@eternal edge I feel like you're getting some confusing answers here. The reason you can't one shot a red is because season modifiers are turned on and give some reds a buff to their total HP. If you're going to use headhunter/determined you need to find a red without a blue circle aboe their heads. Basically when you see blue circle above head, expect more HP. I've been running headhunter+hotshot this season and it works out just fine but you need to be careful about what you shoot.

@tepid bronze Decoy is what makes this push a lot less risky esp in matchmaking where people are afraid to cross with you or don't know the spawns and die to chunga. Sometimes the whole team dies to chungas and the decoy helps distract them so you can crack the helmets.

The amount of times decoy has saved me with this build I've lost count.

i've been farming Army Depot for the mask and since so many enemies spawn from a single door for most of the mission, they'll clump up with shields and either melt everything before i can proc my stats or they get in the way of my shot and i lose HH

Late reply but here is what i understand;

WD and "specific" WD are the same line, TWD (total WD) is boosting this total. CHC you always want as close to 60% for crit builds with a few exceptions but generally on crit builds you will have that. CHD is self explanatory, just boosts the hit % on the crit. If you deal 100k and crit for en extra 100% you do 200k now. DTTOOC and DTA are both unique numbers in the damage calcs so having either will just boost the % even more. Typically why DTTOOC is BIS for most guns. Further more HSD and CHD apply on the same line of code and as such stack but obiviously with different triggers.

Mainly speaking you want TWD (vigilance as an example) CHC + CHD (Just a flat out modifier) and DTTOOC and/or DTA. WD in general is only worth it coming from your gear and specializations. I'd tend to avoid stuff like fenris and sokolov for the 10% damage boosts over say ceska or grupo for crit stats. Or HSD on marksman builds.

It's a fine time to start, lots of newish players recently and the devs have been making changes to make the initial levelling process faster and smoother than before. You'll be at a definite disadvantage in DZ pvp, but most players simply avoid that aspect of the game anyway.
The dlcs just add more content and a few new skills, nice to have but not necessary. If you find you enjoy the game enough to want to put a bit more money in and buy them then go ahead, but there's no rush.

Blueprints have 3 main sources, each of which has a different set of blueprints to claim:
Lvl 3/4 control points, rewarded upon capturing the CP.
Lvl 4 control points, rewarded from the big cp cache (once per day per cp)
Descent reconstructed caches.

It's not currently possible to get all 576 blueprints but you can get up to 560 or so

I just started the game and I’m really enjoying it so far, currently level 10.
I do have a quick question about combat, though. Up to now, it’s felt kind of like a hide-and-seek simulator: me and the bots hide behind cover, and whoever peeks first usually gets dropped 😅

The combat feels a bit slow, is that just how the game plays, or are there certain builds, weapons, or playstyles that speed things up a bit? I’ve noticed that clearing enemies can take a while, especially since they instantly take cover

lol that's because it's a pseudo cover based shooter game; generally you need to be aggressive as the npcs will make effective use of cover and flank you.
Honestly I prefer this over the usual dumb AI of other looter shooters. Don't get me wrong the AI in this game is not particularly bright but at least they are reasonably competent.

You have to pick a play style and create a build that facilitates it.
For example if you prefer picking them off from long range, then go with a sniper Determined headshot build (lots of ways to create it).
If you prefer run and gun, then you typically want to use an AR (though other weapons like smgs, rifles, lmgs, etc also work) and gearsets like Striker, Umbra, Negotiator, Ongoing Directive.

Bottom line is, if you sit in one place and camp then your build has to facilitate that, otherwise you will get flanked/swarmed

If you aren't using your pistol to get kills/proc a talent, then it's decent to keep it on a build to get a little buff to your skills.
The most common use for it is on a full red build, you can hold it, and then throw out a reviver hive to get 2x revives instead of 1. Useful in certain group situations.

I like it on my Red Strikers, to get bonuses with something like a chem launcher.

Since you can't recalibrate exotics it is just to reroll the stats. Since armour normally has set attributes it is better to do it if you have low rolls. For weapons same thing but it is also for changing the 3rd attribute. I.e swapping reload speed for damage to target out of cover.

I've been using a Lady Death that has DTA and is fully optimized. I've got it to level 16 expertise. Was thinking about farming a second one with DTOC on it. Then I briefly considered reconfiguring my 16 exp one.

I've got a second question, is anyone else having an issue where they can't start a Countdown lobby? I can make a challenging lobby but when I go to the menu to find more agents, the controller stick moves the difficulty slider at the same time as moving between the apply button and the find more agents button. Perfect determined is definitely worse if you don't want have to aim for the head every second shot, the extra damage from the guaranteed crit isn't generally that great (crit damage and HSD stack additively with each other) and as Phere said the base weapons are a bit weak too.

I missed this part. So the store bought/bundles/season track where it's not a specific brand appearance will be in the apparel menu.
The regular brand/gearset items can be applied in the same area that you apply mods. You'll want to overwrite the loadout so it saves the new appearance. Dyes also show in same spot.

If you want the non gear appearance to accept dye then you need to apply it through the apparel menu

Base stats are fixed, you could reroll it to get rate of fire in the minor attribute slot but that's not the best choice, dtooc is. Chatterbox gets huge ROF boosts from its talent though, just reload when 5 enemies are nearby to get those big numbers.

That's part of the Modifiers that are active for this season. Go into your inventory and click on the icon of your ISAC. It's between your specialization weapon and your SHD levels.

First time in NYC in one of two spots the map website marked as a Hunter location
Second time in DC right when I left a safe house
Thinking these were warnings of Hunters, started looking but spotted nothing
Is this Hunters or something else?

two options imo. you can do hard wired seeker spam. it's less damage per explosion but you can sit in the back and throw seekers non stop. with btsu you can overcharge your seekers (and your team) occasionally:

other option is the ordinary explosive build where you use the mortar more and seekers sometimes:

It's a laptop at the BoO (White House), opposite the outside vendor.
