Cloud damage is the base damage of the oxidizer chem. To increase the damage tick you'd need to have skill duration mods and attributes rolled along with what ever the talents you use applies in terms of skill damage.

the exp patch was because the whole system was fucked. it wasnt some small group of players abusing a bug, it was every player making progress in the exp system through using the gear in combat. The only way to avoid the bug was to literally not play the game

and not changing it would have meant that using different ways of leveling exp would mean different players had different max levels

I think for HB to be hitting previous numbers with a 3 armour 3 red build you'd need a full red build now, which solves the problem of it being tanky and having a high af damage output

That may be but the cache rewarding system they just did mostly went to players who abused exploits like Theo parnell or floor10 spammers who went from 3k shd to 10k shd then leveled up their geara to 20 plus and it's bogus to see players like rewarded and not banned for those kind of actions

Foxes Knees and Contractors Gloves are "best in slot" when you can reach the CHC cap while having CHD rolled on them and everywhere else on your gear. if your either not reaching the chc cap or are giving up chd to do so, they aren't worth it. Rule of thumb, brandset dps builds have room for them, gearset builds do not

I don't have Max CHD on the watch yet (I took a few long breaks) but my CHC on the watch is almost maxed. I have like 162.8% CHD with the Fox's Prayer and about 59.2% CHC. With both the Fox's Prayer and the Contractor's Gloves, I have the same CHD but 53.2 CHC. Without either and Running 3 Petrov, 1 Czecka, 1 Grupo, 1 Fenris, I have 174.8% CHD, I was over the CHC Cap so I roll some CHC into Headshot Damage and have the same 59.2% CHC. It feels like I do more damage without it but maybe my tests aren't that accurate. I decided to look up a few sites and YouTube videos and a few say to use both, some say to use just the kneepads, and others that don't use them at all. That's why I wanted to pick the brains of the people here so thank you.

so in that case (and in most cases until your basically 100% optimized) youll be better off with just foxes

((Crit shot x CHC) + (Non Crit Shot x (1-CHC))) x RPM/60

If you want to compare builds just go to the range, get those 4 inputs and toss them into that calc. It won't account for some things like talents that build up or reload speed, but it's a quick and simple calc you can use to compare burst DPS between different guns and builds. Don't even look at the dps calc at the range its worse than useless.

It's armor back on kill if you have less than full bar. Not additional armor. And gunner spec is cool for dps, as i stated above - rof buff for 5s, ammo replenish and ofc that armor on kill. Works with AR too.

If you're comparing it, lore wise. And story difficulty as the official difficulty, then it's the other way around. Making Division agents the superhumans.
But then it gets kind of fucked in the realistic sense that enemies die to headshots in one shot, but can't take more than a few bullets to the chest where the armor is.
Which is kind of stupid to think about with how advanced the BTSU are said to be, so it's assumed they all run around with Level 4 armor plates.

Still though, it makes more sense than lighting a guy up with 2 mags worth of ammo on Legendary.

The real challenge is hitting the drones on Legendary. The second the invincible frames wear off, those things are already moving. So the timing has to be 10/10.
And sometimes you don't even destroy it when it's over the operator's head.

You don't really want armor for soloing things. It's nice to have, sure. But for soloing, what you want is to prioritize damage a slight bit more.
Enemy health pools scale per person in a group, so if all you do is solo, maximizing your damage will generally wipe just about anything that dares cross your path. All that without sacrificing too much armor too.
But that only applies in a solo setting. You really need to go balls to the wall on damage if you plan to play in a group on harder difficulties.

The sheer amount of loot drops is ludicrous.

The quality of the loot is heroic, so you're definitely not missing out by farming there.
Legendary still gives you the most bang for your buck on the rolls. But the rate per hour on loot in Countdown more than makes up for that difference.

That's precisely the point I'm getting at. People are upset when the devs decide to change something they themselves left alone because of unforeseen intentions. Div 1 had this problem on a large scale with crafting resources.
Players found clever ways to get lots of resources without actually breaking anything in the game. But it was such a large advantage to have, the devs were forced to change it. People would argue whether or not this was an exploit or just a clever way to cheat the system.
They did that the entire time. Some argued it wasn't even an exploit since everyone was basically capable of doing the same thing. There was no unfair advantage to be had from a player-to-player perspective.

When you start talking about exploiting in video game terms, you're basically treading muddy waters. At that point, everyone has their own personal definition of it.
To some exploiting means using bugs or glitches to get an unfair advantage over other players. To others it means getting an advantage of any kind because the devs didn't intend for it by design.
And then you have the group that says it's not an exploit if every player has equal access to it and there's no unfair advantage to be had. Do you see what I'm saying here?
That's why I said the community has trampled over that line so much you can't even bloody tell where it starts and where it ends.

If you want a prime example of an exploit that the devs of any game left alone, you need go no further than Quake with rocket jumping. The devs definitely did not intend for that shit to exist.
Yet it's become one of the most iconic video game mechanics.

Exactly, so you see then? Just take my rocket jumping example. The Quake devs didn't mean for that shit to exist, yet it's one of the most recognizable things in video games today. A maneuver that cleverly cheats the game's engine.
It was something any player could pull off given they had the skill for it. And it added a new layer of depth to the game as a whole. But because the devs didn't intend for it, is it an exploit?
These days it's simply treated as mechanic. But imagine the debates players had about it back then. Hell it's so iconic, there's a whole Wikipedia article dedicated to Rocket Jumping.

Also the damage from Hardwired isn't even maximized without the chest talent, which hurts a lot because then you can't use glass cannon or any other skill damage boosting talent.

specializations are really just whichever one works for your build
