So I find I can manage fine with the HF/SMG/Memento build on Heroic missions, but I have a tough time taking over Heroic control points with it unless I have Memento stacks all the way from earlier encounters. There are just too many gold enemies spread out too much, so I end up a) taking damage from places not covered by the shield and b) the shield not surviving a beating from multiple enemies in front shooting away. I have died a couple of times before I could finish it. Any tips? Disclaimer: this could be just a case of "git gud" because I've only been playing the game for a month or so.

Control Points are a lot harder to go face than missions as not everyone is coming from one direction and uncontrolled adds can make it chaotic. Unless you have super human situational awareness it’s very hard to not get surrounded on some of the more open CPs.

because it used to be super-powerful, a couple of cluster players could clear every room with them in seconds, so they nerfed them. They work best before combat starts (enemies don't move around so much and don't dive out the way), and for forcing enemies sitting in cover to move

they can still be useful in specific builds (eg with hard-wired you can throw them out so often the enemy doesn't get much chance to get settled into shooting you), I think most people who use an explosive build tend to stick with them as well as the mortar turret

clusters arent meant for single target, they are meant for mass AOE. They are still great in a cluster seeker spam build, better in group play.

As long as you're post Lvl 40, matchmaking should (depends on the time of day in the US) take a few minutes at most.
you're either searching for the "wrong" things or might have that bug. Try matchmaking for a heroic anything, if it takes more than 3 minutes, it's likely bugged.

It's more about the Talent than the gun itself, you can basically use any of the AR's with a decent fire rate.
If you want the white-break of ARs, it seems to be M4/p416/Famas/Carbine-7 right now.

ARs probs work best with it.
Raid LFGs are normally done via #lfg-raid-pc and just letting them know you are new to it should be fine enough.
The most important factor to how long a raid takes is if the Raid Leader has done it before + listening to them.

yeah I had that, took me three runs of Pentagon before I could complete it, the first two times (one in a group, one solo) it put me back to the start of the mission. The third time (also solo) it saved progress, so I was able to wear the drone down despite 4 more disconnects

Hey so im grinding for the D50 so I can craft Liberty. Doing it in Summit and I'm trying to figure out what the most efficient way to grind it is. I run 4 directives so I get +100% but they don't hinder me. But I'm not sure which difficulty to run. Legendary is slower but more loot? Challenging faster but less loot? Heroic cause its snug in the middle? I just don't know enough about loot drop chance

but if you know some good people the best is floor 100 or 90 leg 10 directives, but that will require some coordination to set up and some skill to make it worth it

pretty sure difficulty doesn't affect the number of drops, only their quality, so just whack on challenging or something you can run fast. Directives DO increase number of (targetted loot) drops, so having more is better if they don't slow you down too much. Elites have higher drop chances, so being higher up the summit will help. You can farm boss floors (90 is best) by always leaving one add alive, getting all the loot, then jumping to lobby and back again to reset: the bosses are guaranteed to drop a piece of targetted loot.

do it on as low a difficulty as the challenge allows, kill all the adds in the basilisk fight (leave basilisk alone), and use a pistol to destroy the 6 armor pieces (left arm, left leg, right arm, right leg, torso, head)

just farming as there's no way to optimize mods afaik; targeted loot on heroic or legendary where applicable is likely to be your best bet for godroll mods
you could also try your hand at crafting them, but not sure how likely a godroll from crafting is, if even possible

usually u just do the 4 timed missions. The league is 2 wks long, so if u do 4 timed one wk, then 2 timed the next wk u should be able to collect all the league rewards. And u claim the wkly challenge rewards in uplay, then collect the credits from the stash box

Not really. It (potentially) gets you shepherd ranks, which can award a commendation and a backpack trophy if you get them high enough before they reset. If you answer the call, get your endorsement and keep on playing in that game, you'll get xp bonuses from time to time (instead of getting additional endorsements).

And yeah, if you change global difficulty you just lose all of your CPs. If you don't want to do that, just warp to NY and change global, and you'll keep your DC CPs.

Very easy way is Pistol + tall shield (some skill tiers) and use pulse to highlight parts. Dodge him until you kill all the adds then take your time with him. do it on normal or hard too.

Im not sure. Ive only ever had it aimed at enemies and their proxies... and the proxies are always multi locked

Its how it locks on. the longer you keep it on 1 target, the more “lock on missiles” it fires at them.
You can fire ALL the missiles at 1 target, if you keep them targeted and wait for lock ons.

the way I think it works is every 0.5s, the talent checks to see if you are still shooting
if you are, you get a stack/keep your stacks, if you aren't, you lose all of them

generally people are welcoming as long as you let them know you are inexperienced. bring a decent red dps build and listen to what they have to say
sometimes they might say "exp only" in lfg-raid which means they only want experienced players

strained is a pretty good talent on the right guns, it tends to work better on things like lmgs with lower rpm and high mag size

it's up to you hypntC, I would recommend going to floor 100 on heroic, and then changing your difficulty to legendary
depending on your build you will probably want to ask people to help you clear 100, usually people will look for floor 100 clears in the ingame chat

you might still be able to do it solo, the second room hunter's fury will work fine if you camp at the back
but the first room might be a tad difficult with hf on leg
I would say use your hf build, get to 100, look for a floor 100 leg group, and go to the left in the first room with your hf build
second room you'll want to camp at the back, if your group is experienced they'll do the same thing

the loot on leg has the possibility to be better but it's up to you to decide if it's worth the extra effort or not
a lot of people will repeatedly farm floor 100 on leg because in a group of 4 you can get a decent amount of drops with good rolls

It's done via the Recalibration Library, near your Crafting Vendor in the BoO (White House).

I think gonjon means for exotics; to reroll exotics you need to buy the recalibration blueprint from inaya (vendor at white house near crafting station) and then go into crafting -> appropriate exotic category
at the bottom of the list there will be the option to craft an exotic and it will use exotic components (gotten from deconstructing exotics) and the exotic itself

Sorry for the lot of questions 😄 Im really thankful for the answers i got here. So im thinking about this: When the character's damage become so damn strong? Im SHD level 76, and have a CQC Hunter's Fury build. Almost all of my attributes are maxed out, Weapon damage, crit chance and crit damage. There is still a few things left to max out of course, but its 80% done. But my damage output is still waaaay weaker than i see on Youtube from builds. I actually created my build from a Youtube video, my build is barely weaker compared to the YT build (yep, im not maxed out yet), but i dont think those few percentages of DMG will create such a big difference. SHD levels will give me such a high damage output in the future?
EDIT: Im missing like 10% of Crit hit dmg, 2-3 % of crit chance, and around 2-3% of weapon damage from maxing out everything. This is not big at all compared to the Youtube builds just like this but my damage is still extremely low compared to those.

I was blind and messed it up: Forgot to recalculate my talents. -.- . So yeah, i did it. Now its better, its still not as good like in the videos, but its a big improvement. Memento backpack + Intimidate chestpiece btw, at least now, lol. My chestpiece is actually pretty crap now, need to grind a better one. Not sure if i should go with Critical chance 10% or Shotgun damage 10%.
