reconfigure is for exotics which rolls the 2 main stats and the 3rd attribute for weapons
recalibration you can do with everything.
changing the core for gear or talent
weapons you can change the 3rd attribute or talent

once you recalibrate a gear what you changed will be the only thing you can keep changing anything else is stuck on it

so for weapons. peole want to get a Weapon with Damage to Targets out of Cover for 3rd attribute so they can freely change the talent to whatever they need, in case the talent on it gets nerfed or if they want to use that very same weapon on several builds

Just roll with it and spend wiser moving forward

Hi. Got a question on tinkering. I am new to this tinkering thing in the game. So I was trying to figure out how to increase the damage my weapons deal and increase my armor bar. But for some reason and I forgot what I did but I ended up increasing weapon damage a bit and the armor bar for my skills (drone, turret, hive, etc.) also increased. But my own armor went down from a bit over 1M to now a bit over 900k. Is there any way to fix this? As in like increase my own armor but keeping the weapon damage and the armor to my skills unchanged? I am kind of confused with this to tinkering thing.

You probably changed the core attribute from your gear

From blue (armor) to yellows (skill tier)

Also red core give weapon damage

So tinkering can change attributes. Attributes of core can be changed to blue red or green. Blue does increase armour, red increases damage, green, skill tier

In tinkering you can only change one attribute then to max them you gotta optimize it. Also you need to have the attribute to be higher in library to increase it any higher.

Also learn that armor doesn't mean much and the best shield in the game (with unlimited armor) is the cover

Yes, you have to get one piece from downtown east, one from judiciary square, one from federal triangle, so check your inventory to see which one you need and just focus on that area. Drop chances are pretty high (50% or so) so it shouldn't take long.

You can reroll 1 stat, and when it's done you can reroll it as much as you want, but no other stat

So if you reroll a talent, you can change the talent any time but nothing else

Yeah, it was Bezerk, Strained, Safeguard, and Clutch combo in the og days. Bezerk and Strained for all the dmg. Safeguard gave you a massive boost in healing, and Cluth for the 15% hp heals on crit and 2% armor on base

If someone couldnt 1 shot your hp, you basically just couldnt die

Also the cherry on top of the ice cream was having Cloaked for some extra troll in pvp lol

I found a chameleon 4 pc. striker build on reddit - the guy who posted it runs exodus gloves and a Everyday Carrier for chestpiece (uses striker backpack). 45% CHC, roll CHD on the rest, and firewall spec.I don't have the chest and gloves yet, but I love the build for soloing heroics - but without the gloves and chest I can tend to die quickly when caught in a tight spot out of cover*. It's like a hot knife through butter, damage-wise though. (running on challenging is a cakewalk)

I saw conversation about Striker.. let me just say, it's good that there is a set like Striker.. it allows people who are just starting out to not super struggle through content. It's in a way balanced as I was using Striker but I still couldn't do Heroic easily until I figured out other parts of the game and similar. It just made me enjoy the game more and I will try out other creative sets too as they are also very good and offer their own advantages.

I prefer high end glass cannon over striker. Striker is okay but heavily depended on rpm like most of gear sets which i hate.

I am semi auto rifle biased and i also prefer to have damage right away instead of building it. With high end i can also play with different weapons since the set is not restricted to anything and can play mid range, long or from close range. The time to kill is absurdly small mainly when activating overdrive with all the buffs lol

I've also had luck outside the Jefferson Trade Center, so what I do is fast travel to it, move north-east to this cop car with a sewer cover next to it, if he doesn't spawn there then head south-west until you come under an arch, if he doesn't pop up by then, try another spot

i kill and loot him, log off and back on and repeat
