The difference between named and non-named is just that it has a specific talent with slightly better numbers than the normal talent (in 99% of cases), so you can check if a weapon with your desired talent exists and if it's a good base item. Usually a good base weapon is more important than the slightly buffed up talent though

There is no destiny 3. They would keep destiny 2 on life support to fill the gap. People keep coping on this and it's just not a thing. Bungie went all in on Marathon, even shuttering other projects to keep it going, and that choice is going to cripple the developer. But this is Bungie, and they are very much a cautionary tale of not taking your games community for granted.

Tokens are spent at the start of an escalation by the leader. So whether you complete, crash out or wipe, they're already gone.

They are looking to make it fairer, probably reduce token cost and everyone pays, everyone gets same payout, which is fairer. No talk yet of removing tokens. The whole point is risk reward, so imagine that'll stay.

so i.e it's used in skill support builds like Eclipse Protocol where it spreads status effects in a radius and refreshes half of the remaining status effect duration that's applied to the first enemy

Main builds that use it are: Fire EP, Support Foam EP, CC Focused EP and Hazpro EP.

Sure you can grind. It's just not recommended if you wish to keep your sanity. Max gear and skill mods are total random drops. They can literally come from any source of you play heroic, master or legendary

essentially it sounds like adjustment so it's a fair payout for all. What that will translate to exactly, we don't know at this stage. Lower costs which everyone divvies in is somewhat fairer and also reduces a lot of the leeching going on.
