2. If you upgrade one of your own items to prototype one attribute will be increased and maxed out to a new value

For escalations there are a few factors. Generally hot foot, but also due to ads being a huge bullet sponge and then repositioning. Doing that middle of GR9 it'll end up losing Frenzy and be stuck without. With MK the 150rds and the rpm just makes it easier all around.

ignoring the higher reload time with mk46, there is a small issue with it too. if you use gunner and get the buffed reload from it, you will miss frenzy if you didn't stop shooting at all before reloading

the easiest way i found to mitigate it is to use 1p zwia, but ofc that makes you lose some burst damage

i tried both in escalation, losing frenzy on gr9 because of hot foot or have to fall back etc. makes you have to "chew through" the mag, and it's sooooooo long. you really feel it

Alright listen, weapon core attributes are fixed, you cant change them to something else. The only things you can change to something else are the sub attribute and the talent. For any weapon except LMG, Damage to target out of cover is the best choice. The reason why LMG is an exception is because the core attribute for LMG is already Dtooc.

So if possible, look for a weapon that has Damage to target out of cover as the sub attribute. Then you can change the talent to whatever you like or whatever fits to your current build.

gameplay loop is cover -> wait 5 sec -> leave cover -> do dmg -> cover -> heal and wait 5 sec -> leave cover -> do dmg

mind, you can still do dmg while in cover and build damage stacks, but those damage stacks wont activate until you leave cover

A bad location to fight rogues will always be more scary to me than facing a bunch. You can funnel a lot of rogue agents if you aren't in a limited space.

From my knowledge the reason countdown is an effective farm is because proficiency XP is earned through combat XP, and this counts shared XP. Missions could be better if you are killing enough enemies, and quickly enough to outpace a Countdown run.

It'll save you from a couple of bullets but you have to keep an eye on it and don't let it break, the confuse effect can get you killed very easily.
It used to be popular but these days many pure dps players have moved in to other options (eg banshee pulse, decoy) and just use cover to avoid damage

The explosion damage is/was bugged for years, AFAIK it scales of your armour/health instead of the enemy's so it wouldn't scale any differently in escalation vs regular missions. That's assuming it never got fixed (someone here might know for certain).

The only time I've personally seen TP used in escalation was T4, and the only benefit I saw was the red flag buffing everyone's dmg.

Make sure the retaliations are Hyena specific, and running on Heroic difficulty, to get the highest chance on drop. The other option is running Summit, with Gloves selected as targeted loot. Both methods have low % chance on drop, but Summit is how I finally got mine. They also show up from time to time in events as rewards or caches.

It comes down to RNG. You may get lucky, and get them today. It may take you weeks and weeks. If you have friends willing to help, and give them to you. Have as many as you can come along.

Also, you only really need to do Hyena Retal if you want the BP. The gloves themselves should be in the general loot pool, so you could target loot gloves and just run other activies or retals as well.

The META way is probably to equip a loadout with gear that all needs expertise, run in challenging countdown and get carried, donate all the gear you can donate from the countdown runs, rinse and repeat

If you want to dedicate yourself to grinding expertise, focus on Gearsets and Brandsets first. Once they're all done except Yaahl and System Corruption since those two sets are rarely found, look for someone who can host Houndsman bounty farm for named items. Once thats also done, farm gearmods and deconstruct every single one of them to get Printer Filaments, use it to donate stuffs that are difficult to be proficient in. Like skills or useless exotics for example.

I’ve gotten pretty much all gear and brand sets proficient along with all commonly found weapons and I’m only expertise 16.

You can equip 6 pieces of the same gear set or brand and it will level way faster than running one piece at a time
