the way to do it is you need a rifle with all stability mods - no crit chance - start by taking out all of the enemies, you can use a shock trap and the tamper proof talent for the turret which you can throw down to shock him in place, use a sniper turret so it doesn't shoot him (he will draw aggro to the turret). If you have flashbang grenades this also helps. Start by taking out his shoulder pads, then his helmet, then go for his elbow pads, kneepads, backpack and finally chest piece (in this order) it prevents you from accidentally killing him...

if you don't have any of the above or don't feel like going through the hassle, let him prepare to swing at you, then roll away, he will stumble and you will have a few seconds to shoot

I generally leave the missions part until the league week so I can run them as speedruns (two birds, one stone) and of course you get the double xp for first 15 levels when a new target becomes available, but that xp bonus comes regardless of what you do, doesn't have to be manhunt-related

Basically you need someone brand new to an Ubisoft account connected to Division 2. You share them your referral link and they need to accept it. However you need to wait until both of you receive a confirmation email that you’re linked. The recruit has to be under 3 hours - non boosted character. Within those 3 hours you must play and complete 3 main missions with them. I think strongholds count as well but I’d just stick with missions. After the main missions are completed you need to wait 24 hours to see if it delivers to your stash or inventory. If it doesn’t work you’re forgotten about and either need a new friend or someone to make a burner account

  2. Is there much difference between someone just trying to break into heroic content for matchmaking with people and people that have done it besides minmaxing? Is there any kind of milestone I should be trying to reach with stats before going to heroic, or is it more about tactics and minmaxing at that point

1: midnight each day (PTS) weekly are at Tues 12am.
2: yes, jump from challenging to heroic is pretty big. Heroic vets can speed clear it while fresh heroic players will struggle to stay alive. milestone is having a good build for heroic and good tactics (need both)

Summit or CPs 3+ are generally the best for loot farming highest difficulty with the most directives you can still speed clear on. and Loot drops is just RNG.

Once you have unlocked it and gotten the first one, it appears in the loot pool for Assault rifle targeted loot but as an exotic its still going to be a rare drop. Get another one on your first char then drop it in the stash and your second char will be able to get it from there.

Need some general advice honestly:
There's so much in the game I want to do and as a true completionist - what order should I do things in?
I wanna climb summit, start all the projects, do the manhunts, do league speedruns, get gear to start heroics > raids. Basically wanna 100% everything but I tend to just do bits and piece all over and losing my mind over it. Is there an optimal route?

As a completionist, I started out by finding all the comms, echos and artifacts

Got all side missions completed, all main missions

filled in all the data for people found.

As for projects, by the time you hit WT1, you should have ALL projects upto that point completed, ignoring dailies/weeklies.

make sure to go to the crafting bench and craft one of each weapon mod that they give

oh, and make sure to get the 5 hidden side missions

#

then race through to WT5 concentrating on just doing the 2 side missions and one stronghold per WT, crafting gear on each WT to reach the score required

#

Go to NYC, and follow the missions through to level 40 and NYC completion. Get all comms and echos in NYC.

Correct, it goes 1 > 2 > 3 > 4 > 5 (Scavenging).
Once you've filled in all of the first 4, you'll only get Scavenging.

the way to do it is you need a rifle with all stability mods - no crit chance - start by taking out all of the enemies, you can use a shock trap and the tamper proof talent for the turret which you can throw down to shock him in place, use a sniper turret so it doesn't shoot him (he will draw aggro to the turret). If you have flashbang grenades this also helps. Start by taking out his shoulder pads, then his helmet, then go for his elbow pads, kneepads, backpack and finally chest piece (in this order) it prevents you from accidentally killing him...
if you don't have any of the above or don't feel like going through the hassle, let him prepare to swing at you, then roll away, he will stumble and you will have a few seconds to shoot

Last night, i was fortunate enough to join a group doing the summit that was good enough to complete floor 100 and beat the hunters. I had called in the extract and acquired the ridgeway's project for the vest. For the challenge that is to neutralize 2 hunters, are the hunters on floor 100 more advanced than the hunters that can be spawned in free roam and should i spawn 2 instead of doing floor 100 again?

either works, the hunters will be the same difficulty (dependent on summit/world difficulty) as any others you find. If you haven't done any of the masks yet, you may find some of them quicker and easier to spawn than getting back to floor 100

It won't increase the quality of the drops though, and any drops on Normal are quite likely to have poor rolls.

Nope, Targeted Loot is an additional drop, on top of an enemy's regular Loot.

with the hunters do not face them head on, i strongly suggest you try get at least another agent to help you out. Sit in the 2nd room of floor 100 and wait until the hunters get restless, if your on heroic i suggest riot foam chem launcher. Then light up the hunters with shotguns. if your having trouble with getting a single one in the room run molotovs as the hunters will not run through the fire.

It’s RNG as to which crate will have it. I had to get the last piece and it dropped on the last box.

Right so some events like the Reanmiation one (that ended today as well) you have to trigger on/off. When the event is active, you just select that pane and it should show you how to activate/deactivate

I think my playstyle causes me to get distracted cause I notice when playing people ignore 4 archetypes that causes the team to wipe so I try to get them if I can,

Enemy skills (if they have a weak point I’ll take it out) or if it’s black tusk you can’t mess around and have to take them out unless you have a tank, any grenadier archetype and leader archetype which overcharged the enemies in radius and chungas - at minimum take out the weak point of chungas or have some pin them whilst everyone else as clears… people who go straight for named enemies then turn around and wonder why nothings dead and they are irk me… plus no one seems to use utility skills, ie blinder firefly, most I ever see used is banshee pulse which does produce a hell of an advantage, but there’s others such as the grenades from your spec and shock traps etc

Levelling will give you points, as will doing projects. A very good source early on will be doing certain bounties. When you inspect them, they show if that bounty will give upgrade points (usually 3-5)

If you want to get Nemesis you have to deconstruct Adrestia Sniper Rifle which you take in a Tidal Besin mission (by opening a room with the key you get during the mission). This is the beginning for the Nemesis hunt. OR, I'm not sure about this one - you can just try weekly projects that guarantee you exotic caches and try your luck there

@quaint birch There's actually a "Veil" mask in div2 already, it's part of the WONY Hunter set.
I don't recall exactly what they looked like in Div1, but with 25+ Hunter Masks in div2 available at any one time, it's possible to be at least similar.

the world tier grind takes a few hours. Once you finish it, parts of the map become invaded weekly, so you'll be able to access them that way
