It's an end-game content for 8 men group. Probably the most hard one due to the organization involve. The raid has some mechanics you need to be aware of too @hard spade . To get in one you need to be WT5 at GS 490 at least

@hard spade Raid is an 8 player pve activity, probably the most difficult in the game... You have to reach world tier 5 and gear score of at least 490 to play the raid... And of course you'll need specific builds to get through it with your team efficiently.

For the first raid runs a Unbreakable build is recommended, around 300k armor and 80k health, as much weapon damage and DTE as you can get and some hazard protection.

It's a talent on chests, restores your armor when it's down to 0. Can happen every 60 secs afaik, normal unbreakable restores 70% and perfect unbreakable from badger tuffs ZeroF restores 100%. Needs 11 blues to activate.

@small lion, if you are thinking of making an ace's and Eights build, try and get a good svd (marksman rifle, motherlylove gloves with the highest marksman rifle damage, think it's 13%, you only need 4 pieces of Ace's and Eights gear to make it work, oh and perfect vigilantes on your vest.

Razorback is a joke in discovery. Doesn’t teach you how to actually DO the mechanics, just how to kill the boss. No real warning of the nuke or how to do all 4 gens at once

In weasel, you have to do the panels or the poison will kill you.
In buddy and Lucy, the leeway for health differences is much smaller.
For razerback, you have to get in the circles at the same time to open up razerback. 2 chungus spawns after 50% of razerback is destroyed.

If they weren't changing the mechanics they should have atleast given pop up tutorials explaining the differences for each boss encounter so that players understand what to expect in the normal raid. @broken cargo i disagree. Although discovery teach the mechanics all wrong, doind the raid without bleed builds is easy if the team communicate properly and have semi- decent builds. The raid wasn't meant for speedrunners and i personally run through it a lot before ppl thought about speeding the process. Imo most of the raids that are failing, failing because of lack of communication

To those that don’t believe it’s worth it .. I disagree . For me it wasn’t the eb . It was all 8 of us working together . I made a bunch of gaming friends raiding . It’s a huge accomplishment in game especially back when it started . We were happy to run it in 35 minutes . No you don’t have to run a 44 million hit bleed build to beat it . It helps to shorten the fights for sure . But I really like running it

Oh ok. It's a weird term that actually mean "over damage". There are 2 type of so called "bleed" builds. One use the nemesis for the first 3 bosses and the other one utilize the TAC 50 for Razorback. These builds are not including any gearset pieces at all. Since you only have 2 weeks ish until gear 2.0 comes out, and since these builds require huge amount of farming - i suggest you to forget about it for now @snow kindle

Skillbuilds are mostly to farm npcs. In the raid, the enemies are not very likely to be farmed. There are some skills used like stingerhive for bleeding but most of the time, dps/aces with reviverhive and some sort of defense like defender or fixer drone are better overall, from what I experienced so far

I always recomend having 2-3 builds for the raid. They dont have to be perfect but should work well (high dps) First Build AR HS/Crit Build, Second Build: Sniper SVD and Nemesis And third one if possible 4pc Aces and Eights and then it should be just fine with most of the groups

No computers on boomer, no poison gas on Weasel, Buddy and Lucy are just far easier in general, Razorback genuinely requires no coordination. I’ve literally done all of the damage to Razorback before in a discovery raid

Really isn’t a minimum armor amount, assuming you’re killing stuff quickly. Would try for at least 60k health. Damage amount depends on which guns you’re using

probably 70+ dte, 20+ awd, 50+ wd for specific weapon and you are good to go, most don't have it, so you can probably do with less. And don't waste too much time with farming, it will be crap in 3 weeks anyway

You can spam as long as you know you'll hit. But you call out either aces or reload. 4 of a kind does not need called out.
If you're hitting hard enough it might be better to slow it down and hit your headshots, especially when you can 2 or 3 shot the elites.

You can spam or get close to an aces roll and hold the proc until someone needs it

Keep roll it. But make sure you proc it at the right time, to be specific you should try and proc it on the bosses only (everything i'm gonna say right now is under the assumption that you running with a SOLID group who actually knows what they're doing). On the rooms before each boss (tarmac, contaminated) make sure you stop using a MMR after you have one of the combination:
- 1 Ace, 1 Eight, 1 random card
- 2 Aces, 1 Eight, 1 random card
- 2 Eights, 1 Aces, 1 random card
Keep flippin cards until you got one of those combination and then switch weapon (to another type. I personally use the EB/AR). On each boss try to enter the fight with Aces prepared (again one of the combination above) and proc it when requested. Your build should be able to deal dmg even when not using MMR so i advise to do some investment into your favorite secondary weapon

2 phase razorback cause the front typically run TOTS and we’re missing a tac 50. 2 people at the front take care of the 2nd wave of drones. We then destroy it and run out. Tried to one phase it in discovery but someone shot early
Also one guy with opportunistic keeps hitting a weak point at the front. Then we run back, heal then get on. The heavies typically die before they reach the launcher

On normal it’s all different. On boomer the computers activate, he destroys the turrets, bullet spongy
On weasel gas affects you, gun icon goes to 20 then poison, more bullet sponginess
On buddy and Lucy you have a smaller window to do damage to them and more bullet sponginess
On razorback the towers up for 15 secs, you can only do 25% damage and the weak points take more damage. Drones really whoop your a**. And 2 heavies come out after 50% damage. 2 missions are launched at you and more bullet sponginess

We seriously did razorback 4 people. All running aces, took 12 phases, we did damage in the 1st phase, 2-4th we collected spec ammo, 5th phase we did 50% damage. 6-8th phase we collected more spec ammo, 9th phase person at 4 did drone control and we did 75% damage. 10-11th phase collected more spec ammo. 12th phase we did 100% damage and destroyed our stations. We did crossfire with the nemesis to help. Heavies were on 1 and 2. Killed them and clutched it. Person on 3 died so 2 and 4 helped
Maybe a 4 man weasel is possible but only in discovery

Weasel: There are two sides to the plane, one side has purple gas and the other has orange. You can only do damage in the orange gas. In order to switch the gas you press a button on each side of the plane (it will be green) you have to press them at the same time. If the gas goes up to 20 you’ll take poison damage (which goes straight to health) if you’re in the purple, you’ll get confused if you’re in the orange

Maybe? I definitely wouldn’t recommend trying it until you have a couple completions and know what you’re doing
Lucy and Buddy: These are both dogs. Lucy does a spin (she’ll do two complete circles) that will instantly down you and then kill you. Buddy basically constantly heals. He also throws seekers that will knock you out of cover when Lucy is spinning. He only throws them when they squat down. They both squat at the same time, so when they squat Lucy will be getting ready to spin. Buddy also releases a poison cloud (straight health damage), and occasionally deploys an emp that will instantly destroy skills. On their health bars there is a white bar, you want to keep their health bars in the white bars by damage them evenly. Normally it’s best to keep buddy slightly below Lucy since he’ll heal. If their health gets too far apart they’ll overcharge, to to the middle and both of them will heal. Overcharging doesn’t always mean you’ll wipe, but depending on how much they heal it likely will. When they get low enough (generally two bars is low enough) wait for them to squat down and then kill them (Buddy first, if you kill Lucy first buddy will go in to overdrive and constantly heal, which isn’t impossible to beat but requires insanely high dps as a team)

Sorry, I’ll give an explanation for the last boss in a second. As far the hardest, I’d say Lucy and Buddy, then Boomer, then Razorback, then Weasel
Lucy and Buddy requires pretty good coordination, Boomer is just hard because you can easily be flanked by ads. You can hop in cover to hide from one ad and heal up, but if you’re not put together and controlling ads they can easily be behind you as well
^ Both of those are also time based. Take too long on Boomer and he destroys the turrets needed to do damage. Take too long on Lucy and and Buddy they go into overcharge/overdrive, making buddy constantly heal
Although Razorback is the final boss it’s far easier than Lucy and Buddy since it doesn’t require as much finesse. Far easier than boomer since only two ads spawn at a time. Assuming everyone is holding their own you’ll basically never get overwhelmed or flanked by enemies that you weren’t aware of. Except for the dogs. And although Razorback isn’t technically timed, it gets harder as it goes on. The longer you go the more dogs spawn, first purple, then elite

Razorback: It’s generally best to decide positions prior to going down, once you do you’ll go down and clear the ads that are there. Don’t go on the gens (the circles on the gray/grey pad). Until you step on the gen for the first time, no more ads will spawn. Once you’ve cleared them and everyone is in their position, someone will do a count, “3,2,1, on gens” or smth like that. Everyone that is assigned to gens will step on at the same time. The gens will then start to count up to 100%. You’re allowed to be 20% apart and not mess up damage phase. Once it reaches 100% Razorback will open up, but don’t step off the gen. Directly in the middle of Razorback (eye-level), you’ll want to shoot this out (hitting it with a crossbow will instantly destroy it). Then you want to throw a grenade in the hole where the panel was. A normal grenade (concussion grenade I think is the name). After this is completed on the front and back the circle underneath you will disappear. Then you can step off of the gen. You’ll have to do this every time in order to do damage to Razorback.
On the front (the side with the window you jumped down from) there will be panels on the left and right side of Razorback. Any damage done to these will remain until both are destroyed and you do damage to Razorback. It’s best to use tac-50 to destroy these panels. The back is basically the same except the panels are on the top of Razorback and directly in the middle. These are also easier to destroy. You can only do damage in 1/4 intervals. (Assuming no one is doing overdamage).
Every so often a heavy will spawn and run to the SAM sites in the corners, you’ll have a few seconds to kill him, if you don’t he’ll launch missiles that will kill everyone. Causing you to wipe and restart. After you get Razorback down to half health there will be two heavies that spawn (at different SAM sites). After you get Razorback down to 0 health go back to your SAM site. Then when it starts to blink you shoot it. Directly in the middle where the button is. If you don’t destroy it in time then missiles will launch and you’ll wipe and have to start again. After you’ve destroyed each SAM turret that’s the end. You’ve completed the raid :’)

Doing computers is better. Otherwise the NPCs might become a problem for the team while the nodes are up, Boomer might be in position to be downed but the nodes are up or the turret overheated taking the nodes down so you're not able to down boomer etc, so if possible don't let the nodes come up again.

But holy f*** SH*T DUDE, I'm surprised that we didn't even wipe on the very first stage when getting into the airport goddamn. We doing the raid for the challenge and the fun it provides @sharp dew not for the exotic. The hardcore players do it in 10 min or even less simply because the raid itself doesn't challenge them anymore. But don't expect to just do it too. You'll need very specific builds & a good group who practice together for a while to achieve that. At your stage of the game (by the impression i got from your msg) all you have to do is just raid for fun. There're numerous guides on the net for all of the mechanics just make sure your team familiar with them. In my exp, most raids fail because of lack of communication. Make sure everyone is on comms, and that there's one reletivly exp player who give orders - that's all it takes for a successful raid. Good luck

You missed my point i think. How good is your build isn't the question. You can do the raid with all 8 ppl running TP gear sets (it has been done before). Communication & knowledge is the key here. Also getting Boomer down in one or 2 fases require a certain build. Don't even try to achieve that. Kill him in the 'old' way (everyone focus him when he's kneeling)

Yeah it's all about practice, learning the mechanics and how to react in a split second if something doesn't go as planned, which it always will, being able to read your team and realize what to change where to make it work etc.. Just have fun in your first runs and get a feel for everything. Maybe run discovery more often, you might find someone via the matchmaking who is willed to lead your team and teach you.

"Keep roll it. But make sure you proc it at the right time, to be specific you should try and proc it on the bosses only (everything i'm gonna say right now is under the assumption that you running with a SOLID group who actually knows what they're doing). On the rooms before each boss (tarmac, contaminated) make sure you stop using a MMR after you have one of the combination:
- 1 Ace, 1 Eight, 1 random card
- 2 Aces, 1 Eight, 1 random card
- 2 Eights, 1 Aces, 1 random card
Keep flippin cards until you got one of those combination and then switch weapon (to another type. I personally use the EB/AR). On each boss try to enter the fight with Aces prepared (again one of the combination above) and proc it when requested. Your build should be able to deal dmg even when not using MMR so i advise to do some investment into your favorite secondary weapon"

So good luck @south solstice if u want to get one without finishing the raid. Finishing isn´t too hard, and since most people who do the raid on a regular basis have several EB its not too hard to find somebody that gives his away...😉

Obviously I in do the full raid. I'm just saying that after seeing videos of people doing, it's hard to it, specially in a random group where not everybody is strong enough or know what they are doing. So I'm guessing there will be need 3/4 hours to a group like that do it and sometimes I don't have that time during the week.

You just can get your build ready, watch the vids and listen to the players on the lfg it should take you about 15-50 mins to finish the raid in the exp groups. We finished yesterday in about 50mins by 6/8 only using pistols

Nah, tried it. Someone told me relogging works and it worked once but it's LFG, people bound to leave or sometimes you relog, you're out of the raid group entirely, hence redoing it all over again

depends on the group. A good with good DPS and no wipes, maybe 20-30mins. A group that has wipes a lot, could be hour or 2. I'd dedicate at least an hr if your going to do it

Nope. The NPC will have 5-6 options to go to (can't remember the exact number). You're looking for the one called Operation Dark Hours (has a yellow icon). You'll have to be at GS 490 or above btw

i do at the very least run the discovery version of the raid before before doing a normal. It will give you a little bit of insight on how the fights "kinda" work. Bout the only one it does a bad job on is Razorback

That's incorrect. Weasel has some changes too (and i'd argue that all of the bosses work differently, but that's my personal opinion). Good advice tho, @past vapor watch a guide or two OR ask for someone to explain the mechanics to you unless you want to suffer a bit of course 🙂

i don't believe i've seen any mention about it, im bringing forward a full stack of keys as a "just in case it does" much like im bringing forward the crafting mats for each of the 4 craftable exotics "just in case"

@loud vessel Since there will be 2 versions of the raid (lvl 30 and lvl 40) i'd assume the keys you already have won't work on the lvl 30 version. Although as @smoky tapir said nothing is confirm yet

I think to get to a sweet spot of dmg with a rifle is stack a bunch of headshot dmg with a big of rifle dmg, with that in mind aces may not be the best if your going for straight damage but I may be wrong as I’m not a rifle/marksman player

my clan completed Razorback yesterday and we had 2 dedicated healers running Hive / chem launcher doing circles to help when we did DPS. Myself and another clan member was running Jammer pulse for Drone / Warhound duty on DPS phases. We also had a guy running the exotic chest for those clutch bouns armor heals on armor break.
@azure fossil I can confirm this the Chungus DO NOT have armor on their BOOTYHOLE so you can shoot them there and bypass the armor

that means people got used to those tactics for it, I actually bet some new builds like healers or tanks can actually be quite useful

Looking for some advice on the raid under TU8 - Our group had many clears in Tu6/Tu7 and last night we attempted to basically try our old strategy and see how it worked out essentially with DPS builds primarily. While it certainly gave us a run for our money, Razorback was impossible and wondering if other groups have suggested builds and strategies for it.

How much are ppl willing to teach new ppl the raid? I never did the raid when it came out cuz I never had ppl to play with and my gear build was never that good. I recently came back after months break cuz of the Title update 8 overhaul.

@tidal oar Zero skill tier. It is different now. A zero skill dps build with zero skill damage can run emp pulse and take out the drones.

i am aware, but I am genuinely curious on what the best hitters are using on the weakpoints and "eye" for maximum damage. As I understood it from TU7, the rumor/fact was the weakpoints or "fins" were armor damage and the "eye" or main damage point was health damage -- just as an example

The thing with this hits especially hard if you don't have the New York DLC, I used to run the raid regularly now it's impossible to run it for me because I legit cannot find a group for the level 30 raid and I cannot compete in the level 40 one since there is no upscaling

I don’t believe so. Tac doesn’t work on weak points and (I’m assuming you mean the grenade launcher) doesn’t appear to work anymore either. They just go right through

Grenade launcher no longer works on drones as it did . But if you wait till they lower you can splash the ground and they kill them

apparently a tank running Bulwark shield can take that headon. It basically takes of half the health of the shield on each spin. I've personally experienced that on Normal raid. not sure if any other type of shields can survive it though

@bitter gulch you get 1 gear set blueprint that you havent already got from each of the 3 bosses once per week. I think A&8 backpacks and chests can drop at any boss any time. So if you are lucky and the A&8 backpack blueprint straight away, then you can start crafting them yourself

i've played raid more than twice and we always end up disbanding at B&L

Kill em both equally and fully, the transparent bar is your guide
If either of their hp (B&L) goes past it, an overcharge will activate. This heals them back immensely
You can cancel this overcharge by interacting with both laptops on the table facing each other in the middle of the arena

Buddy and lucy is a stress test on groups, i would recomend to split them lucy in front with 3 players doing damage and buddy in the back with 5 players. Always take buddy as reference an keep up on lucy. Kill them both at them same time. Its not that hard just stay relaxed and dont get stressend

good tactic for Buddy: keep damaging him if possible when ever Lucy spins: this way u counter his Heal he gets after her spin. Found that beeing the biggest issue in random groups, tho.
