If you look at a control point and there is no reward for a random blueprint on the left you've got the raids, crafting projects, and descent left for farming BPs. You cannnot max that number out.

It's been a while since I played, just now getting back into the game, but if I remember correctly @cinder cloud if you started opening the cache, hit R1 and then L1 real quick to change tabs you skip the 'cutscene' of opening it. You won't see the item you get however is the cost. But it opened them quickly by doing that.
Or if you aren't co sole try just switching back amd forth the tabs after you started opening it to see if it works for you

Expertise doesn't count down, it goes up from making items Proficient (aka: donating them or resources in their place, cap is 10)
The current "cap" is 25, but should be about 26 next Major Update.
once you've reached an Expertise Level in your Tinkering Station, then you need to add it to a specific item to increase the stats. E.g. you have a gun you use a lot, add it to that specific gun.

If you plan to do it eventually, then there's no real need to worry about what you're running right now.
Pretty much as soon as you're able to.
A lot of the player base has moved to Lv. 40 already. You'll have a better experience after you complete WONY.
Gets rid of all the gear score nonsense and keeps everything simplified to Lv. 31-40 gear.
Just equip anything that's better and don't focus too much on builds until you're Lv. 40. As anything before then will ultimately just end up in the junk pile and be trashed for mats.
Completing WONY also grants access to two best farming areas in the game in my humble opinion. Which are Summit and Countdown.
You'll also get access to targeted loot which really speeds up the process in getting builds together.

The special bonuses are modified and generally improve if you equip the chest or backpack of that gear set, but is not necessary.
(i.e. a lot people would rather run a chest with obliterate than the striker chest with the set for practical reasons).

It's a fairly tough one yeah, even after they toned down the enemy spawns a lot. Have to focus on the objectives in each area first and only worry about killing adds if they're directly in your way or you've reached the 'clear remaining hostiles' stage.

Grind out public executions for the faction you want bounty from. You'll get a bounty if both survive , iirc .

I prefer Summit, but only because it's more solo.

What you might be thinking of is the atmosphere difference on both games. I also started on div 2, love the mechanics of the game. However though, division 1 has a way grittier vibe than division 2. I'll forever favor the atmosphere to div 1 than div 2. Survival was awesome in div 1. Sadly, with div 2, there's no snow. I'd kill for snow on div 2. Or better yet, a bad bad rain storm for survival in division 2
