weapons and named items are slower to level since there is a ton of them. if you target weapons a lot itll move proficiency/expertise level up faster.
youll get the gearsets and brand sets leveled anyways since you can donate any of the different pieces to level something.
20 of each weapon, 20 of each named, and 100 of each gear or brand set will make them proficient.

if/when you have watch points you can use as cash and buy up items at vendor as well. named items will use 30 SHD>cash each to level. this is the cheapest method outside of farming the items.

SHD>printer filament (mat donation method) is 300 SHD per proficient item

skills and signature weapons only level through usage or material donations

okay youre definitely gonna have to farm then

you get them from killing named bosses of the faction open-world or summit, field recon is from dz landmarks and control points and other things, shd data is from crafting, levelling up, or painfully slow via countdown, and the rest like gear and weapons is from deconstruction

basically 2 ways: deconstruct lots of items and/or level up fast and use shd lvls - what works best for you

I can't invest that much time in this game, which is why I'm incredibly annoyed that no matter how far I progress, my efforts are always reset by an unavoidable bug. Do you know of any way to at least decrease the frequency of these crashes?

No, sorry.. I can completely understand you. In season 9, 10 idk, I quit the game because I needed to reset the manhunt since there was a stupid key bug where I couldn't hear the audio from faye lau.. At that point, I didn't have the fun and time to do that again. Sadly, these bugs and crashes show the negative side of this game where no player can do something against it. Maybe someone here knows how to decrease that a little but I guess that's not really fixable.

You might look into heartbreaker set as well. It stacks bonus armor as it ramps up damage . It's similar to striker stacking but npc just has to be pulsed to stack.
