Does anyone know up to what point is character boosting (the one that skips the whole campaign) available? I am planning to finish the campaign (at least some of it) to get a good grip of the game's mechanic and story and whatnot (then maybe boost) but I saw a video online that said if I reached world tier 5, boosting was not an option any more. Also, now that I think about it, was the skip up to lvl 30 or 40?

PS: I am lvl 28 atm, with 17hrs in game

You get to wt5 by going lvl 30 and finishing tidal basin. If you boost, its straight to 30 and you skip base game

Yeah once you clear the tidal basin stronghold and reach wt5 you won't be able to boost any more. Boosting prior to that point will autocomplete any side missions & projects you have going on and also fill up your spec points for the older 3 specialisations, which is the only real benefit of doing it at that point.

Personally I wouldn't bother with the boost if you're going most of the way manually. You can fly to NY once you reach WT5 but you also have the option of doing the outskirts missions in proper story order (check the pinned messages in here)

If that's the one I think it is, you have to go down before you can go up: at the back of the room where you cleared the previous wave there's a door with steps leading down to a vault, that's the way you need to go.

Before wony? Yes. Bounties are you best bet but normal/hard bounties give 3 points, and challenging gives 5 per bounty. 165 per spec and include lvl up which gives 3 points, you do the math

The specs don't take too long to level up in my mind (guess it depends how much play time you have), just equip them and do daily/weekly projects, bounties etc and they'll level. Once they're done they're done.

After wony, game gets lively and you can just hop in random activity and let the vets carry bcs you will be lvling up like crazy.

Two days after finishing dlc, now lvl 60. Solo bounty whenever on the side since many parties will also run bounties. Fun with friends and all that

Not all bounties give spec points though - daily and clan ones do, and the reward bounties you get from doing the daily/weekly projects, but not the ones from doing public executions or hostage rescues.

Tank builds are useless in this game. If you have all blue build, it will take like 5 minutes to kill one npc

You do such little dmg as a tank.

Go dps, all red striker build. I clean legendary with all red striker under 20 mins. Learn to play the cover and don’t run out in the open

You can run few armor cores but for the most part with tank you won't be doing any damage
It takes forever to get anything done

All red is preferred but 1-2 blue cores for getting used to the build is fine
Once you feel comfortable you can remove the cores 1 by 1
And keep a reviver with you

One thing that bugged me since the first game is that you can never really shoot out lights, they just flicker back on after a little while.

On floor 10 20 30 etc you can kill the boss and take their loot but leave the rest of the enemies alive. There will be no checkpoint since you didn’t kill everyone so you can go back to the ground floor, start up the floor again and repeat

They will all be available as long as you don’t boost your character

So if you reach world tier 5 and head to wony it will be as if you never touched your dc map. But if you use the boost then all side missions will be counted as completed

Weak points at the end of each arm. Focus fire there when you can. Also, striker drone (if you can target) will continue to damage it. And cover is your best defense. At least that’s how I did it. Completed it first try.

lots and lots of damage. When it pauses and extra lights come on underneath, that means it's about to fire a missile (which do a ton of damage and are often aimed next to cover so the splash damage gets you) - so that's the time sprint out the way. Destroying the rotor weakpoints reduces its mobility a lot.

EMP sticky can disable it for a bit if you don't detonate

Turrent and striker will usually pull the aggro from you
So keep those equipped and try to keep moving if you are in the open

Once you complete wony, that alt will have the same watch level as your main character. You get all the points. ie if you are currently shd level 1000, and you run an alt through wony, you will get 1000 watch points to spend. Now, 800 needs to go towards your watch bonuses, so you end up with 200 scavenging points to spend on materials.

But if your gonna delete the character, don’t waste time putting points into your watch (ie chc, chd, etc.)

Obliterate for an SMG.
If you add up CHC that you can get with using an SMG, that's 10% from the watch, 21% from the gun, whatever from the mods (minus the +mag size), it can get thin real fast.
