depends... if you are looking for a particular exotic, I would say floor 90, because the hunters seem to have an absolutely abysmal drop rate for exotics, but if you can down them effectively, standard gear drops from them pretty well

I just find Summit too boring 😅

Hmm, I had some inconsistencies too with that one, was midway through it on my main and boosted a new char when I got WONY, and he got it completed which unlocked the blueprint for my main (since blueprint sharing) and the project just remained there iirc, but it disappeared after a while but can't remember what/if I did anything. :/

Both are good for 2 different reasons,
Classic hits harder, is more stable ect (good at mid to long range)
CQB faster RPM so has better burst dps at close range but with the same mag size so has less sustained dps, even less at range because you will miss.

Yeah you need to convert a Sweet Dreams, I don't think it's in the loot pool (although I thought that was the reason for the indestructible level 1 item, to register it as "owned" so it can drop)

You get a backpack trophy that’s it...discovery is just for a snapshot of the real raid...far too easy and players would just farm it for keys if that was possible

What's the deal with the +1 mortar ammo mods? If you have the mortar turret you will also have the +1 mortar ammo mod that is part of the spec. tree.. And you can't use more than one. Is there a hidden/alternate use for it?

I played both discovery and normal raids in both raids in div2. I played discovery DH raid just for fun last time. But i cant get it. All players just running around gunning every boss and they can easily kill it.

If my observations are correct, does the discovery doesnt have a same mechanics as the normal raid?

I mean we do a lot of mechanics when in normal raid like for example: the ABCD laptops in boomer. We interact to it when in normal mode. But when I join dicsovery i havent seen any player interact to the laptop. They just hitting the boomer like nothing. Like normal missions on div 2

I feel bad for them. Sometimes if the player already plays or experinced the discovery raid and ready to play the normal mode. They been kicked out or changed just because of the mechanics. Tending not to have a chance to experience fully the normal raid. Worse is they cant get the exclusive raid exotics.

Nah spotter drone is good for pvp and heal drone is good for just like, basic heals in pve for dmg builds. Bombardier drone is trash though.

Close quarter combat where you can place your shots easier.
Strained sucks for the simple fact if your not killing things in under 1 second your build well not to be rude sucks. So strained doesn't actual help that much, so people run in-sync (on ars) to give a huge damage buff when pulling up a shield or using a turret

the reward on the top is what you will get even without the pass, as reward 5 people without year 1 will get access to technician, as a pass owner all you get at 5 is the cosmetic for the spec weapon

Boosting locks out some commendations, and collectibles....also your skipping the story progression and some learning ( not everyone “gets it” ) and has a million questions after skipping....on the other hand, if you don’t care about story, collectibles or commendations...then boosting gets you towards end game quicker...personally I recommend playing first character all the way through, experience the full grind of getting to world tier 5....you’ll feel what “grinding” is really like....then boost future characters

Drop rate is the same assuming same difficulty/directives, so depending on what location has MMR target loot Summit might be more efficient/less downtime. But if let's say Lincoln has MMR as targeted loot then that's the best choice.

If lvl 40 you can set world difficulty to heroic that’s lvl 4, if under lvl 30 do open world activities connected to said control points to increase their level

How do I know whether a weapon or gear item can be extracted for it's (core) attributes? Like is there a threshold of how high the attribute has to be compared to the current level of attributes in my library or what?

I just recently started to fill it out and so far I haven't been able to figure out what logic it uses, why I can't extract some items even though they have an attribute on them that I haven't maxed (which is all of them for now lol, except Skill Tier)

So if you pick that selection the others are no longer valid since they are lower values

But it only consumes the one item you select to extract from.

In this case they don't have Damage To Armor (white arrow at very beginning of stat bar), they have some SMG damage (8% maybe?) and they have maxed out CHC (orange triangle at very end.)

I finished Capitol, concluding the main story of the game, and consequently Black Tusk has come and effed up the area again. (Yay all my work down the drain! lol)
Is there any reason to not jump into the expansion right away? Like do I need to have a certain level of gear first or anything?
Can I come back anytime to do the non-expansion stuff again?
Also, does the Black Tusk invasion affect any uncompleted stuff I had left in the main game area? It seems at least some of the side missions are still there but I honestly don't even remember how many I had on the map before Capitol...

yeah the specialisation ammo drops in practice seem to be pretty random, not matching the descriptions as far as I can see. Just play the game and they'll drop here and there regardless of how you get kills.

Yeah there's quite a bit more to do at endgame than just optimizing your build and global events. There are raids, seasonal manhunts, mission time trials among other things. However you need to get the expansion as well to enjoy them

The game is a looter shooter what do you expect from pvp, the people that grind for the gear have an advantage, you can kill them but you shouldn't expect to if you know there gear out ranks yours

If you're very lucky with invasions. To first get the Nemesis you need to craft it, and each part only drops in specific invaded strongholds (and which stronghold is invaded changes randomly every week), with the exception of Manning Zoo stronghold will give you a random missing part. To start the crafting you need to do Tidal Basin

you can either get it the long way by collecting the parts from the invaded strongholds or go to the summit and set marksman rifles as target loot and farm with a group there

there's also 3 weekly projects that give an exotic cache for completing them, that's 3 more chances to get it

The problem is that even if you find a friendly person it's RNG, you won't necessarily get one for several hours/days, so don't count on just one person to help you. Set your mind to matchmaking and do as many group activities with exotic drop chances as possible. Make sure you tell the group you're looking for a Nemesis.

I love sniping with the mantis but almost never use the nemesis, the charge up time is too annoying and you can kill regular elites in 4-player heroic with the mantis (at about 25M damage), the only reason you need more would be for occasional bosses and rogues

no it wouldn't, the weakpoints aren't black tusk armour, and i haven't tested it but it should even do 50% dmg and count as hitting a named.

You need to clear tidal basin and get the key to get the yellow sniper and deconstruct it
After that you wait 1 week and have to do 1 of each invaded stronghold, which takes 3 weeks minimum

as long as the group leader is eligible you can force start stronghold for any group members, as for that member, he wont get the named or blueprints or spec points, but will get mission complete xp. but i would not know if it would drop adrestia still for that member, a thing worth finding out at some point

even before wony when force starting was added as default, you could have the ineligible member leave and then rejoin after the leader has started the mission.

Ehhh yah but also include fast travel time and some of the bugs the game still has with npcs, I would say it’s not super worth it, I would say just go with running around the map and just doing shit, if you have time, you can do resource convoys or go to the summit, pop it on legendary, and get god rolls. Again it’s up to you but I say leveling up isn’t really worth for shd points, just let it happen.

does a invaded DZ give more rewards? to be honest, all the items i got so far from the DZ are on par on inferior with the items i have, not sure really the point of the DZ, since i thought it is supposed to be high risk high reward

Most of the items in the DZ are not great and even the ones that do exclusively drop there, the builds with those items are few and far between since they're geared specifically towards a niche role. However, that is the only place you can farm excellent items such as The Gift, a providence backpack with the vigilance talent reduced by 1 second. So, people go wild.

If you do not need the items to drop that are DZ exclusives and are not that keen on pvp, then you have zero reason to join the DZ, honestly.

hey guys, i have question, last december i was unable to play the division 2, which i missed the shrapnel trap skill variant. Now, i want to catch up and acquire this skill, but i dont see anywhere in the game mentioning missing skill (?). I understand a bit that i need to defeat Schaeffer to acquire the skill, but when i clicked on the manhunt menu, it is completely gray. Has the re run over yet? will i be able to buy or acquire this skill any other way in the future

Schaeffer Manhunt rerun JUST starts next week. It might be on the season track to unlock his mission otherwise you will have to wait for the end of the manhunt when the mission unlocks.
