You can craft them if you've unlocked the blueprint, possibly claim them direct from your watch with scavenging points, or farm them from their intended source (it tells you in the mat section of the tinkering menu)

Much of the time it's quicker and easier to simply farm better rolls instead of optimising.

Catharsis has an issue where it's not in the target loot pool until you get it from the 'random non-targeted exotic drop' pool, so it might be the same with other newer exotics.

depends if your first one doesn't have the 3rd stat you desire and it's decent. use second to reconfigure until you get it where you're satisfied with it and then crunch the first 1

that's what i'd do. if your first one is decent but your 2nd doesn't have the stats. buy the blueprint from Inaya in DC near the crafting station for a reconfigure, get to reconfiguring it (this'll change the 3rd attribute around and the other 2 attributes so you may get worse results or even better)

An all red build, typically strikers, is the regular go to. I personally use a True patriot 4pc with Pointman and Lavoisier so I can proc armor for my team consistantly.

I would be dead 3 times over here. No hive running, (person is using mostly decoy, trap and turret) Is memento saving the player here?

I mean at this point they are still shooting at the player. Still manages to survive, kill this enemy and then turn around and kill the others. I'm just puzzled as I'm trying to make my build tankier.

hard to tell tbh. you can step frame by frame to see what they switch too. its a combat hotswap so they pick every piece. they are primarily using headhunter from what i see, and there would be some room for flexibility if not utilizing a lot og handling

yeah I get it.. I'm getting better at knowing maps, positioning, how AI flanks and what they do.. but sometimes out of the blue, I have plenty of armor and health and then blamo, done. I'll chalk it up to my inexperience but after seeing that video, I would be dead there like 5 times over.

I'd be interested to see if there is a difference. I know sometimes there's no perceptible difference between running Glass Cannon and not, as an example - like it's only <1 sec of survivability longer by taking it off - there's just not an easy repeatable way to test that I'm aware of

I can tell you though.. I replaced glass cannon with obliterate since I raised my crit chance and crit damage on the build I run.. it does make a difference.. but definitely not clear cut.. sometimes as you say glass cannon wasn't really that bad, and some other times it was bad..

it might be something to do with my directives too running special ammo all the time.. that might be what was killing me a lot more on glass cannon as I took more damage from it

If you haven't already you could try the colour blind settings. Some things in the game are better with that changed anyway, such as the hive circle - you can't see it in certain areas with colour blind off

Neither explanations did justice for memento. The talent covers a lot and can turn any dps into a strong hybrid.

Memento is the hardest working single piece in the game.

I look at all it does. Cores and long buff only (at full stacks) represent:
-45% weapon damage
-2 shield tiers
-free armor and skill core
Skill efficiency (% in all Skill Buckets)
-30% skill damage
-30% status effects
-30% skill duration
-30% skill health
-30% skill haste
-30% skill repair
-# skill buckets™️
-3% armor regen

Short buff adds temporary core dependent boosts. so weapon damage, more skill efficiency, bonus armor.

The long buff is what you use it for. The short buff is basically just temp boosts as you fill your talent.

This is kinda not so true. As an extensive memento user, you dont really need to be picking up trophies instantly. It's nice in cqb builds, but it's not necessarily exclusive for that style of build. I've used it in a number of builds (highend headhunter, nego, heartbreaker, highend skill dps, umbra).
Combat doesnt really last more than 5 minutes, and once charged you only need 1 trophy every 5 minutes to maintain full long buff.

I still say that there are better choices on builds that don't use it as extensively.

This is one memento setup with heartbreaker.
It can fit in most dps builds, just make sure your crit is correct for wherever you use it. I also use this in groups, so if someone mentions it's a solo only bag, then it's being colored by ones opinion, not actual fact.

look at pins in build channel. Most beginner friendly build is striker build or turret drone build

then u can use striker build to farm any other build. Use countdown to farm loot and choose your targeted loot. Only go for max stat gear to put into your library or to use. Since if you get 2/3 of the correct stats you can always replace one. the build guide also has images on what pieces should be what.

• the upgrades vendor appears at the start of every loop.
• the restock vendor can appear in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th room of a loop.
• special ammo will carry over to the next loop if you don't deplete them. Different special ammo types give different amounts of ammo. E.g. explosive ammo gives 90 rounds

@iron zinc If it's an Exotic that you can get another one relatively easily, it's worth just farming out a new one and using any Exotics that you don't need for Exo Components.
You will end up using hundreds, if not thousands of Exo Comps over your lifetime play in div2, so it's worth having a stock.

I just came back to Division 2 after a couple of years and have been grinding pretty hard for the past month. I’ve mainly been working on getting items proficient to increase my Expertise level.

Now, I’ve come across some gear that's "DZ exclusive" and… well, I stepped into the Dark Zone for the first time and got wrecked. Repeatedly. 😅

Just trying to extract a few DZ resources had my heart pounding and gave me so much anxiety. I don’t think this is healthy. I’ve been a solo player the whole time and never played Raids, Conflict, or DZ before.
a. Am I doing this wrong?
b. Is there any solo-friendly way to farm DZ-exclusive items (without getting ganked every 2 minutes)?
c. Or do I just need to accept the chaos and find a group?

Any advice or tips from DZ vets would be massively appreciated!

none of the items are actually dz exlusive, even though that term is still incorrectly used, most people will get all those items over time from pve-able sources, mostly named caches

"DZ locked", so there, Conflict Caches, Named Item Caches, very rarely the Countdown Vendor (but not in Countdown itself), and the final Rogue in a Manhunt can drop DZ stuff too.
Your best bet will be Named Item Caches or DZ vendors, overall.

Honestly Dude, try a different DZ. I found West and South to be far friendlier, except when there is an invasion? (Knife over the DZ then it is hellish).

Just now, I jumped into the DZ (top left of the map), hit my first landmark, saw another agent… and since we can’t chat in there, I saluted him. He instantly turned rogue and shot me 😂

Is saluting something I shouldn’t do?
