Follow the quest prompts in the white house - I think the first one leads you to Manny's room upstairs, but after that you'll visit Kelso in the basement after killing each of the targets.

Note that the fourth target and Anderson himself are not available to hunt yet.

look in the manhunt tab at the first target details, it should point you to an area of DC. Check the world map for that area and you'll see some activities (control points, bounties etc) marked with a yellow icon. Do those to progress that manhunt.

Gunner, technician and firewall are the only ones that need to be unlocked through challenges or paid for

All specs can be unlocked without having wony

Specifically: once you finish the Capitol Stronghold and unlock your Spec Tree of choice, you can now start the "Field Research" for the left 3 Spec Trees.

That or buy the ultimate edition and have those 3 unlocked from go.

And sharpshooter, demo, and survivalist all unlock once you finish capitol and go back to the white house and go to the guy to unlock them

if you do want to unlock some of the other specs (Gunner, Tech, or Firewall) some of the field research can be a real pain, I just did gunner and one of the last steps literally took me a few days, you had to kill a certain named boss by destroying his armor first before killing him and I tried the oxidizer chem launcher, and I just kept killing him before I could break all the armor, a few times I was able to realize i wasnt gonna break the armor b4 killing him so i let him kill me (He was at the end of Roosevelt) but i must of done that mission 30 times before doing it, now im on phase 3 of firewall

Craft the weakest pistol you can, take pot-shots after blinding him. Play it above Normal.
Basilisk done in 1 go.

Yeah that one step for gunner was hard and firewall was even harder. Just decided to buy technician just in case so I wouldn’t have to suffer. But at least I did do that gunner one first try

It's a targeted Rocket Launcher, so you can fire it around cover if you aim it right.

although it's very capable of killing you first.

The spec weapon itself is usually the last reason for picking a particular specialization

It's less that they can be useful, and more that they're the bulk of the reason that you should pick that particular Spec Tree.
e.g. Technician has a bonus Skill Tier, Gunner has free Armour-on-Kill, etc.

yea i didnt realize at first how good some of those abilities were because i had the 3 specs all unlocked, it wasnt untill I unlocked the guuner spec and started leveling it up that I really ready what the abilities were and saw that they were really really good, so I started looking into the other specs skill trees, and now thats more of the reason I pick the spec I agree

Making unconventional combinations with Trees+builds is a lot of fun, everyone in their life should try out a Banshee Pulse+Striker setup.

It does "pulse" them, unsure about marking enemies, although you're mostly going to be using it at Tier 0 or 1 anyway .

If you have all 5 pieces you need to go and complete summit floor 100 to get the project for it.

The quickest way is to hop over to #lfg-pc and ask for a Floor 100 farm/checkpoint.

Although you'll be returning to Summit once you have the checkpoint anyway, since the Project requires Hunter+Rogues+anything else unpleasant.

the Zero F's might actually take the longest, I recommend farming for that ASAP.

get proficiency in every weapon, brand set, gearset to increase you expertise up to level 21
each expertise level lets you upgrade your items up to whatever current expertise level you're on
ex: expertise level 15 lets you upgrade your guns to level 15 (1% weapon damage per level) and so on
you can get proficient by playing with the item or by donating similar guns, gear or materials

Xp during world tiers doesn’t give you any leveling up thing like 1-30 giving you another level just a proficiency cache

Leveling in world tiers is very different than 1-30, you need to equip better gear and beat the strongholds

Everytime i play the game no matter how good the wifi or anything after about 10-65 mins in the game always freezes then kicks me out of the game and i know it is not my wifi i have checked my wifi speed almost everything and they are running very good so i dont know if this is a glitch or bug but yes.

if possible try a wired connection to see if that fixes it, as wifi can be fickle at times, as just having good speed doesnt mean that its holding up in always being connected well or there may even be interference from something that borks it all up

research is to get the spec if you dont have the year 1 pass- if you have the year 1 pass you get them unlocked for free and you get some cosmetics (and a new named item blueprint)

Yeah. That's what I found from the main weapon's description when I first unlocked it. But, I just found out that the bullet's unable to pierce thru simple wall after I am being assisted by the Tactician Drone, knowing an enemy is hiding behind the wall.

Builds are pretty straight forward most of the content is focused on late game and some players tend to struggle on the highest difficulties. I can't speak on pc as I don't have one, but ps5 is relatively active, can always find pvp matches and active dzs some lower difficulty missions don't have people matchmaking though, nearly all the end game content and challenging difficulty plus have people playing nearly all the time

Skill Repair increases heals. Countdown or Any Targeted Loot Area with the highest difficulty and with directives if you can handle it.

DZ enemies and loot are challenging level. It's not terrible but not a good place to farm for something specific with good rolls.

The juice isn't worth the squeeze if you're just farming for gear. The squeeze being your rolls will be, on average, worse than heroic content and you have to deal with extracting it. You don't need to extract targeted loot that drops from enemies so you can see for yourself very quickly.

Depends on the piece. Armor and backpack are the hardest esp if you need to reroll the core. That can take days or longer depending on how much you play. Holsters, gloves, and masks should be no problem. Esp named ones like Fox’s.

Guns can be hard too if you want DTTOOC and be able reroll the talent.

It's worth making the push to Challenging being your lowest default difficulty. Once you have a basic setup going, it's really not that difficult.

It's not a case of hardest or easiest mode, the idea is to get better overall so that your average is still at a level where you're getting decent loot.
tl;dr Challenging and above removes all but gold/exotic/gearset loot from enemies loot pool, making farming significantly easier.

Try doing all the Invaded missions this week on Challenging, steal a build from the spreadsheet over in #td2-build-advice and start putting it together. I recommend something like Heartbreaker/Hunters Fury, since they can self heal easily.

I think it takes the 'speed' of cooldown and increases it by the haste % - so with no haste cooldown runs at 1 second per second, while at 100% haste it cools down twice as fast (2 seconds per second, if that makes sense). Pretty sure there's a better way of explaining it than this, but my brain isn't cooperating right now.

Yup. In my skill build, I have Haste on every piece, but went with Duration mods, because adding Haste mods made minimal difference in cooldowns

imo haste, for assault turrets at least, is dispensable especially if you can place them strategically enough that they can have at least a 180 LOS without being too vulnerable (high ground placements). even more so with an artificer. went with duration mods instead. at least until i got rid of Turret skill builds entirely

I did this about a week ago and all my crashes stopped completely

I found a fix with a program called ProcessLasso. Basically on my side, it was coming from the easy anti cheat Software and the fact that it's using multiple processor cores and thus leading to the random and recurrent crashes.

Once you've installed Processlasso (the free software, buying the pro version is not required), you find the easyanticheat process, right click on it, choose cpu affinity, and then set to either core 0 or core 1. Since i've done it yesterday, no more crashes

Well, your dmg will be quite low

I did run a 2R 5B HF and it was actually still okay

If you use stuff like Obliterate and HF's amp dmg on marked enemies, you can artificially keep your dmg up

And HF has a lot of survivability with the AoK and Confuse effect

i typically run a m60 with some teammates, i don't really care much about dealing damage, im just looking if its still vaiable to take alot of damage

Not really. The armour in this game is not designed to shrug off loads of incoming damage. The difference between 1 million armour and 2 million is just a few shots more. Even if you made a very defensive build with heals from Catharsis and other things like Protection from Elites mods, the game doesn't give you a mechanism to keep aggro on you, so you'll end up just being mostly useless. You're better off going on the offensive and killing things instead.

Anyways, they didnt change much. You just didnt encounter much that actually tested your armor because on normal enemies are kinda peashooters, but on heroic they deal some serious damage
