On my tips I run currently run 11-0-12. 219k armor and 27k health. I might go down once in a raid if someone isn't doing their job. Best way to put it is play with whatever your comfortable with.

I'm also on PC which makes a world of difference. In the end if you are on the floor you aren't doing anything to keep that buff up.

you need 60-70k HP in the raid to survive the poison phase (without taking damage) in PUGs, everything else is up to you

it must have been most likely an Aces Perfect Vigilance build

lets assume this guy has god roll everything:
16 on the chest
12 on backpack
5 devastating
lets assume he has 10 offensive mod slots with god roll mods so 10*2 = 20
total 53 AWD

Maybe a visual bug. My Aces builds have around 70MMR and 36AWD (both give or take some, from memory) and my SVDs get to around 103K as well. So 66AWD would bring the damage way higher than 103K.

Ya, that's expected on aces svd raid builds. Quite common now. But the pure 66% awd number that's displayed on stats screen seems unrealistic. Even though ofcourse weapon damage from talents such as vigilance n spark does get added to that number eventually, it just doesn't usually show up in the stats screen.

or maybe.....since you were inspecting him, maybe when those talents are proced, that number does update itself to reflect those bonuses? I've personally never paid attention in that scenario.
but if it does that, then yes 66% is quite possible

Survivability as Tips player: Try the healer mine. You go for max 3K skill power anyway and once you got there you can use the mender mine where needed and it heals you like crazy when it's maxed out. I know some tips players running normal paced raids basically running around RB shooting and healing themselves and teammates with it all the time.

@formal compass ideally the purpose of the aces player is to proc aces at the right time. but these days, aces build is a high DPS build, so usually multiple people run it. in that cases, its fine if you don't focus on pocketing an aces, and just keep shooting

but when you are the sole person in a raid, then your job would be have an AR focused Aces build. where you use AR or some other weapon to do DPS, but use svd to proc and pocket aces

#

flip 4 cards, and look at them, if they are 2 As and 1 8 or 2 8s and 1 A, then its guaranteed to be an Aces and 8s hand. so at that moment, you should switch to your other weapon to continue with the encounter.

when the time is right, and aces is needed, you switch over to svd to proc it

@pulsar crater just my opinion but first I would get in a raid clan . Play together , have fun meet new people and enjoy the raid . The eagle bearer is just the cherry on top . Hell half of us speed running don’t even use it anymore . I feel most would be amazed if you all worked together the feeling of beating it fair and square is awesome . I see many getting cheez carries and just doesn’t make sense to me but to each is own

@junior umbra pro players has a specific build for each boss in the raid. but since you're new it doesn't really matter. make sure you have a decent AR/DPS build (dmg is more important then health/armor) and have fun... make sure ppl know it's your first/couple firsts raid. its makes for good manners plus there's nothing more frustrating then a guy who join a raid and doesn't know what to do

you can only share the gear with someone that you acquired while grouped up with them. there's a time limit for which you can share the gear. so even if you disband and group up again with that person within the time limit, you can share the gear with them

any gear acquired while the 2 of your were grouped, you can share. that does include the raid specific gear set that were recently opened up to drop outside of raid (i assume thats what your main concern it)

also, if you open a cache, it's tied to whoever you were playing with when you got it

Baffles me that one, you don’t go into war without ammo.

It’s like they don’t want us to speed run anymore? The times have already been set and now seem unrealistic to catch with the current changes imo. Maybe it comes down to better timings different builds and adjusting the strats slightly.

there isn't a hard number for that, but obviously as high as you can go on both. if you can do 2M+ dps, thats great. armor should be enough for you stay alive. around 200k is good enough, depending on your playstyle

@north spear if your new to raid I recommend you have health as well . I do agree with above about all reds and kill fast but to a raid noob that won’t work and will just frustrate you . Try to get at least 77 percent dte , ar at least 22k , armor at 210 and health at 90k . This will give you a start

@verbal mist SSD fast travel is not really needed for around 10 if your guys drop booster hive here and there. Once you have the one-shots dialed in then the trash mobs are the biggest time wasters, at least they were for us. Once we switched to skill builds and demos for trash mobs we got way faster even without fast travel.

On console you replace your default hard drive with a SSD for faster loading times. Then in a speed raid players fast travel to the user in front, which is usually the Tips player who also often drops a booster hive at the spawn points so everyone landing there gets a boost right away. Makes the run a bit faster and give people time to switch loadouts without losing time and such.

the raid keys? well the 5th key that razerback drops is a guaranteed drop. so you can repeat the raid to get at least 1 guaranteed key each time. the boxes still grant keys on weekly basis, so just 4

@dawn crypt when u land the aces buff, your entire group gets that buff. 100% bonus damage to next 5 shots. So when folks have optimised nemesis builds that do like 10M damage on their own, that buff boosts it to 20M. That's what's good about aces.
Besides that, it's got a lot of red mods slot, so u can also make a high dps svd build on it with 5% or more mmr damage mods

@tribal jackal if you are having hard time finding a group in lfg channels, ur best bet would be to find an Xbox based clan. Look out for clan recruitment posts and get in touch with those people. If not this server, try the other division server for clan recruitment posts.

I just want to say thanks for ya'll helping out. Things are not going well for me but I just want you guys to know I am thankful to have the help I have had. The first run of a week you 2 bits of loot from each boss and 8 of Razorback.
Any run after that will drop 4 bits of loot from each boss and 16 of Razorback.
The key boxes can only be done once weekly but the final loot box can be opened after each run, but you must have 5 keys for it

@cosmic vault u can run unlimited amount of time per week.Raid loot have high stat drops..but that doesnt mean its gonna drop brand/stats/talent u need, since it spitting all brands and basicly all gs500 items in game. Lets say u need Airaldi backpack with 2red and spark/hard hitting.U just focus on targeted loot Airaldi since it has just 6 pieces of that brand to drop till u get what u need.In raid u have all items/brands in loot pool so probably gonna take forever.From other side if u have good group(lets say clan) that wanna run raids over and over and get it done under 15-20mins constantly...ur chance are big that some1 from 8 people gonna have a drop that u need.But again targeted loot i think its faster..expecially if its heroic mission..

@scenic stump @shadow pasture i don't know about Xbox & PS playerbase but on PC usually the most exp player/the one who started the raid do the guidance (respectfully of course). why don't you try to figure out if the group you're in knows the mechanics before hand and maybe spend a min or two to discuss strategies before you even start the raid? it doesn't have to be on comms also it sure be nice

Discovery raid has simplified mechanics so that it's possible without voice comms. For normal mode, you really want comms unless you've run with that team a lot

regard to your question: The mechanics on Normal difficulty are slightly more difficult. - The nodes on boomer will try to get up every 40 sec ish

The Panels on Weasel have to be pressed at the exact same time
The gas on Weasel will reach lvl 20 which cause disorientation
Buddy & Lucy "brackets" are more compact
The 4 circles on Razorback has to be entered at the same time and charge at the same time too
When Razorback on half health 2 Heavies will spawn to trigger the wipe mechanic instead on just 1

oh and you get more ads to kill and the bosses & ads health/armor poll are bigger

Here's a good tip, if it's your first time doing the raid, make it known to the raid leader that you are new and this is your first time. If they will take you, listen to their instructions.

Do not try to fake your way through the raid because there is no such thing as "fake it till you make it." When you hit razerback, the difference between knowing what's going on and absolutely no clue is obvious.

Guys, I've been trying to set a build looking forward to the raid (haven't done it yet), and I'm there so far :

327k armor
77k health
25 weapon damage
54 AR damage
91 DTE
35 Protection from elites
72 Hazard Protection

From what I hear it's a bit short on health, but do you guys think it's viable or should I keep grinding?

More is always better, but usually 60/70k are enough if the Weasel encounter doesn't last way too long. Plus you got good hazard protection on top. All in all it looks decent enough really, depending on the team you run with.
I would try to get some more armor, some more weapon and ar damage and I would fit some explosive resistance in if possible, since more is always better ;)

Ensure both are the same kind of talent, some show a circle, some a circle with an arrow in it. You can only replace a talent with the same kind of talent. Also ensure none of them are on a named item, perfect talents can't be transferred or replaced.

Did you already recalibrate the attribute on it? You can't do both. Other than that, it should work.
Oh, do you have the piece with Composure equipped? This might be the reason, unequip it and check it again.

Sounds like it. Easy to check, farm some control points or so until you find new kneepads with the same kind of talent and see if you can add composure there. Or check the vendors.

Depends on the aces role and setup and what you're using it for. For example if you're running aces support build to buff your team then SVD and ar so you can switch to ar when you got aces prepared and switch back to DVD to flip the final card when aces is needed. If you're running a selfish aces build just for yourself then it's up to you and what you prefer. Though I doubt the nemesis and ar combo would make much sense in any case since you can't land many shots fast with the nemesis to proc aces.

@mental sundial they work for different encounters for the raid. But on Boss fights they don't work as well as guns. So you can equip your skill loadout and bring it into the raid.

@trim cedar For Normal raid u need at least 70% total damage(WITHOUT offensive talents) = All weapon damage + xxx(Weapon u using) damage and at least 75% damage to elites. U need 65k hp for Weasel boss(but its not critical). For builds probably as @lucid sun told u Ether Assault Rifle build or Aces build 3piece of Airaldi + 3 Piece of Aces'n'eight with SVD..

Problem is people entering raid in LFG as soon they hit WT5..Since they think best loot is inside raid.ITS NOT..it rolls with higher stats..but its not the best.NO Division is grind game so u need to invest time..When we did raid for first time - when it was released people had at least 300-500h of grinding..so..If anyone wonna go easy road..its not gonna happen coz u need to invest time..

You can also ask for carries in lfg and more people will help and show you the raid and mechanics while giving build advice too. Just make it clear that you are new or have a bad build so the group can decide if they can handle it. Or just add @frosty rock and he'll take care of you. This goes for anyone.

I actually think the build advice is super helpful to new players who have no direction for what to farm or even keep as high rolls on gear.

if you use this build you should use a SVD which has high base roll 49K+ as a secondary you can use any weapon that you comfortable to use with some sort of useful talent (for example if you don't have in rythem on your build - you can equip a weapon with this talent. Transmission is a good talent for the raid too)

with this sort of build your SVD dmg should be 100K and above. if you havn't reached this number you might want to consider switching builds

Not a bad suggestion, but as dumb as it sounds, like I know you can't have it both sides of a world without comprimise somewhere. But we'd like to not involve our self to much into other people. We've learned the more you invest into it, the worse it gets, in the sense, we play in a very small group and have done that for like 10 years. So we were wondering how likely it is, to find people here and join them? Also, what are the difficulty of raids? Like, clearing "challenging" is sleepingly easy from my seat cushion. I that makes sense.

@wary crow You can find ppl here to raid with, its not that hard, just make sure you tell them you're new so they will be able to explain stuff. I strongly suggest to watch some videos on the raid too (MarcoStyle did some really good ones back in the day). As for the raid difficulty: you've got 2 - discovery which equivalent to a challenge mission i'd say, and normal which equivalent to a heroic difficulty. On discovery you can't get the Eagle Bearer (which i assume why you want to raid in the first place). If you guys needs help with raid builds and such you can ask here (or send me a DM). When you guys feel like you're ready hmu and i'll try to help you get through the raid

It helps if u are geared up appropriately for the raid. But depends on the group too. If u get a group of 7 that's well experienced, they can carry u. If u end up with at least 3 not well geared or don't know what they're doing, it becomes frustrating for everyone to complete it in reasonable time.

@twin parrot in regards to the lfg channels,
fresh means they are about to start a fresh raid from beginning.
Exp means they're looking for experienced players who have completed the raid

@sacred surge u can just give the lfg channel groups a try, most groups are ok with 1 new person in the raid, if the others are all exp. Just hop into the voice channel n tell them about ur case, if they say ok, stay, if they say no, politely leave and try another group.

Keep roll it. But make sure you proc it at the right time, to be specific you should try and proc it on the bosses only (everything i'm gonna say right now is under the assumption that you running with a SOLID group who actually knows what they're doing). On the rooms before each boss (tarmac, contaminated) make sure you stop using a MMR after you have one of the combination:

1 Ace, 1 Eight, 1 random card
2 Aces, 1 Eight, 1 random card
2 Eights, 1 Aces, 1 random card
Keep flippin cards until you got one of those combination and then switch weapon (to another type. I personally use the EB/AR). On each boss try to enter the fight with Aces prepared (again one of the combination above) and proc it when requested. Your build should be able to deal dmg even when not using MMR so i advise to do some investment into your favorite secondary weapon. @drowsy wing

i don't know about xbox, but for at least the pc lfg groups, if you just talk to the groups, they would generally be open to accepting new people. there are 2 parts involved in such exp based discrimination,
1 is the knowledge of what to do, which can be mitigated if you just tell the group you are willing to follow instructions, and maybe watch a few videos before hand to get a general idea
and 2nd is the dps build, this one is a little hard to solve immediately if you don't already have a build. so generally having 1 new person in a group is not a big deal, 2 is also fine but then the other 6 need to be really good. any more than that it just gets frustrating for everyone involved because you can't kill the bosses.
honestly, just talk to different groups doing the raid, and someone would be open to letting you in.
or find an active clan maybe 🤷‍♂️

How much is the breakdown between all weapon damage n AR damage? It does sound low with that 21k number.
I suppose you weren't focusing on a crit build? Cause crit chance less than 50% might as well not bother with much.

I was kinda expecting a % number for those.
Anyways, the damage can be improved further, it's not bad, but can be better. Either of u max out crit chance upto the 60% cap, or improve your weapon damage.

So see if u can get like 13% wd on chest n 9% wd on back pack n 12% AR damage on gloves

#

But run a few raids, see how it feels, n then u can decide if it needs any improvement

I would switch the gila holster and badger gloves for true patriot holster and gloves. It’ll give you and extra 5% total armor along with an extra red mod slot. You’d lose the hazard protection from gila, but the time it’s really needed is on the second raid boss. But you have over 60k health so even without it you’re fine

You collect 4 raid keys throughout the raid and a 5th from defeating Razorback. You can then use these to open the box in the helicopter that has a (10% iirc) chance to drop the EB

@pliant flare u can look up the raid leaderboards in the game and check out the teams with fastest runs or most completion and figure out what clans they belong too. getting in touch with them is the tricky part i suppose. don't have any suggestions for that.
