Okay that's enough IRL nonsense from this place for a while. Back to the lore talk, folks.
Weak deserve to die was
Rikers
Some Rogues
and the guy who started it all, Gordon Amherst
True sons believed only in loyalty and brotherhood stuff
if you joined them you were fine
as long as you did it before they found YOU first
you had to sign up
didn't matter your background or anything
can't say much about the new true sons since well, their main guy, is dead
most of the factions lost themselves after their main guy died
||
LMB joined the Black Tusk, which doesn't hold on to the whole "To the last man" motto that Bliss had, pretty sure they actively hate eachother and would shoot one another if given the chance
True Sons started dealing with Black Tusk and other factions but kept fumbling since WE exist, which is unusual since True Sons bombarded castle with D6-21 after a group decided to leave and keep to themselves
AND they shot a person for trying to negotiate
Cleaners kept getting manipulated over and over again after Ferro died, first with Keener, then with the Black Tusk
Outcasts...well they're still deranged hypocrite terrorists, can't really go any further than that
Rikers are still criminals, you get it.
Most of them are just desperate at this point||
Just my analysis btw
Amherst did not think "weak deserves to die". Grammar being correct or otherwise.
I am still curious about the underground. Yk. The people you occasionally meet at night or when you walk through the sewage system
The cannibals
Yep
I'm playing Resurgence and I have a question about the timeline. How much time exactly passed between the activation of the first wave and the end of the first game? Because Resurgence seems to establish that all of that happened in less than a month, which seems like a short time to me.
I seem to recall that 6 weeks passed from the first outbreak until the activation of, I don't know if it was the first or second wave, but from then on I don't know anything else.
In resurgence im pretty sure our agent is first wave before going into a coma and waking up about a month and a half after the first campaign
I know, but that means the entire first game takes place in less than a month, which seems like a short time considering everything that happens.
I mean our agent gets the job done
Didn't COVID lockdown happen like 6 months after the outbreak?
prob cause covid and green poison are not the same
I know...
Green Poison was specifically engineered to spread very fast, then kill rapidly. With about a 90% mortality rate.
Exactly. The green poison carries strains of various different viruses such as Hanta, Smallpox and H1N1
something like that cant happen naturaly cause high mortality rate means low spreading potential
also the Green poison is comically effective cause no matter the quarantine effort everyone got infected it seems
even the worse virus cant pass hazmat suits or hit remote places
Exactly my point. Not surprised that it only took a month or so for the green virus to kill so many so fast.
it was made to kill much later after infection, that's why
It would be four years, ironically the lockdown happened around the 4 year anniversary
covid happenned in 2019
its still happenning tho but they dont care about lockdown now
2020 is when the lockdown happened
not everywhere
Well im saying from view
So what we all thinking this manhunt is gonna hold
Las Plagas or sum idk
Clearly you’ve never parried a rocket
I feel like the comms we've got so far kinda hints at Pentagon being the Climax Mission's location.
||Given the mention of I-395, which is near the Pentagon.||
People keep saying it’s either the Pentagon or the airport
If it is the Pentagon, which mission would make more sense…
Would be ashamed if I spoiled it cough cough ||Camp White Oak|| cough cough
||pentagon|| makes the most sense cause then they could store that ||giant flying thing|| mentioned on comms in the middle of the complex
Oh I was joking, I know the actual location and reason for going there but im not gonna spoil it unless ppl wanna know so I would dm them
You can tell me lol
I know it's for gameplay reasons but realistically the Outcasts should all be dead by now, surely there weren't THAT many exiled to Roosevelt Island, right?
You aren't canonically re-taking CP's over and over again, or re-running missions against the same faction.
Think of everything done against a faction as "once".
Fair point, just felt odd THAT many people were willing to strap a bomb on themselves to give you a hug 🫂 😂
"For Emeline!"
You sure?
Not on here, thanks.
Im not
Sure
What’s crazier is they don’t target the true sons 🧐
they do tho ?
Keener didn’t do anything wrong
Agreed
Free my man he did all that but still free him
He didn’t do anything, all the civilians and JTF at city hall were holograms
dw he's free already the prison is hologram too
We need to elect Keener as president
He has my vote
who gonna vote tho, everyone dead
also president of what, there is nothing left to govern basically
Hellooo, just wanted to ask where I should begin if I wanted to learn about thediv lore from start to finish
Cause I feel like I know nothing about the plot
How deep are you willing to go?
Playing through the Div1 campaign is a must to learn the basics imo. Then there are hundreds of small audio clips spread around the world, you could listen to those as well 🙂
There's a five hour video detailing pretty much everything from start of Division 1 to this day.
Oh that's nice
Something I can keep on the background, that vid seems perfect
Ehhh I don't really wanna do that, I'm more invested in Div2
There you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqopoeWMszM
Fantastic, thank you
Understandable. Div1 is a lot more lore focused than Div2.
and ngn always deliver
I will warn you Zorro, they’re gonna spew lies against the S tier character of the Division Aaron “The Goat” Keener, don’t listen to those lies
Keener is good Zorro. He is the way and the truth
you should, the context is important
Interesting
Wait so you don’t wanna play div 1?
Div 1 is awesome but the inventory and progression feels frustratingly unpolished compared to Div 2
Yeah and the end game is pretty much non-existent. But the story is awesome!
Div1 will always have a better atmosphere. Maybe Survivors will come close as well. 💪
also playing div games isnt that important to get the lore if you look the lore video tbh, its mostly scattered in audio logs and echos, the mission themselves have very little interesting story
few missions have some important bits like the dc62 stuff but other than that, who cares about federal bunker ? or the arena
they mostly serve as showing the player what the antagonists are capable of and what they believe in more strongly than just saying "oh yeah that guy is mean" in some lost audio
which is good, the rule of show dont tell is done very well in most missions, but once u got the gist, i dont think u need to keep saying it over and over
Div 1, Atmosphere and story. Div 2, gameplay and content
Tbf I love both games and wont choose either. I hate the whole “Oh div 1 is better argument”
Div 3 (not sure if they plan mix both Div 1 and Div 2
They can take some fragments from each game but I would prefer something new
I would prefer to go back to the series' roots, which means the virus.
And I hope the end game is more than just pewpew and grinding assets to enable you to grind for more assets..
...
u can have both tho
but the virus is prob gonna be forgotten next cause it sells less than gameplay and also scares people since, u know, we actually got a new one in real life since the game started
same reason games like valorant dont call the bomb a bomb, it sell less to advertisers
tbh even if id love more story focused game, im fine with gameplay focused instead, games are supposed to be fun too
Fun is subjective 😜
well, in video games, not so much, its been studied as a science, and we know whats fun now more or less
fun fact, its not that much correlated to sales
Okay yeah this has gone on way too long.
This isn't a channel discussing what your personal thoughts on looter-shooters are, it's for discussing the lore of the div franchise.
I don't care the reason for it: get back on topic.
yeah mb i have a habit of going off topic
i wonder if bt would be ok sacrificing more of their ressources to put the other factions back on track to be a menace, but leaving them defenseless
but with the last manhunt we saw them scattered so im not sure they should do that
BT don’t want smoke, always using a lot of resources but fails at their mission. too cocky or just ain’t good as they claim
hopefully they make a bigger impact down the road, they’re meh atm
i mean, they done pretty good considering the situation, they are the biggest threat on map so far, they took the bsa, the core from pentagon, and have alliances with lot of people
its just starting to fall apart, we are not done yet
which makes me excited for the new escalation taking place. hoping it’s taken over by BT
it’s a dam i think
u mean incursion ?
incursion yea 😭😭idk why i typed escalation lmao
Manhunt: Rise Up - Comm#6 - Virtuoso
||The Director coordinates a Black Tusk operation against one of the allied Control Points using 3 teams.||
||The operation goes smoothly, as the Black Tusk soldiers managed to eliminate the reinforcements and taking over the Control Point. With the civilians captured for execution, the Director has teams 1 and 3 standing by for transport, as he prepares to coordinate the next operation.||
Dang I was gonna type that
Well manhunt primary target confirm The Director
So we are probably gonna face emps, gas, mortars, and a lot of flanking
Business as usual 😛
So dark hours raid and pentagon a still my theories for manhunt mission
Yes
the layout for DH would be tuff
they can do the same as iron horse, backward
potential faction
interesting, not sure if another faction would be added this late
I think he's doing a meme
Any word when we will be getting the CrossPlay Update? I have searched to no avail lol
We don't know yet - sometime within this year is all they've told us
Thank you
So I guess the director is there tactician expert
Dammit black Tusk keeps getting new chains of commands, no matter how many times we keep killing them
Aside from that he has a new elite squadron after we put down the previous ranks
Nat has been into hiding ever since we shattered her alliance along with the death of Anderson
Seems like this so called Director has been targeting true son defectors and innocent civilians asset to the division
Yup
Just wait, once we destroy all of their marauders, they’ll pull up with apcs and tanks
That be extremely overkill, but we do have one contingency in the event black tusk goes overkill mode and that’s shaeffer
Birdie was also black tusk but she was only used because we were both manipulated by Johnson aka the recruiter
Then there’s the true mastermind Keener
I say less overkill than having razorbacks and a zeplin
Oh right we forgot we have keener meaning that his rogue experience would help the division deal with the BTs stolen division tech
Unfortunately, we cannot ask for Parnell’s help or anyone in Brooklyn since the nerd is most likely gonna be making amends and undo the trouble he has caused plus he just lost a close friend already and he has a baby to look after
So the moral in us believes that we shouldn’t kill someone who just became a father despite all the crimes he committed
I think it’s more or less we do need Parnell since Keener would walk or stop working with us if we killed Parnell and he actually is a good person
I will say the same with Keener, sure he has done a lot of bad things but at the same time, how would you feel if the organization you joined left you for dead in no man’s land while evacuating only important people. The comms we also got about the family he saved and him mourning their deaths even tho not his fault shows he cares and has some form of empathy
i wouldnt start launching bioweapons over it, that's for sure
"keener, you just killed hundreds of families with the eclipse virus!"
"yea but i saved one (1) family once, so that makes me morally grey"
jtf command: "ok the dark zone was a huge eff-up, we're pulling out our people, sadly the division will have to make their own evac but at least theyre well trained and equipped for such scenarios"
keener: "and i took that personally"
Considering the division is basically a organization that was never supposed to be activated and recruited dozens of mentally unstable people i would say they could never be truly prepared
Plus it was never stated if that missile was targeting Manhattan thank you
doesn't ANNA say "target locked: manhattan"
unless that too, of course, was a deepfake hologram
I don’t know, I haven’t played liberty island in a hot minute
"This payload will push the reset button on the entire city"- Keener
maybe it was a magic, concrete-eating version of Eclipse. Keener just wanted to start an eco-friendly commune
"Missile target locked: Manhattan" is what she specifically says
not "Missile target locked: top secret Hunter HQ"
So keeners done some bad yes, but shouldn’t we also put Schaffer in that cell with him
don't let me stop you
As much as I loved WONY and the Division, I do think it somewhat ruined Keeners character
It’s possible we may have killed a deep fake version of keener mostly orchestrated by two of the worst people that killed hundreds and thousands in Brooklyn
I think one of these guys had a pet Warhound named Violet according to one of the descent comms I picked up
The one cleaner did yes
thats how any military or pmc works, u dont leave empty seats
Plus the Black Tusk did have government funding and support
You mean those Cabal governments the ones responsible for back funding the black tusk
If there’s one thing I learned from Theo is that there was definitely institutional corruption that goes all the way to the top and that top is the Cabal government
Maybe
We also gotta keep in mind that these Cabal governments are also engaged in faction warfare’s if Nat and McManus are capable of manipulating other factions for their own agenda then there’s a new player now involving the conspiracy mix this max guy
What’s even more interesting is that this max guy used that same echo scrubber that keener did in the first game to conceal his identity
It’s probably just a jammer to obscure his face
Just found out that Project Zomboid may have reference to The Divison
In one of radio transmissions its said that "National Guard units in New York attempt to secure the prison complex on Riker's"
Sounds like JTF and Rikers
And i know that rikers island is real place but still
no one playing division 1 no more? :((
I mean anything with Rikers can be considered a reference technically. Like you said it’s a real place where a lot of nasty ppl are so keeping it contained to protect the public
If you pick the Division 1 role in Channels and Roles you'll be able to see the div1 section
You see how bad the rikers flourish in a society where there was little to no law and order, imagine a society where there’s no cops or law enforcement to contain them. The majority would surely die in the long run but would probably cause a crap ton of chaos and destruction
Not a Division reference.
Rikers Island is a 413-acre (167.14-hectare)[2][3] prison island in the East River in the Bronx, New York City, United States,[4] that contains New York City's largest jail
I said "may be"
not really, with no cops there would be no rikers
And i know what rikers island is real cuz i already said that
They would still exist without cops
well not really, but its a topic we cant talk about in here
Why wouldn’t there be rikers without cops?
No-one to put/keep them in Rikers
its more than that, but its not in topic with lore and mostly not really in line with rules of the server
I assume in an irl politics kind of way, yeah best to steer clear
yeah sadly
cant find it :((
I've granted you the roles, you should now be able to see the Div 1 section ( #td1-general, #td1-lfg etc)
thanks :))
Say why you will about rikers but they are designed really well
I wonder what your least favorite faction is Jacob
definitely LMB, True sons and Black Tusks.
cleaner is second least
Gasp
What do you think of the Hunters Jacobin?
They are nothing but lackeys of tyrant mcmanus and cabal.
I consider them no better than black tusks.
Fair enough
What do you think of our glorious king fighting the system
Honestly, If the division was activated a week earlier, could everything that happened in the whole country be different?
No, because the Green Poison's whole point was that it was designed the kill the bulk of people, and the rest would rebuild.
you can't quarantine what you can't understand. This wasn't just a normal plague, it was specifically designed to transmit far and wide, then kill. It already had by the time we were activated.
So all of this could of possibly been of avoided if the NSA deemed him a threat?
Assuming it moved along the chain fast enough, which I mean, doubtful, but yeah confiscating his "printer" would've stopped this whole thing. Dude would be in Guantanamo or some blacksite right now. Or more likely: dead.
only him, but u can never stop mad people from doing mad stuff so at some point someone else might do it
I mean in one of the splinter cell comics the nsa deemed him a threat to the point 4th echelon killed him, so... yeah, if mcmanus said that he was a hvt or someone they should take out, d51 wouldnt have started.
wonder why he didn’t do that 🤔
a gov killing their own citizen without any trial or oversight is, u know, bad
directive 51 or not
nobody can tell the future, nobody can tell what you're going to do, so killing you just cause "u might do something bad" is def not the way to go
and frankly is kinda scary how most people would still do it
i know
but there’s also this thing called an “arrest”
Not sure if this is a place to ask, but do we know if the ttrpg will be solo friendly or have solo rules?
TTRPG?
They are making a division table top role playing game.
Ask general
really like that the BTSU Team 9 comms tell you what units are currently apart of the Black Tusk (that each member was apart of) . you never really get a idea of how big or exactly how organized they are, so its a nice addition
I mean they’re a small sub faction of the BTSU, they’re used in covert/espionage/ and physic warfare
i wanna know which bt section does laundry and food
cause they look well fed and their uniforms are spotless
Soldiers are trained to scavenge, use MREs, and hunt. They would have cooks defiantly but since they don’t have an actual base like tidal basin. They probably have excess uniforms or wash them since tidal basin has washing machines
they do have bases like tidal basin, just not in washington
My statement still stands
It's just their Foward Operating base, their original HQ is somewhere we'll know soon
I mean their Foward Operating Base that was constantly getting harassed by us lol
You know that bunker food is mid as hell
mid is a mindset
imagine its a red velvet cupcake
There's a fun comm in The Pact's season about food storage at Tidal Basin, and the lack of decent methods for it.
Sokolova “I always take care of my men”. Also Sokolova “Do you want good food or the funny warhound with the RGB lights?”
Tidal Basin people are eating MRE's at best, cmon.
The Bunker is probably not far behind, or whatever other bases still exist. Schaeffer is looking.
I feel like they would eat mres and at best hunted venison
Like Sokolova said to chunks, go forge a salad if you want food
Idk if y’all have had them, but MREs are just bland.
do u prefer a fish tacos ?
Considering i like fish and tacos yea
I thought that was a few seasons ago
I would probably eat a fish just like that with lime and all that
You're right, I should've put down what season that comm came from.
i like pineapple and i like pizza, but guess what
i saw strawberry pizzas and kiwi pizzas. Ananas pizza lovers and haters should team up against these pizzas types 💀
Grilled fish with lemon pepper is the best
Getting hungo
Yeah and where I’m from saying that would be get you beat up, also saying soda is pop, never do that
I feeling that
my little soda pop
Depends on the fish for me but yes
Don’t start
I like cat fish mainly, but any would do
is the shroud an sv98
The shroud is an M700
Yup
Still disappointed it didn’t have a recruiter quote
Brian Johnson looks like my neighbor 💀
Lol he wears a diaper.
💀💀💀💀
Anyone who buy and wears the Recruiter Outfit does.
Anyway I almost forgot to ask. What was the story, idea, or logic behind Dark Zones? All I remember are tons of equipments got left behind.
Dark Zones were contamination zones if I remember correctly. Div 2‘s Dark Zones are not infested with the Green Poison but with DC62
they were the first quarantine zone in div 1 but stuff went so bad they couldnt control what happenned inside so they just closed it entirely and limit contamination
and they just said "anyone inside dz gl hf we aint here to help"
Tomorrow's the new Classified Assignment.
ISAC has flagged another SHD network anomaly connected to lost Agents, leading you to the headquarters of The Capitol Globe, one of Washington D.C.’s former major newspapers.
If you enjoy digging into spaces, following clues, and discovering things you might normally miss during regular missions, The Capitol Anomaly is worth checking out.
Keep an eye out for collectibles such as ECHOs and audio logs, plus additional rewards including themed backpack trophies and named item drops.
Once available, The Capitol Anomaly will appear on the map for players who have reached Level 30. Access can be unlocked directly from there, and owners of the Season Pass Bundle will already have it included.```
the NYC DZ was an attempt to gather all infected in the city into a single quarantine area, enforced by the JTF and the first wave of Division agents, but the situation became untenable and the JTF and SHD pulled out abandoning most of the equipment that was inside. there was only one Dark Zone in New York (until WoNY retconned it, ofc)
the Div 2 Dark Zones each have their own individual stories- DZ WEST was where the rich tried to wall themselves off and hunker down, someone sold them on DC62 being a good idea, they sprayed it all about the place and mostly died
DZ EAST and south where JTF bases where DC62 was stored and then leaked due to flooding iirc
I guess I got my adult diaper on cause I be running that drip
All dark zones aside DZ West were military hubs until they had DC-62 breaches
i got east and west confused like knuckles in sonic boom just forgot left from right 😭
Its okay buddy, it’s been approved
Must be a stud muffin
sonic reference, i like
wdym retconned
the north boundary of the wony map is a second more southern DZ which can’t possibly exist
wony is full of such plot points that retcon (retroactive continuity) and contradict the first game
are you sure it couldnt have just been walled off between the end of div 1 and the founding of peacekeepers
remember jtf pulled out of new york entirely after agents got called to washington
the city was already divided by walls
i doubt anyone would have the resources to do that
and im fairly sure its established as being a proper dark zone in the text when you hover over it iirc
if it was just a random wall for a map boundary i wouldn’t care lol
hm
maybe the map designers just forgot where exactly the dz is lmao
im hesitant to call it a retcon because it doesnt really change anything
it’s continuity and it’s retroactive
“the dark zone, which you were very much meant to believe there is only one of, is in fact just a dark zone because there are two”
i mean there already were multiple in div 1, central park is a dark zone because they made it a mass grave
it’s not, it’s walled off from the dark zone and referred to separately
central park was a mass grave, not a quarantine for the living
the concept of dark zone doesnt exclusively refer to quarantine, The DZ wasnt a dz before jtf abandoned it
the gated community wasnt a quarantine zone
the military bases werent quarantine zones
dark zones just refer to areas jtf abandoned and forbid non-division personnel and civilians from entering
the dark zones in dc serve a different purpose because they were created months later under different circumstances
the nyc dark zone was created specifically to be a quarantine
Manhunt: Rise Up - Comm - Progress Report.
||The Director gets a progress report from one of his subordinates, a Black Tusk Sergeant, whom she reports that the depots in North Parking, Rotary, and Memorial are up and ready, while rapid-response units are standing by the Metro Station, in addition to establishing fuel stockpiles and inflatable boats at the Yacht Basin and Gravelly Point.||
||When the Director asked about their readiness levels, his subordinate informs they can project significant force within the Southwest of DC within minutes, but access to Logan Circle and points throughout north and east are hindered by roadblocks and damages to the subway systems.||
||The Director is not concerned about Logan Circle, however, and compliments the Black Tusk Sergeant for her work.||
@sick lantern@pseudo jasper Funny things are, the mall where Green Poison outbreak started and Amherst apartment are located outside the DZ. At least thats what I remember...
Im certain Amherst apartment is located at the bottom left corner of Div1 map.
It's directly opposite the first base you leave.
the final mission in div1 is set there.
An ECHO of Keener taking the virus printer.
The one where we shoot down Bliss's heli?
That's not the final mission of div1.
You should go play div1, or re-play if its been a while.
its definitely been a while yes
Finale is the keener monologue about how he's super evil and wants to print and sell viruses to the highest bidder.
so, not canon now I guess.
Yeah thats definitely retconned, or maybe havent explained in the Resurgence.
"actually i was just kidding Agent, im really into saving puppies from burning buildings"
But yeah, the mall where Green Poison outbreak started is located outside the Dark Zone which is funny.
was it actually? i thought it was about causing further outbreaks to burn down america or something
Yeah nah that "thanos" stuff was only in WONY.
The what?
The end of WONY where he talks about "wiping the slate clean", etc.
that was all purely an invention of WONY.
gramps needs to take his meds he keeps forgetting his motivation
in div1, he was described as "as a former Future's Trader on Wall Street, Keener always thought he was the smartest man in the room".
That's why people are so confused by the plot of latter div2.
that part is still consistent thanks to paradise lost
Isnt he also close to both Mack and Nat?
And Mack is just much better version of Nat?
he was a stock trader and he thinks hes always the smartest man in the room, div 2 just made him actually the smartest man in the room at all times
Nah everyone he killed was a Hunter.
All the people except the one who happened to live in the WONY side mission? Hunters.
Everyone at the start of WONY? Hunters.
he has a crush on mackenzie and is acquainted with natalie because of that pursuit and presumably felix
theyre also all rich people who just telepathically know each other i guess
We know it must be true because Theo told us.
oh yeah I remember that Comms, Faye was angry at him
it would be so funny if everything since wony was one massive long con by keener to convince theo and us he is harmless and just pumps the vents with the eclipse virus when he no longer needs our manpower
He probably doing it just for the love of the game.
God that whole descent comm train was just so silly.
I want my Agent to be an 80's high school bully and put Theo in a locker.
Haha eclipse virus goes brrrr
I dont remember a lot about Mack but I do remember shes somewhat the opposite of Nat.
Which IIRC who the VA is, is really funny.
eclipse virus is so stupid too he just made biological nerve gas
diseases need to kill slow so they can spread, eclipse just destroys your respiratory system
@pseudo jasper Look, the faction that wants to spread disease in div2 uses fire, something that very deliberately kills things like that.
So you gotta go with it.
if all you wanted was Gaseous Death you couldve just dug into the darpa armory, gramps
It'd be like if a faction called "we burn everyone" used fire-extinguishers.
i mean they also poison water sources and implant asymptomatic members in settlements
keener dedicated his entire off screen effort on making the eclipse virus which just cant do the thing viruses exist to do
They would've gotten so much further if they just used pointy sticks with nails in them, just saying.
Things could've gotten much shorter too.
To be fair to Keener, he didn't actually do anything, he read an instruction booklet, and used a super machine to make it.
Amherst really did all the work.
I know, Keener smart. But there's a difference between being "smart", and knowing how to do stuff like that yourself.
he killed amherst, stole the printer, kidnapped tchernenko, put the two in a makeshift lab and told tchernenko to make the Turbo Plague
he actually was busy between div 1 and coney island
wait no, Amherst died from his own creation
Amherst wasn't killed by Keener.
Amherst very deliberately didn't make himself immune.
huh, did keener find him dead too
Yeah I still remember the ECHO
Dead or near it, but he was sick from the Green Poison.
anyways my point is he investigated solo and found the apartment ahead of us then did all of that bs just to make a worse gas weapon
In the ECHO he just explains how Amherst died from his own creation and just took the virus printer.
Yeh
Funnily enough, IIRC that apartment is oppsite the base, right? Which means Keener was watching us from there the whole time.
Dont remember.
Though the mall where the Green Poison outbreak started isnt in the DZ does funny lmao
I remember finding it funny at the time, but it's been a minute.
I'm sure someone will "um actually" me about it if I'm wrong.
Theres even a mission where we're getting samples from there.
it is across the road im pretty sure
literally right under our noses
It wasn't just 1 mall, he spread the money around to a bunch of them.
Better distribution that way.
the mall we take samples from was under immediate threat of being burned by cleaners
Cleaners doing something right for once.
we knew amherst was there and we didnt have much time
Funnily enough, it reminds me a lot of the 12 Monkeys spoiler scene, him at the stores.
the apartment with Amherst’s lab is in like a fortune teller’s shop or something, directly across the road from Camp Hudson
like literally twenty feet
cleaners are very competent in div 1
You forgot the nerd glasses.
Yeah see, I remember its almost bottom left of the map.
Far from the base of operations and Dark Zone.
div 1 cleaners actually investigate possible sources of green poison spread and none of their attacks are mindless arson
but then we kill joe ferro and they gradually get replaced by crazies
like they were crazy from day 1 but theres a difference between systemically burning out a pandemic and burning your patrol partner on the spot because he coughed (actual idle interaction in div 2)
I mean, yeah a lot of them were just mindless arson on the vague suspicsion that someone may have been infected.
that one refugee camp springs to mind.
Lets not give the Cleaners too much credit. They were just as evil as the rest.
i was concurring with you
it had a significant infected population which is why kandel needed us to save it asap
cordoning off and burning the entire shanty town is overzealous and insane but it wasnt a vague suspicion they had proof
I know I was pulling your leg.
I always liked Iron Lung's quote.
"Arson is a made-up crime. Some people deserves to burn".
yeah im not defending them im just saying every faction at least made sense until we went and killed everyone keeping them in line lmfao
Oh and in the Resurgence, Vivian only been mentioned twice so far.
One from a random comm and the other from a side mission. Mentioning how by the start of Resurgence storyline started, she already took over Cleaners faction.
Vivian not being mentioned much actually makes sense, since Ferro was the face, and she was on purpose keeping her head down and just doing the work.
Although them pretending that he basically did very little compared to her still annoys me.
It's a thing I see a lot in fiction, you have to build the old thing down to build the new thing up.
idk being able to rein in all those middle aged blue collar men probably takes a lot of effort and a decent amount of charisma
even if vivian was the brains of the operation on her own ferro is a pretty strong leader
He's a tank right?
yeah
Division story sucks as always. Though by far Resurgence is the worst. Somehow Freemen and Raiders appeared. Though I suppose Raiders are just renamed Rioters from Div1. And the Freemen doesnt have any real objective either other than taking over the city like everyone did.
We killed their leaders and thats about it...
Just to make it clear: I don't think the story "sucks as always". I want no part in being tied with what Jayko is saying.
raiders are just rioters, freemen spout some vague bs about being anarcho communist
im ngl the way enemy factions are portrayed and talked about feels a lot like some form of propaganda
It sort of depends on your own perspective. Someone might've seen that more in div1 and the blue collar workers being one of the villains, or div2 and the True Sons clearly meant to be a supremacy group that got filtered down to be just quasi-military.
True Sons are honestly a faction I wish would've been swapped out. The 2 main options for what they could've been do not work in a live-service game.
Having to skirt the phrasing this much is making that look really messily written.
I post a summary for this week's comm, and I find myself reading a whole discussion
ehhhh, characters keep referring to enemies by things like "scum suckers" and the spring blossom settlement's pacifist stance is depicted as ideal while they keep getting attacked seemingly for no reason
but i dont want to really get into the topic
I can't speak on Resurgence, but yeah it's not a new thing in this franchise, all the way back to div1.
Sometimes I get the writers bug cropping back up. A part of me wants to put more time into my "Division: Rogue" idea more, but that project can not be a thing at this point so
it just feels really overt in resurgence, the mission npcs keep insulting enemies with increasing vitriol
^
If you are taking this one more personally than any of the others, then it means it's more personal to you.
I honestly do not have a better way to put it.
Spoilers for Capitol Globe Classified Assignment
||These Outcasts sure don't know when to give up, do they? Using insecticides on the survival handbooks they're printing out, leave them across the city, so they could infect civilians and their settlements.||
Hmmmmmmmm
not really taking it more personally, its just every other voiceline is a general insult against the existence of enemy factions
Remind me never to try and start a discussion on this server about an actual novel.
is it because i suck to discuss this with lol
It's 100% not just a you thing, dw.
but it is a me thing
idk playing div 2 and resurgence and replaying div 1 at the same time, insults and making enemy factions do nonsensical evil feel significantly more prominent
like freemen successfully sneak into the spring blossom storage and boost their supplies, then they just blow up the generator and give themselves away for no reason because your allies need to yell insults at them
cleaners break the water purification and distribution they also use for no apparent reason beyond harming spring blossom
The outcasts in div2 used puppies laced with green poison to infect orphans.
that's not a mad-libs, that is 100% canon.
Brutal's doings IIRC.
the outcasts' absurd plans are rooted in a desire to harm the society that turned a blind eye to their suffering
the enemy factions in resurgence just do things because spring blossom needs conflict despite being pacifists who accept anyone
My personal favourite out of all right now, is the one Hyena who read so many Anne Rice equivalent novels, that she started talking in a british accent.
("Interview with a Vampire" author)
i started really loving saint as a character after recently hearing his comms with sawyer
I'm not discussing Resurgence factions, I haven't played it enough yet to have an informed opinion, and I don't trust anyone here enough to speak 100% plainly.
nah saint the hyena boss in div 2 and odessa sawyer
I'm referring to the previous message, clearly.
ah ok
anyways i love that sawyer offered saint and his gang a place in the theater settlement if they change their ways before they "cross a line you cant uncross", because yknow, the hyenas are mostly criminals who werent given another shot at life to begin with
and he refuses it and immediately crosses that line by kidnapping sawyer's daughter because he thinks he will cross the line eventually
Sawyer lost a decent portion of her brain along with the leg, I guess.
theyre still murderous spice addicts but they get some shred of humanization
The Hyenas literally use live JTF as target practice dummies in the middle of the street.
i mean yeah its f'in stupid but its good character writing for a named enemy boss who just shows up and dies
he was given a choice and he chose to stay a bad guy
the VA is pretty good too, his tone changes when he realizes sawyer is serious
I appreciate the expansion of character, but I would've maybe had that occur earlier on in the timeline. Before they went all "robocop criminals"
hey shout-out to VA's, they do hard work. Can't do it myself, but would love it.
one of the classified assignments was also about a hyena who threw in with saint, trying to retaliate against cops (now jtf) who mistreated her before the outbreak
again it doesnt excuse the literal surface plot of the assignment being civilian hostages kept in cages and forced to work for that hyena gang
but sometimes the writers write pure fire
🔥 ✍️
writers fleshing out one off characters i will send to god same day delivery with my oneshot build
If you want a nice quick dose of fun writing that was clearly someone having a ball of a time, re-read through the original 4 suits of the Snitch cards.
Not all, but most are just straight up fantastic.
i will thanks
Bonus points if you can tell me which character you picture writing them.
Call it copium, but I still think "The Director" is Schaeffer's former boss during Black Tusk's initial invasion/Year 1
Jesus
Huh I thought it would be worse
?
No just reading your description of the comm
They are definitely planning a massive attack on the white house again by the looks of if not all of the settlements
I mean, the whole reason we went to the Capitol Globe was to investigate the SHD data anomaly.
Guess we'll have to wait till the game is stable to find the rest of the collectibles
6 classified assignments to kill this one agent
Seems like it
A Hunter gone rouge
I'm sure they look fabulous.
if you're not good looking, are you even rogue ?
Has there ever been a member of GR that was also servicing TD? I think thats a cool concept, but I doubt i'm the first person to think of this.
is this an OC of your own you speak of? (My bad, never hopped into this chat before, and wanted to see what the current conversation was about, but the Division Rogue idea sounds interesting)
Odessa sawyer?! Wait
Looking at this echo and I’m guessing that this was way way before Kelso gone rogue. She and the retired agent name odessa sawyer were ambushed by hyenas and we now know how she lost her leg then.
These new classified missions are most likely gonna involve more intel on this max guy cuss now we are dealing some unknown network anomalies
This would also mean we’re dealing with a couple of avenger factions that want revenge after we took down their last remaining leaders in Nat summit
hasnt that been in the game since launch?
Was thinking about it yeah but probably because the classified assignment was caught right into that echo area
Yeah.
And given what we learned about ||Max so far, he is very obsessed in acquirring Directive 51's signed print. Hoping he could acquire it as leverage against the Division.||
||Guy is off the reservation, mentally speaking.||
These Outcast are by far the most disgusting factions I’ve ever seen it’s bad enough that we’re dealing with an army of cults but they lack hygiene and they’ve been spreading new generation of contaminations. They’re literal terrorist and I’m here to kill terrorist.
It seems like large numbers of the JTF units were set up at this newspaper capital Station during the outbreak they were making what it seems to be survival guide books, but unfortunately, they’re confirmed contaminated
So we’re dealing with an unknown psychopath planning to take down the division and he’s obsessed with this directive 51 signature
I have been out of the TD2 loop for a while. IDK what the hell is going on in the story. Last time I saw an actual story mission was with Keener supposedly "dying" and then Lau turned on the Division.
Anyone have a TLDR/Summary so I can catch up? I saw kelso left too... And keener is... In prision?
Yes, he’s also confirmed a stalker and a psychopath according to the journalist that was writing the director 51 story it attracted some consequence attention
Kelso had to go. Said it was safer for us if she’s not here.
Also, heavily recommend watching that several hour video from NGN
there's probably a TLDR somewhere here (a video would be best), but in the simplest possible terms:
Keener and Parnell faked their deaths by spoofing ISAC's systems, Lau went rogue in order to go undercover in the Black Tusk and kill President Ellis who was the BT's puppet at the time. Keener (as well as Theo and their community in Brooklyn) is now our ally by circumstance as he also wants to take down the Black Tusk. Kelso became privy to this a few seasons back and joined up with Keener and Theo as a result. We also have a former BTSU Commander with us, Schaeffer, who defected (kinda) in a manhunt finale but was incapacitated and fell into a coma for good while (a few months in game, prolonged by a BT saboteur). Black Tusk is also in a alliance with the Hunters (or Hunter Program) as the Hunters are a failsafe for rogue division agents created by Homeland Security's Secretary Calvin McManus, who is plotting on securing the presidency. (we are technically rogue as we aren't maintaining a line of succession by going against McManus, but our tech marks us as active agents. The Hunters see us as traitors however, and many of them are Division agents who drank the koolaid and fell in with McManus)
you should definitely watch a NGN recap though, because I've definitely missed some things 😶
💀 💀 💀
so like for TD,
Damned if you help McManus, which would be morally wrong, and go against TD's whole "Keep america safe and free of bad people" mindset
Damned if you don't, because you are technically a traitor regardless if the official in question is in the wrong or not (CoD MW2 2009 General Shepherd moment lol)
is this correct?
Hunters aside, McManus has no authority over the SHD, they answer only to the president
going against McManus is betraying neither the country/people nor the SHD's mandate, so it's allowed
In that case, what does this mean?
"we are technically rogue as we aren't maintaining a line of succession by going against McManus"
to the best of my knowledge, it's a misconception
McManus isn't the president and the SHD explicitly and specifically, can only answer to the president
McManus and co see us as off-mission for not backing them, ISAC doesn't see it that way as we're still following our directive more or less (therefore, we don't have the red ring of despair at all times), but webkinz said it best
Got to check more of max and my god he’s even more psychopathic than before
He’s dangerously desperate to find this directive51 protocol and went even this deep to stalk a journalist for it
I’ve also started to take major notice of what the black tusk are literally up to now
Trying to deny democracy?
Probably..their enforcement actions have started to notice and aside from that. They have been getting really sneaky.
I was also able to get my hand on more team 9 comms
Most of the team nine are basically psych evaluation for each individual soldier that can stall us divisions
I wouldn’t say just Division, they’re deployed to create chaos
The purpose of the red tusk or the BTSU team9 with rapid response time was to attack divisions with extreme prestigious they act like serial delayers and according to the director they don’t follow chain of commands but at the same time they crosses some of the vicious formations like mimicking hunter movements
Most black tusk are obviously convicts from former maximum securities due to high crime addictions and deep killing instincts for all I know
u got a comm saying that ?
Sorry my grammar sucks
Meanwhile Team 9 is comprised of assholes and generally unpleasant or belligerent people
I have a feeling that we'll get a "canon" encounter with them in the climax mission
no i mean why do u say its the case
Most of the team nine comms are just names and background checks
yeah but that's just team 9, not all of bt
Exactly
yea all but a few named black tusks we fight are ex military
yeah but you said bt as a whole earlier not just team 9 that's why I was wondering
Eehhh, even if you're talking just about Team 9, they're not convicts
Misfits from various "Tier 1" like units
BT is a PMC, they hire lots of former military and military-adjacent.
It's not a "prisoner army" lol.
If I remember correctly in past echoes the unknown mentioned cutthroat’s, scumbags, and killers
Perhaps
More of the more psychotic, ruthless, and selfish people you cpuld hire that have excellent combat and military experience
You could describe a lot of disgraced military personel with those exact words.
Cmon, watch an 80's action movie with a PMC as a villain. You get the tropes.
I only remember one infamous unit that was disbanded many years ago, but yeah in the 80s they were wild
Think of BTSU-9 like this, The Division had a crappy recruitment that recruited a lot of mentally unstable and potentially dangerous assets of being unable to predict but we’re never supposed to be activated so it was never really an issue. BTSU-9s team chose mentally unstable and potential risk soldiers but they’re made to deploy behind enemy lines to create chaos through destruction and psychological warfare
My favourite part about the SHD recruitment is that a bunch of them were kids with rich parents, and the SHD was a way to get free stuff, basically.
Only for pretty much all of them to die, locked in the DZ.
I won't say the word "karma", but.
Maybe when Keeners released he’ll make his own team
"Free the homie he ain't done nun wrong!"
(Joking btw)
You right he did nothing wrong (Not joking btw)
He was a hologram back in div1 where he wanted to make and sell viruses.
He was a hologram when he told Theo to go die in a fire instead of sending a chopper.
He's a hologram in the cell right now, he's actually the one NPC who keeps knocking you out of the Seasonal Vendor, in a mission impossible mask.
gonna deny the bastard air conditioning, play justin bieber when he sleeps, spray itching powder in his bed and only feed him korean spicy buldak noodles
I was never graced with the opportunity to play TD1 in its prime. Can someone tell me what LMB means? I see people mention it a lot.
Last Man Batallion, they're basically the Black Tusk of div1.
ohhh ok. 2 more questions.
Were they "cooler" than their current successor? (As is typical in most games, the OG's are more prominent and memorable than the successor)
And from what I can gather from the the little cinematics I did see of TD1, along with inferences I can make via TD2, TD1 was a weirdo scientist guy named Amherst who released and spread a virus/plague on purpose, simply to "dunk on them mfs" for no reason, and Keener saw this an an oppurtunity to weaponize and utilize for his own reasons, mainly to F over the division because they treated him like dawgshit, and for whatever else he felt necessary. Is this correct?
I very much disagree with that first statement, and honestly, the LMB were kinda dumb, as they basically got wiped out by the end of div1. The remaining ones went to the various factions as troops, and notably a big chunk of them joined BT, and not in a leadership position.
You really should play div1, your understanding of Amherst is super not accurate.
Keener as well, actually.
There's a youtube channel called "NGN", he does a great lore-catch up. I recommend that for you.
If you play Legendary difficulty mission, you'll see White Tusk instead of Black Tusk. Those are the remnants of LMB soldiers.
the LMB were certainly a lot more "mask-off" aesthetically than the BT lol
I don't believe that's actually canon.
Oh and yeah LMB ran work camps, they were....quite evil.
Im pretty sure it is. Its described in the message when you're dead.
the difficulty is probably not canon, the white tusk existing and being ex-lmb is canon
Even the wiki says so.
The wiki is not a good source of info.
Yep. They just exist but we never canonically fight them.
I'll go give it a look. Don't wanna drop a buncho benjamins on a game that I likely wont have anyone to play with due to its age, or drop money on a game that has a small playerbase. (RIP GR Wildlands and GRFS😭 ) Or i'll try to find a TLDR maybe.
I'd recommend those videos.
There's not a lot of ways to tl;dr the amount of lore that makes up the div franchise.
Damn the LMB Rogue Agent model looks cool.
True, as it is the same type of lore spiderweb that is Star Wars and Halo. I just want a general idea of what happened in the first game is all.
I've been looking at Div2 Hunter models and there seems to be no female hunter.
Amherst begins the outbreak through contaminated bank notes on Black Friday
takes 5 days for stuff to get really bad
people dying and services collapsing leads the forces at play to conglomerate into the JTF, and the First Wave of SHD agents is activated
a centralised quarantine zone is created with the intention of concentrating all infected in the city into one spot, with the majority of JTF resources going here
the situation becomes untenable and the JTF order a withdrawal, abandoning the area and tons of equipment- this lawless area becomes known as the Dark Zone
Aaron Keener sees this as a sign of weakness and goes rogue, convincing other agents to join him or die
the rapidly deteriorating situation and the belief that the first wave "are all either dead or MIA" leads to the activation of the Second Wave of agents (they didnt know about the rogues)
Keener, working with the LMB to gain power in the city, gives them the intel of the Second Wave vtol which they destroy with a SAM site, leaving only Faye Lau wounded and The Agent (player character) alive
The Agent and Lau arrive in Manhattan and begin to stabilise the city, restoring the JTF and their BoO to not being an absolute shambles, take down faction leaders like Larae Barrett and Joe Ferro
at the police academy they discover the rogue agents and their alliance with the LMB
at the Russian Consulate they attempt to extract Russian virologist Vitaly Tchernenko, but he's captured by the LMB
as the JTF storm the final LMB stronghold at the UN Building, Keener flees with Tchernenko
the Agent and the JTF down Lt Col. Charles Bliss' helicopter, killing him and ending the last major and organised threat to the city
but, Keener found Amherst's secret lab, recovering his research and technology needed to create future viruses, and leaves a secret signal message for The Agent as an invitation to join him
then Aaron Keener went to West Side Piers to do something i guess idrk lol, his presence inspired all the weakened factions with grudges against him to form an alliance, but he escaped the city thereafter
From what I found:
Amherst thought humans = bad, must be eliminated. Also died to his own bioweapon.
The civilian and PMC populace formed their own groups due to their own agendas and ideals amidst the chaos.
JTF loses control and says "F this shit I'm out."
Keener left to die, hates SHD/TD at that point, wants to rebuild society/government from scratch by wiping out the remnants of the "old ways" as a result of seeing the atrocities of the DZ, decided that the current "old ways" of government are unjust. He became the leader of Rogues, if not the First Rogue, manipulates the factions around him to work in his favor, and gets Protag to unknowingly tie up Keener's loose ends.
Protag kinda just fights Keener at every turn.
Keener seems to really want to convince Protag to see his views, however. And becomes disappointed when Protag refuses, seeing that as a waste of talent.
Keener tells Protag that he can deploy his new virus anywhere, and taunts Protag to go to DC. Then TD2 begins.
@sick lantern i think this matches up with what you said, is this a correct interpretation?
well, i think some ideas from div 2 are being imparted onto that summary
im not trying to sound like a hater but the continuity and characterisation of certain aspects is quite different
i did a super super summarized version of this:
https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision/comments/1jnl6ct/the_division_1_story_lore/
LMB had no choice since Bliss was killed at the UN building along with most of the higher ups dead too especially the ones from falcon lost, grand central station and queens tunnel camp; their chain of command collapsed with losses in their leadership and resources especially losing their helicopter,APC and SAM sites to the JTF or enemy factions along with losing constant battles within the dark zone with dwindling resources forced some of them surrendered to the JTF or join the rikers or cleaners while a majority of them became White Tusk after joining Black Tusk but they are more powerful than BT themselves proving their capabilities in the strongholds at DUA,Roosevelt island,US capitol, Tidal basin and manning national zoo holding their ground longer than anyone else but still got defeated either by a squad of agents or solo ones rarely but they are the toughest in the universe able to put up a fight longer than anyone else
they could not kill civilians
Waiting for Bliss to be revealed to still be alive and Black Tusk pulled him out of the wreckage after the helicopter crashed
Bliss is the director 😭
Bliss is Theo, because Theo's outfit in the store shaved his head.
Which will never stop being funny.
Wouldn't surprise me if him and Nat were buddies and had some sort of communication when shit went down
I'm torn on White Tusk being directly acknowledged in lore and them being kept soft-canon because Bliss coming back would be alot more believable than Keener
the white tusk are hard canon and directly acknowledged
Wait fr??? Are they in comms and stuff??
they appear in the novel The Division: Hunted
I was thinking more in-game acknowledgment aside from them showing up in the Legendary Strongholds. Cool to know that they are a real thing tho
The novel, Recruited, got released at the same time when Reign of Fire season happens in Div2?
blisk cant be in bt, he had too much ambition, he wouldnt just be a goon
if he aint in the spotlight he aint doing it
no, few years earlier
If he's alive I'd say he's the perfect replacement for Schaeffer.
Both are high ranking officers. Bliss was Lt. Col. and Schaeffer was Colonel.
Not sure if he's too old to be deployed in the field.
Oh and can you remind me why Schaeffer defected from BT?
he wouldnt work for nat
schaeffer considered himself a true american patriot, he defected when lau told him about hunters and in turn the black tusk being in bed with government corruption
“That Hunter was working for Homeland!?”
something like that
Fun fact: nat and cal were in engaged in propaganda/faction warfare using her own agents to manipulate other factions to do the dirty work for the black Tusk. Unfortunately, ever since we sabotage that summit meeting she permanently lost that ability to use these factions to target the division and the JTF so she went into hiding and allowed this director to take control of the BT operations.
i love how people still use the word "traitor" and other stuff like that to talk about sides in a battle where nobody is in the right, just shades of more or less wrongs
Tbf you can still be a traitor in this kind of situation
You don't have to be right or wrong to betray somebody
So here’s a spoiler everyone, the mysterious person in the newest classified missions is Manny in his spare time since we ignore his retaliations
Collect my retaliations
No
Bliss is Schaeffer's former boss.
This is copium, btw
It's weird, I know, but I find myself more interested in this whole mystery behind SHD Network Anomalies and that unhinged man who's probably a Rogue agent with a grudge and a vendetta,
It’s the classic hook they did with the hunters at first, give little to no detail and allow the community to make theories
plz stop reviving bosses
Rioter leader from the Precinct Siege, it is your time to shine.
Ripper iirc
he had a unique model, after all
Who is Mayra? When "Birdie" tells Manny he needs a programmer to integrate a mobile SHD server into the Black Tusk technology, he mentions Wally, Claire, and Mayra... the first two make sense and we already know who they are, but I don't remember any Mayra...
are you sure it's not "Maira"
yes, Maira..
Maira is the protagonist of the Operation Crossroads trilogy, she's an ex-Navy tech specialist
oh, Thanks...
No BULLET KING BUTTON
Larae Barret is alive
Also Joe ferro is dead, but evil BTSU science turned him into fire frankenstein
That's enough of that now, back to the lore talk.
Btw what's the lore of the Freemen in division resurgence, i mean where did they even pop out anyway and what happened to em before second wave
Wife dies son dies
angry actor man angrily pushes anti JTF attacks forward
atleast thats what I got from it
Quick question, what's the time frame between Division 1 and Division 2 (During WoNY)?
7 months
What year though... 😜
2021 😛
There's no set year, and I would sorta doubt if we ever get an exact one.
Haven't gone through Resurgence yet, so could have new into though.
Yeah I know. Was thinking of playing through Div1's campaign to look for calendars or something
You'll find some conflicting info for sure, IIRC there used to be some kinda clue in the release date of that one rom-com that's advertised everywhere around NYC, and at one point there was concept art that gave a specific year, but that's since been taken down AFAIK.
Just all speculation until it's made official.
yeah it's supposed to be around our time but nothing specific + we get différent présidents and so on so not really any point in placing it ina specific year
Like a lot of good fiction, it's set "in the near future", and the tech is even enough that it doesn't date it too much.
So the year was canon. Until it wasn't. 🥳
Concept art is often done by a 3rd party, I'd hesitate to call it actual canon.
Like a lot of div lore, keep an eye on NGN's stuff for major changes.
Oh, I didn't know 3rd party studios were doing concept arts for other companies products. That seems a little weird to me tbh.
NGN is awesome. Im checking in on his channel from time to time.
its often the case as game studios usually dont want to hire artists full time when they just gonna fire them when there is no more art to create, most artists are freelancers and work for multiple studios, only very big studio get full time artists cause the workload demands it
once the art is done and u get devs to make the game to look like the art, what the artist gonna do ?
Its a shame there's no art book for the division 2, i got both small and large versions of division 1; i would probably create my own version and compile all the works of the artists and credit them in the end from artstation and fandom
Google is showing up results for a div2 one, official or not I'm not sure, but it looks real enough.
Yep seems to be real, likely from an older edition of the game.
prod just not sold anymore officially but u might find it from resell market
After playing Division 1 again I can't help but feel Ubi spent a lot more cash and resources on the first game's general presentation than the sequel. It feels more premium for lack of words.
It's their first game for a looter shooter rpg plus dark zone extraction shooter
I guess that explains it pretty well then 😁
The first game's aesthetics were so good too
it was also the first extraction shooter on the market
when u introduce a new genre u gotta invest a lot in marketing
Yeah definitely. The ambiance is such a big part in creating the feel in the first game
Not really the first, but certainly an early example of the genre in a more refined setting.
Although let's not let this channel turn into another "div1 better" train, and remember we're here for lore talk.
Anyways the division 2 art book is basically the smallest one i have ever seen with just a few pages of lithographs
Just a bonus for some kind of edition, no full-fledged art book around.
Although if you look up the artists, you can probably find some portfolios of their work online.
Btw i dont get one thing, if green Poison is spread through money then how is the black Tusk even getting paid like at that point currency would be useless physical or digital since there's a financial crisis with no notes in circulation and the value of currency reduced to nothing at that point with all thats going on
theyre not motivated by profit
Still how are they even getting those fancy drones and tech not to mention those firepower
DARPA/Ortiz Robotics
You supply the people with food, water, and security. They'll work for you.
Perks come along with it.
Kinda makes sense still most of that equipment and shd tech needs more than just food or water more like a special favor to even make them and give em like hot cakes; shd tech is supposed to be to limited personal almost everyone and their mother has it now
We have quite a lot of lore explaining why factions have the gear they do.
I think its explained for hyenas as in the invaded DUA mission black Tusk supplied them with more firepower and they looted the national guard and police armories highlighting their riot gear looks and for true sons they went chemical warfare with DC62 and outcasts went into bio warfare still doesn't explain how those guys are still alive with the virus in them
Outcast rushers are the ones whos still infected.
The virus only had a planned mortality rate of about 90-95%, and IIRC didn't actually reach that.
The rest are immune or how do you say it.
Asymptomatic more like carriers
The term, I forgot.
but yeah there's more lore for the factions, fairly recently we found out that BT even supplied the RC Cars that Hyena's use for bombs.
Ah yes
Immune and Asymptomatic are not the same thing.
But specifically the rushers are basically dying so thats why they chose to suicide bomb us.
It would be interesting if the cleaners and outcast meet each other
They're the opposite of the same coin.
Both would hate each other to the core
Atleast we can sympathize with cleaners as they want eradicate the virus, while the outcasts want to spread em
Yeah cleaners and outcasts would be absolute mortal enemies.
Rioters = Hyenas
Cleaners = Outcasts
Rikers = True Sons
Last Man Battalion = Black Tusk
Hyenas and Rikers I can maybe see teaming up at one point.
Hyenas are a bit more dumb though.
Rioters = underground and ambushers
Didnt LMB seize an aircraft carrier in Div1?
Yeah along with the police academy, comm tower, queens tunnel, grand central station and the UN building
I think the aircraft carrier is USS Intrepid
I dont play Div1 that much but the mission that takes place in LMB aircraft carrier is an incursion isnt it?
No its where the resistance missions is done
Its where every faction is lured that keener is spotted who wanted to hunt him down for his betrayal and they all work together and division agents are forced to survive endless waves of all factions
Oh
Feels like that part of the story is retconned considering WONY happened and somehow they made up.
4 falcon lost,clear sky,dragon's nest,stolen signal
It was more of a diversion orchestrated by Keener to escape NYC
A 2nd Incursion is coming to div2, "Steel Creek". It's a hydroelectric dam.
About damn time incursions have the most interesting lore of all
Whats the point of Incursion again?
Its like Raid but only 4 players except we already have actual raids.
Its like strongholds but offsite
And harder than usual legendary difficultly if you have bad team synergy
Raid is better if you have 8 especially dark hours one is a pain with boomer boss
Boomer and Wright are my most hated bosses, Wright is a pain in the ass with that greek fire all over him and his constant running chasing us like Tom and Jerry
Dark Hours is much easier than Wooden Horse though.
And ngl I love Wooden Horse bosses skills especially Williams.
Razorback seemed to be a lame boss though
Its just a vehicle.
Exactly there's no tension fighting it
God I want that damn Lockdown Seeker Mine Williams used.
If they release it in store
You know what it is right?
the outcasts are more akin to the rikers, given the whole "trapped on an island and enacting rage upon the city" thing
Idk i get confused with all these apparels and cosmetics left and right
Rikers don't go infecting more people and their main targets were law enforcement and government
the rikers were committing atrocities upon the general populace as well
The Warden was about to abandon them till Dragov freed Barett and the rest is history
They are convicts what can you expect but outcasts are reverse cleaners who wanted the city to burn from the virus
the outcasts also had grievances with law enforcement/government/those who left them "trapped" same as the rikers
Outcasts had beef with everyone including civilian militia
and the rikers had beef with everyone
Still Rikers are more competent than outcasts and by far more experienced than them
Everyone had beef with everyone from rioters to LMB to Black tusk to hunters
Not sure if you played wooden horse before but Williams uses a bunch of SHD techs. He heavily modified them. Lockdown Seeker Mine is a seeker mine but filled with riot foam. The riot foam is unique as well because you cant press F to break free and the only way to break free is to look down and shoot the foam.
But correct me if I'm wrong hunters only targets were division agents right, cause most of the time they go after them rather than JTF or anyone else as ordered by Mcmanus or Sokolova
I haven't got a full house with iron horse so i never played one yet, i find full teams for dark hours most of the time
Major Williams has 4 SHD techs.
-
Chimera Chem Launcher:
Williams has a Chem Launcher from an agent he killed, but he modified it, so it can swap super-fast between two different kinds of ammo. Apparently only chemical warfare and straight-up war crime level stuff can give him whatever sick thrill he's after. Ugh. This guy. -Z. -
Corroder:
True Sons engineers are constantly telling him not to mess with the Oxidizer recipe too much. If they're lucky, he ignores them. If they're unlucky, he takes it personally and tends to disappear. Either way, he ignores anything they say and basically cranks up the toxicity level beyond safe levels. I'm surprised his chem launcher hasn't melted from the inside out yet. -Z. -
Wildfire:
Regular Fire-starter ammo is pretty effective. It starts fires. What more do you want? Well, turns out Williams wasn't satisfied with that and made a new version. He used live targets until he was satisfied it burned as hot as long as he wanted. He used my friends. He didn't need to do that, but he did. One day, he'll get what's coming to him. -Z. -
Lockdown Seeker Mine:
More tech stolen from the Division, of course, it is. From the way they talk, I swear True Sons think they are warriors of truth and justice or some shit, but they're just thieves and murderers with a uniform and rank if you ask me. Riot foam is already annoying enough, and Williams put in Seeker Mines, so he can nail people from further away. Because he's a d*ck. -Z.
Fixed the Wildfire description.
Now that I read it , i want that seeker mine too
Z is the friendly NPC who helped us along the way during the raid but got killed by Morozova herself right before Williams boss fight.
Need to play that Asap
So yeah, thats why Major Williams is my favorite boss of all time.
But what I want more to be added is the axe that the hunters use i mean cmon why do they get to use the cool stuff
Mine is the lovebirds, their lore is kinda interesting too
Other than Williams, these two are my favorite bosses as well.
#fanart-and-photomode message
White Tusk tank with big Deflector shield.
You dont find them anywhere else. An enemy with Deflector shield.
Reminds me of that LMB who carries that shield during legendary missions in div1 except hes more bulkier
Someone else also mentioned it.
I liked the archetype variety in div1 especially with LMB on legendary their gear and looks changed accordingly
Wish they bring the old support station, mobile cover and gas seeker Mines
Support station is not that different to restorer hive.
Still has more uses than the hive till its duration, hive revives once and goes into cool down
BT tech made by the same people as SHD tech.
Ortiz Robotics
Does Ortiz robotics and Skell tech from breakpoint have any connection ?
No
Weird usually all tom Clancy games had some sort of connection
Like in wildlands where breakpoint, future soldier, rainbow six were all in the same timeline
Div exists outside of the direct canon of the other franchises.
Which is why we're so ripe for tie-ins.
Would be cool if ghost recon or rainbow six get involved
There is a sort of half tie in thingy with Splinter Cell, but it's more of a "what if" story.
Dont forget Splinter Cell
You can even use Splinter Cell Echelon specialization in Breakpoint.
The GOAT one of all
We have a splinter cell outfit in div2.
but it's still not canon.
Yo Im lost on the lore didnt we kill Parnell during Warlors of NY ?
Alongside Keener yes.
Then why is he here in Battle for Brooklyn being a nice guy and all
In short, both Theo and Keener used a body double and somekind of technology deceiving both our eyes and ISAC.
In long, watch NGN video titled How Keener faked his death.
That's some dedication from the doubles lol
Actually wait, maybe it wasnt a body double. I need to rewatch that video myself.
Granted I missed a lot seeing I only play the game sporadically, like I only did the Uprising at Ironworks yesterday
You guys remember the Decoy skill we got? It trick ISAC's UI which our Agent's lenses so Keener and Theo use that on us and think we finally got them
So we're basically shooting at hologram this whole time when fighting Theo and Keener in their original missions?
The pacing is slow as hell. Comparable to One Piece if you think about it.
think its more like an improve version of the hologram, the only way to deceive agents completely
I still wish we get to team up with Keener and Bardon as companions.
A loyalist, a rogue, and a BTSU walked into the Hovercraft.
Is Keener an ally or enemy at this point, even if he was allied with the jtf again he would still face the charges for his crimes
ally or enemy, what keener still is an a__hole
I mean the same would happen with Schaffer since he assassinated the previous potus and conducted operations against the Division and JYF
It would be interesting for Mcmanus or sokolova get their hands dirty directly
hold on is that confirmed that scheaffer killed previous potus ?
Technically, him and the BTSU bribed secret services to fake his suicide and then Schaffer and Brenner assassinated the secret service agents that did it
The ECHO is still in-game if you want to see it.
In an underground car park close-ish to the BoO.
So, what's the last remaining state with like, actually functional JTF and gov?
Cuz I've heard people say it's NJ, but I kinda doubt it
JTF is barely functioning at this point. Been carrying their asses since Div1.
Militias roam the streets.
In the Resurgence server. Link in the #social-media.
Fun fact: Mary Masters and Sueko Tanagi are my wives.
they’re fictional characters.
That didn't stop people from having a crush on fictional characters.
There's a fairly creepy distinction between being attracted to someone that doesn't exist, and claiming to be in a polygamous relationship with 2 different fictional characters at the same time.
i have a different issue, i dont know if i want to date a character or if i wanna be them
sometimes life is hard
JTF is the reason why most of these factions exist and hate, Keener, true sons, cleaners and outcasts are born from their ineptness
The outcasts and cleaners could have been prevented if they took a little bit of care towards the infected and shown a little courtesy to the honest blue collar workers who worked tirelessly not to mention the true sons would have never happened if they took their job seriously instead rely on the division to fix their light bulb, no wonder why Keener was pissed when they built the dark zone
anyone know where the discord is for division resurgence?
Sure we do. Check #social-media.
Speaking of the upcoming DLC that takes place in Central Park, we know it's a mass grave but I vaguely remember a spot in Dark Zone back in Div1 where there are huge piles of bodies.
As high as 4 stories buildings.
Yup, huge pile of bodies near central. They just, left em there instead of dealing with them
But what confuses me is, why did they make the clan base in central park for resurgence if its a highly contagious area
¯_(ツ)_/¯
If I remember from the photo behind Benitez in Resurgence, its the supply base for all operations in the Upper Side of NYC
So like a fob for the JTF, with the player's role somewhat being renovating the location. Plus, with it being away from the hub of violence in midtown and a decent ways away from the BoO, might as well utilize it.
FoB is short for Forward Operating Base, for anyone who's curious.
God the amount of Bodies that's gonna be there and especially your walking on top of them
I mean, its just gonna add to the creepy aspect the game's gonna return to which I'm so excited for, like just seeing a large pit of bodies from all the people who died from the virus, and I think hunters are gonna have a larger presence in central if I'm correct!
I wouldn't be surprised
Chances are the park is like a forest now
Oh 100%
Bodies in NY would be rotten, and eaten by animals by now.
im wondering where the bodies went, we saw piles of bodies in div 1, and nothing in div 2
"into the soup".
If you want to look pile of bodies then go to DZ.
WONY's map has plenty of them, if you go to the right areas.
There's one in particular that comes to mind, between two buildings.
yeah but there just like so few of them compared to div 1
in div 2 there are bodies scattered in few areas, in div 1 there are litteral mountains of bodies on most streets, and in dz its way worse
also since we past summer time, most of them should have decomposed by now especially when left out in the open, the odor must be nasty
I know, I know. "div2 bad hurr durr".
God this place is tiring.
i wasnt saying "div 2 bad", more like "the place must be awfull to live next to"
also that maybe they found a way to dispose the bodies, but seeing the numbers i wonder what they did that isnt just "big fire lets dance around"
yeah im curious with how they are gonna do that, because one of the comms said that central park was full and they had to dump the bodies in DZ09 and 08 right?
I just don't think DC lends itself to mass graves very well and after a few months it's probably not the best idea to keep rotting decaying corpses layin about
during the summer too no less
didn't they burn most bodies inside those burn pits?
i dont think i saw a dialog about this, thats why i was asking
there is no dialoge about it, you can find them random around the map and mostly in outcast territory
Well today comm was interesting
What about?
Spoiler || washington dc 395 road and rochambeau bridge all leading to one place ||
|| two people probably high just talking and one sees a war hound on in DC and some war hound testing ||
isnt that just outcast burning stuff tho ?
Manhunt: Rise Up - Comm - Tail Chasing
||Two civilians, high as a kite, discuss about Warhound, where one of them saw one of those bots running around Rochambeau Bridge.||
||While they do go philosophical on whether Warhound are built using dog brains, the other civilian gets concerned and decides to call up the militia to investigate.||
Already commented that
Yeah, I know, but I do these summaries out of posterity 😛
Fair
But it should pretty obvious where the bridge leads to
And 395 in DC
Which confirms where we are going for the manhunt mission
also yeah, but most bodies have been burned in burn pits i think, you can find them in their stronghold and Potomac Event Center, but yeah outcast are also just burning stuff and people
yeah but thats just outcast, what about the rest
if washinton had as many bodies laying around as ny in div 1 i think there should be either massive graves or burning pits in several spots, just not outcast territory
werent they also digging graves in east mall and west potomac park?
also they could have shipped the bodies away or throw them in the river
that found footage was more graves for their prisonners/slaves iirc
like, they force u to dig a grave then shoot u in it
I think not all graves
Most yeah but I think also a lot of them are graves that they dug for the bodies
i mean there def isnt enough graves for the pop gone from the virus, its mostly for jtf/enemies
you would need several mass graves sites
Yeah but there was one control point that said that they were digging graves for the death of the virus, I think it was called sinkhole.
Tbh I just think most bodies are either shipped to outside of DC or throw in the water or burned
i think so too, but its def not explored in the game too much, i dont think they were shipped out either they dont have the manpower
now that i think about it, i think devs just didnt include that cause they want people to focus more on gameplay and not make the game aesthetic too depressing, which is a good call imo, the city is really beautiful and the atmosphere is neat
Population density is probably a lot lower in DC than NY too, plus it wasn't the epicenter of the outbreak so maybe more time to organise themselves
yeah thats also true
Yeah I think your right about that
people prob ran away before too many died, spreading it even more
and there was no real quarantine in dc unlike ny
Yeah they prob went to outside of DC because they heard what happened when you stayed inside a city (so what happened to new York)
tho i think if div 3 ever happen all that virus stuff will prob be smaller of not completely gone, and they would focus on new threats that are easier to deal with
Yeah I think they will focus more on Black Tusk and enemy factions more and trying to retake the country
idk, maybe another new faction could take their place, prob the cabal got tired of black tusk failing so many missions and they got a new person in charge
or plot twist, keener take the lead of bt now to take over the country
Wouldn't surprise from what I've seen in game, Black Tusk have a lot of losses and their commanders have been either Dying, not following orders well or betrayed them
and now theo is on our side fighting keener cause his adoptive dad is bad and he wanna change his mind
Oh wait for real I thought I killed that Nerd
well same as keener, he alive again now
no, just thoses 2
Oh
well, hornet also made a comeback but he dead now
Oh huh, wait how did he came back?
we killed him in div 1 after he abducted tchernenko, but he wasnt dead keener saved him, so he came back in a manhunt with outcasts to spread eclipse virus in dc, so we stopped him
oh okay, i really need to watch NGN videos again im lacking behind so much or forgetting things
yeah ngn is a good channel to catch up on lore
i legit feel stupid and ashamed now forgetting or not knowing the lore of my favorite game
u shouldnt, there is a lot and its constantly changing
not everybody can keep with it, thats why this chan or ngn videos exist
also some stuff been retconned like keener being bad
he isnt bad anymore?
thats what they going with, now he was secretly good but saying he is bad to avoid suspicions on his investigation of the cabal
i dont know how i feel about that
hes bad™***************************************
yeah, idk how to feel about that either, maybe that will change, we'll see
is there something else important i missed?
i also think i'm gonna continue playing the main missions again i left off at Coney island
schaeffer is with us now, so is theo, keener is in jail in the white house, kelso is rogue to investigate stuff herlself too, bt is trying to retaliate everywhere at once, there is a lot
if u wanna redo the story, do the dc missions, then ny expansion, then manhunts up until kelso, then bfb expansion, then the rest of manhunts
or watch ngn recap, that works too
okay thanks! i really dont want to do WONY again realism mode and doing the expansion 3 times before ruined it for me
WONY is the only thing stopping me from continue the story
well if u played it already, just do the manhunts, then bfb expansion
i can just skip it?
RNG
Im sure his question is more of "Why scavengers is a kill squad ?"
There are 3 kinds of kill squads. The faction related kill squad and BTSU Team 9. The faction related kill squad is self explanatory and we got lores regarding the BTSU Team 9. Scavengers on the other hand has no explanation as to why its a kill squad.
Technically, they're the underground faction, and I'd imagine they were hired by the related faction to try and stop us.
Oh okay thanks for explaining it
Are they called that? I didn't know that there isn't much info in game they are not even show in the info tab, I call them scavengers because they you know scavenge.
It would make sense why they would be hired.
Yeah, they have a faction symbol and have death card quotes if you get killed by them.
Especially those Chainsaw bozos.
Dudeeeeeee
oh cool, i only have seen a few of them so i dont know much about them
Scavengers are a different group to the underground. Scavengers are the ones with bows or dustbin lids & makeshift axes
Wasn't them called ambushers?
And for some reason they don't have voice lines, they are just silent people.
They're mute.
You think they wanna talk when their whole thing is killing people while they least expect it?
I mean, even the factions snipers and rushers who also whole thing is killing the target while they least expect it say a lot of stuff.
Quite possibly, my brain seems to insist on thinking they're called scavengers
Remind me again: What was the correct way to play the story to current state? Campaign, WONY, some manhunts, Brooklyn?
DC content up to Tidal Basin, Zoo White Oak Pentagon and Coney, (Kenley college probably goes here if you even care), WoNY, most of the seasons, BfB
Got the answer already, thanks for reaffirming.
@steady vale a the end of Alani Kelso manhunt we use a Rogue AI ANNA to Open a cache, after trying to open we get stunned by a shock trap and our SHD system turns Rogue
Can't remember the details right now
Welp guys, I don’t wanna brag but I’m a confirmed hunter now
Ohh yeah! I remember
We were framed
u do season manhunts up until kelso and then fb
But I think ANNA was referring to Keener, not us.
Did anyone got a picture of The Director from the latest Livestream?
I was able to unfold the next scout comms and my god these are the most dumbest civilians ive ever hear
They took some weeds, got high and saying dude everywhere, and then one of them came up too close to an unarmed warhound as that other civ called the militia
When are the civilians was mentioning a Warhound full of suitcases
Yup
I don't think he was in there
Was he?
Weird. Because my friend got a keyart of the guy when he summarized the stream for my behalf, on DM.
Hmmmmmmm 🤔
Yeah there's a picture floating around that's been posted several times of some BT chap we don't recognise, AFAIK.
Was just about to send it too
With his colouring, he's definitely related to Team 9 in some way.
Yup
So I have to spend 60 dollars together jeez
And by the looks of his outfit and gun I'm guessing he's gonna be a rusher
The most you'll spend is 20 dollars 😛
They're getting channel names confused.
Fate has decided to buy the Season Pass twice, for some reason.
Well with Brooklyn event pass and the season pass edition with tier skips and his outfit 60 dollars
Again: wrong channel.
Sorry
If you think about it, our agents have went outside the US, because of the gen assembly in TD1
Because the UN building is considering international territory
The Russian Consulate would be outside of the US too, right?
IDK I'm not American.
Nah, consulates aren't
Oh that's funny, googling it: embassies are not considered foreign soil, just the host country's laws don't apply there.
Now, this might sound kind of dumb, but why were their agents outside of Moscow? Because in the Langley report for Russia, it states agents were or still are in Moscow.
Tom Clancy inspired story, so there's always a russian bad guy.
Turns out now there actually is a russian villain!
CIA agents
Oh I just assumed that's what they meant, since ya know, "Langley".
Oh, I didn't know the CIA operated international lol
They legally can't operate within the US IIRC.
Although I believe the CIA don't actually use "Agents" for field working people, it's "Officers".
Officially unofficially they might
Let's not get into that side of things.
Ok
Any way the manhunt mission coming soon is gonna have a few bosses
My guess is probably 3 or 4 since we have 16 comms
How they normally work, is that you need to re-run it at least once to finish it off.
8 now one next week for final scout that equals 9 plus maybe 3 or 4 collectables and the rest will drop with the bosses
Some former ones were like 3-4 times extra.
Don't remind me doing bardon manhunt mission was annoying getting one at a time I think
I think they might've actually tweaked it recently though, because I was missing a bunch for Mari Singh at the Zoo, and I got like 5 in one run.
Hmmmmmmm well we see and hopefully we won't have a pact mistake with that missing comm
Even the manhunt comms can explain future manhunts
And I love division lore
Regardless, I'm okay with it, since I'm going to be running it twice anyway for the Master.
I am hoping for Dark Hours though, since there's already a BT presence there. Would be interesting to see what's happened with the Airport since we rampaged through it.
Well 2 comms have explained where we are going with the Manhunt mission thanks to the locations they gave
I won't say it here but if anyone is wondering where feel free to DM me
I'm sure I'll have it spoiled for me early anyway by some jerk.
I hope that in the division 3 (if we ever get it) that we get to explore LA or SF because we've spent alot of time on the east
Div3 is confirmed to be in early active development.
(and yep, would love LA for it)
I've always wondered what happened to the west, because we see it once with the SHD nationwide activation scene
We did?
How many novels are there for Division? And where they all taking place?
i thought like 8 and a audio book so 9? some take place on the east, a few in heartland and one in Texas
There's the Operation Crossroads novels, which I highly recommend.
Recruited, Compromised, and Hunted, in that order.
I want them so bad but seems impossible to find without having to spend an unreasonable amount
Cheers! I found those 3 in audio book format on Spotify. 🤘
four conventional novels, Broken Dawn and Operation Crossroads
none of them are set in singular cities and they encompass a pretty large swathe of the USA
@glad spruce @ashen jungle ngl, one thing i wish they'd do again is mask the boss list when you select a mission on the map
They did that for the Stovepipe hunt but basically that time only
Boss list says Stovepipe, surprise, you're fighting a crazed warhound instead
most missions we know who we are after, stovepipe was a decoy so thats why its like that, but most other missions arent decoys, we go after a target and we get them
They could use it to hide twists like if they end up getting away or something
Something tells me the Director might not go down in one season
well, most missions we are doing a surprise attack, they usually dont have the possibility to do a decoy, stovepipe was a full season fake threat to lure us out and attack the white house, it was an additionnal side mission
That Livestream
Finally he will make a appearance
I know who the Manhunt target will be
Last of the original council member
|| Maybe Zodiac finally locked in after nearly overdosin’ on his product ||
At the very least, we're only 5 days away from the Climax Mission.
And from what we gleaned from the livestream, next season is gonna follow from the ending cutscene for this season.
Yup finally going after him hehehe
Interesting guess we shall see
Yall think the Hunters are losing their aura as the story goes on?
they've lost it since they made them puzzle or secret like quest since the beginning cause this guys wants their mask soooo much
The hunter in the bardon schaeffer manhunt was honesty the last time i felt that a hunter had aura, the rest just feel annoying with the whole "solve my riddles 3" side quest to find em
Imagine the new hunter's quest requiring you to genuinely go to other games/websites to grab some collectible at a certain time on a certain weather and then grab the same collectible in game, and then when you die to said hunter, YOU HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING AGAIN!!!
they lost only 3 hunters so far in lore, puzzle and countdown hunters are not canon
im glad the puzzle in, bfb werent as insane as ny puzzle cause the last one had me going insane while having the entire solution on my 2nd screen i cant even imagine how people manage to find it from 0
4 or 5 at least
3?
4 or 5?
jhonson, hunter at schaefer, hunter at kelso, what else ?
Actually wait. Im thinking of 3 as well. Deceit Hunter from Bardon Schaeffer manhunt mission, Brian Johnson, and one from Incursion. Forgot his name was.
ah yes there is also wright, but we didnt know he was a hunter then
Never done Kelso climax mission.
u should
So 4 then?
yeah, 4, but only 3 we known before killing them
Im counting Wright. Hes really unique for a Hunter.
yeah he counts
well thats 4 hunter we took down ourselves, nothing says there arent more dead, but not that we know of
Deceit, Recruiter, Kelso Manhunt, Wright, ||Thaddeus Greene in Hunted||
probably-maybe at least one in Div 1
Where exactly? Is Survival mode even canon?
I think it is yeah
idk if at that point mcmanus wanted all agents dead or if they were still trying to target rogues only since our watch was hit during the crash it didnt display rogue status even if u killed other agents
Wait I think Countdown is canon as well. It was mentioned by Theo during a mission in Brooklyn.
He said Pentco power plant is down. Thats why the mobile nuclear generator will solve the settlement energy problem.
Hunters are not canon in it
Why's that?
Kelso mentioned them Hunters spawning at the end of Countdown.
yeah but that's just for the gameplay not lore
in lore we also dont kill 20.000 people per week
in Hunted the presence of Hunters in NY is implied to be true, Div 1 Hunters outside of Survival aren’t really canon
Whats the correct order chronologically all the missions from div 1 to div 2
Isn’t it based on the levels?
Yeah but there's order know like how they proceed according to time-line
