just over 4 bars to prep him for the burn phase. It's easy to stop his wipe, but if the group is slow it can be a pain keeping yourself alive for ages inside, although it can still be done.

And Rav is key to the whole thing with the bonus armor it gives you.

You just need to do enough damage to cancel Fieser wipe, which is doable with full blue armor build, you just have to shoot harder to do enough damage with offensive talents like Intimidate & Adrenaline Rush/Versatile; but having a bit of red core will allows you to reach the damage threshold faster/easier.
