Directives are modifiers that you can add into the game, they do things like "remove the minimap" or "some enemies have special ammo; fire, bleed, etc".
each one added in increases the amount of exp you gain by a small %, and also the chance that an enemy will drop "Targeted Loot" in addition to what they normally would.

You can have 5 in the main map/missopms. and 10 in Summit.
Go to your map ingame and click on "global settings".

Targeted loot is reset daily for the map. In the summit and countdown you can select your targeted loot. Directives do increase targeted loot drop chance on enemy kills.

Yeah they change per season but bugs can sometimes let you take directives out of summit.

If I delete a character, is there a way to save that characters appearance for reuse?

You can remake them and remember the apparel/appearance mods on gear, but I don't think there is a way call up exact duplicates after deletion.
Tbf you'll only ever need to delete 1 agent for wony watch runs. The rest can always stay as storage

If it's already active you can reenable it after you complete it via the map screen. Just click on the mission and "toggle misison type".

Also you can use weapon talent perpetuation.
It gives status damage and duration once its procced. It only affects actual status applications from skill though. If using eclipse it wont affect any death spread status even though it spends the proc in that case.

That 30% amp is just too good. It pretty much doubles your burn strength. And I'll just mention if you're looking for longer duration it's because things arent dying as quick as they should...
If you double the strength of your fire your current duration does twice the damage, twice the work... if you are already stacked with status, firewall and perpetuation are the only other things that can give duration.
Eclipse is always going to fall a bit short when enemies are spread out... it's not great to kill your damage when you can just send out another chem round.
You are using the ep chest, right?

yep, the optimal roll for the Electrique piece is Status Effects + Skill Damage for a reason. Even got a Golan with those from the pre-Electrique days

You should use status effect as main roll and never use duration gear mods on this build. They do not extend burn duration at all.

Duration mods only increase duration the sticky/chem cloud sits on the ground before they run out if you don't blow/light them.

Raising difficulty increases the "lowest possible rolls" that gear is capable of having, so playing on higher difficulties and either yeah, Countdown, or stacking Directives in something like Summit would help.

However, you really don't need actual max rolls for builds, 80% of the way there is perfectly fine. The few exceptions to that rule is hazpro in the DZ, since 100% pulse resist.

the weapon needs a long underbarrel to equip the linked laser.

You should donate them for expertise

When you use gear, weapons and skills you become proficient with them. Once you're proficient they can be upgraded for materials e.g an assault rifle each level of expertise is +1% weapon damage.

The more stuff you are proficient with the more your expertise level goes up so if you're expertise 10 the max you can upgrade something is 10 times and I believe as of right now the max is 24
