the weird reality these days is that once you have the meta strikers setups (chest and no chest) then you can handle almost any PvE content with enough practice.

solo: know how to survive with game mechanics, build is optimized as much as possible, expertise optional, enemies die before they can rush your position

group: you got good teammates and each one knows their roles, knows how to stay alive, knows proper revive etiquette (always drop hive, no revive by hand)

if you matchmake and expect to be carried, then kick anyone without a build that's good enough (you be the judge of it)

Yea I went in already once with a foam CC with The Setup on and we didn't do that great, I was the only low shd level so wasn't sure if that was the problem or not lol but my build is pretty optimal. Ensnare everything, shoot guys to give teammates 15% damage buff

Skill mods, why do we have several different mods/named mods - for the same slot - giving "+1 Sniper shot" or whatever.
Streamline it so the new auto decon system works even better.

the tl;dr is that honestly there isn't a concrete "best" few anymore, it's a lot more broad now.
Just take anything with a high fire-rate and decent damage and it'll work great.

Anyone who found shotgun builds completely useless? Like if i wanna run off meta with no scorpio, it is so hard to survive long fights on heroic. The biggest problem is the aimbot of enemies. They have top tier damage, accuracy and bullet drop from across the map and it does not matter if they have shotguns or smgs, mainly hyenas are just nonsense.
It is almost impossible to get close into the control point when gold enemies will shred the player into pieces.

You know what helped me the most with a shotgun build? grenades. Find a big cluster of enemies, throw a nade and fire a few shots at something explosive on or attached to enemies.

so many players skip weakpoints, but they really are the bread and butter of playing solo.

And like i said it does not solve the top tier accuracy that enemies have. As soon as they will spread up into all sides, there is basically no way for me that i can cover so much ground when they have no bullet drop and aimbot.

the enemies having pinpoint accuracy is just how it is. either you deal with it or you don't

You absolutely do not have to "play meta", just use a build that works to solve the problem that you have.
your goal is "use shotgun to kill enemies", so you want a build that allows you to get close to enemies and not die when you do.

cover to cover, good positioning, decoy, foam, all these things help you survive to get up close. the enemies are balanced like that to force you to play carefully. if you want to be god mode then run meta lol

the kinda simple fact is that to "tank" in div2 you need a shield, even with cover you won't always have it on hand and you can't survive out in the open without it.

But my problem is not killing enemies that are close, my problem is that before i will even get into close range, they will start shooting me and it will tear me into pieces. There is basically no way how to sneak into control point, how to flank or anything like that since they will see me right away.

I just don´t feel the shotguns in this game to be honest. Weirdly, i don´t have any problems to play off meta riffle build and tank everything and kill everything in few seconds but mainly because the riffle is good for close combat and long range combat.

I don´t have any problems to use striker off meta and survive even from close range. But again, with striker i can use weapons for longer range. Shotguns cant be used to snipe people on the other side of control point.

Oh yea 100% smoother. I'm able to enjoy a lot of the environments much more now. It's awesome. It's nothing major on a lot of the movement. It feels like I accelerate when starting to walk foward a lot faster than I remember but it's probably just my controller or something. Other than that everything is as I remember movement wise

the selling point of a shotgun is it gives you unmatched damage if you can get in range to use it.

just know that some people here have put the time and effort to learn how to not get hit and get up close with shotguns
