Well point is, it depends on what upper management wants. And from a business perspective, it makes sense. You'll just get more consumers that way.

yeah, the dlc includes a LOT of content (basically everything added to the game since it was released - gearsets, exotics, game modes, seasons, etc) and is frequently on sale pretty cheap, so it's worth getting if you enjoy the game

Because its relatively frequent. I just always assume that its down on tuesday. Keeping a game running is not an easy task, either. 3 hours is quicker than a lot of games downtime.

It just feels like every second week for a while it's been down when we have tried to be playing. Feels unreasonable to run a 3 hour maintenance at the same time and day of the week all the time. They should move it around a bit.

Moving it around a bit would make even more people mad. Having it be at the same time every week, not including emergency maintenances, means you can plan around it.

That's also not how logistics work. When servers go down for maintenance, it's not just a few racks of computers. We're talking about entire datacenters hosting the whole game for every single region.
Maintenances are planned accordingly to fit a predetermined schedule. The devs can't just up and move it around on the calendar as they please, that's not how it works.
There's plenty of people involved with actual maintenance crews. Imagine having to constantly tell people: "hey, never mind that date, we have to switch to this date instead". It's extremely unprofessional for companies to do that, and quite annoying for the people/contractors involved in the backend stuff.

I disagree. Do you know how large data centres normally are? Sure, it may not be just one rack. Additionally, there may also be some virtual environments and either way there would be clusters. Regarding scheduling, this is where change management comes in. It's not unprofessional to change times, it's quite the opposite. It's unprofessional to not have change management. They could manage maintenance much differently, but they have chosen a way to do it that isn't best practice

Does anyone know the exact condition that causes Fragile Armor to bug? I have zero hope of them ever fixing it, but I'm just curious. I played 71 Legendary Summit levels with a Foundry Bulwark/Liberty build. FA worked as intended. I could remove 1 stack or 2-3 stacks in or out of combat. If you leave fairly at the start of Countdown after the 3 hunters by the countermeasures, you're missing the majority or the bulk of the loot imo. Not a good time investment if you keep doing it in the long run.

Plus, I wouldn't think it's fair or fun to the rest of the players in the lobby since it just becomes less likely to extract with fewer people.

farming for gearset pieces with other colour minor that the core can be quite the task, only 25% will drop with a different colour than the core, so if you are after say a red minor on a blue core item, its even less as it overall half of that 25% so 12,5% (as the rest is yellow minor), and then in red you only probably want one or two types, so a further half of that 12,5%

so many people try one of the fixes, and dont have a crash for a few hours and start talking about how it fixed it before the sample size of time is actually large enough to figure anything out. The crashes seem random, you can have a bunch in a row or none for days. Unless you try something and go a week+ without crashes then im not believing anything at this point

the problem is not the game directly. its the interaction with EAC and a lack of proper memory clearing and management. you can watch the volume growth over time and the breakage at certain points that look like buffer overflow exploits.

there was a regular crash that was roughly every 5 minutes after you logged in that I think was related to the EAC, and even after its been fixed all these crashes get blamed on it. I dont think we have any good evidence what exactly is causing the crashes, and tbh I dont think massive even has a clue

no, not necessarily. I still get the 5min thing on new installs and affinity assignment to a single core fixed that to less than 1%. overflows can be process-based current or leftover unprocessed output. heck, too much audio gets going in a fight in Capitol and rip.

but if you are a person who shuttles certain programs to assigned CPU affinity look up WinAFC. Old program and needs ini built to work and started each time you logout/reboot unless you make a task in the windows scheduler but it works for the affinity assignments I need for various things

it depends on if its the cause of your crashes, currently there are a bunch of crashes that everyone seems to have, but there are still some that are having one specific issue, mostly its also if they are crashing very often, currently i would say the game is running "normally" if you have 1 or 2 crashes per 5 hours on average, depending on howmuch you do countdown, as that is a crashy mess.
but there are cases where people have gone from crashing at a few mins in consistently to "just" crashing a normal amount, especially with the EAC affinity and the exploit protection workaround

You can also level it through donating "Junk" items, and spending resources.
If you want a quick overall boost to your total, try running Countdown with a specific TL (Targeted Loot) and junking everything you find inside that you don't need.

my suggested order is Library > Expertise > Junk > Sell.

Eh. I just got tired of it. Played for a year post launch. Still got my uhh, Original Suit Prime. Not nova, uh, OH! Excalibur Prime. Then put it down, went back at launch of the open world stuff. Played for a while, then was done for good.

I loved Div1 due to the story; my graduate work is Emergency Management with a focus on Chem/Bio agents. But the SYSTEMS were subpar tbh.

I feel like they learned what great RPG systems were and borrowed them and made Div2 great

I liked both, div1 for me was more pure RPG, tactical, the buffs and such.
div2 is more arcade, which works better for long-term play.

I love the fact that i dont need RNGesus to bless me fully, and I can take a "close" weapon/armor and optimize it.
The recalibration library was a great idea.

Those things were gold for me.

Agreed. The only problem i have with it is that its a bit..much. I just started with that recent free weekend. Already pumped 250hrs in.

But just starting out; once hitting 40. Having to worry bout filling out your Recalibration Library first, then finding builds that work and optimizing those.
Oh and farming for the hundreds of Blueprints, cause yeh.

Div2 really is a marathon, not a sprint. It's much more manageable if you break it down into individual tasks.
And it goes a lot faster with a Clan/friends.

My clan mostly got smacked hard by the crashes. Small clan to begin with, but out of 5 of us; only 2 still play. We get the crashes, but not as often. One guy was getting them every 15 minutes almost.

No reason you can't join a new one. #td2-clan-recruitment is quite active, most have their own Servers, etc.
You can probably even bring a friend or two with you, just ask the person posting the advert in a PM.
